Still waiting for "superfast2" broadband to be activated. Official complaint has done nothing and my case worker is as bad as live chat, tells me nothing apart from Openreach is on it. 4 weeks and counting just hoping they will end the contract when I contact the Ombudsman.

very poor service, signal fluctuated from nothing to 30mbits but then back down to 7..
spoke to several People, all ow whom were friendly. however were unable to resolve the issue. had to keep going though the same steps over and over.

ended up canceling the contract as service was so poor.

Dreadful I wish I had never signed up, when installed I was left without broadband and landline for a, they gave my number to someone else and I was waiting for the call for a transplant, they then had the cheek for months to try and charge me for calls to Spain ect that I never made, the speed over the last few months has went from the promised 66 to 11 at times the highest it gets now is about 20, I just want rid of them, I wish I had known before I signed the contract, nothing but trouble from day one

After a week long wait of investigation into why my fibre 2 broadband so slow at peak times they called me today to say it’s congestion and that it’s not a technical fault.... they say that as I am getting 62 mbps to the router I can’t cancel my account even though they then throttle the broadband to below 10mbps in peak time .... this is a complete rip off and I advise anybody to stir clear of this disgusting service I will be taking my details and evidence to Ofcom

Failed utterly to meet their promised go live date. Called them on the day and they then promised a further 14 days. Don't bother with Vodafone. They don't want your business

The wifi didn't work for months, the landlady was going in and out of the shop and calling them eveydays. The customer service was terrible, putting her on hold for hours and the someone else was picking up again, and the again the same thing. She kept paying every months to receive a really bad service and for a wifi that wasn't working. Whatever Vodafone advertise about being reliable, we didn't find it to be true

I am appalled at the level of disservice provided by Vodafone over the last 14 months.

I have lost countless hours of my life on the phone, trying to resolve issues caused by Vodafone's wrongdoings.

Here's a description of my experience trying to order Vodafone home broadband:

I order broadband and on three separate occasions the Openreach engineer does not turn up at my house to fit the internet. Vodafone blamed Openreach and vice versa on each occasion for the incorrect communication that caused the mistake. Either way I lost three seperate days of annual leave as a result.

Several text messages were also sent to my phone saying that an engineer was due to get sent out. Luckily I phoned Vodafone first, before booking another day off work, who informed me that these messages were incorrect.

It took me close to four months till the internet eventually got fitted. Which was frustrating as I know that if I had went with Virgin, it could have been done within 5 working days.

While all this was happening, I made a number of complaints over the phone and had to explain my story countless times to different people. I was passed from person to person, but nothing ever really got resolved and I felt my complaint was never taken seriously.

I spoke with someone in a more senior position, who said to compensate me for my inconveniences he would give me a free dongle device, so I had internet in the interim. He told me it would cost me no money, but I had to sign up to it and he would credit my account so I would never pay.

I found out this week, that Vodafone have been charging me £32 a month for the last 14 months to use this device and that the whole time I have been using that device in my flat for internet and that the £21 broadband I ordered was never fitted when the engineer came out. He simply fitted the slower and more expensive Mifi device instead - which was not what I ordered.

I complained over the phone about this several days again and I was told that someone would phone me back after looking into my case - I received no call.

I received a text message to my phone saying that an engineer would be visiting my flat to fit the broadband, even though I didn't schedule a time with anyone (I am at work a the time that came through on the text).

In short, as a long-standing Vodafone customer, I find the way I have been treated disgraceful. I have been misled, miss sold to and been caused a lot of unnecessary stress.

I have lost all faith in this company. This letter is purely for documentation purposes.

Service constantly dropping out - supposed to be super fast fibre but sometimes won't get anywhere near 20mbps. Latency is terrible too.
Router wifi signal is abysmal. Vodafone says the Openreach synch speed is fine, which it probably is, but the real issue is with Vodafone's lack of network capacity. DO NOT BUY THIS SERVICE!

