    Absolute rubbish service. never had I had to deal with people who don't want to help you let alone understand your requests.
    Cancelled contract but still they take money from my account. to get it back is almost impossible. Thank goodness I have left them. I value my sanity!!!

    I missed payment on my bill by 2 days the restricted my services on Sunday. I paid Monday morning at 8:30am my wifi still hadn’t been turned on so I spoke to somebody on the online chat and they assured my that by the end of the day my wifi will be reinstated. It got to 7:30 and nothing I went onto online chat again and they then told me they’d raise and escalation as there’s a bar on my account and that it can take 24-48 hours i waited until wednesday, still no wifi, I called and was on the phone for 2.5 hours being passed from one person to another none had a clue what was going on and when I asked for a manager they couldn’t get me one I had a text on Wednesday morning saying the manager would call me that day between 2-4pm I had no phone call then when I brought this up to them they said no it was for the 4th but on my text it clearly stated the 3rd/ the women I spoke to literally didn’t have a clue what she was doing she even admitted she didn’t have a clue. Talk talk hire people who don’t have half a brain on what to do and now they have whacked my bill up to £107 saying I hadn’t paid last months which I paid Monday and demanding payment for this month early which I am not doing! I will be changing networks to get away from this shambles of a company! If your thinking of joining steer clear! Awful rude customer service and they don’t have a clue what to do half the time!

    Worst company I have ever dealt with. Intermittent service and slower than minimum promised speeds on a regular basis.

    I now speak to their useless customer services team on a regular basis (daily....sometimes up to 3 hours) to only get the same issue over and over.

    Pretends to care about the customer but when questioned with logic always seem to try and find an excuse to end the call/chat by promising a manager will call. Surprise surprise no call ever comes through so as a customer you are back at square one calling their useless team again. Its an endless loop with no route to solution.

    I am now waiting until I can cancel their contract which will take me another 30 days. honestly the worst service I have ever had and I have flown Malaysian airlines.

    Don't bother, broadband is 0.42mbps not the guaranteed minimum speed promised of 1.3mbps. Made a complaint nearly 2 weeks ago and have had no contact whatsoever about what is causing this, when they said I would be updated within 48-72 hours. Now on-line with them and they are driving me mad. The original guy said if the fault can't be sorted out I can cancel with no charge. the on-line advisor says he can't do this unless I show him a copy of the transcript I had, well who keeps a copy of that, what a joke.

    I left TT after the recent data leak fiasco. I am receiving 3 to 4 calls a week trying to scam me, saying 'about your TT software and PC problems'. As I have none of these I respond VERY robustly. However they never give up trying! A rubbish company/ISP. Thanks for nothing.

    There's just no point even trying. I am trying to cancel my contract that I started yesterday after reading reviews on here. If you mention cancelling on the phone options you simply never get through. I said I wanted to upgrade just so I could get through to a person and as soon as I said I wanted to cancel she said she would transfer me. I'm currently on hold and I doubt I will ever get put through. They seem to make it impossible for you to cancel and you can only do it via telephone. When you call you need the home number.

    When I tried to upgrade from basic to Fibre I was connected to the wrong junction box, over 1 month period they firstly insisted I was connected to fibre when not, then sent engineer who confirmed I was wrongly connected did not correct problem, then wanted to send another engineer although they knew the problem, finally said they would cancel order & reorder to correct mistake but did not correct to fibre just put me back to basic. Each phone call I made to complain & request fibre I ordered led to incompetent operators telling me I had to be at home for engineer calls, missed appintments or wrong dates given more days waiting while they messed with the line their end. Total incompetence. When my original contract expires Im looking to swap & good riddence to talk talk.

    NO STARS! Don't use this company, whatever you do!
    I am appalled by how they are treating my mother, given she is 92 and currently in hospital with a broken hip. She has been with the company for many years and recently she finished a contract so they put her immediately on to a full paying bill without ringing her to let her know. They say, as their excuse, that they emailed her to let her know - she's 92 years old - do you think people of that age check and understand their emails?! Yet they were happy to continue charging her nearly 100 pounds a month so she is able to make phone calls to her friends! When we tried to ring the call centre, it took 3 requests to speak to a new supervisor to get a decision that, frankly, wasn't acceptable anyway - but they wore us down. They refused point blank to refund anything despite the fact she's in hospital and may never return home and had no knowledge of her contract running out. In addition, they insisted initially of charging her full fees for a least another month when we said we wanted to cancel her bill - eventually they agreed on "only" one more week of bills, despite the fact she has been in hospital for 3 weeks! My intention is to never pay this company a single penny again as they are thieves. STAY AWAY!

