Absolutely poor, the customer service was frankly some of the worste I've ever experienced. We had a direct set up which forever reason wasn't coming and we did not notice untill three months down the line, baring in mind we had not email phone call letter to say this was haplening. We rang them up to sort it out and were told it had been passed onto a debt agency we argued our case paid our bill and were then told were going to have to send you a new box! This mean waiting another month untill we can use it again with no compensation and to top it off we were laughed at down the ohone, this company is a joke to be honest with waiting till our times up and cancelling asap. Piss ******* poor

The worst broadband company I've ever dealt with. Don't be persuaded by the low prices. Took over 2 weeks of no braodband until it was up and running. Constant drop outs. Speed should have been 78mb - I was consistently receiving speeds of 76mb with EE. I'm lucky if it doesn't drop out every hour but am achieving speed of less than 25mb at all times - much slower at peak times. I've made 3 official complaints to them starting on 6th June - each time they tell me tech team will contact me within 72 hours but still waiting and it's 9th July. No apologies forthcoming and no offers of discounts. I'm waiting till my 8 weeks are up and contacting the ombudsman.

Customer service quite poor i wouldn't recommend them. With one or two exceptions i was promised call backs that never came ,was given information that was wrong and simple problems took an age to sort out.

I purchased a 50GB data sim contract with the option video package totalling £37 a month plus the dongle.

The my account on the website failed to ever work so I couldn't check how much data I had left or put a data cap on my device.

I rang Vodafone up numerous times, some said they would call back (they didn't) other times they were getting "specialists" to fix the issues. Out of the 5 or 6 times this happened they failed to fix it. The customer service agent (CSA) said that they would cover any data in case I go over as they themselves couldn't put on a data cap. (Which is shocking). After the issue still occuring and sick of waiting on hold everytime I call trying to see how much data I have left because the issue was still not sorted, I contacted the complaints number.

Complaints team were just as bad, I was promised a call back from a supervisor multiple times (which never happened) - they just don't care.

The issue was still not fixed and I went over my data by quite a bit despite the previous CSA saying I would be covered. Vodafone's fees for going over your data is extortionate and despite being meant to be covered as I couldn't put on a data cap as the issue was still not fixed, they preceded to want to charge me £180 in overcharges. (Going over 15GB over my data and they charge £180, whereas my contract is £30 for 50GB.)

I spent a long time on the phone with multiple calls trying to get this escalated, turns out they were hopeless. After wanting to burst my own ear drums after listening to the same songs over and over again on hold, they refused to help. They overcharged me £68 in the end and I cancelled my contract with them. I spent a total of around 15-20 hours on the phone with them over a couple of months.

As promised to the guy on the phone I plan to spread the word of mouth around to anyone who mentions Vodafone or who is considering. They used to be good but have got too big for their boots and scam their customers despite making promises.

I was going to take them to court, although this is not worth the hassle for £68 and they clearly knew that. But it's fine if they want to focus on this short term approach that leaves them to be the most hated phone network provider in the UK.

The issue was simple and these "specialists" and CSA's were completely unhelpful. Their focus on "soothing" customers and not actually fixing issues shows how inadequate and totally unacceptable their service is.

Never going back to Vodafone now...

If Vodafone would like to contact me and make amends they can find my contact number through my Vodafone account.

Absolute shambles! Their 'customer service' is atrocious. No goodwill at all. I was sceptical at first going with Vodafone after a previous bad experience and I was proven right not to go with them. Never ever ever again!!

Had it for nearly a year and without fail the quality is shoddy at best and non existent at worst, connection constantly fails and disconnects no matter what device you use. Makes even watching a short clip or messaging people a pain. Whatever you do don't get Vodafone broadband

For any potential vodafone mobile broadband customers out there. Heed my warning..

Dongle bought 27th Dec 2017, it came with 1GB of free 3G data

15GB of data purchased for £25 ~20th January 2018 when I used the 1GB of free data.

It is important to note this data pack should last for 90days of 15GB, whichever happens first

    Since then... Nightmare...