    Woeful, please avoid.
I have had Pro Gigafast 900 broadband for just over 3 months now.
After 8 weeks my line was just shut off one morning for no apparent reason. It seems there was a cancellation order put through, though neither vodafone nor city fibre would take responsibility for this error.
I spent more time than you can imagine (6hours on one day) on the phone to, and stuck on hold with vodafone. It took 11 days of no internet, a whole new account and checking process to finally get up and running again. I was compensated and I thought that would be the end of it.
    Alas, no.
This morning I got up to my broadband not working again, after a queue for 30 minutes I had a wholly unsatisfactory conversation with a "tech" person who informed me that City fibre were doing some work and that an outage would last usually for 24-48 hours. There is no warning that this is going to happen so I was just generally inconvenienced.
I have now plugged in the back up dongal supplied and my 910MBS is now running at a download speed of 15.1MBS and an upload speed of 8.93MBS. Whilst this is completely unacceptable, the funniest bit of all is that I am using up the back up data, so in the long run this will cost me when it runs out. The fact is, I should have my quota still as this is yet another situation that the Vodafone and City Fibre partnership has created.
I then asked the "tech guy" to put me through to complaints and was told on 4 occasions that I wasn't allowed whilst the outage is ongoing. This will mean that I will have to call vodafone yet again and waste my time becoming irate in a queue again to complain about an outstanding poor service again!
Please avoid, this is not a one off thing, the whole experience is woeful.

After spending 13 years with faultless service from BT I made the horrendous decision to join Vodafone. Since it’s install in October we average speeds of circa 3mbs, it drops out constantly and the hub has approx half the WiFi range as a 7 year old BT hub. The sales team told me lies, the customer care team have one goal which is to text you every couple of days to say there’s nothing wrong with the service, letter or emails are ever responded too, just started court proceedings for damages for a service that costs circa £15 a month. Keep well clear of Vodafone, disgusting service

Vodafone have delivered the worst customer service I have experienced from any supplier ever. As a small business owner with 11 phone lines on the account, they make it very difficult to get any help at all when you need it (even to take out more lines). They don't want to speak to you and do everything possible - via their awful automated lines - to punt you off to a web chat, FAQ, or anything which means they won't have to actually speak to you and provide a service. Webchats are ridiculously long winded and the waiting times for calls are terrible. Expect to waste an hour of your time if getting in contact.

Add in the despicable sneaky charges which get bolted on to your account even when you expressly ask them not to be (for Securenet).

They cut off one of lines in February in error and when they were asked to reconnect it, they started the contract again (and started charging us for securenet again). The line should now be out of contract, but they are now claiming it is not out of contract because it was connected in February! I've raised 2 complaints about this and weeks later have had zero updates. I'm currently on the phone to them while writing this (1hr and 2 mins so far) and it's quite obvious they have no idea about the complaint!

It appears that when you enter into a contract with Vodafone, you are obliged to uphold your side of the bargain; i.e. paying bills on time, but they aren't obliged to uphold any minimum level of customer service. You, as the customer are just required to suffer whatever standards they wish to offer (or not). When the service becomes so unbearable that you need to change providers, they'll gladly charge you excessive cancellation fees for the pleasure of having suffered them. They clearly have no regard for their reputation and the lost revenues they must suffer through the terrible customer reviews. I'll certainly do my best to make sure as many people on as many sites as possible are aware of what they will be facing if they are thinking of using Vodafone.

    539. That's the number of minutes spent on the phone with Vodafone in 2021 so far, sorting out issues which they've caused! And that's before I just discovered that once again they haven't cancelled one of the lines we asked to be cut off ages ago and we're still being charged.

Would strongly urge any business owner who values their own time and some simple customer service to stay away. Will be moving all of our lines to another provider.

