    No UK office to try and explain the issues we have. Still waiting for a line installation after 3 months. Keep sending out the wrong workmen. 6 days off work. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!

    There is noting positive about TalkTalk, the prices are rubbish as they increase the bill after a few months. The wifi is so slow and often stops working. They phone sound quality is rubbish. The customer service is extremely poor and you may have to wait on hold to speak to an adviser for over an hour. My router stopped working and this affected several other customers. I called and reported the issue and they infromed me a new route would be sent to me. Over a week later i still had not received the router and had no access to WiFi. The whole TalkTalk network is poor and a waste of money. You will end you paying for a service that you won't recieve. Do not use TalkTalk and save yourself from unnecessary stress and dont waste your money. Go you virgin or sky.

    Worst company ever. I cannot believe they have made it so big, these people are rude, lie, do not care for customer satisfaction and have even stolen money from my partner and given him only a quarter of the money owed to him (the full amount being somewhere over £200)

    I am constantly having to fix my sisters router, as well as resetting it 4 times in a row before it works, not to mention that I have done that this morning and the internet STILL does not work. My computer wont even load speed test or google.

    I have serious problems with talk talk and I refuse to be a customer of theirs again! Please, if you are considering talk talk, walk away from it now! They may steal money off you too! I think they are a rubbish company with no morals or care for what service they actually provide and they don't care about how your money is being spent. These morons need to be shut down for all the stress they cause. No one needs this much stress from a ******* broadband company. Talk talk. Suck it.

    Dropped out often.
    Appalling service on trying to leave. Continued to try to take money. Then when I cancelled DD they sent me a nasty email with threats to report to a credit agency and a late charge. Took 2 calls to get this reversed .

    Avoid at any cost! This is the worst provider ever! I was using TenTel before. But somehow, TalkTalk acquired Tentel and this is where my troubles started. Speed dropped down, most times the internet is not there. During Xmas and New Year my family was simply left without internet connection. Every time I call, they apologise, but they cannot help you. Just keep switching between departments.. useless... I am trying to get this contract terminated without any charges, but do not seem to get anywhere

    Not being funny but I've had nothing but problems from TalkTalk, after setting up a payment plan and 3 hours of phonecalls I finally decided to sort it, however now my internet is cutting off every 5minutes and it's beyond a joke, they're telling me it's an issue with the line, they sent engineers out now they're telling me its my router, but are charging me for a new one, I just want internet that I pay for!!

    Customer service is just horrendous. Spent nearly an hour on the phone as they just can't understand what I was saying. Had to repeat the problem several times and speak to several people. Still don't know if they actually understood what I meant, as whenever they repeated back they had just completely misunderstood. The broadband is actually fine, no co plants there, this was a account/billing query and the inability to speak to someone in the UK is a real problem as the language barrier is just too much.

    Changing providers and moving to talk talk was the Worst mistake I ever made! When the broadband worked (occasionally) I got speeds bellow the ones promised, the internet constantly buffers and can’t even make it through a 20min period without cutting out, I was also promised a 12 month free prime subscription which never arrived and when I rang about it they just sent me an article advertising the offer and still didn’t receive the offer, during the 7 months I have been with them I’ve been completely without internet three times. They are slow to answer the phones and when they do they Are clearly reading from a script and have no idea what they are talking about, I’ve left them early and am currently looking into not paying the cancellation fees as they didn’t provide the promised service or the deal it was meant to come with, do not use talk talk it is terrible

    Not sure how these people have got excellent customer service
    They don't listen, they go off on a tangent
    Each week I'd call, agree a package and price the rep says they'll call me back. They never do. So I call again the next week and the price has gone up. This happened 3 weeks in a row.
    I would suggest reps that understand English!!!! (Yes they speak English fine. They don't understand or don't listen) not racist as I'm a minority but I am prejudice against stupid people

    Connection drops everyday but their customer service or technical dept do nothing and go over a fixed script and they do this everytime you call. The talk talk call centres in india is the most fraudulent as they sell customer details to thiefs for business. The thiefs will take personal info, name address and telephone and ring them to scam money out of the customers. Talk talk doesnt care as long as they get cheap workers so they dont have to pay full wage to workers such as in the UK. Talk talk know its happening but dont give a toss. So dont do business with them.

    Haven't had a single day where I haven't seen a "DNS error" when browsing webpages. All webpages will go down for around 5-10 minutes when I get this DNS issue.
    Never had one problem with BT broadband. But get one every single day with talk talk. Which is always this DNS error.

    First time writing a review, but I am absolutely disgusted at the service talk talk has provided! There is a fault with my internet and after 4 weeks of no internet 2 engineer visits (3 days booked off work) and countless phone calls to talk talk it is still not resolved and the 3rd engineer did not turn up! When I contacted them again to inform them of this they basically called me a lier and said the appt was never made! So another day off work wasted! Would not recommend anybody to use this service.

