Just ranting,SKY will never, ever change, they are tooo big and fat and lazy and rich. After the usual complaining about download speeds of less than 300kb/s I was told that the BT line is to blame and that they can do nothing. When I said I would pack them in and move to another fibre ISP I was quoted the terms and conditions of my contract and the penalty for early cancellation. What a cheek.

Absolutely awful so far! Just decided to change over to Sky completely to include Broadband, phone Sky + & multi-room. What a mistake! Placed order but I could tell operator didn't know what she was doing. Claimed bad line and she would ring me back in 15mins - didn't! Rang again and found out order had not been placed. Went through it all again - sorted? 'I have your complete order and now will pass you onto the relevant department to process' So you can't do it then- 'No'. OK then, Do I have to go all through this again.'No, I will tell the details'
' Hello Sir, you want to add a package to your TV? 'No' I thought the other guy explained what I wanted? 'No, I can only add a package to your TV. But I want to reduce my TV package but want phone,Sky +, Multi-room & broadband also. 'I can only add a package and will pass you to those departments..'
Sky man turns up to install + & multi-room ..'Here to replace your old box with + box'. 'No' You should adding a + box & doing multi-room. He shows me his order - its wrong not surprisingly! HE IS EXCELLENT - THE ONLY GOOD EXPERIENCE SO FAR! He fixes everything as it should be. He was brilliant. After all this -phone has now supposed to have been changed from BT & TV ok.Notification from BT, broadband ends 18th Jan' Sky broadband account starts 19th Jan. Checked progress of Sky account. Router not yet dispatched! Now it doesn't take many brain cells to work out that if one is leaving one supplier and giving your business to another that there should be some continuity here! Apparently the router only gets ordered after the phone is changed over from last supplier! Rang Sky and was 'hung up on' by young lad who didn't want to deal with it - suddenly pretended it was a bad line. I had not been rude to him at all.Rang again and explained issues. Laura(?) very nice and helpful. Said she would ring back shortly - didn't, but to her credit did call back about 4hours later. Said she had to cancel order & re-order router again but it still would be 3-5 days(working days(?)- then its a week) If I had known how bad this experience was to prove then I'd would've stayed with BT.
Only time will tell if the broadband service is as good as some of the comments I have read about. So far SKY - the whole sorry tale has been totally unsatifactory!!!

Sky broadband are absolutely useless. It is always loosing the connection most around 4pm onwards and the only way to resolve it is to keep shutting down and restarting which as you can imagine is not always helpful. Trying to contact them and get help is yet another story - they fail to recognise it maybe their fault. Yet I have had another supplier in the past and never experienced this problem. Don't go with them if you want a reliable service

Was going to change provider just over a year ago as sky was getting too expensive. They reduced the package meaning less programs but it did bring the price down. Was promised a new router as ours was over 10 years old. It is now been just over the year of the contract we were persuaded to to take out. Broadband speed is almost none existent still the router hasn't turned up.
It seems they will tell you anything including out right lies just to tie you in to a new contract.
Currently looking to change provider wouldn't advise people to use the if they were the last provider left on earth.

My experience with Sky has been very good and I am pleased that I switched. I use a basic mobile phone - I am not a fan of mobile phones and what they can do to our brains, so I use it sparingly. I have unlimited landline phone calls instead which works well. I use my router with my computers.

Sky customer service is excellent. Their staff are nice. I had a dreadful time with TalkTalk who gaslighted me throughout my contract so it was a relief to switch to a company that provided me instantly with what I requested, without arguing and lying about a product that did not work and was not fit for purpose. I am referring to the Huawei router that TalkTalk uses which is unreliable rubbish that should have never been sold to customers and I am disgusted and appalled that TalkTalk get away with conning the public on a daily basis with the mind control tactics their time wasting customer service use on customers.

Sky broadband is fast and smooth and I am grateful to have a router that does the job.

My broadband has been consistently good, if it occasionally stops it comes back on again quickly. YouTube live streaming gets delays but not a major issue. I can watch YouTube videos without seeing the service dropping every 3 minutes (time and time again) as it did with TalkTalk and some days there was no service at all. The fast broadband router is great for those with arthritis or problems holding objects, it is light and flat and easy to handle. The gentleman I spoke to at Broadband.co.uk was efficient and very helpful.

