I switched from BT to vodafone in April 2018. I've never experience a problem. Switch over was painless and the service has been continuous without interruptions. (Being .7 miles from the nearest exchange may be an advantage).

I am impressed with the broadband speed with Vodaphone and have found it much quicker to download a page on the internet compared to Sky.
I had a small technical problem and found the Vodaphone technical support to be excellent. They answered the call quickly and showed top notch problem solving skills in diagnosing the problem and fixing the issue. I would recommend Vodaphone as a broadband provider.

Not sure what the hating is all about. After being with talktalk & Sky in the past Vodafone are a refreshing change. The best broadband customer service if not one the best customer service full stop.
A few weeks after getting broadband it went down fof some reason & they sorted it, up & running again with an engineer within 24 hours. Changed my payment date twice & no issues at all. Speed is good, every now & again it may lag a little but its rare & tbh its to be expected, the speed is the same regardless who've I been with.
Highly recommended, don't let the reviews put you off - don't forget most people only review to moan so you don't get to see the good side

Switch went without a hitch yesterday about 2 weeks after I placed the order on line. £24 for 76 mbps is great value. Nice router and the mobile app is v useful too. So far excellent after the nightmare of last provider which we are still awaiting refund from. Too early to give 5* all round but impressed!

We have had Vodafone for our broadband for about 18 months. In that time we have had 2 occassions with loss of connectivity. I have to say that the Vodafone customer service and technical support, at both times, has been fantastic. Everyone I spoke to over the phone regarding the issues have been friendly, helpful and proactive aiming to get the problem fixed quickly. Vodafone sent out a BT technician within 24 hours of our complaint and also sent out a new router quickly. At no point have Vodafone 'blamed BT' or 'blamed us' which we used to hear all the time when we had broadband with TalkTalk (TalkTalk's customer service was so appalled I twice resorted to crying - not cool but true). I have been more than happy with the switch we made to Vodafone and will continue using them.

I left BT to go to Vodafone after shockingly poor customer service. Little did I know that Vodafone was equally as bad! Their customer service team all seemed nice guys but none of them knew what they were talking about. I was given incorrect information by the operative I signed up with which would have cost me more money unless I hadn't recorded our call and could prove she had mis-sold their product. I had further calls to quantify emails that they had sent to me which gave conflicting information to each other and no one could explain the emails they sent to me. Calling their customer service is not a quick procedure and each of my calls lasted between 30 and 75 minutes - not in queues but talking to advisors who didn't know what they were on about or needed to get further information from colleagues about elements of their products that they knew nothing about. I am still in my 30 day "cooling off" period, and believe me I am leaving straight away. I have never encountered a service as bad as there one I left at BT but Vodafone are well up there with the worst! Don't even bother unless you like to get stressed out by emails they send which suggest they've signed you up for that you never requested and unless you can afford to spend hours on the phone to operatives who do not know what they are doing. You have been warned!!!

I am actually quite impressed - so I was on Sky and was having constant dropouts getting worse and worse, with the useless Sky call centre telling me there was no problem, there was just traffic on the line, and no point Openreach coming out.

I switched to Vodafone and was obviously having the same issue, as I suspected it was a line fault. A few minutes on the webchat with Vodafone and they confirmed there was an issue, said they'd send an engineer round if they couldn't fix it virtually. Openreach engineer came round within 3 days, and seems to have found/fixed the issue. I'm impressed with their customer service, haven't tried the call centre but the guys on the webchat are helpful.

Overall I can't fault Vodafone Broadband. I've got the 76MB service, which rarely goes below 60MB. Last year it started getting really bad, due to contention (too many users), it took six months to fix, because they had to install new fibre locally to support additional connections. Then it was back to it's usual reliable service. Vodafone bend over backwards to resolve issues and reward loyalty.

I suppose most people only leave reviews when things go wrong, which distorts the real picture. Although Vodafone twice cancelled my order, it was soon re-activated and after a week of service I am (so far) very satisfied. The service activated flawlessly on the correct day, the speeds and latency are better than before and I'm paying £20, not BT's £48 per month for my internet!

Vodafone seem to get some stick here -
so thought i would post my overall positive experience.

Switched over from Sky Fibre last month (due to price as Sky had been fine).. rang Vodafone as an existing customer and said i would like to move to their fibre 76. Managed to get the connection fee waived, and save £2 pm as a Vodafone customer.