    Talk talk are the worst company I've ever tried to use. 3 days of calls and still I can't even get a reason as to why there is a problem with my order for a new line. None of the staff are trained nor can they speak/understand the English language at all. Forgive me for saying but if you work for a call centre with customers based in the UK basic communication skills are a must! I have been told 5 different things by untrained staff one of which told me everything was fine and I would be connected on the 15th of June. I had to tell him there was a problem with the order to which his reply was to put me on hold for another 10 mins just to let mr know what I'd already been told earlier that day! what an absolute joke the company is they should be ashamed at the poor level of customer service that portrays who they are. it's disgraceful. you now could not pay me to take up Internet with them as all I can see the future holds is frustration and a huge headache god forbid anything were ever to go wrong with my service I'd be stuck with no internet forever by the looks of things! Sorry about the rant but I have wasted hours of my life calling this awful company I felt I needed to share my experience. I never write reviews but I need to share this with others so they don't waste their life like I just have!!!

    Horrible company, and the cyber attacks only make it worse.

    We've been calling mostly because the broadband keeps disconnecting (even though there's the connection) and they 'attempt' to fix it, but nothing. So they say that if the service isn't fixed within 28 days, they'll let us cancel the contract for free.

    This statement I highly doubt, because it's TalkTalk. They'd rather have the £400+ in cancellation fees. My mum had complained about it and had asked for an English manager. The foreigner on the other end filed the complaint as 'needed to talk to an English person instead' instead of our intermittent internet connection. I mean, we can go for up to 12 hours without internet, and even without TV itself.

    I'll be going back to Virgin. With TalkTalk, you get what you pay for - cheap crap, foreign call centres.

    would just like people to know that this company are thieves.

    I was without Broadband service for 2 weeks. More or less everyday for 2 weeks I logged the call and went thought the laborious Indian call centre script to try and rectify the problem. TalkTalk investigated it and acknowledged that there was a problem on the line of which I still have a handful of texts claiming this, and that it would be fixed. However, it was not fixed and an engineer from Openreach had to be called. He informed that he'd found the problem and that the box in the street had been upgraded by BT and that some of the connections had been misaligned.

    This was viable as BT had just put Fibre in the area and also other people were having the same Broadband problems.

    This again did not fix my problem. Another engineer eventually had to be called and fixed the problem in the street before entering my premises and installing a new connection on the wall stating that it was a better connection and NOT that it was needed.

    I was charged £65 for this visit when the problem was in the street, obviously so Openreach could bill Talktalk and then the charge put onto to me. I phoned numerous times to try and sort the issue out and was promised that it would be sorted and that someone would call me back, surprise, surprise nobody ever did. I was also informed from one of the Support script readers that I would be compensated for loss of Service, shock horror I received nowt.

    I have now changed to another ISP because of this and at a much cheaper price for the same service. What Talktalk have actually gained by stealing £65 from me I don’t know. All they have gained is the 65 quid and a loss of a 10 year customer. There is no customer service. We have given these people so much money over the years that it doesn't matter to them anymore. They couldn't care less.

    So, if anyone is reading and thinking about joining Talktalk, renewing their contract etc. I would strongly not recommend this Company.

    Been with TalkTalk for two years. All good, until contract period finished. Was DUMPED immediately onto a high rate plan without notice. This is how they treat loyal customers. Trying to get away from them, but they have lots of energy to pursue forward charges. Nightmare, use someone else.

    Absolutely disgusting the way they treat people, contacted as I had to move house and they did not manage in 3 weeks to activate the internet, several calls but I only got back “we are investigating the problem”, in the end I decided to cancel, after a month (in the meantime found another provider) I reveived a bill from them like nothing happened and I have to pay the monthly bill, called again to remind them the situation and said that my cancellation been rejected?! And I have to contact them back in 3 days and they will cancel it which this makes no sense.
    Effectively a waste of time and money, no one deserves such mockery. we are people and we work and pay to benefit from some services, not to pay nonsense and make endless calls.

    Dreadful on every front. Avoid if you have any expectation of being able to connect to any website (benign) without filtering. The homesafe/kidsafe filtering was set to off yet technical support couldn't fix it so I was left with a terrible service. Customer service experience was the most stress-inducing experience. I would rather pay more and go elsewhere

    Very poor broadband. Incredibly awful customer service. They lie on their FAQ regarding switching provider, lie on the phone about same. Unhelpful. Difficult to cancel. Not great broadband, often going down at random ties.

    Was with talktalk for 18 months until my contract run out, the WiFi was awful wouldn’t load videos films on Netflix or nowtv would buffer and wouldn’t be a clear picture, as soon as my contract run out they charged me £40 (was £19) when i rang in to complain their systems down and was told they would call back, they never did and I had an extra £30 bill on top of the other £30 in unpaid direct debit bills because they didn’t call back!