It is important to note that the dongle is for my parents, who get 3G 'just' but are in a poor ADSL area with no chance of fibre. The Mobile broadband was for low useage, occasional emails etc...

PAYG data packs have never lasted longer then a week before I get the dreaded "top up needed webpage" when I try to access the internet. Now this is prompted, not by the VF WiFi hotspot but by the 'network'. This has resulted in weekly phonecalls to Tech Support who say the 15GB pack is 'broken' and has an issue. The say the smaller GB packs 'work' so they'll clear down the 15GB purchase and add smaller packs. I just need to phone when the data is consumed, state the problem is the 15GB 'issue' and they'll add more data.

So 7 days ago 2GB was added. (6th time of phoning)

I reset the data counter on the router...

    14MB used on the router

<70MB used according to My Vodafone

and service has been turned off again

I have been a loyal VF customer for years, but this experience has been horrific.

No support, no communication (despite promised callbacks)

    No compensation

    and more importantly, no service....

All I can do is urge people to consider other options - my experience has destroyed all faith I have in VF to deliver the service they promise, and I've paid for.

    Buyer beware!

Whole time best scammers. Please dont go for this. They are not providing the complete data in the pack. Always facing technical issue which their team is not able to resolve. Just eating the money and customers are in trouble. I used to contact them on daily basis to resolve the connectivity issue.

So looked at various broadband offers after Xmas, thought I'd move from DSL to fibre for less than I'm paying PlusNet. Place order, go away on business find shiny new router to install, check PlusNet router, still working and active to Internet..Install router no service. Vodafone decided to cancel the order on the 3rd of March and not bother to contact me via the 2 numbers and 1 email address available to them. Just got off the phone to a nice lady but decided to not process the order as 'that offer is no longer available', she didn't even know the service costs. Now waiting for a returns bag for shiny router to send back for next victim. Can't complain about the service, I didn't get any.

Absolutely shocking! Came from BT in November with no previous issues to Vodafone where I’ve had nothing but problems.
Continually dropping out & dial up speeds although they insist that there’s no fault. I’m heading to Trading Standards by the end of the week if this isn’t sorted!
Pay extra for another provider, avoid this lot at all costs!!

Worst customer service ever. They sent me a phone that does not work properly, the cable provided was dodgy as well. Spoke to the 'team' and their 'manager' in Egypt who has totally no empathy. No idea of what customer service is and all they do is talk over you and tell you what THEIR process is. I have to take the time to go to the store where they will send my phone off for approx 2 weeks and they will provide a loan phone. LMAO at their loan phone because 2 years ago I had the same issue with my Iphone 6s plus. The 'loaner' was an old smelly, dingy phone that had no functionalities except being able to make phone calls and receive which affected my day to day activities. When the phone came back it was still not fixed! I then had to make an appointment with the Apple store in Kingston who took one look at the phone and replaced it straight away! I hate vodafone. They are a horrible company. Stay away. Unfortunately I have just renewed my contract again because they are good at luring you in with good deals at first. But I assure you this will be the last time that I will be renewing my contract. Each time I upgrade, change my contract or need to have something done by Vodafone I have to get angry, annoyed and frustrated. They even had the guts to call me a liar once! The call was then listed to and they called back to apologize!

I wish I had read these reviews before I left sky BB.
I signed up with sky purely on cost. £20 a month for Fibre to cabinet is a brilliant price. However this is where my love for Vodafone broadband ends.
My download speed is quoted as 32mb/s and upload of 8mb/s but thats into the Router. This speed never makes it out to any devices. Constant dropped connections No IPV6 for xbox (be warned this slows it down no end. Vodafone are also traffic shaping horendousley I think this is why its so cheap.
Be warned if you are like me with a wife and 2 kids with probably 20 things connected to the internet Vodafone is not for you.

Setting up the account didn't work first time, they then sent three routers so the internet wouldn't work until they sync the correct router serial number. Customer service is awful. Have had to reset account every time I try to log in. Now log in doesn't work if you use Safari (Apple) browser

very bad experience. I was told i had capped data, and it wasn't. ended up paying hundred pounds extra and Vodafone doesn't care.
If you request capped data, always request confirmation in writing, otherwise you don't have a way to prove. hope this feedback helps.

