    I’ve been with TalkTalk for 18 months and it had been the worst internet broadband I have ever had it’s slow, intermittent all the time it disconnects a few times a day.. I have had numerous phone calls with them.. with no help they just seem to palm you off to the next person and keep going over the same steps over and over.. and there all Indian which I can barely understand and they have rubbish phone lines to talk to them which makes it near impossible to understand them.. at the end of the day DO NOT go with talk talk no matter how sweet the deal is...

    Iv got quite a few properties most are with virgin , got 1 with Vodafone and have had no problems, Biggest mistake I made was using talk talk on one particular house , all I wanted to do 5 weeks ago was upgrade package , and have had no joy to date , iv spent hours on phone and hours on web chat , I really don’t understand how companies with employees so thick and managers the same manage to stay in business , we are talking terrible customer service and massive wait times just to get through and then your passed on to every section of talk talk , , , a true joke of a company

    Just don't join TalkTalk. You can understand that sometimes companies make mistakes but the Customer Service is the worst!
    Even if you have a simple issue or a query where you need to talk to someone, you'll just end up being passed from 1 department to another.
    It seems that this is the job of the chat and call centre, keep passing you on until you get bored of asking for help.
    I just asked for a copy of a bill from 14 months ago, spent 20 minutes on Chat, who then told me to phone customer services, spent another hour getting passed through departments until I got told that the only way I could have copies of these is to write to their compliance department for my privacy data and theses bills will be sent with all the data the company has under my name...this will take 10 weeks

    Ordered broadband and tv. Router never turned up. Installation team didn't turn up 5 times. Cancelled within 30 days and went to sky yet talk talk continued to charge me even though I had no products from them. This continued over a year and stopped. Now 5 years later they are pursuing the best through a debt collection agency for a service I've never had. Stay way away from talktalk. Nothing but poor service dreadful installation and impossible to get anything resolved.

    Leaving my previous broadband/tv/phone provider to go to TALKTALK was one of biggest mistakes ever. People say you get what you pay for.... I shouldn’t be paying anything based on current experiences. In fact I should be paid to
    Put up with this awful service they provide. The internet and TV is the worst I have ever had. On a weekly basis I have to turn my WiFi and tv off and on. WiFi is horrendously slow. Tv constantly ‘sticks’ resulting in me resetting the box and I can’t really comment on the phone line because I barely use

    When I first took out the contract, the broadband was really
    Slow. When I phoned and complained 3 Months into the contract they said to increase the download speed and things should be better - it’s no better AT ALL and I ended up starting a new contract with them. It’s been the longest contract ever and I cannot wait to get rid. 90% of the tv I watch pauses and skips when I’m watching. It doesn’t record programmes properly - only recording 5 mins of a film one evening and then recording another 5 mins of it when it was repeated a few nights later.
    I’ve never EVER experienced anything like this with other providers and now realise that it’s worth paying that bit extra to get better services.
    Do not go near this company!!!!

    If I could give this company a 0 I would. After 3 months of intermitant broadband and constant calls, we told told our only option was to upgrade to super fast. We did this at extra charges and set up a new contract. We have had the same issues so decided to cancel during the 30 day period and they have tried to roll us back to our old contract to pay a leaving few. Needless to say that wasn't happening, we should have been compensated for not being able to use it. They have just put a block on our telephone number even though we have had to give 30 days notice.Terrible customer services.

    if any one is reading this DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT take any contract out with talk talk pay the extra to go with another provider it will be worth it trust me.
    I got lured in with the cheap price and it is shocking the speed is very rarely above the minimum they tell you and that is when it works and doesnt just go off on its own.
    i have been with talk talk just over a month and have had to contact them on live chat 3 times and every time they sort the slow speed for an hour or two then its back to less than their 2.2 mbps they guarentee. i have rang talk talk today on their premium rate number only to have an agent who was rude abusive and obnoxious and then when i asked to speak to a manager got put on hold for 5 mins only to be told im now transefring you then after 10 mins of waiting on hold again i gave up and hung up. then tonight the internet went off again so went back on live chat only for the internet to go off again so i lost the connection and now they are closed.
    THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD !!!!