    What is there to say.. you get the same broadband as taking a cardboard box and calling it your 'internet router'
    The customer service, yeah they came to 'fix it' will apparently be working 2 hours later. Don't even begin to ask why as they have no clue.
    Low and behold it still doesn't work the next day. This is not anywhere near the first time, we WILL be switching.
    Overall not suprised, i just plead to the ceo to just close the company as it clearly was a waste of everyones time and money.. thanks.

    Do not use Talktalk they are a complete waste of time and their customer service skills are something else! I phoned the helpdesk in India about 6 times which was almost laughable and had engineers cancelled without notifying us so we wasted days off work to wait in for them. When I complained we were offered £10.43 which was a total insult as we were without broadband for 3 weeks.

    Been AOL customer over 10 years, no real problem. Was never told they became Talk Talk until February 2015 when my broadband stopped. I was being charged £22 per month for just broadband, my phone line is BT. When it all stopped I contacted them and basically spent almost 4 months trying to get it sorted. Talk Talk said it wasn't there fault it was BT line of course BT said no it wasn't.
    I went to Ms Dido Harding CEO by email, she then put her team (her words not mine) on to it. They told me I had a rubbish line and I was paying so much because BT charged Talk Talk so much. I have now walked away and I am going for compensation. I advise anyone to go to CEO direct, it did help me.

    When it works its good. But it took a year for them to fix a problem of it dropping several times a day. In the end they offered me a paltry sum of compensation which included £20 goodwill - and this after spending probably 20-30 hours on the phone to customer services over the year. Switching provider despite cost of cancelling contract.

    TT customer support is terrible!!
    Nearly 4 weeks now with no broadband. All it needs is for openreach to sort the problem but TT would rather waste time sending new routers or passing the problem to their network engineers than pass to openreach. Can only assume it costs them money they don't want to spend. Long term custom means nothing to them. I cant emphasise enough how useless talktalk are. As many people have said, do not go anywhere near them, for one am not staying with them.....I'll be off soonest to one of the others. Everything they do is designed to protect them. Support cannot email customers just in case they commit to something they wouldn't like to do so they want no records other then their own recordings which I have heard mysteriously disappear when it supports the customer! Likewise you cannot email them as it would mean you would have a record of their reply and all their lies etc.
    Don't touch them with a barge pole or indeed anyone else's barge pole!!

    Never had a worse experience in customer service. When attempting to change the account holder name after my flatmatecmoved out I was told the only way was to send my details (name address and sort code) by post. Despite being anxious about this Prosoect I did as I was asked...nothing happened. I sent the details again... still nothing, they had lost all of my personal information, countless emails, calls and complaints and not only has the problem not been resolved I have had to deal with painfully unhelpful staff who speak over you and couldn’t care less. Never encountered anything like it. Avoid.

    I hate Talk Talk!
    I rarely write reviews but Talk Talk have driven me crazy... GRRRR!
    I was gong to leave for a better broadband speed elsewhere but got talked into staying by being offered a fibre optics, inc. TV package to fix everything and at a similar price to what I was paying. All sounds good.
    But, struggled to get the TV to connect to the Broadband, a lot of messing about. The TV was in the next room which I think was causing the problem, the Powerline Adaptors seemed to struggle.
    moved TV into same room and got a connection, moved it back and lost it and so on. I thought an extra adaptor might be the solution and this is where all Hell broke lose as I decided to phone Talk Talk. I do not recommend this.