I wish I had the reviews on this page before purchasing.
I purchased the 50Gb deal for £30 per month for my children to use. After checking my bank account they have charged me £192.50 because unbeknown to me you have to ask for your allowance to be capped. we have allegedly used an additional 50gb and been charged accordingly. what a rip off and to add insult to injury I've just spent the last hour trying to Cancel.
coverage has been crap as well.

Changed to VD Fibre 76 from BT Infinity 2 in order to save 60% on the price. Excellent communication prior to the change with plenty of explanation. Router arrived a couple of days before activation allowing me to set it up. VD was up and running 10 minutes after connecting the router and has provided solid connection at the same speed as BT. Absolutely no complaints and I'm enjoying the financial savings!

Internet is slow and unreliable. I hardly ever leave reviews for anything, but this service is utterly terrible. My immediate neighbour gets 5X the broadband speed, and I'm paying for "unlimited fibre"?!! Customer service was helpful once when the service wasn't working at all, they gave all the VF mobile phones in the house unlimited mobile data for a month - which kept my 3 children happy over Christmas. I'll still be switching to another provider the second the contract runs out.

Awful!! Wi-fi is pointless as it just drops out when I’m using it so have to rely on my mobile data. Clearly a problem somewhere but all I got from customer services was “we don’t gaurentee wi-fi speed. Speed isn’t an issue, it’s just the constant dropping out even if stood next to the router

From the day I got broadband with Vodafone the service signal and reliability has been terrible. I have stuck with it for several months and finally decided to switch. After several calls they are still insisting on charging me an early cancellation charge which I find completely unbelievable. Such shockingly bad customer service it's unreal. What ever you do don't use vodafone!!!

I switched to vodafone after having Dky broadband for the years (never complained). My switch was just a cost-saving decision.

Vodafone broadband was supposed to go live on a Friday, didn't and so I phone their customer service on Saturday and Sunday who both promised the service will go live in 24hrs. Never happened. 2 weeks later I was still without internet with a lousy 50gb add on on my mobile package to use instead.

I have now switched to plusnet which have been amazing. Customer service keep you updated on progress and service date was delivered on time :)

I have been with bt and virgin before for many years and never had to call them for any broadband issues ever. With vodafone broadband it seems like dealong with some dodgy company setup only recently. Broadband connection keeps dropping and now the first month bill is like some random amouny which was more than twice the actual contract. I was kept online unnecessarily long without much explanation. One can hear laughter in the background not very professional at all. The agent just reduced the bill and it seems a common occurrence and from them if you call or pay if you don't notice. I signed up because it was cheap and now I can't wait for the contract to come to an end. It is the fastest package and i am in very good location for the fasteat but still it seems very poor connection odd times. Stay away from them

Four years fibre broadband with EE & later, sky. Their routers connected and stayed connected at around 34 to 35 me.
For a week this was the same with Vodafone then it dropped to just over 27 then fell in stages to 22.4 - which by an amazing coincidence is the exact minimum speed for their service level agreement.
in short their support staff said there's nothing they can't do anything about it. They can't raise a fault report as it's within their minimum speed guarantee.
DO NOT FALL FOR THE DEALS THEY OFFER! - THEY ARE CHEAPER FOR A REASON - ALMOST HALF THE SPEED OF OTHERS & VERY POOR TECHNICAL BACKUP.

I have took out a plan with Vodafone just over two weeks ago unfortunately we are in a position that we cannot get unlimited broadband locally so after a recommendation from the neightbour and the advise of the the store representative at currys that there is no option for more than 50GB we have picked your home wifi package which we were pretty happy with.

My understanding was that it cannot go over the 50GB limit or at least I would get notified if it did which is what would have happened if we also had a mobile connected to the account.

Our internet stopped working today so I quickly installed the app and to my surprise there was 65GB usage showing.

I have called vodafones advisor to ask regarding the usage potential addons etc he advised me that I have gone over and the extra 15GB will cost us close to 200 pounds.

