*DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME* you will end up paying for a yearly contract and can hardly ever get a connection. The speed was so slow on the off chance that it did work. And when you end the contract and on time they take two months money out of your bank for no reason and refuse to give it back! The staff on the phone are very rude. I am glad I am never dealing with these ever again!

Absolutely AWFUL company to deal with. Constant DAILY disconnects. Beyond useless customer service who always blame the customer and not their own shoddy service. STAY CLEAR! of this company. I have been with EE, SKY, BT and never had problems with them. Don't just go for Post Office because of the price like i did.

Broadband keeps failing. Hopeless Customer Service with time and MONEY wasted when landline is out of action, too (as at present) Approach via 0345... number is particularly annoying 'cos of 'security questions'. There must be a better way!

I can honestly say this is the worst broadband provider I have ever been with. Switched from Sky as their price was creeping up, but moving back as the saving is not worth the hassle. When I contacted them about it, they just emailed me back saying to report the fault and someone will look at it within 28 days.
Connection constantly drops out and although connected to the router, there is no internet connection. When it does work, speed is OK, but nothing special. Don't even try connecting two devices at the same time, one if not both will not work.
I know the likes of Sky and BT are more a little more expensive, but trust me when I say there is a reason for it. I have regularly switched to 'smaller' providers for things like insurance and utilities in the past, but this has seriously put me off doing so in the future. I went with Post Office thinking they are a well known, established organisaion, but am surprised a name like Post Office would have such a poor service.

Do not go for post office if you are going to move within the year.
Not only will you have to create a new contract with them (ontop of increasing prices with the exact same package) but for some reason they will charge you an additional £60 for installation fees even though I had to set it up myself the first time.
This provider is a scam with constant dropouts.

I am disgusted with the service we have received... I signed up to PO broadband in January, at first it seemed fine but we started having problems with the service after a couple of months. We tried all the things they advised to try and get a better reception but nothing really worked.
For the last month we have made endless calls as the WiFi kept coming on and off. For the last 2 weeks we have had no internet at all! Three times I’ve had appointment booked for the engineer to come into our home as the problem is from the inside. Three times no one has turned up, no explanation , and the last time today they even lied and said the appointment hadn’t been confirmed when I had actually received an email with a confirmation reference number sent on Thursday.
I would never recommend this service, and I shall be sending my router back with a very nasty letter of complaint ..

Absolutely horrible broadband. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, whether you want to play games or just surf the web. We only get 2mbps on ethernet and it drops out 5 times a day and when it comes back, its 0.5mbps. As for gaming, I cannot play a single game as the ping is always above 1000.

Speed is average WHEN it connects. if you are just using your internet for the odd email then this would be fine. If you work from home, stream or play online games or anything then this is NOT suitable. There are random disconnections throughout every day and you can be disconnected without warning for up to 10 days.

Service drops every day for a few minutes at the time. I lived in many countries and this is the worst broadband service I ever had. Speed is fine. I would be 100% satisfied if the service was reliable.

The speed ok at about 12 MBps but I'd be having really bad connection problems. I wondered if it might be a crappy router so I tried connecting my previous D-Link TalkTalk router and the connection stability seems to be much better (at least for the two days in so far I've been trying it out). If you do this you'll need to be comfortable logging into the Talk Talk (or other) router admin and adding the post office connection details. You can get these from the Post Office router back up file that you can export from the admin login and open in a text editor.

Post Office Broadband rides on the TalkTalk network, so is privy to exactly the same problems as TalkTalk. Namely in my case its habit of dropping the connection *at least* once a day. As a person who streams almost all my media, this is very frustrating.
I'll be switching again when the contract is up.
TBH my speeds aren't too bad--they have run slow on occasion, but it's rare--and I've never had much reason to contact customer services, but their website kinda stinks when compared to something like SKY's app.

This internet provider will give you stress. Constant internet cut outs for no reasons, late for a bill? Instantly cuts out. Customer service follow a strict guideline and say nothing out of word, they have no IT skills whatsoever. I even switched Broadband and they messed it up, they closed the account and kept the line with them live meaning me having to wait more days for internet to be sorted. They lack any knowledge on how to run an internet service.

Hopeless. 0.65Mb/s download speed from a check I just made! Even at peak time this is bad. Loses internet about every two days. Technical support just said it must be testing the line! What every 2 days!

Awful. Broadband connection kept dropping out. Also, they don't contact you when you are out of contract, you just get a nice surprise when your bank statement arrives. Then, when you change broadband providers, they first send you a snotty letter, and then a bill!
Don't go there!!

I've had several broadband suppliers over the last few years and PO is the absolute worst, we get internet drop outs several times a day (where the devices are connected to the router but there's no internet) and on reporting to them I just get told there's no issue with the line. If I want to download anything then I cannot stream video at the same time. I can't wait for my contract to finish so that I can get back to having usable internet.

I decided to go for the Post Office Broadband when it came to renewing my contract with Talktalk since they offered a really competitive deal.
My advise would be don't use the Post Office. The Broadband has been the worst supplier I've ever used. The internet drops several times a day and when I log a complaint to Customer Service they always say they can't find a fault and say I must have too many devices connected when when I use a single laptop whilst working.