    Not to bore you too much the first call lasted around 3 hours whilst checking my system on the call, no affect! I was offered a call back by CS, it didn't happen, I called again and said not happy to go through same checks, I went through same checks, no success, put through to a manager... Can I have an Extra Powerline? To be fair she was very polite on the 2.5 hour call. No Powerline though and told that reconfiguration would kick in over time but I would get a courtesy call at some point to see how things were.
    I did get a courtesy call but missed it on my mobile, I called back, on my mobile, and said that the TV was working but cut out every now and again due to the wireless only just reaching. Would an extra Powerline help? .... We need to do some tests first when you get home she says, waited to be put through to a manager as strangely I did not want to repeat this for the third time. She then asked why I did not phone back prior to the courtesy call. I told her that I didn't really enjoy phoning them and was making do with what I had.
    By this point and and hour into my third call I was becoming rather frustrated and said that if she was a manager she could fix it there and then and if she did not I would write a bad review (never threatened this nor done before) and spread the bad news and be angry for ever with them (guess what?), this resulted in offering the service visit of an engineer, hoorah! But.......there could be a cost, so the suggestion was that I called back when I got home to go through some computer tests.I told her no way and that I was now very angry and I was going to hang up and that the equivalent of a full working day had been lost on these calls by the and me. I hung up.
    Would an extra Powerline worked or an engineer solved the issue? I do not know but I run a business and get upset about any complaint let alone three about the same issue. I think a physical visit to site might have been nice in this instance.
    Anyway in typical English style I calmed down and accepted the occasional drops in connection and the still relatively low (but apparently acceptable - 25 or so) Broadband speed, that last call was about 2 weeks ago now. All was okayish.
    I looked at my mobile phone bill today..... £30 odd pounds for the pleasure of calling the terribly frustrating and anger inducing Talk Talk. If only they could Walk Walk!


    They are cheap to be fair but I would like to think that this review stops people from joining them, or at least questions their decision or even that they try to improve their CS. If something doesn't work God help you!

    And here are a few more exclamation marks for extra impact!!!!!

    Writing this has been amazingly cathartic, all is well again :-) actually to the point I'm going to copy it to other review sites.

    WORST company ever to deal with. Internet service was OK until router stopped working - had to fight hard for a replacement. Now trying to leave is a disaster. We have emigrated overseas and still trying to close our account. They have assured us multiple times that they would waiver our last bill and now they are chasing us for it. They make promises on the phone but refuse to put them in writing - then they do the opposite to what they promised. Customer service is dreadful, complaints process is dreadful, company is diabolical.

    The worst network in the whole wide world! They have no respect for their customers. They have bad communication skills and can never sort out a problem. They charged me for a service which they never provided. They took money from my account for a service that went live for only 24 hours. They then cancelled my order and asked me to reapply for it! Total and utter incompetence at it's best!

    Absolutely appalling internet connection, even worse customer service. As a customer of over 10 years, since before they were called TalkTalk (Tiscali back then), I finally got fed up of the terrible connection (slow speeds and 20-40 connection timeouts per day) and tried to cancel my contract.

    Despite the fact that I have phoned them every month for the last 4 months complaining/getting engineers sent out, they argued that they could not waive my early cancellation fees on account of the fact that I did not ring them every time my internet went down, so how could they verify my complaints? Dozens of screenshots of the speedtest that they recommend ought to do it, right? Nope. After 3 and a half hours on the phone with numerous departments, they tell you that in order to make progress with your issue, they need to hang up and call you back at a set time. THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU BACK. Absolutely ridiculous.

    Rude, unhelpful, and incompetent customer service reps, combined with terrible connections. I know they seems like a good option because they're generally cheaper than competitors, but just know that you'll get way more value for your money out of any other more expensive ISP.

    We switched to TalkTalk from Virgin due to their ever-increasing rates and poor reliability. To be fair, TalkTalk has to be the single worst service proivider we have ever had. Customer service is a joke, the router loses connectivity constantly, and we have to reset the entire system (tele, broadband) 2 - 3 times per week, every week. If you check your system online with themn, it will say @everything is working fine@ while you watch the browswer pop up "you are disconnected". Awful.

    Having had major problems firstly getting online, how can one login to TalkTalk only to have a message displayed stating that this webpage is unavailable. Secondly, when connection is finally achieved after waiting anything up to 30 mins. without rhyme or reason you're suddenly informed that you have now logged out. Not funny when a transaction is taking place especially when it's abroad. Attempting to have a conversation with someone about these problems whose first language isn't English is somewhat difficult to say the least. Herein lies a lesson that everyone should heed, having stated that I was going to contact TalkTalk again about the above problems and at the same time ask for a new router, by pure coincidence (?) my wife had a 'phone call from an individual purporting to be from TalkTalk inquiring about our router, without thinking she allowed access to the computer. Suddenly she realised what she had done and immediately switched off the computer. To say, attempting to explain what had happened to someone from the Indian subcontinent was a challenge in itself is an understatement Much has been said by other reviewers about this company, I can only agree