I have tried to ask him to apply the add-on for this month as the month wasnt over so we have 65GB and a cap set for the future plus an online account so I can manage it better as I havent been suggested this before. He was insisting that I have to pay these charges.

If I knew I do not get notified I would have downloaded the app the least or if I was suggested an online account/data cap on our last call when I was trying to change the billing date I would have done that,

This was our first and probably last experience with vodafone as it stands I have cancelled our monthly deal now I am sorry it ended like this as the plan would have suited us with the additional 15GB add on but having to pay almost 200 pounds for a bill that should have only come to 50 is way too much and I do not feel like you they want your custom but your money.

I asked to speak to the manager but nobody would speak to me.

Things did not start well but got a lot better. Initially my broadband was due to go live with VF on Thursday, My Sky stopped working on this day but VF BB did not start working, many phone calls later and it was all finally working BB and phone 6 days later, I was not pleased although I do not know if VF are at fault or Openreach. But as I said everything improved. The router although hated by many seems good to me. Port forwarding was easy to setup and it is also doing port address translation (for example incoming port 2300 to port 554 on internal Lan) my Sky box did not do this. I have over 30 devices on my internal network which can be accessed from the WiFi correctly. I have a music 16Gb library on a USB memory stick plugged into the VF router and this is accessed by my 6 Sonos boxes. My download and upload speed is as it should be, quite high FEC on the stats page but does not seem to be a problem. The WiFi coverage is as good as my Ausu DSL-N55U. The CPU is showing only 10% and memory usage 41%

RARELY do I leave reviews but I switched from SKY Fibre Broadband to Vodafone on what I thought was a cost saving decision. ABSOLUTE rubbish. I went for the fastest option. After just days I was having to call them because the wifi signal to devices was poor. After a long winded conversation changing a whole host of settings, I still had multiple issues. In the 2 weeks I had it I had no internet of any kind for 3 separate days.

The router technology is still way off the competition and the service incredibly unreliable. They are a few years away from providing broadband that can compete with SKY/Virgin.

Get out of your contract within the 30 days cooling off period!!

This is by far the worst company that I have ever encountered in my life, bearing in mind I've been in the UK for the last 10 years and have gone through Orange, O2, Three, etc... Their customer service is a joke and a team of unprofessional individuals who are rude and incapable of ever solving problems that they've caused. In the last 4 months, I have called over 15 times, spent over 7.5 hours (given the fact that they place you on hold and phone calls average at 30 minutes per call, and this one time I stayed on for 2 hours before the agent just hung up on me). My contract ended in June, prior to the contract ending, I went into the shop a month before and called to inform them that i had no desire of renewing the contract as I had been paying for a year for a contract that i wasn't using as the first month of me having the phone, the phone got stolen in a house burglary for which I had a police report as evidence. They stated that there was nothing I could do as I didn't have insurance. Also some months my bill would be higher for a contract that was never used but they always had an excuse. So understandably when the contract ended, i was keen to be done with this ordeal. However the real ordeal came from me being charged for the last 4 months for a contract that was supposedly finished and I'd asked to cancel. Agents one time would reassure me that it'd been cancelled and a refund would be given, then I'd be charged the next month and the same cycle would start back. This month was the worst with rude agents and them claiming they'd refunded me, taking my debit card details and nothing to show for it. I would NOT recommend this.

Things did not start well but got a lot better. Initially my broadband was due to go live with VF on Thursday, my Sky stopped working on this day but VF BB did not start working, some phone calls later and it was all finally working BB and phone 6 days later. I was not pleased although I do not know if VF are at fault or Openreach. But as I said everything improved. The router, although hated by many seems good to me. Port forwarding was easy to setup and it is also doing port address translation (for example incoming port 2300 to port 554 on internal Lan) my Sky router did not do this. The CPU is showing only 10% and memory usage 41% so it would seem the router coping well with the more than average demands I put on it. All this for £20 a month, a bargain in my opinion. Its a shame it was a bad start. I found the VF support line helpful and courteous if not very technical. Openreach were very helpful the engineer gave me his mobile number so I could ring him directly if any more problems occurred with their side of things. Can't think of any other relevant points, I am now a happy VF customer, mind you its only been up and running for 4 days.