When I moved from a shared house to just living with my boyfriend we dropped from 5 to 10 outages a day to about 2 to 5. How exciting! They spelled my name wrong twice on their paperwork too, though have at least always been polite. Sort of. Cheap, though.
Don't go PO Broadband. It's frustrating. Unless you're broke, then you do what you have to, right?

Absolute nightmare of a company to deal with PO Broadband is the worst I have ever been with when I finally managed to leave them they do not communicate I think I owed £22 when I left I asked for a final amount owing they never got back to me. I was moving house at the time a few weeks went by and I got a letter from some debt collection company CCS COLLECT for £120.80 WTF It was printed on some tissue type paper looked a proper scam and came up as a scam on Google search they give you numbers to contact them blah blah blah none work no contact started to get phone calls from with held numbers phone was blocking them finally managed to answer one of these calls ended up paying £120.80
never got a receipt but I have them on my banking app as commercial collect and guesse what just had a letter from PO broadband to pay CCS £120.88 well they can **** RIGHT OFF LETS GO TO COURT. DONT GO NEAR PO BROADBAND.

How could Post Office have a bad service, on an Ookla Speed test, I only got 7-8 mbps from an Ethernet cable. We don’t use customer service, gonna rate it an average. We have been with Post Office for years which would have given them enough time to go through deals with us and hopefully improve the services but I guess all they want is money?? Post Office should stick with postal and money enquiries and leave the broadband market.
Oh, did I mention that it’s intermittent too? Once every week or so it will disconnect on us, we just wait it through. Would not recommend this provider. Don’t touch them with a barge pole. We are switching to EE, hoping they serve us better.

Outages can exceed 100 in a day ranging from every twenty seconds to every 5 minutes. Exchange is down so no internet for up to 5 days, which also means no TV also. Customer service is appalling. Highly avoid.

When it does decides to connect, the speeds are always as advertised. However, expect it to fully disconnect for 5 minutes randomly throughout the day. You may get lucky like we did and have the disconnects occur at the same time each day so you can plan your leisure time around when your ISP chooses that it doesn't fancy fulfilling it's job.If you don't have tin cans and string to spare, then the PO might be the right choice for you.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this Broadband service is so bad, I felt it a civic duty to warn anyone who’d read this review to avoid Post Office Broadband at all costs. Like other reviewers it disconnects 2 or 3 times a day, now you might say ‘not a big deal’ , but after a few months of this you’ll be pissed off. After nearly a year it’s giving me psychotic episodes and that’s from my 10 year old son. He reminds me every time it’s interrupted, that it’s my fault for buying such crap service. It’s not even fast, just about getting 7mps on WiFi. Do yourself a massive favour and avoid Post Office and the scum that service it Talk Talk and pay a little extra for some piece of mind.

Simply appalling. Connection won’t even go above 1mbps (remember a megabit is 1/8 megabyte making this even worse than it looks). I ran 10 speed test in a row, 4 didn’t even complete because the connection is so poor and the others averaged at 0.15 mbps. The connection drops out constantly throughout the day And Royal Mail say everything is fine.
It’s not, it’s diabolical! We are paying almost as much as a fibre customer And getting a service that’s less reliable and slower than 56kbps dialup. It’s that bad it’s verging on unusable...why am I the only employee at my company who must use a telephone to call into meetings because my internet is that atrocious?!

The post office broadband customer service is absolutely awful. We renewed with them 3 months ago only to get a bill the following month for a different tariff. I called straight away and they confirmed our renewal was not put through correctly and also the agent had mis sold the renewal tariff to a lesser quality broadband. They have sent us Bill's ever since and we have switched provider. They have promised me numerous call backs from the so called manager and they are completely afraid to give a surname. I am still awaiting a call 2 months later. I have told them I will report them to the ombudsman, trading standards and even go to court if I have too. They are just order takers at the customer service department and never want to deal with the issue, only collect the info and pass it to someone else who does nothing with it. I will be surprised if they fix the issue they've caused themselves

I have Post Office fibre. I find it very reliable with average speed 30mb. There is an occasional drop out but infrequently and then for only a couple of minutes. Customer service is easy to contact with minimal waiting times. Professional and friendly help from agents. I highly recommend this service particularly as it is competitively priced.

Do yourself a favour and do not entertain post office broadband, connection is that poor, we cannot even undertake a speed test, neither can the post office tech team. Customer service either cut you off or try to fob you off. No one in the organisation takes responsibility for dealing with the issue, it's always someone else's problem. Lost hours and hours of my life trying to deal with the breach of contract.

Have been with Post Office for 1 year, it is terrible. The download and upload speed is terrible.....paid for fibre thinking it would be a lot better, but roughly the same. I seem to be phoning them quite a lot as our internet goes quite frequently, and all they do is run a few tests, then leave me to undone master switch, and monitor myself, no help at all. I would stay away from this company...sorry I switched now, and have to wait another 6 months before I can get out my contract

Reliability of the Post Office broadband service is pretty bad. It drops out every day or so for 10-15 minutes. It has just dropped for the 3rd time today. I don't know if this is due to the Zycel Hub (AMG1302-T11C) provided by PO or their DSLAM or mismtach between the two. PO BB Operations must be able to see these problems - I guess they don't care.

I don't have a problem with broadband speed with Post Office. But I do have a problem with reliability. The broadband connection drops out for 10-15 minutes every day or so. Not sure if this is due to the Zycel Hub (AMG1302-T11C) provided by Post Office or their DSLAM (or mismatch between the two).
