    Fantastic broadband never had an issue from the moment I connected it!! Could stream anything with no buffering. Unfortunately I moved to Cumbria where they don’t cover so had to cancel early and pay the costs but brilliant product otherwise.

    In over 8 years I have had very few issues and none worth complaining about.

    I have had very fast speeds that stayed consistent throughout the entire time I was with them. My broadband at its peak was 100MB/s and every speed test came in between 95MB/s and 100MB/s. This is a stark contrast to other providers who advertise a maximum speed but rarely reach even close to those speeds.

    I had never had an issue with customer service and their website handled most of what I needed in terms of getting info or changes to my account. BT, for example, has an awful website, badly designed, slow and limited in its functionality.

    The router provided was also above standard for the industry as it was much more reliable than others on the market and with faster peak speeds.

    Overall I have no reason to give them less than 5 stars.

    Can not rate Virgin enough. I have waiting for 1 month for BT to set my internet up... Been messed around so much, they were rude, useless and didn't seem to care about losing me as a customer when I cancelled my contract. Virgin were so helpful, efficient and got my internet working in 48 hours - can't fault them at all!

    I have heard of bad reports, but all i can say I have been with Virgin and it's predecessor for over ten years (After BT's constant greed and strangle hold of market) and see no reason change. It is more expensive than others, but probably no more than any others after the new customer incentives. I have just been upgraded to "Vivid" at no extra and enjoying 150mbs downloading . result!

    There seem to be a lot of horror stories about Virgin Media, but I have had a Broadband package with them for 3 years or so and never had a problem. The price is going up from next month (for the first time since contract started), but by less than 10%. I don't consider that unreasonable.
    There are occasional issues if you're too far from the router (standard) but the service is consistent and reliable with multiple devices connected all around the house.

    Absolutely terrible company, Tried to cancel when my subscription doubled from £26 to £54 for no apparent reason. When I asked they said it was because I’m out of contract. They have now said I am still in contract and want details of my new address to avoid early cancellation fees. Why would I have early cancellation fees if I’m out of contract. They are a bunch of incompetent buffoons who totally ignored my request to terminate and Lee requesting more money. I will not pay a penny more and if any of you have any sense you will avoid this company like the plague

    Great service, had no real problems except for a replacement Tivo box as the hard drive failed. Speed is great and had no problem with the routers. Too many moaners,don't complain about the speed unless you are hard wired into the router, I don't care if your 1nm away from the router WiFi is shared bandwidth so your neighbours could be using it all up!

    A little expensive but there are no other providers who can match the speed to compare to. Rock steady and fast broadband. My experience of the customer service is good, especially if you speak to someone in Scotland. No complaints at all over the broadband speed or stability. We run numerous devices at once and achieve speeds over 40 Mbps wirelessly on them all and stream Netflix wirelessly wothout any issues in HD.

    if you want to be ill , develop stress, and mental issues then pls join virgin media .
    this is the worst experience ive ever had in my entire life. there is simply no customer service training , it seems like staff can simply do what they want and make up errors as they go along. missed 2 important deadlines and the compensation offered is around £1 pound something a day.
    it's usual to be hanging for an hour then get a not bothered member of staff listen and then transfer you then phone goes dead . please DO NOT join Virgin . you have been warned . i am thinking of taking my complaints further

    I have been with Virgin Media for a number of years (BT previously) and have nothing but a good reliable service. All the services I subscribe to work fine without issue and VM customers help line are prompt to answer and advise. I Just upgraded to the new Superhub 3 (self install) without a hitch. I am a bit surprised on the issues VM customers appear to be having.

    I am completely satisfied with VMs service especially now we have 5Mb upload just around the corner. Customer service has always been good. There have never been any outages and speeds are virtually always at or slightly above 50Mb.

    Can't wait for 100Mb/10Mb

    after 15 min on the telephone frustrated and angry i got passed on to amey she was so helpful and friendly. i she calmed me down and seemed to be in my best interest the way she dealt with the problem was really good.. in the end i was for 25 min on the phone/hold and still ended up thanking her.. good costumer service from her!!

    I'm going to buck the trend of moaners on here and say loved virgin media in every property I've been in. Gutted moving to an area where VM is unavailable. Speeds are thenominal and price is decent too £27 for quick broadband! Try beat that

    Great broadband provider. Broadband speed is consistently good and process for cancelling account when moving house is fairly pain-free. Am a repeat customer and would always look to use Virgin if available in the area. Support staff are friendly and helpful when you need to get in contact.

    Virgin media has always been a great provider of all the packages. My broadband and Wifi went down last night and I called for assistance and the gentleman was very helpful and told me exactly what he was going to do. He then stated it will be back on within 7 hours and true to form this was the case.

    You can’t always blame virgin media as a whole as it depends on the advisor you speak too and in this case he was very helpful.

    Thank you virgin media and I will continue use your services with great Customer satisfaction

    Everyone always only leaves negative reviews, which makes it hard to actually get an accurate representation. I’ve been with virgin media for 11 years and I have never had any issues with them. Occasionally (maybe twice a year), the WiFi may blip for a minute or two but nothing can ever be perfect all the time, especially with technology.
    Their customer service staff are always lovely and they always manage to get me a good deal each time my contract ends.

