Very poor customer service. They just send automated reply to complaints and no other response. A 1 star ratting is too much. Deserve zero rating on all categories. Worst broadband provider in my experience.

Changed to po because bt almost doubled in price 5 weeks ago, I had problems from the start their useless router keeps dropping the connection also their router will NOT connect to my epson wireless printer after 3 weeks they told me I cannot connect to printer or local network with their router even though it clearly says I should be able to on their faq they told me to buy my own router now I cannot get them to give me the settings, also they do NOT reply in 24 hours as stated more like 7 days. AVOID AT ALL COSTS (It will cost you if you do).

I already had homephone with the PO which worked fine. I have a new Panasonic Smart TV and thought it would make sense to set it up so I can watch Netflix. The order went through, and a small flimsy router was sent through. To cut a long story short, it didn't work. The TV connected to the router fine, but the router didn't have the power to do anything further. The instructions didn't include Smart TV (only laptop, mobile, etc) so I assume it was never intended for it. I also discovered that the router needs to be near the TV - it was in the hall, but even with the door open there was still no signal. One instinctively knows when something isn't going to work and after three days I gave up. 10 phone calls later I finally managed to find someone intelligent at the PO cancelled the broadband on the basis that I was mis-sold it and that I had paid for something that could not be used, and that it was not fit for purpose. I believe what the PO offers is not suitable for Smart TV's and it should be explained at point of purchase. I also should have read the reviews prior to receiving the router - I had two weeks to do this, but didn't think I would have to, as I trust the PO. Not so much now, I have to say. Very disappointing.

If only I had read these awful reviews before I transferred my broadband and phone from BT to the PO on 12th January. I am experiencing the same as everyone else and the general service is diabolical. I cannot continue or I will have a breakdown, my nerves can't take any more after just a few weeks. I have today sent a recorded delivery letter stating that I am cancelling my DD with them and returning to BT. I am paying more than I have ever done for broadband as I have no service after more than 20ft in a bungalow, so having to keep buying more data for my mobile. 4g seems my only way of using the internet. I have to use my printer using the IP address as it won't print from devices. If the PO wish to take me to court for cancellation, they can, I don't care, I cannot put up with this dreadful service any longer. It is they who are in breach of contract as they are not providing the service that we are all paying for. I wouldn't have the PO broadband if they offered it to me free of charge. I am ready to challenge them. If you value your sanity, please avoid this company.

Balls. Big hairy ones. Better since getting fibre as actually do get decent speeds but whether it will actually work or not is another thing. Quite often just cuts out, refuses to accept password etc and a lot of the time it’s nothing to do with anything my end, it’s them. If the communication was a bit better and they just put out a tweet saying what was happening and why (“Sorry for the problems in wherever, Frank just pooed on the console and we’re clearing up the mess), they’d probably not seem half as crap... they’re pretty rubbish via phone too as the main goal seems to be to keep you paying whether you have decent service or not. That’s business. Told my fella not to go with the bloody post office for internet, like going to Burger King for office supplies; it’s cheap for a reason. Lots of negs, just one positive; when it is working it can handle 4/5 devices streaming at once without much fuss. If it works.

I have only been with the Post Office for two months and due to the really slow speed and Wifi keep dropping, I am currently upgrading to super fast option. I really didnt want to do that because I moved from BT to PO for a cheaper package. But having signed up for 18 months I am now stuck with it. Once of the most disappointing aspects of them is, I use a Macbook Pro and not only could I not view my bills online, I couldnt get any of my account info to load until I uploaded (downloaded?) their virus protection system. This is daft because Apple have superb firewall protection anyway. Also, I have emailed the help people several times now because I have been charged £58 x twice to activate the system. Trying to get that one payment returned is becoming a nightmare. Phoning the help line is also difficult as the call handlers dont seem to understand what I am saying. I will review again once I have got this muddle sorted and the faster broadband is up and running. But, at the moment I think I will be returning to BT at the end of my 18 month contract. Disappointed, but to be fair, I will hang fire for now.