    Worst company on the planet. ADSL service is the slowest I've encountered and the customer service is appauling.

    Worst of all they will continue to bill you after you have cancelled!!

    Complete waste of money/time. Insulting, incompetent staff with no interest in helping. Over dramatised politeness/apologies rather than sorting out an issue.

    So being 8.31 upload and the threshold being 8.2 - 'Enjoy the rest of your contract Unhappy Customer... We're done!'

    Trading standards anyone?

    The line was capable of 17Mb/s up, for a year straight.

    My fibre broadband was down for 21 days prior to Christmas and New Year. After speaking to various department, no one appears to know how to rectify except transferring from one department to another. I am now stuck in an 18 month contract but will change provider when my contract runs out. If you read this, recommendation is to avoid TalkTalk at all cost. In addition, there is also false advertisement from TalkTalk.

    Overall:
    1 - Signing up with Talk Talk was no problem.
    2 - Going live - problem;
    3 - Fixing fault - problem;
    4 - Service to address issue - appalling;
    5 - Addressing complaint - appalling and fail to listen.

    TalkTalk show they adhere to complaint code of practice but it is an empty execution of the practice. Looks nice on paper, but fails to action. Ofcom should fine talktalk as they fail to comply and conduct code complaint process in appropriate manner

    Do not do business with them.
    Very slow speeds. Poor connectivity and service breakdown.
    Extremely rude customer service
    They DO NOT let you cancel contracts unless you find a "secret" phone number
    They will give you high cancellation charges and hidden charges

    Awful service. First time user, box got sent with no leads or connectors. Nearly 3 weeks without a service and got offered £5 compensation. The lady on the phone was extremely rude, talking down to me! I’m pregnant and do not need the added stress of this terrible company and staff!

    The talktalk service I have received over the past 4 months has been nothing short of a disaster. The customer service team will pass you from one incompetent staff to another, adopting the pass the buck method in an effort to ware down the less ardent of customers. The floor manager (who shall remain nameless for now) was literally laughing at me down the phone when I was asking her to deal with my complaint professionally. I'm trying to get my money back which they happily took from my account without informing me, £100 to be exact. The bill is for two engineers who came out to fix the problems with the talktalk broadband connection. They have credited me £50 as they have admitted that one of the fees for the engineer was bad practice. The second engineer I'm still contesting. They believe that I am liable to pay £50 as they feel (and I stress feel) that I breached the agreement that they read out off of a script.

    The script says that if the engineer comes out and doesn't find a problem or that if he/she identifies a problem with equipment or wires then they will charge £50 for the call out. I have explained to several managers that the engineer identified a problem and that it wasn't with the equipment or the wires. The engineer identified the problem as an unstable connection and advised to monitor the problem over 3 days and if the problem still occurred to phone back for another engineer. After explaining this to the customer service team several times they ignored the new information and decided to laugh and put me on hold several times, I was even transferred to another manager who gave me the same treatment. I will continue to voice my opinion and relay facts on public forums until talktalk stop acting like a mobster organisation and start trading under professional conditions.

    BE AWARE NEVER GET WITH TALK TALK I have been with these scammers for full 18months,when left they claimed I have to pay them termination fee because when I called for better router they sneakily put you in another contract and will ask you for termination fee. THE SPEED IS so slow and customer service is terrible, leave aside never comply with your wishes. STAY AWAY AS A PLAGUE!

    Worst ever service. Broadband always going off. Now on my 3rd router on three years. They replace the router so they can say they have rectified the problem, (they haven't.) They say they will ring you back and they have NEVER rung back when they said they would. E-mails s delayed in cyber space for up to 36 hours and they always say it is the senders' fault. Well their own e-mails are delayed for up to 24 hours and they have been unable to say why.

    Support team is useless.
    I've had a formal complaint about anonymous caller reject for over 6 months but they have not fixed it. Each time they run through the same script. They expect me to hang on the phone for long periods while they do something else.
    One time they called and interupted a call to a friend that I was already on. No warning. They just broke in and disconnected my friend.
    It seems they can only work to the script and cannot deviate, even when it is obviously wrong. E.g. calling unable to access the account or mail box, "can you access other web sites? Yes. We will test the line! (It is obviously working!)
    Their web pages do not work correctly in any of the common browsers. Their answer is that I should call Microsoft or Google to get it fixed!
    It just goes on and on with no effective solutions.

    Do not EVER buy TalkTalk. No matter what I do, I have 2 seconds ping, and even worse, at least 5 times a day it stops working. I've tried a slave router, changing DNSes, messing about with the settings, using Ethernet, wireless adapters, and IT NEVER EFFING WORKS. DO NOT BUY THIS SERVICE.

    By pass this company they installed wifi but never reconnected my phone so cost me £3000
    So I will take talk talk to court to recover monies and change providers.