    Absolutely disgusting customer service and broadband services. Intermittent broadband for the past couple of months with a number of calls made to talk talk to ressolve , after hour long phone calls broadband works great for the following week and then back to the usial rubbish! Phoned again today this time an hour and half call with one of theyre useless technicians who kept telling me he would transfer me to a manager but after 10minuts on hold he would re appear back on the end of the phone trying to fill me with more rubbish!!! Just AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! May seem a good deal and great broadband at first but that soon changes to where it is barely usable.

    Was due to switch to future fibre in December 2021 to date still waiting for an engineer to turn up I have had 3 emails confirming visits and 3 no shows and of course phone call enquiries go unanswered they are dreadful to deal with

    never go with provider. the internet is slow and the customer service are really bad. 10 engineers in one month cant even solved the problem.

    Stay away from this company they are a shambles. We took out broadband ohone and tv with them but didnt realise we had no tv arial as we were in rented property, therefore were unable to usethe box. Talk talk rang us no end of times to say we had not connected our box, we explained why and theny hung up. In the end i lost my temper on thephone and told them to stop calling.
    We moved back home on 5th may and our broadband and phone were connected. We had brought the box with us to see if it would work after being told that it wouldnt work in our home address as the internet connection was too slow....... It works so they lied!!!
    I called talk talk to tell them thebox was working to which he told me they had down graded my package without consent and that if we didnt return the box that there would be a £75 charge added to our bill.....i went mental and the guy on the phone. Long story short we decided to keep the box and pay the fee.... Why is it when we COULDNT use the box they didnt ask for it back and when we could use it they asked for it back??? And the best of it is that they down graded us but were still charging us the price we were originally paying.
    NEVER EVER again will i go near this company. As soon as i can get out of the contract im going back to BT

    Worst fiber broadband ever,no technical support just conversation and challenge your technical skills, total rubbish company, I just opened new 18 months contract and the first two months always got "network" problem, seems to me nothing to do the telephone line yes, but I still not got the services, next 24-48 hours total nonsense, wait for half a month get a bit message, so regretful open new contract with them, fiber is even worse than my previous broadband

    keep away from this company recently moved home been without broadband for a month despite giving ten days notice before moving fed up of talking to people who can hardly understand me and waiting for return calls i never get,keep away from them at all costs and save your sanity,not worth giving one star rating

    First, it took a month to get internet working despite being paying. At the end of the contract, they charged us one month extra after we managed to cancel the contract and argued that the system bills "in advance" automatically. There is no way to contact the customer service to cancel your contract and when you finally do (through another provider) they keep invoicing you well after the service has been interrupted. Avoid them!

    Changed to BT 3 routers later. Call centre can't speak or understand English. All they do is tell you to restart your router then order you a new one. Anlbsolute waste of time and money spent on calls... furious

    router keeps on freezing switch on and off customer service is terrible waste of time told the router is the problem ignores you will be leaving soon don't bother with this company

    dread full service. Tried charging for engineer even after he said to us it a was probably a fault on the external wires. A shame I can't give minus stars. Stay well clear!

    Don't touch this company worst provider ever, changed from bt to save money in Nov and currently prepared to take £200 plus hit to cancel and go elsewhere.
    In 3 months maximum speed we had is 2mbs although quoted 13mbs as minimum on faster fibre since calling multiple times over the last 6 weeks and 'upgrading' the firmware on the router and restarting it numerous times and constantly told wait '48 he's' we now on 1.2mbs so even slower.
    Customer service is awful and constantly repeating the same thing each call with is tedious as they are obviously based in India and very minimal English so spelling postcode alone took 5 minutes.
    Spent 2 hours 2 days ago where I made an official complaint and threat of reporting to Ofcom and I want to cancel without charge, following numerous restarts of the router and checks was still only 1.2mbs was then told call in 48hrs and if speed the same and an engineer will be booked out if that doesn't work then I can cancel without charge.
    48 hrs later made the call same again rest router call back in 48hrs. Currently waiting on a manager to call me as I made another complaint fed up of being fobbed off but will be following up with Ofcom and change provider asap.