I had asked if i can use my own router (as my house if fully wired) which they confirmed was fine.... but i still had to pay £6.99 for them to post me a router i didnt want.

On day of switch over i lost broadband for a hour or so - so no big deal. I then had to ring them to request my connection username and password to use my own router - which was a bit of fun and games - as the supplied username and password didnt work.

PM'd them again - and they confirmed my username and password which matched what i had been supplied - they then asked what hardware i wanted to use - (ASUS DSL-AC68U) to which they said it wasnt BT approved so would not work!

10 mins on a couple of google forums i managed to work out the supplied username needed to have an extension added to it (just like sky did)

So now using my own hardware again - with decent wifi (unlike the supplied router) and have decent speeds - actually connects and sync faster than Sky - and i pay less p er month - so i am a happy customer!

We swapped to vodafone after being with sky for a very long time, The lack of having to pay line rental was amazing and members of the family are also with vodafone for mobiles, which made it even cheaper.

Still only getting 54megs (on the 76 package at the moment but knowing this will go up over the next 10 days as they do tests on the line to make sure it can cope with the faster speeds. upload is at a full 20megs which is lush.

The router is fine, but we have our own access points for wifi and switch to power those access points so its just sat there as a router/gateway to the internet (anyone expecting amazing hardware from their isp are silly, all isps hardware is cheap when it comes to wifi in my book. not gone down once since the connection was moved over. loving the gb network connections to the rest of the LAN.

Seeing as its faster/cheaper than sky its a win win. Will leave another comment after a month or so.

I chose Vodafone when moving into a new property.

Wi-fi hub was delivered on time, and activation went ahead as scheduled with no issues.

So far, after around 3 weeks, I've had no issues, speed is on par with predicted speeds, signal is strong all over the house and no drop outs.

I haven't had a need to contact customer service so can't comment on their effectiveness, but I've been a customer of their mobile service for years and they have always been helpful

Absolutely happy with my vodafone broadband. Speeds are good and although my plan ended a few months ago I still only pay the incentive price (it's not gone up in the almost 2 years since I used them).
Internet used to cut out every now and again at the beginning of the pandemic but customer service was very helpful and kind and reduced the amount I had to pay due to the network cutouts until it was working better again.
We often have strong winds in Bristol but internet is mainly reliable.
    I definitely recommend them.

Changed over to Vodafone from Blood Transfusion as price went sky high with those leeches that were privatised by our dear friend Margaret Thatcher,I can honestly say that Vodafone is the best I.S.P that up to now ,and I have used Talk Talk,Sky,B.T.,and Plus Net,but after 6 weeks now of utilising Vodafone they are in my opinion the real deal.

After seeing so many negative reviews I figured I'd give my own review after having very positive experience with Vodafone. My broadband was available and activated straight away on activation day, 6 months later when we moved we unfortunately were not connected on the activation day however the day after I called customer support who were very helpful and got us up and running within 20 minutes.

My only issue with vodafone broadband would be that it does cut off at times and you have to switch the router off and on again, however no other issues as of yet.

At the begining it was TERRIBLE!
I'm using it about a year and I can say it is ok now.
The up/down speed is good, low latency (gaming is ok), absolutely no problem now.

First thing to do is to drop out the Vodafone router because it is just simply a junk. I had to restart it every day sometimes twice a day or more because the WIFI connection was rubbish, the forums are full of complaints but looks like no one cares at voda.

You have to ask the customer service to give out the routers password and buy/use your own router (about £20 on eb@y a Homehub5 with openwrt is perfect)

With Vodafone broadband you must use a 3rd party router because their device is @#@#!&@ ..very low quality.

Took up their Fibre76 offer which was the cheapest at the time from a more trusted provider.
Handover from BT went as planned and was up and running by 5pm of stated day, with speeds comparable to BT.

Since then connection has been reliable and consistent, save for some disruption during road resurfacing in the area.

Following BT work in the area, am not receiving a downstream speed of 72Mbit! (so looks like it's now fibre to the cabinet).

Only frustrations have been an inability to initiate a line check after basic verification (as I could with Virgin & BT), and a very basic modem with limited functionality (doesn't support IPv6 or more advanced DHCP/DNS setup).
Overall, considering cost, speed & reliability would happily recommend them for most.