Recently signed up for broadband and TV. An 'engineer' hurriedly came out plugged in a box and left. It didn't work. I called Vodafone. They said wait for 48 hours. I did and called again. They said wait longer. I did and then was told someone had forgot to close my order and that had now been done so would be working in 24 hours. It did not so I called again. I was told an engineer would be out within 24 hours. Nothing for 48 hours so I chased up via email their twitter page which just said "someone should call you". I just had a call to tell me an engineer will be out in 4 days. This is already 60+ hours after I was told an engineer would be out to me in 24. Everyone completely unapologetic as well, really wish I'd read these reviews before signing up. Will be cancelling ASAP.

Constantly dropping since I moved to this area, they told me I need a new router which may help, but only if I sign up for 18 months.... a VERY long contract for something that "may" help. Tried to cancel today and they refused flat out to let me as I failed security. Told me if I cancel my DD they'll put me into bad credit. I'm not trying to access any financial details, just to stop paying for inadequate service. Bunch of jokers. I now have to load ID into their system to prove who I am so I can cancel... means at least 48 hours more stuck with them.... I wonder why the system is so impossible - there's only one beneficiary here!

Beyond bad. Swapped over on the 13th October. As of the 22nd October, still no internet. Can't believe what their team tell me as it conflicts with Open Reach engineers. Sent me to their local store to pick up temporary dongle.. Guess what, their store couldn't get on-line.. UNBELIEVABLE. Another engineer booked for the 25/10 but still no guarantee of internet. I've changed provider 4 times in the past, all changes have been smooth and trouble free.. Vodafone have been the only one to make a mess of it..

    DO NOT USE VODAFONE.

Put in my order for broadband on may 6th. Even though i read reviews, i figured - it'll be fine. It can't be that bad.

+ 14 days after filing order : First order was delayed - had to call them up on activation day(14 days later) and they told me that there's a system error and it is being solved.
+ 17 days after filing order - received a call that the order has been cancelled by mistake and was asked to put in another order
+ 30 days after filing first order - checked order status, activation date was supposed to be tomorrow - order cancelled by vodafone. Contacted customer support and was asked to give them another chance and they'd offer me first month for free - that'd take another 14 days before new activation date. in total 44 days and that's worth 35 pounds for them. What a joke.

Don't use vodafone - go with anyone else, but them. It's just ridiculous that vodafone can't get their systems in line.

Decided to leave sky for Vodafone in January , tempted by the good price and an amazon echo thrown in.
What a mistake that was My sky connection was 40 meg consistent.
Vodafone started at 55 and has now sunk to 18 meg.
My router had constant drop outs, self rebooting, thus lowering my line speed.
There is a bug within the router that when your Apple Watch connects via Wi-fi the router reboots.
This is a known problem to the tech team and new firmware will not be available until January at the earliest.
So I am now stuck with a pathetic speed and Vodafone will not let me go from my contract.
I have disconnected my watch and the line is now stable but do you think Vodafone will reset my line to training again., s as absolutely not,so now have to wait 8 weeks to escalate and leave this rubbish provider.

Company is a total waist of time. I could write a book of total absurdity I have had to endure trying to get a new line installed.
Ordered a new line took 30 minutes then days before it was to go active got a text with no reason telling me it had been canceled.
Called 25 minutes for them to tell me its because they could not transfer the number.
Had to reorder and another 30min of my time again.
Again, days before it was to go active got a text with no reason telling me it had been canceled.
Called 35 minutes for them to tell me they don’t know why and informed I had to reorder.
Again, one day after it was supposed to go active got a text with no reason telling me it had been canceled.
Called and they told me the old service provider canceled it. A service provider I am out of contract with. Told I must reorder again.
I will not waist any more time with this terrible company

Don’t waste your time with this company for broadband at any cost.

Don't bother ordering from them. I placed an order which they messed up and then blamed me for not contacting them. And because I didn't realise they'd cocked up I couldn't have the offer that I wanted because it was no longer available - disgraceful service.