    Never ever get a talk talk mobile or pay as you go contract,,ordered a mobile phone which arrived broken so sent back via courier which they have received and they are still charging me and taken money from my account phone never even used,customer service absolutely disgusting,been trying to sort out this problem for 3 months via phone calls emails and online support but still not sorted,passed from one person to another,please please don't give then your money go with tesco excellent service

    Terrible customer services, false advertising and they lie!
    They refuse to send the reward voucher for joining, tell you a manager will call in 48 hours 4 days later I’m still waiting. Call again yesterday and they said the manager will call tonight, no call. Call back today and they tell me the manager will call on Monday and now they say I’m not entitled to the voucher but the agent I spoke to in March had escalated the issue.
    Bunch of moronic thieves.
    Will Leave as soon as the contract is up.

    genuinely awful company. bad from customer service to the product they claim to provide. their internet speed are nothing but a lie, they hide fees and extras without informing you and when you do chase up on these issues they just orgnore you or pass it on to a third part. not worth anything. better off with BT or Sky.

    Moved to TT from BT and the whole process was totally painless. Speeds are identical to BT (which aren't great, but proximity to the box is an issue). Router arrived as promised and was a doddle to set up. All in all - one month in - I'm very pleased.

    Oh boy here comes another negative review to Talk Talks huge collection of them. Let's begin at the ordinary internet, well in short its the slowest internet I have ever experienced and it struggles to load up google sometimes.

    About 10 years of suffering with them and throwing our money away we decide to switch providers. We had been loyal customers for 10 years and what do they say... Sorry you can't leave us till 2019!

    After that there was no way we could keep the internet we had so we switched to fiber optic. Not only is it over priced but we got told it would take 24-48 hours for it to get activated... It has been over a week and nothing has happened so far. WE ARE PAYING MORE FOR FIBER OPTIC AND GETTING THE SAME TERRIBLE INTERNET! We have complained and they have just apologized and done nothing about it.

    In conclusion don't go anywhere near them no matter what. Their fiber optic is non-existant and their internet will only give you stress. We are trapped with them and have lost all hope so please don't go anywhere near them as I don't want you to follow the same fate as me.

    I've been with talk talk for many years. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. We did have a lot of problems with the broadband reliability, but we changed our router and have had no problems since, so it must have been a problem with the router. I have spoken with customer services on quite a few occasions. I find them rather tedious to talk to, but nonetheless helpful. The customer services staff are in India, and so the communication can be a bit more difficult, and they are obviously taught to keep repeating back your request, which is a bit annoying. They are usually quite good at talking you through any problems and are quite helpful I have found. There are high number of bad reviews on this site, and it makes me wonder if it is mostly those with problems that bother to leave a review unfortunately. I don't think it gives you a good feel for what the company is really like, because like I say, I have many dealings for many years and have had pretty good service.

    speeds are a scam!! Frustrating customer service
    Terrible customer service I was emailed in July saying I wasn’t getting speeds I payed for. After two engineers vists they couldn’t resolve problem customer service tried have you switched it on and off again? Shall we send another engineer? Each call taking at least 40mins of my life to get no where. I leave yesterday to go to BT miraculously they fixed the issue (very suspicious are they limiting customers speeds even though they pay extra for fibre?) after I confirmed I was leaving the speed dropped off again so it’s quite clear where the issue lay and the 2 engineers vists where a waste of time I was a loyal customer for 5 years I would never use these scam artists again as it’s clear they limit the speeds also I was not offered compensation despite paying for service not received

    Had the service for over a year and it was good so remained with them. No sooner had I committed to a new contract than problems started. Rubbish broadband speed and service failure on a regular basis. Disgraceful customer service as well, yet prices rise every 6 months. What I hate the most is their belief that they have a right to call you at any time with stupid offers you've specified you're not interested in. At the end of this contract, I'm never having anything to do with them again!

