    Absolutely appalling customer service and connection for both broadband and TV. Not only was the signal the poorest quality #I have ever seen, but we were made to jump through hoops at every turn to even get close to what we wanted, and were supplied with the wrong products after enquiries. They even jacked up the price of our contract (which we are battling with as I type), without our consent or knowledge! The call centre staff have no communication between departments and as a result it takes days to sort out the most trivial of issues. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO TALKTALK! Don't be tempted by their 'offers', they are an abysmal company and don't deserve anyone's business.

    0 Star, Broadband cuts out every 10 mins and the customer service is just as bad they keep you on the line for hours and then tell you they can no find any fault with the line, asked them to send a engineer out they said it will be a £50 charge.

    was with talktalk for 14 years, then they had their system hacked, I was forever getting scam calls which talktalk would not (@ that time) help me with so I left thinking that would end the scam calls. How wrong I was, I am still getting these calls 2 - 3 times/day all these years later. Have contacted talktalk & they do not give a damn, said they would put mt through to a dept that would handle my problem. This dept is called "Hang-up".
    they have lost a customer for life now, I would go back to dial-up before I would consider them ever again

    Pay for 17mbps get 3-4mbps, laggy, cannot play games, stream, and sit at screen for hours trying to do anything, and only 2 of us here! With only one device on at a time! Disgusting, not fit for purpose, send you round the houses, expecting you to chase and csll everyone to solve thier poor service. Don't listen, don't redpect customers, lie and fob customers off, complete failure of contract hence ileagal practice and now in court with myself. Will say thankyou tho for refusing to give me a refund as now added 8% interest and has gone from hundreds to thousands. Woohoo....thanks for the money! Haha

    TalkTalk customer service is the worst.
    I had a problem with my account being suspending because I went over the limit for my internet data usage - so instead of just closing my internet, they decided to deactivate my whole account including messages and calls.

    I apparently had used £36 over the data limit and had to pay that in order to reactivate my account. What annoys me is that there are no caps to stop me from using 3g when I have no allowance left. What's worse is that TalkTalk send one message telling you you have a little (e.g. 117mb) left to warn you but do not send you a message to tell you that you have spent all your allowance. This can only mean that they want you to go over your limit so they can get you to pay to reactivate your account.

    When I phoned the customer services, the first man hung up on me, the second time, a woman answered with an incredibly patronising tone of voice who then passed me on to her colleague who just kept laughing at my issue. Then I asked to speak to the manager but I just kept getting directed to other representatives that showed more patronisation. The last guy is the only half-decent one because he actually listen to me.

    After countless phonecalls and issues with my connection to the broadband it still hasn't been resolved, they have sent an engineer out because my internet randomly cut out at 5am in the morning and now charging me £50 to send the engineer out, they cut my line off and after a very painful phonecall they turned my internet back on but it's been nothing but issues (my router is working fine and they're saying there's an issue with my router) so I've tried 3 different routers and they're all doing the same thing, my internet just randomly turns off every 5 minutes for atleast 2 minutes, I have more downtime then I do uptime they say they're here to help but they're just money grabbing pieces of **** like the majority of companies out there. Be very careful when signing up with talktalk because they'll milk you for what you've got.

    Talk talk is the biggest joke going . The speed was so slowe whilst i was havin 12mth discound soon at it went to 40 pound it got slightly faster. Not alot to shout home about!!!!!!!!
    Custome sur is well not there they take no responiablity for anyyhink got told my bill date on the 10th appantly thy didnt no say this and it on the 7th cut my internt strate off !! I would not recoment to anyone . OverLl i could give thm 0 outbof 10 for everythink avoid at all cost

    This company is an absolute joke!
    Out of the blue comes a letter stating "Final Demand - Account balance of £43.58" for a person deceased nearly two years ago and TalkTalk were notified at the time and no balance was owing, just a small credit.

    Now they are demand money, there has been no previous letters, but now a final demand. So I try to contact them on the number provided in the letter, I spend two hours, YES TWO HOURS been passed around to various departments, bearevement teams, managers, no one can confirm or acknowledge this letter or share information with me even though I am the Executor of the Estate and have the letter in my posession.

    This company is a joke, I am trying to pay them money and even that is near impossible, I would hate to be trying to get help from this company as its nothing short of a joke.

    Maybe I will just let them pass this to the debt collection agency as maybe those guys will actually be easier to deal with and have a customer service team who can actually provide help and take payment.

    TalkTalk you are NOTHING SHORT OF A JOKE AND DISGRACE!