    Having had the line installed for more than 1 week, it never worked, either the phone, broadband or TV, yet they are still charging us for it and repeatedly lying about the reasons for not coming to fix it. TalkTalk has the most appalling customer service, they can lie up to 5 times in the same day. E.g. we were sent a piece of equipment that was supposed to arrive on Saturday (according to phone calls on Friday and Saturday, 3 of them), then it was Monday, then it was 3-5 days, then the Royal Mail had forgotten to provide them with the track order, so I could not check whether it had been really sent. It is 8 days since the line was installed and we still don't have an explanation why it does not work. Keep away from TalkTalk.

    Connected in Dec 18 and I am so disappointed.no where near speeds promised but a good enough signal however have failed to provide the £75 voucher promised via USwitch within 90 days. Hours on the phone,many promises and it now about 130 days and another promise it will be sent out in 14 days.Have now contacted ombudsman and seeing if can leave for breach of contract.

    Worst customer service I have dealt with an absolute joke company , I have many houses with internet provided , and even virgin are better than this joke provider , if you have to use openreach and overhead cables go for Vodafone , so much better , I’d put 0 on all counts if possible ,,AVOID

    Absolute rubbish. The call centre in India is manned by people who jyust read off scropts and have no interest in solving your problem. My wireless router is seldom functioning fully. I may get wireless connectivity but no internet access. Since I use this broadband for business purposes this is unacceptable. I've lodged several complaints and received an email saying a Talk Talk manager would contact me in 3 days, that was 2 weeks ago and I've still not heard from anyone. They suggested sending a Talk Talk engineer out at a cost of £65, I refused because of the cost. I've been with AOL for more than 20 years, Compuserve before then, and am loath to leave because my email address is well known in business circles worldwide (where I work!!). I will have to leave because I cannot stand the stress of trying to contact someone in AOL/Talk Talk who will at least try and resolve my problem (or at least supply me with a new router, which I beleieve to be the issue). Never, never, get involved with uselesss company even if it is cheap. I've lost so much business because of them its unbelievaable.

    Absolutely shocking customer service. Have to call several times to talk to someone (and go through the whole process of typing in account number followed by # blah blah blah) as several times a call operator will hang up on me after saying hello.

    Tried to cancel previously and was convinced to instead change the account into my flat mates name. Waited for the forms to do so which never arrived so rang again to cancel and was told I had to wait 30 days to cancel from the second time I phoned (and not the first as I had requested) plus I was told I would be charged £30 rather than the £17 I had signed up to pay, as I was out of contract (which is the whole reason I was trying to cancel in the first place).

    Also the broadband speed is painfully slow.

    Will not be using talk talk again and advise others to stay clear.

    i have been with aol for over 20 years never had a problem I was advised that talk talk have taken over aol since this happend a few weeks ago my broad band is rubbish losing signal ipad freezing shocking I can't wait to switch providers to a decent company would never recommend talk talk absolute rubbish grrrrr

    This network is a nightmare. From day one until last day. Started with 17Mbs. It was a disaster. Speed wasn't higher than 2Mbs. I had one month when the network worked for 2 days in 1 month. Called them several times explaining that they promised something else when we made the contract. After 10 calls and complaints I was called by first English lady. She offered fibre broadband. I said yes as I needed Internet. The network worked well for about 1 week. I called them again, they made me change some settings in the router and it worked - for another month. Called them several times and they made me take the lid off the socket wall and connect the router straight to wall to run some tests. They never called me back to say what happened with those tests. I called them back and they said I should assemble the lid back. Another month, another issue. They increased prices. That was the time to get rid of them. I called and said I don't agree with the price increase and I want to finish the contract. After moving me from one department to another without my consent I managed to make the contract end. In a few days I spoke to the second English lady. She promised a new router, better connection, better price etc. I continued the contract - big mistake, huge. I have never received the new router, when I called them to ask about it they said I already have their best router so there is nothing they can send. I managed to arrive to end of contract. I am so happy to finish it that I could get myself drunk. Unfortunately I am on antibiotics... Some examples of issues: network was dropping 3-4 times daily, the customer service don't understand any issue and they are useless, broadband that should be 17 Mbps is actually 2Mbps, fibre broadband that should be 36 Mbps is actually 3-4 Mbps, fixed contact price as they offer now is a thing that doesn't allow you to use your rights to finish a contract if they increase costs.