    Absolutely awful. Had so many problems that it got to a point where about once a week i would have to ring up to get the modem reset as turning it off and on did nothing . This lasted for about a year or more. Even got about three new modem throughout my time and it made no difference whatsoever. So bad that towards the end of out time with talk talk (and the end of my patience with them!) every day without fail it would disconnect at lest once a day and it was so irritating. Would have to go and reset our modem multiple times a day. When it did work, it was incredibly slow. So bad would definitely not recommend. Have now switched broadband and happier then ever

    Throughout the time we had their services we continuously lost our connection randomly and the connection we did get was slow and erratic despite us paying for high speeds. Their customer service is totally useless, and after everyone moved out of the house TalkTalk refused to cancel the account and carried on charging me despite the fact that I don't live there anymore. And to make things worse they're charging me £200 plus late fees just to close the account, but only after charging me a few more months. When I tried to explain to the customer services the situation, that everyone who was living there had already moved out, and tried to get them to change their minds and close the account they seemed to not care at all and said that I still can't get the account closed until they decide they're going to close it. And they're still going to charge me the disconnection fee plus late fees. And none of this was told to us when we signed up to TalkTalk, in fact we were told we wouldn't have to deal with issues like this and that we can just cancel the account when we move out and it'd all be sorted. We were a bunch of uni students sharing a house and we explained to them that we were all only living there for one more year as we were graduating and leaving the house in a year, to which TalkTalk said that it will be as simple as just letting them know when we're going to leave and they'll close the account for us, and that none of this sort of mess will happen. They mis-sold their services and lied to us. And now we have to pay for it. All for a garbage service that we could have got better from someone else.

    Talk talk is ridiculous!! I hardly ever get the broadband speed I should! The internet is constantly dropping out and youview box is just a huge joke!!! Almost all recording fail, the box hardly registers the fact your pressing a button on the remote!! And now it keeps completely freezing when it feels like it!! Bare in mind I've only had this box for a few months and it's never been dropped or anything in my care!! I've tried to ring there "customer services" but been waiting for someone to answer but then it just hung up! And the second time I tried to call it took them over an hour to even answer!! The fact that the price is low doesn't even make it worth being with talk talk!! I wouldn't even give them 1 star!!

    If I could give 0 stars I would. We have had non stop issues with the internet dropping and extremely low speeds despite being on the best deal possible and paying extortionate prices. The live chat are humans with no IT knowledge reading off a script and solving nothing. Can not contact anyone helpful or competent. And we’ve been promised everything from new routers, to package upgrades, to refunds that have never happened. Horrendous.

    Save your money. Don't use them. Daylight robbery. Punitive termination fees £61, below the average customer service, below the UK legal requirements broadband speed- only 5.6Mbps for a updated contract which guarantees 35Mbps. Incompetent. Greedy. Firm.

    We joined Talk Talk a year ago, for the last 6 months we have had broadband speed below 1mb and quite often only in to the kb. We have spent hours on the phone to them and get no where each time. They never send an engineer, they make us go through the same rigmarole each time. It is painful! The people are generally polite enough but they haven't been given the authority to actually help. You are wasting your breath.

    Absolutel Fraudsters!
    No sense of morals, ethics or integrity.
    We bought our package of landline and broadband which was supposed to go live on 20/03/2020.
    We were charged a week in advance before our broadband was to commence. It became live on 20/03/20. It was live for only one day. For no reason they cancelled our order and cut off our broadband and out landline. I tried to contact them on a number of occasions, but Each time I was through to an automated voicemail or automated email which led to nowhere. They are all hiding behind the facade of The Corona Virus epidemic and exploiting innocent people.
    I am a healthcare worker and have 3 children. One of them with special needs. They need internet for online education and entertainment as they can’t go out of the house due to the lockdown.
    THEY ARE THE WORST
    DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES

    So fed up with call centre - clearly not UK, ironic line connection is terrible. Service never actually started and totally unable to speak or contact anyone with the authorithy to sort it. Last phone call over 45 minutes long - charged to me.

    I wish I had never signed up to talk talk.do not go here,their customer service is beyond disgusting .
    They give false hop false promises and lies
    They took my money 11 days ago now and still I am not connected . They say it takes 5-10 working days to hit my account from receiving my payment by card over the phone .have put in a complaint to their complaints officer, but quite frankly he has not helped and refuses to give me any compensation for having had no service now for 11 days. Today he informed me it could be a further 5 days until I am connected and still refuses any compensation.
    Keep well clear if this dreadful company