MOVING THE ACCOUNT BETWEEN ADDRESSES
* 12hrs and rising over 10+ calls trying to sort issues out
* 2 callbacks promised and not made
* 7 dates given for go live - all missed
* Order is now 6 weeks late and not fulfilled
* 6 weeks without service and they wont offer any compensation for loss of service and earnings
Post office have provided hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever witnessed. They have missed callbacks, missed service delivery dates, always say the matter will be updated tomorrow (literally every time we call) and continually blamed the matter on BT Open Reach (I am an IT Engineer and sat with the engineer who talked me through & verified everything). Wont let me cancel as the order is still in process but cant give a time for delivery (and will be forver at this rate).
Avoid like the plague.

We need negative ratings. Pathetic & time wasting. Took 4 days after connected to come up, dropping out 25 times a day. Speeds less than 1 Mb (0.54Mb, 0.88Mb, 0.61Mb, 0.37Mb, 0.24, 0.15, 0.0 Mb etc). Nigerian customer service who cannot speak clear English. Best average around 2 Mb, and I'm only less than 1.5 KM from exchange.

I have been with the Post Office for around seven years now. I have to say I've stayed with them because they are cheap. I've always found the customer service poor but I've eventually been able to sort out the various problems I've had over the years.
I've had numerous issues with the landline for making calls that have all been fixed with no extra cost and also was charged for transferring my number when I moved home without being told there was a cost (after weeks of complaints this was finally waived).
The broadband has always been quite slow and intermittent at times but I've always gotten by with it.
Recently they have stopped sending my quarterly bill to me and I am only finding out once I've had the overdue letter through the door. This time I received nothing at all until they have put a call bar on my landline.
This is the last straw and I would seriously reconsider if you are looking to start a contract with the post office.

I don't normally leave feedback and even less so negative but PO Broadband definitely deserves it. I was transferred from the Fuel Broadband service when they sold it to PO Broadband and so I was locked in for 18 months. That's finished now so I'm off and I wouldn't recommend PO Broadband to anybody, even my ex wife. Good riddance to both of them, they are both useless and expensive.

Do yourself a favour and do not entertain post office broadband, connection is that poor, we cannot even undertake a speed test, neither can the post office tech team. Customer service either cut you off or try to fob you off. No one in the organisation takes responsibility for dealing with the issue, it's always someone else's problem. Lost hours and hours of my life trying to deal with the breach of contract.

The most terrible Internet service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Slow speeds. Random disconnects. As soon as one device is steaming Netflix / Youtube etc, you have extremely slow speeds on other devices. Wifi randomly shuts off. Weak signal when more than 2 metres away from router. What an absolute disaster. Warning! Stay away from this pile of BS.

Furious that I pay for fibre and still get a cheap speed that constantly buffers. Customer service do not help in the slightest and tell lies. I was turned of today even though I paid my bill at the beginning of the month I was even told when I called that he could see that and does not know why my internet was turned of he said he had gone straight to exchange to get it lifted within an hour 3 hours later still not lifted so my boyfriend called them and was told I called today paid the bill after the restrictions no I have proof from my bank it was at the beginning of the month and k was told that by the previous customer service rep. But then the second one said the first one had not spoken to exchange so therefore it would take 24 hours. So I went mad no way I paid my bill and should not have been restricted. He now says he definitely has spoken to exchange and it will take 2 hours to lift no I want it on now I need it on I'm furious. I will be speaking to the ombudsmen if it isn't on in 10 minutes.

NOT RECOMMENDED...Have just about finished the year I signed up for, can’t wait to leave, it completelycuts out a lot, daily a few times for several minutes, the advisors seem to think this is usual. Previously talk talk this wasn’t common. Router is their own rubbish one you can’t use yours,
I hated it as soon as I joined on a bargain deal, not worth it and should have left immediately. They told me it would improve after a couple of weeks. I spent the first months endlessly emailin* them. They kept calling me by phone eg to give me passwords etc in work hours. Made billing mistakes, not got a clue.Totally BIzarre. Website horrendous, old fashioned rubbish. Aaaarghh. Happy to leave it can’t be worse.