Vodafone broadband doesn’t get best reviews but it might be because people tend to leave a feedback when things go wrong. My experience was quite good and only marginally short from giving 5 stars.
    1. Moving provides
Switch form TalkTalk was quite smooth but I had some issues with the activation which resulted in being without the internet for a day. It was handled well by the Vodafone customer service.
    2. Customer service
Quite good from my experience. No long waiting times and all issues were resolved promptly.
    3. Broadband speed
I am still within 10 days from switching so there are slight speed fluctuations. Initially the sync speed (from provider to the router) was 56 which wasn’t satisfactory considering my previous provider had around 76 almost all the time. I spoke to the Vodafone CS and they apparently fixed some minor problem which increased my sync speed to 66. It does seem like Vodafone tries to limit the speed for some reason. In general 66 is enough for my needs so that won’t persuade it further.
    4. Broadband reliability
So far I had no any dropped connections and the line seems to be stable. For those having issues, try to split the network to 2.4GHz and 5GHz and change channels from automatic allocation to 11 for 2.4GHz and 44 for 5GHz network.
    5. The App
This is the best Vodafone broadband feature in my opinion. Very versatile and has many options to control your network like scheduling, blocking particular devices, activating guest network etc.

Overall, I am satisfied with Vodafone broadband. Lower download speed and some hiccups during installation were the reasons for 4 stars rating. Price wise it’s a good deal, probably one of the best on the market at the moment. Be prepared to negotiate with CS if you want max speeds.

I have been with Vodafone for just over two years now. Started on the superfast plan but didn't quite get the speed I was supposed to however as stated vodafone gave me a discount for the remainder of my contract. I've had no connection issues as others mention and I have always had good experiences with customer services who have always been very polite and helpful resolving any issues. My area now has the full fibre broadband on offer which I'm due to have connected tomorrow. For me Vodafone have been my best provider for the money.

I must say I was a little apprehensive about changing my broadband supplier. However I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised with service I have received. I placed my order online a few weeks ago and chose the date in which I wanted to switch. I was then kept informed regularly by email of my order. My router arrived a few days before the switch with no problems. On switch day I came home at 2pm not expecting the internet to be up and running at that time as I was told it could take up until midnight. However it was already switched over and ready to go. I had a minor issue with the router password which was swiftly dealt with by the customer service team. Overall I am very happy with the experience. The online chat is also very good and is readily available if you have any queries. The speed of the internet seems absolutely fine so far with no drop-outs as yet. So yes very pleased I switched

We've had VF broadband for a few years now and across 3 different addresses. They've been great.

When we move, they give us unlimited data on our mobiles until things are sorted, same when roadworks pulled all the cable from under the road and a BT engineer took 2 weeks to restore service. Mind you, we have our mobiles with them as well.

We need to split 2.4 and 5 out for a couple of older devices and in both our current house and the previous one, we've been talked through the steps by an engineer.

Our current place has a basement level which couldn't get the wifi signal so VF *paid for a powerline Wifi extender thingy* (£30) I bought from Currys.

I'll subtract a star for Customer service (painful automated system and slow to answer the phone sometimes), one for speed (though we are in the country now) and one for reliability (it's dropped a couple of times in the last week) but overall, I'm really happy and would recommend them.

Vodafone Customer Services have been brilliant, I'm afraid its Openreach Fibre Services that have let Vodafone down as they do with all other fibre providers. If only Openreach would upgrade each time they reduce services due to demand, then all Broadband Fibre would improve no matter who you were with. But no complaints about Vodafone, they have been excellent.

Moved to Vodafone 76mb package from BT Infinity 2. BT's obfuscated billing drove me away. Vodafone package is £30/mth for 18 months, no additional line rental - simple! Switchover was seamless. There was a little variation in sync speeds initially, but this has now settled down. I have a slightly slower sync than I was getting with BT, but never any disconnections. I am using the supplied router for DHCP and modem purposes only, everything comes in through a separate wireless access point. Some people have reported that the Vodafone router can't handle more than a few wireless connections - I have had no such issues. I contacted Vodafone customer services via live chat to get my authentication details, which they will provide if you quote an Openreach-approved router that you want to switch to. Now I'm using the Vodafone router as stated, this is no longer required, but good to know you can use your own equipment if preferred. Happy customer so far.

I left talk talk and BT to move to Voadaphone. Had great customer service when taking out the package. they did all the coms talking to my old provider.
3 days before as promised with tracking got the router plugged it in.