    I had never had to phone their customer service on the 4 years I was with them, but I've been trying to cancel my broadband due to moving house. First time phoned 6 weeks ago. After a frustrating conversation, I thought I had cancelled. Until I realised I had been charged again and my account online was still active. I was on the phone for 1 h next time, passed on to "the right department" 5 times. Obviously, each time having to explain and repeat the security answers. Finally, they raised it to a supervisor as they could not click cancel because the key was grey. True or maybe blocked by something done on my first phone call, I don't know. I don't even know if my contract has been terminated. I can't cancel my direct debit as then I'd be at fault. Meanwhile, I'll have to waste another hour in 4 days time to confirm a cancellation I thought was processed a few weeks ago, possibly be charged for something I don't use until my contract runs out in June.

    This is the poorest service ever. There is sudden wifi cuts and they won't let you switch to another serive provider either. Take my advice DO NOT SWITCH TO TALKTALK. I highly disrecommend this. My overall satisfaction would be below 1 star

    Talk talk are the worst company I have EVER had to deal with for anything! I would never deal with them again having finally managed to extract myself from a contract with them and I would discourage anyone I knew from signing up with them ever. How do they keep going as I am sure anyone who has ever had a contract with them feels the same?! Inefficient, ridiculous rip off extra hidden charges, impossible to communicate with-the list goes on. Their service could be the best and cheapest in the world and I would still avoid them like the plague -it isn't, but even if it was!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

    The customer service is absolutely appalling. If you call make sure you have a few hours free as they can't deal with even the most basic of problems without dragging it out interminably. Do they get paid by the minute? They lied to me about booking engineer and checking for fault outside. Avoid at all cost.

    All I can say is absolutely disgusting rude abusive incompetent staff. If you enjoy spending hours on the phone getting nowhere,questioning your own sanity this provider is for you. The customer service can give even the most placid person anger problems. Oh and also, totally hopeless and they take your money for services not provided.

    Awful service, telephone line broadband (Product title;fast broadband)...constantly drops out of connection when in the middle of working/using. Extremely slow uploads/downloads rate of 1.22 Mb when other providers around were at least over 5MB. Customer service dept is overseas and repetitive when dealing with complaints. Dont call back when they promise. All calls to them take hours with agent asking same details over and over. When you complain of awful service they dont let you cancel without paying the full remaining monthly direct debits in total??? For a service that is unusable...how do they get away with this after all the government reviews and consumer complaints over internet provision in last few years? Never use Talk Talk if you expect a decent service that stays connected for more than 20 minutes at a time. I am fighting to leave them and find a usable service probably costing less than theirs!

    I cancelled my TalkTalk contract after a price increase, which I could do so with no early exit fee. Since I have cancelled I have had nothing but hassle. They have tried to charge me for everything. I have now taken a case against them with the Ombudsman Services. Please do not take out a contract they are an appalling company with appalling customer service.

    Never had particularly fast speeds with Talk Talk but several weeks ago our broadband started randomly going off every few minutes. After doing all the tests online and checking our equipment still couldn't fix the problem so we called Talk Talk.
    And thus began several painful weeks of calling pretty much every night to try and resolve the problem, Every single time we were made to do the same tests only to be told that our broadband was working fine.

    Erm, Ok then, so why is my internet off then.
    Eventually Talk Talk decided to do us the honour of sending an engineer out who agreed that, Yes, Our Broadband was indeed buggered and that it would promptly sorted out, It would require another home visit then all would be well.
    Only Talk Talk had no intention of actually sorting this out, After waiting 3 days to hear from them to arrange another engineer visit, I got fed up of waiting and contacted them myself. They tried to make me do all the tests again, No I said, We have established the problem lies with you, Now when do you intend to come and fix our broadband.
    Its been fixed, I was told, Your broadband is working now. Even though it wasn't.
    I promptly hang up the phone and immediately switched providers, Unwilling to have any further dealings with these incompetent morons. Talk Talk are more than happy to steal your money month after month but not so happy to provide you with a decent service. It's a shame they weren't more willing to try and resolve this problem, They obviously regard their customers with contempt, Lord knows why though as we are the people who keep them in business, Until we get fed up of being fobbed off that is.
    I tell everybody I know who is considering switching their isp in no uncertain terms to avoid Talk Talk if you actually want broadband that works, I realise things go wrong sometimes but Talk Talk absolutely do not want to resolve your problems should you encounter any.
    All that's left now is for me to check that they didn't have the cheek to charge me for the engineer appointment ( The engineer, In their defence, Was fantastic, Polite and discovered the problem then reported back to them) They just chose not to help us any further after that and to continue denying that a problem exists.
    I don't pay £22 a month to them out of the goodness of my heart, I pay for a service I want to receive. Sadly Talk Talk don't understand that.
    I shall also be demanding refunds for the hours of wasted phone calls to them in a vain attempt to get back online properly and also checking my bank statements as I have a suspicion they will continue to try and take money from me even when we are no longer with them.