After trying for almost 8 weeks to have PO phones do a home move to my new address, I gave up. I was promised 2 different dates for my internet connection to be live, but it never happened. Just excuse after excuse .I then arranged to move to BT but PO phones cancelled the transfer without my authorisation. When I complained, I just got a load of waffle ft

We were switched over by Post Office broadband to high speed fibre-optic yesterday, which required a new router. We use four Apple computers in the house - and every one of them crashed as soon as they were connected to the new router. And by crashed I mean absolutely jammed up solid - we couldn't run diagnostic and repair tools, and the computers couldn't even be shut down or restarted. It took an entire day to work out how to get the Macs running again - and then as soon as you reconnect the router it does it all over again. We've never had problems as severe as this with the Apple's ever before. The two Smart TVs in the house work OK via the router, and iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches, and a Samsung phone work OK via the wifi - but we now cannot connect any of the Macs to the internet without them jamming up completely again every time we try. So we're having to rely on a couple of iPads for accessing the internet until the problem is resolved - if it can be resolved. We may have no other choice but to switch to another provider. There is obviously a major compatibility issue with the routers and Apple computers. One of the Apples won't even start up at all now and has the 'blue screen of death' even when disconnected from the router. Not only that but the broadband keeps cutting off constantly even when using the devices which still work. The reliability of the service up until this has been increasingly diabolical too - cutting off and slowing right down almost constantly. I wouldn't recommend this ISP to anyone - and especially not if you're an Apple user - and you don't want your Mac 'killed'. It took a lot of technical skill to get them functioning again which may be above the skill level of most people - and what use is broadband if you can't use it to connect to the internet at all. I recommend you use ANYONE ELSE except the Post Office if you have any sense. They also aren't answering their phones - and their service website has said 'the site is being updated' for sixteen hours - which does not instill confidence in their company service standards. I have NEVER encountered problems this severe with any service provider EVER before.

Don't sign-up with this lot: their modems are poor quality and unreliable; their customer services is non-existent and they are totally incompetent into the bargain. I did without broadband altogether for most of last year and the promises I got from the Post Office for customer services to contact me; engineers to call etc never materialised. It took me hours of hanging on phones which aren't ever answered promptly and writing e-mails which often weren't answered at all before I was able to diagnose the problem myself: the original modem I was provided had given up the ghost and a replacement one didn't work. Six months at least without a service but they still took my money. I have gone to the Ombudsman about this but they are not much better although I have got at least a fraction of the money I paid for a non-existent `service' refunded as a result: the Post Office would have refunded me precisely nothing...

Signed up in january and day 1 it dropped several times. After weeks of calls and no call backs, sending emails 5 or 6 times a day whenever the internet dropped out and a hand written letter to their head office, i was guven 60 pounds in comoensationa nd told "theres nothig we can do about it". They're lwtting me transfer to another company without penalty which they 100% should do. Their service is awful. Not a single customer service agent ever passed along any of my calls and not a single manager called me back until last week. Oh' they also told me their routers "get tired". They have now been bought over by Shell of all people but i can't imagine the service will get any better. Stay well clear of them.

Anyone who gives money to Post Office broadband needs their head looking at. Terrible, terrible service. I had three weeks of hassle trying to get my phone and broadband installed. At one point the technical team asked me to contact BT myself and ask what the problem was. I replied that I wasn't a BT customer (this was news to them).
I kept being promised calls back which never came. In chasing I kept being sent around the houses.
Having cancelled my order I lodged a compensation claim for the hassle caused and the work forgone. The offer doesn't even cover the costs of calls to Post Office chasing up the problem

Broadband constantly cuts out, showing only a red flashing light. Told to change filter still no improvement. Your lucky if the internet works in a different room to where the router is. When speaking to the customer services team for a second time they told me I had cancelled my account and then changed their story to me changing address, neither is true and when speaking about cancelling my account there was multiple attempts at guilt tripping me into staying. Appalling customer service.