Where do I start? I ordered broadband with them on the 1st of September. On this date, I was told that I was booked in with an engineer for the 18th. So I travelled to nottingham for that date, having to take time off specifically for this. Then on the morning of the 18th, i'm sent an email telling me to 'get ready for my installation on the 21st'. After waiting hours on hold, i'm told to wait until 8 for the engineer, which I knew wasn't going to happen. So on the 21st, when I'm not in the county, I get a call telling me that the bt open zone guy is outside. Once I tell Vodafone about this problem, they were quick to give me 50gb free if I was with Vodafone mobile (which I'm glad i'm not), or add 'credit to my account', which costs them nowhere near as much as it costs me to travel on short notice and take days off work to be stood up. After calming down and agreeing to have an engineer come on the 12th of October (21 days notice), an engineer shows up on the 10th. Which was incredibly inconvenient, because it made me late for work, waiting for this guy to do absolutely nothing as it turns out. Then I called to find out why this was the case, and was told that 'engineers come whenever they're free and around your area'. Now, even a child can point out why this would be an infinitely bad idea, especially since if you're unavailable for your surprise visit, you're charged a missed appointment fee. But that aside, the broadband still wasn't working after installation, I once again called Vodafone (18th time by this point), and was told that it wouldn't go live until the 12th. Which I thought was fair. The 12th finally came, and the broadband still wasn't working, so when I called (19th time), I was told that 'the broadband order on my account was cancelled', and that apparently 'this is a rare situation that never happens, but they're going to try to fast track my activation date'. After hearing this nonsense, I was contacted later in the day to be given a status update saying 'btw, nothing has happened yet'. Probably the least informative update to ever have to endure. I called back later that day to be told that I had an engineer visit on the 23rd of October, which I never booked and had no idea about. I still wouldn't have known this date unless I had called them, and it's lucky I did. I was told that the openzone man had not installed the line properly, and I need another appointment on a date I never agreed upon. I had decided to cancel my account with them, and they literally encouraged me to leave. No retentions, no explanation, just 'shop around and we'll be happy to cancel your contract free of charge since you're within your first 30 days'. What's interesting about this, is that if I had waited until the 23rd, and nothing had happened, I'd have been outside of my 30 days, and would've been expected to pay a cancellation fee, which felt almost like a plot to trap me within their horrible service. Not once did I feel like they were listening to my struggle, and till this day, I still haven't received my cancellation email. It's almost as if they're trying to be sleazy with their services to suck money out of you. I now get nothing from their lack of competence, but wasted time and money, while these guys laugh all the way to the bank with for their lack of half decent customer support. I still have no internet thanks to these clowns. I call them clowns because their service is absolutely laughable. I honestly wish I could review less than one star, because I think even that would be too generous.

Everything about my broadband experience with Vodafone has been terrible. I have never come across a company so incompetent and dis-interested in customer satisfaction. I signed up because they were the cheapest - I found the reasons why. I will never deal with Vodafone again as long as I live.

Most people here are complaining about about substandard broadband from Vodafone. I could even get connected to find out myself but if my experience is anything to go by I have not reason to doubt it would have been just as bad. I had my first order cancelled via text message with no reason give, I called and was told it was a system error. Vodafone then put another order through for me. This was after two weeks. Another two weeks went by and I received a message my router was being delivered today only to get another text message saying my order had been cancelled as there was no room in the exchange. So a fully wasted four weeks. I think the real reason why it was cancelled is that the £20 offer has proven so massively popular that they can't cope/are losing money. Also I went through a cash back site and I think they realized this and also decided to cancel. A more shoddy company I have not come across in many years. I will definitely avoid in the future and advise others to do so.

Don’t touch Vodafone. Broadband is extremely slow, constantly drops out and you have to reboot the hub at least six times a day. Customer service is no existent. Phone them and the wait time is over two hours. Staff are rude over social media.