I was with Vodaphone for nearly 2 years. When I joined I didnt get the promised speed, it was only 25Mbps, they discounted the cost. for the last few months i was getting drop out and speeds of less than 10Mbps, I kept having to reboot the router. Their help team were no use. just moved to BT and now getting 47Mps, wish I moved earlier, Vodaphone had me under the impression that I was only getting 25Mps to the property.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and broadband.

Have had intermittent problems due to a line fault since April 2018, could not work from home, or use broadband for domestic purposes. Despite raising the fault at the beginning of April, upgrading to superfast 2 and Vodafones promises to fix it or get fast internet speeds, the broadband speed and stability got worse down to 2 megabits/second download!.

It took Vodafone 4 months to send an OpenReach engineer to fix the line who stated that this should have been fixed sooner, and now I don't have any working internal phone lines.

Despite all of Vodafones nice customer service representatives and their promises to fix the fault, I have had to endure 4 months of terrible internet with 2 Megabit download speeds and disconnections every 2 to 40 minutes. My experience has been an absolute nightmare, and Vodafone would not let me cancel for breach of contract and wanted to charge me for the remaining months. This is in contravention of their own contract terms for poor service.

I am now referring this case to the Communications Ombudsman and will seek compensation and damages.

Suffice to say, Vodafone is the worst provider of broadband I have ever had in 15 years.

I've switched broadband providers fairly often and have never had issues....until now.

Vodafone are quite safely the most incompetent provider (and probably ANY company in any field) I have ever dealt with. I didn't even get as far as getting a connection before cancelling.

The router provided didn't work....fair enough..that happens. A replacement was due to be sent within 5 WORKING DAYS....meanwhile the line had switched so I was offline. I thought at this point that 5 days was bad enough but worse was to come. On the 5th day I rang for an update and ETA....guess what? the router had not been ordered...."it will definitely be there in the next 3 days". On the third day I rang for and ETA....guess what?...it hadn't been ordered or sent.
10 days so far without internet....which, granted, is a first world problem but nonetheless, as I am self-employed and work from home caused a great deal of inconvenience. The compensation offer?...a month's free line rental.
Bye bye Vodafone....officially the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Unfortunately I can't give zero stars otherwise I would.

I was looking for internet provider and spoke with a rep from 0800 number. He gave me quotations which I need to think about. He was aggressive in nature in finding out why I cant decide right away. He was a bit impolite and did not make me feel comfortable in answering some personal details. Please be advise that VODAFONE customer service is not admirable at all. Very harsh I deed. I am not calling Vodafone again.

Join Vodafone broadband in October this year total price would be £23 for existing Vodafone customers unfortunately there is no option for them to add a 5 pound discount so I have to paid £28 a month for 18 months the speed of the broadband is nowhere near what they appetising Wi-Fi is rubbish No good for streaming continually dropping out customer services are absolutely rubbish do not have a clue what they’re talking about you just get passed from department to department I’m going to cancel this contract early just to get away from Vodafone

I made a complaint which they say has been completed but have given me no details of the result. What is the point of a complaint service if they keep the results to themselves-?

Worst customer experience ever!!! Decided to move away from virgin do to the big increase in price. Decided for Vodafone as my mobile internet works great with them and price was decent. When I called to become client they were eager to take details and of course they mentioned we will deal with everything. Called a couple of days before installing to say that virgin is not saying anything regarding a cancellation. They say they can’t cancel Virgin and i need to do it myself. I tell them that was not mentioned. They reply we will listen to the recordings and will call you back in two hours. No phone call! Call back and tell them I dont think this is starting well and I want to cancel and not proceed with the installation of broadband. Answer we cant as it is 48 hours before the installer. I tell them I wont let them in. Get transferred to a different department and get told that is fine I should give him my broadband router and that everything will get cancelled as the broadband never got installed. Month later got my first bill!!!!! Called back and after 1 hour they couldn't see in the system that the installer hadn’t installed broadband and for them it was active!!! They were going to cancel and would let me know if they could cancel the invoice!!!! Got a message this morning if I can call them!!! Worst ever avoid at all cost. At the end got an offer from Virgin and sticking with them