I came across a "Deal" with PO Broadband while looking at alternatives for a friend who is paying through the nose with Virgin for a service they really don't need.
My internet access at the time was through my phone's 4G on GiffGaff paying £20p/m for unlimited calls/texts and 20GB Data.
I researched the PO Broadband, read the disparaging reviews but I figured for £15.90p/m for unlimited downloads I'd risk it.
I went through the sign-up process online, until it got to the credit check where the site basically froze-up. I closed my browser and thought that was that.
The next day I received an email thanking me for choosing PO Broadband, and provided a link to complete my order; which I did.
I received plenty of love-letters and texts from PO in the days that followed, and about a week later my Chinese ZyXEL AMG1302-T11C bottom of the range router arrived!
I knew I was taking a chance with the PO, and knowing that the service is basically run by TalkTalk, I obtained an "old" but far superior Huawei HG633 "Super Router" from a friend who used to be with TalkTalk.
I went live with the PO Broadband on Friday 25/01.
It took quite a few hours for the ZyXEL router to update with my new account settings.
During this time whenever I tried to use the internet my browser was being redirected to www.fujitsutr069.co.uk/cpe.php with a message stating I needed to login to use the internet.
I sent a msg to the PO via twitter @ po.st/I7EbNu, and they responded quickly stating that all I needed to do was install the security software.
I manager to download the software, which was "Fujitsu Internet Security 2013"! Needless to say, it wouldn't even run after installation due to services not being able to start. Now this may well be due to me not uninstalling my usual AV software (a product updated for 2019), but I'd rather keep my trust in a product that I know rather than a 5 year-old unknown!
In the end I didn't actually need the software, the redirection appears to be due to default settings in the router, and once the settings were updated I was able to access the internet via my browser.
I then backed-up the router settings, opened then .cfg file, retrieved my new Username/Password and entered the details into the Huawei router, connected that and I have been online ever since.
My speed is in the ball-park of that stated in my estimate, however downloads, and I pretty much mean ALL downloads appear to be throttled to about 10% of available bandwidth! This may be in the caveat that they say speeds may increase/decrease over the period of 10-days while they find the best connection... Doubtful, but I'll see...
Upload speed is a joke, both times I've run a Speed Test I'm getting just over 700Kbps! Again maybe this'll change in the coming days, but as it stands it's pretty woeful.
The following day, I received an email stating my bill was ready; I was unable to click the link in the email to take me to my account page as they had missed the "s" off of https:// in the hyper-link! A sure sign that the PO's attention to detail certainly isn't in their "Service".
Logged in to my account, went to view my bill, and nada; the site uses Adbobe Flash, along with pop-ups on it's billing pages!!! Firefox wouldn't have it, I had to use Edge in the end to make the payment!
So, in summary:
You get what you pay for, in this case cheap = inferior & outdated hardware & software; however if you prepare a little you can mitigate some of the impact of the PO's poor choices.
I haven't had any service outages, and when I contacted the PO via Twitter they responded quickly, albeit with inaccurate advice, but I expect people are just doing what they are told like good little sheep, unquestioning in their mindless pursuit of trying to obtain some disposable income...

Despite all the appalling reviews I have seen online, I decided to go with Post Office broadband (ordinary ADSL) because it was a fantastic 12 month deal. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Switching went smoothly and on time. The speed is always in excess of 7MB download and often over 8MB - the supposed upper limit! Previously, no supplier has ever given me more than 6MB. The online account manager is a well designed and functional web site All in all, I am a 100% satisfied customer ...... I will stay with PO as long as they don't excessively increase the charge at the end of my contract ....... I do like haggling and have no worries about switching utility suppliers.