Had issues for over a year, where the router will stop devices connecting to it, or "Connected, no internet" message will appear, Sky refuse to send an engineer to look at it, as it is apparently working fine on their end, and apparently the router internally is working fine. Diagnostics and a reset typically works and fixes the issue, however the issue is back after a few days.

Sky have tried fobbing it off as an issue with a device in the house, yet every device when it works can connect fine, and we have tried connecting each device to see which is the issue, and none are the issue.

The router being used is the one sky provided when we joined around 10 years ago, they refuse to replace it, even under the insurance policy we hold with them.

The reason I gave you one star is because I can't give you less. The quality of the service is horrible. I'm changing my Internet provider first thing in the morning. Today I have wasted about 2 hours of my life trying to get in touch with sky. Not doing it again!

Horrendously slow internet. We get anything between 0.9 to 2.4 mbps and on very rare occasions it peaks at 4.27. We have 2 PS4 consoles so if anyone is using phones, tabs ect they have to come offline. The problem is we pay playstation plus subscription fees to stream games which is IMPOSSIBLE with these speeds. It has gone down about 12 times in 12 months, constantly fobbed off by SKY. BT own the lines so they probably give priority to their own customers to keep them happy and are quite happy to p** sky customers off. Well it works because I just ordered BT infinity 2 70 mbps broadband. SKY TV is a waste of money, sky sports pathetic. They're greedy con merchants, even channel 5 shows live boxing for FREE, SKY only show it on box office for £20.00 a fight! BT have all rights to champions league games for next 3 years. Goodbye SKY hello BT.

Be careful of SKY - they lie!! I've now had two bad experiences:
    - they tried to overcharge me for a contract that had been cancelled. Despite them agreeing I was right after playing back the phone calls I made, they tried again to charge me. I then decided I needed to resolve it in writing, and used Martin Lewis's approved 'Resolver.co.uk'. They then had the cheek to say what I had been advised by their adviser over the phone about contracts was wrong, and therefore I'd still have to pay. I'm still battling with them - it started on November 22nd, and email letters are still going back & forth. Think I'm going to have to visit the Citizens Advice Bureau and threaten SKY with 'small claims court' action. The amount of time I've spent is ridiculous - I think they know most people are too busy to do this (especially Sky customers), and therefore will just pay up - it's £55.
Secondly, they lied when my elderly mother moved house. As I knew she'd struggle to remember a new phone number (after over 50 years with the same one!!), I asked if we could have one that would be easier to recall. They said yes when I placed the order, & said to phone after installation. Which we did & they then said there was no way we could do that. Again, I think they work on the assumption people won't be hassled to change & be without a phone line. We did - and went to Virgin, & were able to choose a number.

Having moved from a Virgin Media serviced house to an area not served by Virgin we had no real choice but Sky. They promised we could keep the number I have had since 1989, they promised we could keep our email addresses and TV would be connected the day we moved.
    All lies. Yes all lies
You cannot keep your Virgin phone number, You Virgin email only receives ( does not send) for 90 days and when you get your telly...? God Knows

Sky are crap. Their salespeople are outright liars who will say anything you want to hear just to get the sale.
They know that the BT offering does not compare so they have you by the short and curlies. BEWARE !!!!
    CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP

The worse broadband I have ever experienced. My neighbours get around 30-50mbps with other competitors whereas we are on .5mbps most of the time and will be lucky to get above 1.
The connection drops for around 1 min every 10-20 mins and I can't even stream videos at low quality. Same thing happens with phone calls after about 30 mins. Customer service is shocking (the woman on the phone bought my wife to tears) and the overworked engineers they send out (late) don't know anything as they are used to setting up sky boxes and dishes... (the engineers told us this themselves) they will also cancel appointments without notice so you take a day off work and wait around for nothing. I have now cancelled and BT have set us up with a guaranteed 50mbps connection with great customer service. I implore you to NEVER CHOOSE SKY FOR PHONE OR BROADBAND I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. NEVER HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH A COMPANY.

Made switch from BT to Sky 3 years ago and upgraded to Sky Q 12 months ago. Get 40Mbps speed reliably and good service from Sky. Expert installation of Sky Q with new hub/router, 2 day response to Replace Sky Q box. Negotiated reduced cost for broadband connection. Can’t complain like the others.