    My elderly mum was being pestered by talk talk to upgrade to full fiber broadband. After refusing to do so, they cancelled her contact without informing her, no email confirmation, text or letter. After speaking in the phone, I asked to speak to compliants, then once through to them I was put on hold and promptly disconnected. No even a call back. This is what you get from talk talk, please be aware there customer care after you've singed up will leave you exasperated and perplexed. Call center based abroad doesn't help. Stay well clear, you'll only be disappointed.

    The customer service is awful. The online chat does not help at all. If you have a simple question, it will take at least a 30-minute call to get some unclear answer. I'm really frustrated with them.

    Been With TalkTalk for over a year now, constant problems with broadband speed. (Average speed of 6.88 Mb ) Complained many times had engineers out speed would go up to about 11Mb for a short time and them back to 6.88Mb.
    Call TalkTalk again today and again they said that the fault was at my end and that they will need to send out an engineer out. I insisted to speak to a manager, as I wasn’t prepared to put up with this any more as I felt the problem was at their end. Got put through to a English speaking person. Where I was informed that the problem was at their end and that it was because of filter they have sorry cant remember what it was called. In a nutshell and in the managers words. He said that It is up the a manager if this filter is on or not . He said that he has removed the filter and asked me to check the speed; from 6,88Mb it went to 15.89Mb
    All I can say is if you are having similar problem aske to speak to a manager.
    It is what I suspected they are in control of the speed. TalkTalk have totally ripped me off for the past year and wasted my time.

    Well they had us hooked with the offer and the price but they completely lost us with the customer service and online assistance. Trying to set up a simple payment date and failing to do so correctly as agreed on several occasions then trying to give us a late payment charge as they failed to do as agreed was utterly shambolic, we honestly wish we'd never left sse as the level of difference in their customer service is nothi g short of astronomical. When talking to a talktalk representative it still feels like you're talking to a robot, like really scripted and absolutely no other responses beside what's written in front of them and this why we are leaving and going back to sse, seen as this is after just over a month with talktalk just about says it all really.

    I DARE anyone out there to attempt to get a copy of their contract with talk talk !!
    The words " a " and "success" will never come up.
    Not sure how true this is but allegedly phone some phone recordings of your "yes" get "moved around" to other agreements. If true we may find ourselves signed up for centre stage at the Golden Nugget for all the good their customer service provides !!
    I have had several talktalk scammers, they seem to know when I ring talktalk and call within days of any call I place to them. I have made them VERY aware of this issue using colourful language as the sheer frustration sadly got the better of me.
    REMEMBER we do not own the lines or equipment required to supply internet, phoneline etc to homes, we rent these month to month with a supposed contract of T&C,s(some agreements over a year ago-who remembers these conversations?) which cost YOU £10 for a copy ??!! Good grief, Dick Turpin has a lot to answer for !!

    Paid extra for fibre . The WiFi dies not even reach upstairs in my house. Speeds are terribly slow even for fiber not as fast as promised when our chasing this broadband . Customer service is poor , uneducated Indians who can barley speak English, very rude , take ages to answer, they lie a lot too . Really need to learn how to speak English . All in all talktalk is the worse broadband provider . Absolute nonsense

    I cannot even give 1 star for customer services... the initial offer was made and not honoured - which took over 3 months of murderously detailed and repeated phone calls, some lasting 3 hours, to sort out...I refused to let them get away with it. This happened TWICE - when I moved house. Never, ever again will I be so stupid to engage with TalkTalk. You have been warned.

    I have been with talk talk for 19 years, and would not think of leaving them. Today, I had a technical problem. I spoke to a young man in South Africa his name was Siphmandla. He was so helpful, and sorted out my very complicated problem. I wish there was some way I could get through to his department. He was friendly, efficient, and certainly knew what he was doing. I have spoken to many such people within the talk talk organisation, but this one really excelled. Thank you.

    customer service terrible,not capable of sorting a fault with a very poor internet service,still a on going problem after 4 weeks,conned into new 18 months contract, will change to a different company when contract ends, NOT RECOMMENDED.

    Unless you enjoy having your bill increased without any notice, slow broadband speed and having your internet go down randomly for weeks on end, do not EVER use Talktalk. If you just want a cheap broadband provider, use PLusnet as they are much more reliable in terms of internet speed and customer service.

