The staff seemingly have scripts that they follow and no matter what you as a customer say, you will get the scripted response. I wish I was partial to a nightly tipple when I ring them as they would certainly drive me to drink. I have been on the phone for hours, (no hyperbole) and still not resolved the issue even when it has been very simple, on any planet except planet talktalk, who would never ever admit they have got it wrong or do not know what to do. I am a pensioner on a fixed income, but would rather pay more for my service and leave talktalk behind as I cannot deal with the stress of dealing with the ineptitude of the company,

I would confirm the previous review. I have been a talktalk customer for 20 plus years and have always paid my bills on time and in full. January 2015, I was billed incorrectly and queried this by email 3 times and by phone 5 times. Totally dissatisfied with their inability to rectify my account I cancelled my direct debit to innitiate a response.I also sent a formal letter of complaint to their customer service department to which I received a reply on 16/4/15 stating that I would receive a final bill on 15/5/15. Today,25/4/15 I have received a letter from a Debt Collection Agency!! For £68 which includes £20 admin fee. Stay away from this inadequate company.

LOL! TT think that they're going to charge me £300 for cancelling my contract! I can't wait!! The Asian person I spoke to did her best, but didn't resolve the issues, for which I'm paying almost £40 a month. I have 2 words to say to TT and the 2nd word is off. How very shoddy. No service of any kind. I refuse to pay. Charlatans and Thieves at best. I want to go to BT - at least they are reliable. I was told by a BT rep that they had to accommodate the "opposition" to maintain the market. Isn't it a shame that there's only one Monopolies Commission? TT can try to sue me. I look forward to that. Is there enough of us out there, to take on TalkTalk? I'm 4' 11" and 7 stone, on a good day with the wind behind me. I can take them on my own, if you're all too scared.

I have at last rid myself of this abysmal company they are a terrible company to deal with, and the price kept going up on my direct debit like a broken escalator.
On transfer to a decent company talk talk kept sending unsubstantiated bills its useless to ask for a written explanation. A horrible experience with a company that could not care less.

You need a 'zero stars' setting. Fibre broadband at 11-12mbps where service promises 18+. No engineer on installation day, despite threat of £65 fine if you aren't at home. Lots of calls result in three identical routers being sent as the 'fix'. Call centre staff read from a script and cannot help you. We suggested paying non-fibre price for their non-fibre speeds. We have escalated and, of course, will receive a managers call within 72 hours - not!

By far the worst broadband service I've ever encountered. Website very slow, constant confusion over bills. Charged for delivery of router I didn't order, no landline fir a week following connection, service constantly dropping. Enough is enough and I'm out if it.

IT IS THE WORST OF THE WORST !!! Never seen something like that , internet not working for 6 months in a row and they still ask some time to figure it out .. they are a joke!! they are charging you every month for not getting any service , seriously a Consumer Body should step in as they are scamming consumers. I will bring them to the court.

WORST BROADBAND COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I phoned them to cancel my line as I was moving. I was told this had been done and thought that was the end of it. They continued to charge me for months after I had stopped using their services. I only noticed after going through my bank statements. I called to complain and got a very rude and unhelpful advisor. CHEATS, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

OFF AS MUCH AS ITS ON. CONSTANT ONGOIGN PROBLEMS STILL 18 MONTHS DOWN THE LINE AND ITS ALWAYS THE SAME PROBLEM - THE EXCHANGE. BUT TALK TALK CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND WE ARE TALK TALK'S CUSTOMER (NOT BT'S) PAYING THEM FOR THE SERVICE WE ARE NOT GETTING
Talk talk are an absolute joke and their customer service and any contact is ALL via DELHI INDIA. Regardless of what speed they say you're going to get, all you'll have is constant ongoing problems they cannot be bothered to contact BT engineers to fix.
Its now OVER 12 months and they STILL can't resolve all the problems they have caused us. Continue to blame wiring etc at the home (which is just an excuse because BT Engineers have wired it all up) and all confirmed themselves the problem is at the BT Exchange in padiham and NOTHING to do with the home. Yet talk talk just like to keep fobbing people off because they can't even understand half the english you are communicating to them via DELHI
NOT to mention changing our telephone number over to SKY for 4 days without even knowing about any of it (I discovered this)
THEN numerous times including recently NO TELEPHONE OR INTERNET FOR 5 DAYS (SAME BACK IN FEBRUARY) - THERE IS JUST NO EXCUSE FOR THIS
The best way anyone can know what kind of service they are going to get (should anything go wrong) is find a direct contact EMAIL for them and see what happens. I tried this before joining SKY recently and well all I can say about them is its the same if you have ANY problems (they don't want to know and even managed to cock everything up once we'd paid and signed up with them) EVEN before the live date with them they managed to cancel it when it was paid for for 12 months
So if any internet provider PASS the direct communication contact beforehand, its always a good sign BEFORE signing up. Its been fail proof so far
needless to say we WILL be changing over again
don't forget to go via topcashback for a good saving with any internet provider !!!
the connection has just gone off AGAIN before posting this message. I have constantly sent hundreds of emails and speed test over the last 18 months and they don't care and never solve the problem which is STILL on going
If you are looking to pay for a service you are NOT going to get half the time then perhaps talk talk is for you !!