Vodafone home broadband is the worst i had so far. Unfortunately when i moved flat, sky, which is so much better, could't be installed quickly, because it was christmas season. At that time, because i had mobile with vodafone, i took the risk to accept their broadband offer.
    I regret i didn't wait for Sky.
Vodafone internet at home is slow, crashes, doesn't reach the whole flat and is so unstable. Not to mention their customer service... i would never advise them to anyone

AVOID!!!! If there was an option to give zero stars I would. Had broadband with VF for 4 months now, internet drops at least 4 times a day, speed is so slow, lucky to get 9mbps through WIFI and ethernet. I work from home and this is a severe problem. The morons at tech support send us round in circles. We discovered not all of our issues have been logged. We were told twice we can leave without cancellation fee and compensation if the problem cannot be solved within 48 hours. It's now been 4 months and the broadband is so bad that we have now lost all internet connection for over a week. VF's response...the tech team will get back to you in 48 hours! APPALLING! We have logged a formal complaint and told we have to wait at least 14 days while they 'investigate' before we can cancel. What a load of BS!

Awful awful awful. The internet cuts out for around 2 minutes at a time on a regular basis - approximately 20-25 times per day.

Onerous terms in the contract mean you can easily be locked in if you move house within the UK and then have to renew your contract and pay a huge fee for installation. Finally, onerous terms in the terms and conditions mean moving abroad to an area where Vodafone cannot provide service was not a move that qualified for exemption from the termination. The rate of the termination fee is extortionately high, being almost half of the cost of the monthly internet. They will do anything to extort as much unearned money from you as possible.

    Avoid at all all costs.

Switched from talk talk to Vodafone. Gave them month advance time, on the day internet was not connected and now over two weeks later still no internet. Every "consultant" I lying in exactly the same way as previous consultant - engineer will be with you in two days and you will have the internet. Still nothing. Worst experience I ever had.

AVOID, should have gone live with broadband and phone line 28th January, 8 further failed activation dates, blaming openreach, I raised a disconnection of my contract and line for 29th March so could move to another provider....as of today 31st march I can't move to another provider as vodafone haven't cancelled.
Had 3 case workers dealing with this, asked to repeat same information every week with emails asking me to contact them if broadband still not active, explained I was housebound but not interested, horrendous 8 weeks dealing with them.
CISAS will be hearing about this.

After the 30 days period when user can suspend the 18 months account, the broadband speed dropped drastically (somehow it was ok before, what are the chances?
The customer services wanted me to provide evidence (at least 7 screenshots in a 24 hrs period) of this. I argued they should be able to measure this as I don't have the time/availability to monitor this. They didn't care. I am switching my 2 mobile accounts to another provider, and also the broadband as soon as I can as I don not want to give any services from them if they don't care about their customers. For now I am trapped, quite convenient the 18 months contracts for them. Stay well, well away.

Wi-Fi blocks absolutely every website with the word hack in it, meaning it is completely un useable for me as I'm studying ethical hacking at university. The restrictions are stupid e.g. they block exploit-db which is literally made by google. Furtherly they blocked Student finance application website for being insecure, its literally a government website. If you play 2 consoles at once it fails to connect to servers. Overall the worst experience I've had with Wi-Fi... EE Wi-Fi is better and that's saying something.

What adds insult to injury you can open all phishing links if you wanted to and Vodafone won't block one so they're 'Security measures' are absolutely pointless.

Also I live in a new build with very thin walls and get 1 bar in my bedroom which is laughable.

Being the cheapest on the market was their only upside but BT fibre is cheaper and twice as fast with speed guarantees and they don't block any website unless you set websites to be blocked.

If you read this and think its good Wi-Fi for a house with kids you are wrong as P*rn isn't blocked just important educational sources.

    Vodafone calls it "SecureNet"... Cute.