Sky is the worst internet broadband from them all turns off all the time stops working and the speeds are not as advertised I am getting half what I am paying for they are a scam when its past 2am they lower your speed by 10x to make more money they dont care about the customers they want to make as much money they can. If you want to get sky preaper for the worst internet in the uk 65% of people in uk had problems with sky this shows you how bad their internet is and if you a gamer you will be not able to play any online games and download anything from poor internet from sky I would rather pay 3x more than have sky its a ripoff

This is absolute garbage! The internet goes off for no reason when I never even touched it I can never play or watch tv or do anything with this stupid broadband! The customer service is absolutely terrible! They never help, all they do is say it’s fine when it’s not and worse is we phoned them up and the man told us the few steps to make it work and then the next day it was worse then before! Want a so called broadband that never goes on and then the costumer service is completely helpless and your stuck with no internet and money for weeks?! Then get sky broadband.

I've been a Sky+ HD, telephone and broadband customer for the best part of 3 years and during that time had very little issues with the (non-customer support) service received in return for my £60 pcm. The broadband was always fast and reliable, the phone line was always active and the HD TV quality was great.

When we first signed up to Sky 3 years ago, they confirmed an installation date and then didn't even turn up/communicate they were no longer coming so having taken a day off work wasn't a good start.

In addition they started the cancellation process of my Sky contract on the instruction of a 3RD PARTY without even checking / validating the request with me!! This has led to weeks of jumping through hoops and being passed between Sky departments to avoid having the broadband and TV cut off.

I'm now looking to move house which will require me to move to a temporary property before moving into my new permanent one. This means that I can't simply move my Sky subscription so instead I'm having to cancel my subscription with the intention of re-joining in a month or so.

Trying to cancel my contract has been a complete nightmare. Sky appear to have deliberately made the cancellation as difficult as they possibly can, ignoring emails and letters, not returning phone calls, cutting me off whilst on active phone calls and passing me around department to department. When asked to speak to a senior manager/complaints department they repeatedly cut hung up on me or refused to put me through, stating that Sky doesn't have a complaints department (despite it clearly stating you can complain by phone on their website).

I am SO dissapointed with Sky's customer service that there is now no chance that I will re-sign up with them when I move into my new property as I will opt for BT or Virgin Media.

After 3 years a couple of weeks ago I decided to cancel my account. Broadband speed had been always a problem and prices for TV packages are normally expensive if you want to get a few worthwhile channels. But the worst thing ever is the costumer service; while being a costumer they treat you as everything is fine, there’s a solution for every need. Today I called them and the lady shouted at me and interrupted me few times. Her answers completely changed. A couple of timed she said things like you have to...
Even worst is their treatment to the environment; I said I want to send back the equipment and they said it is mine and so it’s my problem now...do they never heard the expression from cradle to grave? At the end of the day,I’m still don’t know what to do...A really shame!

Don't do a mistake like me by joining the sky. It is the worst broadband and they want to trick us. How?
When you are new to the sky and when you have time to cancel the wifi of sky they give you good and fast wifi but when you passed (31 days) the time to cancel the wifi and now you can't change to other companies or you have to pay monthly even if you are not using the wifi, then start to slow down your wifi. they make too much slow even you can,t use facebook or load a image. So don't be a next victim and use your mind.

Worst off the worst. Bunch off scummy rip off pigs. Waste off time and money. They charge you extra money a month and increase your monthly payment without giving any notice and when i was having issues with my internet they try and tell me its going to cost 100 pounds to bring out a muppet to check whats wrong. All you at sky are scum, useless daft rejects. Get a grip off your useless lives. And also get your customer services checked and stop putting people on hold for a week just so they can speak to someone sitting in bin ladens training camp. Go slit your wrists you scummy pigs.

By far the worst wifi I have ever used in my entire life. The wifi won’t even reach throughout my whole house, it won’t even reach to my room which is less than 10 metres away from the wifi box. I have lost count of the amount of times my household asked customer service for help and to fix the problem, every time they come over and say they’ve fixed it, but actually haven’t because I don’t see a single difference with the poor connection. Would never recommend this broadband to anyone.

    Horrendous.
    1. Service had multiple bugs and issues during usage period.

    2. After ending my contract early SKY continued to ILLEGALLY bill me on a monthly basis having despite confirmation of cancellation via email.

Happy to take your money even if your no longer their customer.

    Extremely disappointed and feel exploited.

    Terrible experience,
    DO NOT GET SKY BROADBAND

*unless your happy to pay bills 3 months after your cancellation.