    I have been with Talktalk for the past three years. We were very happy together until I decided to upgrade my package. I emailed them asking them to email me details of a fibre upgrade, I specified email contact as I have Menieres disease and was ill in bed and deaf at the time. My phone began ringing at all hours of the day and night with calls from their customer service team, i wrote back and told them it was pointless them calling me as i was deaf to certain frequencies and this seemed to spur their calls even more. Nothing i did or said stopped them, eventually I had to disconnect the phone from the socket and email the head office. I still had no information on the upgrade but bored with watching my netflix services flicker in and out of signal on the paltry connection I upgraded via the website. I added fibre and the tv box to the package (which i should have got anyway!) and also some of the tv boosts. I also ordered extenders which did not turn up and were not even available to buy at the time they took the order - instead they wanted me to buy ones that cost twenty-five pounds more! I was all set to 'go live' a week before Christmas. The box arrived and all was good except they had not applied the boosts. Every time i went onto the website it was down or just scrolling through seemed to add tv boosts to my package without even a notice of contract - they'd just appear in my email after visiting the site. None of these were activated just applied to the account. After a hundred emails to them asking them to sort this out and being ignored I began calling them - they decided to update the website just around Christmas and for the three weeks I was hardly able to even access my account and nor were they. They demanded i call them back at other times of the day to resolve it, but the website and accounts was always down when i called them. I had to call them several times a day, every day for a week before it was actually sorted and in order, and was the actual package i was contracted to. If you have ever called a BB company you realise how much of your day this takes up when you are left hanging on hold listening to the exact same piece of hideous music set on a 80 second loop - up to 40 minutes a time - easily. I had even wrote to them threatening to disconnect my services as they hadn't kept their side. After sorting this all out and everything was calm i found an email in my inbox the very next morning informing me that they had agreed to terminate the contract between us and could they have the tv box back - even though i was still paying for this box and it should have come with the contract i was still on with them. I was absolutely furious as clearly none of them read the previous notes, it was Christmas Eve. I couldn't be bothered to deal with these idiots anymore and changed provider.

    The service is very stable as long as you stick to the package you have. I like the fact there is no throttling and it really is unlimited - i watched netflix all the time and have no problem, aside from the speed but that is due to the area i live in.

    The customer services department will bare face lie to you and none of them will know what the heck they are doing, least of all what you are talking about!

    Both the email and web chat option of customer service is a waste of time and takes days - they refuse to deal with account issues unless it is via the telephone - so expect that 40 minute wait to speak to someone that doesn't understand you or what their job actually is. The staff are however polite in their manner. The sales team will harass you day and night - mobile and house phone, if you show the slightest bit of interest in an upgrade.

    I have complained many times about slow b/band and their response was non existent, until i sent e-mail then they still did not have an answer, and wanted me to do all the testing blaming my equipment, but ignoring that I used to get download speeds of 4814kbps and now its 330kbps

    I used to get 7meg down almost all the time, now get app 3.5. Service frequently drops out and needs rebooting, hardly ever able to watch smart tv catchup could not listen to internet radio in early hours got 0.53meg. Customer service useless they just follow the script do a few test treat us like idiots and resolve nothing.
    All forums complain about all providers yet nothing seems to improve, it is just taken for granted. Would we drive a car that ran on two wheels every few hours NO would we fly in an airliner if two engines stopped every take off NO. It realy is time someone or group took the people to task.
    Makes my dilemma worse want fibre do I upgrade Talktalk or change AHHH

    I cant begin to describe how awful the company is.

    The service is shocking and I have had the phone put down on me.

    It would appear that my router has to be replaced for the SECOND time. I have been advised that my compensation will be for the time I did not have internet. They do not take into account that I have spent an hour and a half on the phone and without internet, I lose money.

    I am so sick of their apologies when nothing is done to improve the service.

    I would still like to know why the mail system was changed as it was fine before.

    If an internet supplier says you should get up to 8gb speed then you should get otherwise it is a con to get you to sign up.Last march i changed from the Post Office because 9 times out of 10 i wasn't getting 1gb.They are still demanding i pay them £85 because they said i broke my contract by going to another supplier. Good old rip off Britian

    I applied for a 1-year contract with Talk Talk in the beginning of May 2014, received a message that it is up and running end of May. Although it was not! THREE MONTHS AND FIVE ENGINEERS as well as MULTIPLE CALLS with USELESS call centre employees only FORWARDING the call through various department who BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH... and STILL NO INTERNET!

    I cancelled the contract and they REFUSE TO RETURN MONEY PAID FOR LINE RENTAL (although I did NOT RECEIVE A SINGLE SECOND OF BROADBAND in 4 months!!)

    If you are choosing broadband provider, go to any, but don't be fooled by Talk Talk. I thought I will economise on £3.5 per month. Turned out I paid this + BT 1week wi-fi internet (which is very expensive)!!

    Tragic! No british english speaking advisers at all! constant problems, bad line, disconnecting constantly... do not use.

    I urge you not to go with TALK TALK! the speeds are very slow (sometimes it just freezes) and customer service is awful! I'm still waiting for a call back from them to try and fix it!. Worst decision I have ever made I wish I had stayed with Virgin!