Talktalk is terrible! I wish i never paid for a full year with them, i got told i would receive 10.4mb/s and i get 6.7 at the most... When i signed up with them i was talking to a member of the talktalk team in britain and could communicate without a problem but as soon as i was signed up i was diverted to indonesia everytime i had a problem! Youtube videos won't play... Internet cuts off at times... Slows down to 0mb/s some days... Complete waste of money and will leave you very dissatisfied. Go somewhere else for broadband and avoid this company like the plague! Nothing but regret for signing up with this shower of useless fools

Customer service is not existent, impossible to contact them after cancelling my account in December and making me pay an extra month of January. I keep receiving letters saying that I still owe them 10 pounds for the month of February and with the interests 32 pounds now. Ridiculous. I won´t use talk talk again

If I could give 0 stars I would.
****AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS***** Talk Talk are the worst company that I have ever dealt with. They are expensive and have the most appalling customer service. I moved house in Oct 2014, and called to move broadband to now house - which they couldn't do due to a fault on the line so I cancelled. It is now April 2015 and after 7 phone calls (totalling 5 hours of my time), 7 emails and a formal complaint to the CEO office I am still receiving bills from them. I am now going to the Ombudsmen as they just wont stop emailing me bills, and wont take my complaint seriously. I would not touch this company with a barge pole -
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

Been with AOL since 1997, has been good service until Talk Talk took AOL over since 2006. Since 2013 the service has become very poor and next month I would be a Talk Talk customer, I had applied for my MAC code and they tried to put me off in trying to get me to sign up to a cheaper deal which I was not interested. Would not recommend Talk Talk as the customer service is poor, also had drop out on the internet on many times which proved to being a fault at their servers.

i have been a talk talk customer for 10 years and used normal broadband for most of that time. a couple of weeks ago i moved over to medium fibre. Wow, what a mistake. the performance seems very bad, 30 mps download, and 1.89 mps upload.
It really does appear to be about the same as my old broadband. i rang talk talk and spoke to approx 6 people over 2 days and about 2 hrs. they tell me that they meet specification and as such i cannot cancel the contract. if i do the costs will be approx £500. So be very very careful if you intend getting fibre with talk talk. i feel that i am having money taken from me for the next 18months for very little in exchange.

This is about customer service and the wretched Uview box I returned in July 2014. I have letters from them to prove I returned this box. Still going to charge my account. I have cancelled my account. You can use the Ombudsman to sort out your problems with them. I will if they continue.

I have a problem with slow download speeds (0.3 Mb/s) and my landline is not working at all. Following the diagnostics on their customer website I am always directed to the solution - ring talktalk for free on your talktalk landline - this is useless if it is not working!!
The problem has been noted by talktalk but nothing is happening to rectify the problem and trying to get help from online chat is a waste of time as the agents are always busy helping other customers - there must be a whole load of customers with serious problems.
I expect there to be some problems at times with any internet connection but the way to judge a company is in the way they respond to the problems and the effort they put into resolving them - so far there has been no attempt by talktalk to fix this issue.
Luckily, a contract is a two way thing and yes, I have to pay, that is my side of the contract, but they have to provide the service for which I am paying - that is their side of the contract. As they are not providing the service they cannot demand payment and when I cancel my agreement they cannot impose penalties.

Been with TT for over 5 years. Never any problems until yesterday. Modem showing unable to connect to broadband. Went through the usual tests with no luck. Phoned TT suport and was talked through diagnostics. They could see I had a problem but no solution. Engineer visit scheduled next day. Engineer arrived, as scheduled, replaced router and everything worked. Even better, sync speed is the same but download speed has improved from 1.8Mb/s to 2.0Mb/s. Very good service from TT.

Terrible service, can't wait to get away from Talk Talk.
We lost services on more than one occasion because we used the phone above their monthly limit - not one set by us. We were on direct debit but they would block all services and they weren't automatically returned.
Contacting them is torture. Multi-level menus, then when you finally speak to someone they sell and block you cancelling at every point.

Broken promisses: initially TalkTalk connection did not work, so I wanted to cancel by excercising my 14 days sstaturory rihgt. They said they would send an engineer free of charge.
Engineer discovered no fault at my side, and TalkTalk resolved the issue somehow at their end. I was charged £50 anyway, so in effect they lied to me twice: first they promissed not to charge me the £50 even if a fault is discovered at my end, second their policy is not to charge if no fault at the customer end is found.
I've been with TalkTalk for 2 years, now I am quitting and going back to BT, the main reason being that there is no internet connecton ca 30% of the time, and this is a bit too much.
My advice: steer clear.

Awful company food if nothing goes wrong, if youbget a problem it takes about 10 mins in phone calls to get through to a person and they do not understand the problem and jyst repeat themselves asif they are reading of a screen do not help then at the end of the phone call they have the cheek to ask if you are happy with the phone call AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! Id rather stick with bt or sky and pay a extra couple of pounds more a month