    I got great service in the St Helens Store when I signed up for a Big Kahuna package. The guy went through everything with me and matched big to this package he was very knowledgable and even when I got installed the engineer was great to. Very happy with my 152mb broadband. Great quality product. If you are looking to sign up I highly recommend going into this store or contacting them on 017447393939.

    Been with Virgin Media for six months on a fibre to the house connection. It is a 200MB connection and the speed is amazing. My wife and I have numerous computers, wired and wireless, and it is very reliable. Never had any problems so no experience with customer service.

    Virgin media provide very fast broadband... sometimes. If you don't care about your internet dropping out for 2 minutes every 40 minutes or so then you should go with virgin. Unless of course you want a technical call center that can actually listen to you instead of trying the same thing every time you call which didn't fix the problem the first time. I personally feel a half hour wait for the complaints department is excessive but that's probably due to the number of people calling about their poor service.

    most if not all of these wifi related issuese can be answered this way:

    you dont pay for wifi you pay for broadband there 2 separate things no ISP can guarantee wifi as every home is different ( shape size furniture  material ect.)  and dont get me wrong i wish it was something that was made very clear as the general public dont seem to be aware of this unless they are techie minded( which most arent ) the fast the broadband coming into your house is great and helps but if you want great wifi thats up to the home owner. you get what you pay for like most things in life, the best at the moment is called a mesh network and you can buy from amazon or other electronic shops. you need to do some research on the matter but the wifi has nothing to do with your ISP...... they only provide the broadband again totally separte from wifi. but this goes for all ISP the difference is that Virgin media can provide way faster BROADBAND speeds than any one else.

    Been with virgin media over 2 years now and I can't fault them...I've only had problems with internet twice and both times they sent an engineer out to me within 24 hours in fact this last time I rang them at 10pm last night and without hesitation engineer will b sent to you 2moro between 8 am and 12 pm...problem solved within 14 hours....never ever had that with sky I used to beg for an engineer as broadband terrible but they always refused....so big shout out to virgin...credit where it's due and thankyou for your prompt efficient service

    Refreshingly satisfying broadband service. Had virgin for 2 years now and apart from once I haven't experienced any issues, on the contrary the internet is super fast and the videos and movies upload within seconds. Looking at the reviews on here am genuinely shaking my head. Try sky or BT if u really want something to complain about

    I would like to say BIG thank you to the one of Virgin Media engineer which came to our house on Tuesday, October 11th around 2 pm, for putting an effort and try to "speak " with my mum (she doesn't speak English) , using translator on his phone. That was really nice!!! THANK YOU!!!

    I'm on 20meg service and have just tested it with three different speed tests. Lowest was this website at 14meg, other two were 18 meg and 19.5meg.

    I can't believe all these bad reviews !!. We got rid of BT in favour of Virgin Media and I should have done it years ago. The call staff were excellent and explained everything thoroughly and all went to plan. The installer was on time and very polite and helpful. He made everything very easy and straightforward. We had a total install . . TV. .broadband and phone and all was completed up and running perfectly in 2 hours. No mess no hassle. The charges were explained and in my opinion very good value for money. It is much cheaper than BT even after the promo ends. Everything working well with no hick ups. . . Broadband has not missed a beat yet and the TV is crystal clear. Thank you VM for a top class service.

    NOT satisfied with the broadband outages that keep occurring quite regularly for at least a week for no real reason and how long it takes to get it sorted EVERY TIME, but EXTREMELY satisfied with the Virgin Media engineer who spent a long time sorting out the fault, which was successful. I don't know his second name but his first name is James and he visited our property on 21/10/2016. Thank you James! He persevered and was lovely and very apologetic

    I was a virgin customer for 5 years, I couldn't believe it when they charged me £180.00 cancellation fee as the only reason I had to cancel the contract was because they were unable to supply my new flat in north London. As the new flat is only 1 mile from my old flat it didn't even cross my mind they would be unable to supply it. Absolutely awful company avoid at all costs.

    I've been a virgin customer for 8 years. The first 7 years was brilliant fastest speed and very reliable! BUT the last year, especially since February I'm only having internet for maybe 1-2hrs a day if im lucky! The engineers are at my house every single week telling me it's a network issue and going to be fixed on the same day! Obviously nothing happnens. I've had enough! I'm sending everything back to them and never use virgin again! Paying £60 a month for literally nothing. Call center is so bad, can never speak to a manager.

    Don't know why other customers complain about virgin costing so much to contact as they use a free phone service, i have no complaints get 48 - 49mb regularly on a hard wired connection & using wireless it drops due to it changing priorities on the wireless router as hard wired gets main use for ps3. I am very satisfied & problems ( 3 )i've had over the last 10 years have been dealt with promptly. No real complaints other than them insisting on installing the 50mb modem for an extra £35 when i could have done it myself.