    Awful. Had them in our flat when we first moved in together and it was okay, moved into a house around a year later and has been non stop issues. Speed is poor, keeps cutting out and service is poor. Currently trying to cancel with them and have been on the phone for 45 mins and spoke to 5 different people.

    I am very unhappy customer,which tried get full pack from Talk-talk.After2 weeks,I get text my broadband it`s ready to use,but I didn`t had connections in my house,when I called them,answer was everythink it`s fine is working,withnout phone line :-),they send it to me signal,after 1 mounth I get bill for 46£ for they service,which I never had and Week ago I get email for next bill and I am not they customer any more.RUBBISH

    After very stupidly passing over to TalkTalk from Sky I have never had such a bad service and customer experience in my life . With sky i was getting an average of 11.5 mbps and never lower than 9 mbps but with these CLOWNS it started out with 4.2 mbps and the highest that they have got to was 7,49 mbps . Now for the area that I live in that is not acceptable even with o2 it was never under 9 mbps . So I tried calling their customer service to get something sorted out 2 days after my service went live but after speaking to a very hard to understand (not UK based call center) agent i was told that I would be passed over to the management team . After 45 minutes I realised that they left me hanging on the line until after 8 pm which is the closing time , very clever . I called up Sky the next morning and they were very helpful to tell me about the procedure to go about to get it cancelled and I thank you very much for that Sky team ...
    PLEASE BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THE COOLING OFF PERIOD FROM TALKTALK IS FROM THE DAY YOU TAKE OUT THE CONTRACT SO, READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. 14 Days is the cooling off period . People don't be fooled into a bad service go to SKY they are the business and they know what they are doing .

    Awful from the start. Messed up my installation and actually cancelled it instead of changing the date leaving me without internet for months.
    Connection speed of only 3mb yesterday!!
    Ive paid got a kids boost tv package and havent recieved any working kids channels for 2 years. Also paying more than any of their advertised plans and getting hardly anything for it!
    Dont get TalkTalk! Worst choice i made for internet providers

    Absolutely disgusted with talktalk when i first signed up to them i was told that there was no contract and that i could leave when i wanted to free of charge and now they are saying i have to pay £200 to leave them. The broadband is shockingly bad and the reception for the tv is terrible. customer service is disgusting they should shut talktalk down all together as they are just conning people out of money!!!!!!

    DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS!!!!
    They will NOT terminate your contract once it is up and you have given your months notice. They will then put negative markers on your credit score over and over again for £18.99 that they should never have tried collecting. They will then LIE and say you did not terminate, and once you prove you did, they ignore you. DO NOT USE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!

    Left talk talk when my contract was up in December 2020, to only find that they have been issuing me with default after default on my credit score - with no communication from themselves! needles to say, i am taking this further and will be seeking damages. I recommend you avoid at all costs, considering they ignore your cancellation notice and freely default your credit score.

    Tried to leave them and go with another supplier, BT. They were unable to take over the line so I had to cancel my TalkTalk line and have a new line installed. Talk Talk refused to correct the matter within 30 days so I had to pay more get a new line installed. They effectively blocked me changing providers.

    Talk Talk in 2 words: total crap.

    Router never worked from day 1, help team failed to solve issues. returned router during cooling period. Never use this company again.

    Worst company I have ever used in my life over 13 hours of my life talking to people who cannot understand a word of English. Disgraceful company