Used it with my old provider.

on the day of switchover was online by 7pm the same day.

Speeds were 36mbps down and 8mbps up

router updated itself and has all the bells and whistles.

for me being a technie i got CAT7 cabling around my house and i did upgrade my Master socket to a MK4 BT socket which does help a lot.
have an extended phone line to downstairs which has a filtered faceplate.

Overall cant complain about price and service.

Speeds can be a bit hit and miss but i always get the minimum speeds of 26 which is faster than before at peak times using speed test.

Hi, For sometime I have been using Vodaphone and they were the best could find. However I have noticed their customer service has improved for better of late. A recent call for a new modem was serviced promptly. I then had an issue with the line dropping and had excellent customer service from a chap Called Mohamed. Thank you Mohamed and he fixed my issue while I was on the call. Promised to phone me tomorrow to check too. Well done on the improvement. Thank you

Reasonable speed as we are a long way from an exchange. Occasional hiccups with service, but very rare. Price is good for our service and will probably stay with Vodafone on renewal.

Changed from BT to Vodafone and am on Superfast 1 broadband, with voicemail on the landline. Switchover of broadband was seemless and not had any problems with coverage, reliability or speed. Phone was swtiched over and was able to keep the same number but voicemail wasn't added. I phoned up four times until it was finally added on. The staff were very nice each time but the fact I was told three times it was to be added in the next 24 hours, and it never was, was a bit of a nuisance. Also, the line dropped whilst put on hold on two of the calls. So overall I'd recommend as the service itself is good, despite the poor customer service.

This is a first day review. All kit delivered on time with easy instructions. Wifi up and running in minutes, phone line a little longer to make/ receive calls. As was suggested in paperwork, internet speed started sluggishly but has really picked up as the day has gone on. Haven't given 5 stars throughout because this is day 1 but I am very pleased so far.

Finally arrived and after a seriously rocky start we were able to speak with someone who actually knew what they were talking about. Mobile account could not be consolidated with BB account, so now I have to live with two bills, (not too inconvenient), on the whole pretty dam good service after a rocky start, recommended service - Thank you

im moving again because of slow speed. The misconception that is going around it is the isp to blame for slow speed. It is the line to you're house that is the problem. You may be on 50 year copper that is not fit for purpose be connected other homes via a junction serving homes as well. This was my problem Openreach had to replace all cabling to the house including the underground cable to the cabinet. Result no change whatsoever. BT and Openreach claims of up to 76 Mbps are exaggerated and the companies that supply broadband have a sold a lot of nonsense. Time to force BT to uprade its infrastructure it is not fit for modern fibre use.

Unable to access certain websites. Despite online support from Vodafone technical support, this matter could not be resolved. Tried switching off all content control and this still didn't work. Decided to switch providers within the 14 days from account opening to another provider and this has resolved my issue, websites can now be accessed.

We get an overall good service with Vodafone. The router is fine and they will provide you the PPPoA password if you want to get a better one.

Support has been fine. They have both phone and online chat support.

Speed is expected and in line with what Openreach is available on the line.

Overall a good, cheap and reliable ISP

Avoid like the plague if you want anything sorting out quickly!!
Had issues getting connected originally. Had to wait 1 day before they would even talk about it and then 2 days to speak to a human. I now have an issue where my work laptop won't connect so loosing working from home time. I appreciate it mate be a hardware issue but why is everything so difficult to sort.
Also, a small thing, the route itself is HUGE!!!
Dreadful, am pulling out in my 14 days grace

They were cheap and you get what you pay for. The speed is OK, but the router is rubbish with constant Wi-Fi dropouts. Customer service are pretty hopeless, clearly script bound to refuse to admit to a well documented problem. I am currently getting round the problem with a borrowed TP Link router, but shouldn't have to.

Left Sky to go to Vodafone. Activation/swap over on time and all good. Router arrived before this date as promised so from a customer service point of view not complaints. Router comes pre-fixed with a lot of features enabled that I think slows down/impairs performance. After a few days speed had massively dropped and connection was wavey. They do optimise the line in the first ten days but it shouldn't cause so many FEC corrections and errors/speed drops. Switching a lot of these off on the router appears to have fixed this. Speed has been 63mpbs continually, no drops and wi-fi speed all over a three storey house is very good and a huge improvement on Sky. So far so good but router needs tweaking, app is a nice touch although the "beam wi-fi" feature appears to have gone.
