    I can not believe how this company is operating in this country. They are worst of the worst.

    I ordered my B&B in June ( they took first payment straight from my bank next day), next few weeks was sent update emails that there is delay from openreach ( mine is a new built propety) , calling them is so frustrating as long queues to answer.

    31 August was my go live date, router arrived couple of days ago, an engineer showed up on the day did his bits outside , came in plugged the router to a socket and said it will take it to 24 hours to get the broadband up and running. I thought we'll let's just wait 24 hours as I had waited two months patiently but guess what no internet after 72 hours. I called technical support , got a person on line after half an hour of waiting , she asked me to open wall socket and connect to inside socket. I checked but there is no inside socket within that wall socket so she said she is escalating it to technical two support who would run few tests on the line. I waited more than an hour listening to sane songs over and over again then got frustrated and hung the phone. Called again and spoke to customer service ( after 15 minutes) , she apologised but said she can't get me connected to a technical person and I have to wait in the queue to speak with one. I asked for a call back and she said she will email technical support to call me back. 2 days and no one called. Tried calling myself twice but hung the phone after 40_45 minutes of waiting.

    Today 3-9-17 at 10:10 I called technical support, got to speak to a person after 25 minutes who listened and then transferred me to technical two support. I have been waiting for an hour now ( whilst writing this review) and no one has answered it yet. If and when I speak to someone I don't think I will get anywhere ( considering other reviews here) , I will now see if I can move to some other broadband provider.

    Take my sincerest advise, don't be fooled by the price tag. This company is a joke but at your expense.

    The speed is slow and the connection is unreliable. The customer service is like nothing I've ever seen before - you can wait on the phone for literally hours before someone answers (DMing via Twitter is best). Also, incredibly they managed to change my IP by mistake so it appeared I was in the Netherlands! Whilst this is great if I want watch things that are normally unavailable to me on Netflix, this is also very helpful in other ways! When I contacted them about it their response was pretty much "yeah stuff like this happens all the time, haha!". The customer service representatives themselves are very nice and generally helpful also the cost is insanely cheap. But if I could do my time again, I certainly wouldn't go to them.

    Worst ISP. Disconnects multiple times per day. Router came with the wrong settings. Customer service is appalling. Ignore all attempts to get the voucher promised. Avoid for your own sanity.

    I will NEVER use Origin again, even if it's free, even if they pay me to use it. It's not a service, it's a liability. It loses connection several times a day, ( in a good reception area ) Customer service is a waste of time. I won't bore you with the countless times my internet has failed completely and it takes hours on the phone to sort. I foolishly paid for a year, but I don't care, I've joined Sky today and Origin are history. Origin, your a RIP OFF and not fit for purpose.

    The worst company i have had to deal with. Paid £279.99 upfront. Waited and waited for an installation date never come so I cancelled it. Waited with batted breath for the refund as they do not respond to emails. Finally got the refund thank god. I would not touch this company with a barge poll again worst experience ever avoid at all cost you have been warned 0 STARS not costumer friendly at all.

    They changed my phone line but made what they called an error and never set up any broadband on the line. We were charged nearly £150 to have no internet for 2 months. Customer services has been non-existent and I am still waiting to be refunded after receiving absolutely no broadband.

    I hate this broadband, because we had it 8 months and it doesn't work properly during the whole period. We waisted so many time on the phone with them. I couldn't work properly with such a broadband! I can not upload nothing and they couldn't resolve this issue (even after 100 calls)! Going to cancel this terrible support!

    Writing this using my mobile 3g as hotspot! Interrupted service with poor customer service, unable to leave the contract 30-40 min on hold everytime I speak to them. DO NOT USE

    Speed no where near what was advised, been on hold over the past 2 days for over 3 1/2 hours trying to sort. Over the 4 calls keep getting told I need to speak to tier 2 support and then left on hold for over an hour with no answer. Finally got through to find out they have put me on the wrong broadband package and even thoigh im paying for faster speeds im on the lowest speed broadband. They cant fix as the office is closed and will get someone to call me back tomorrow. Fingers crossed as they promised a call back today and i still had ring up.

    Worst internet service provider ever. Customer service is very misleading. They told me they will switch my telephone line and broadband from previous provider, they did not do this and later I was charged from two ISP's

    Switched from Talk Talk to Origin in July 2017 with a promise of ADSL up to 17mb. The maximum download achieved using Origin is never more than 5.9 mb. Talk Talk Down & Up was a couple of Mb faster. It seems Origin use BT openreach so in reality there is not much of a free and open market in the UK as BT wants people to use there equally slow FTTC whilst they fail to bother to upgrade the copper / ally cable network.

    I'm lost for words. I can not believe any company would treat clients so badly. I ordered the broadband on 31st, was told that I can get fibre optic, so I did that, waited for two weeks, did not get an installation date a response, or anything else, got completely ignored. So I called them up and they said it's a technical issue they do apologise but I will need to wait another two weeks to get this installed. So I asked them at that point if this is due to the fact that there is no fibre optic available where I live, and they said no definitely not, it will go through this time. So I thought ok, I already paid I'll survive for the two weeks. Two weeks later, still no-one got in touch with me, giving me a date of the installation so I rang them again only to be told, that they can't provide me with fibre optic, and that I can take out their normal broadband deal, but still have to wait another two weeks for that. Got offered a compensation of a month free if I get that. Hilarious!! Obviously they ignore all the emails you send, so I will have to ring yet again (I'm on hold for ridiculous amounts of time every time), to cancel on them. SHAMELESS!

    If it were possible to select no stars that would be better! Switched online on 28/6/17 took payment successfuly and 6 weeks later received nothing. Our own provider cancelled as requested our service and on calling origin ( and waited an eternity to talk to anyone) they admit our order was not placed!!!! Best they can do is place it in the next 24-48 hrs!!!! From there it would take 10-14 days to set up. Called plus net our previews supplier who got us up and running in 9 day. Not always about price they may seem cheap but service shocking and left us with no braodband and told lies on the phone as to the state of the line. Shocking service

    It's been a month since I ordered Origin Broadband and I still haven't even received an installation date. Tried to call twice before work and put on hold for 30 mins with no response both times. I have since emailed them twice and still no response. Worst customer service I've ever had.

    I would give no stars if possible, never received such a bad service if you email they ignore you I have spent hours on the telephone trying to get trough. Money taken out of the bank and no service provided, day light robbery.

    My router was set up and didn't work, when I phoned them for help I was left on hold for 2 hours then the calls dropped, emailed several times with no reply and tried texting the company. Still no word back, however took my money with no service. Do not waste your time with this company.

    Worst and misleading customer service that I have ever experienced. They Will take at least an hour to answer when you ring customer service. Very unhelpful staff with no knowledge about the industry. Never trust them by just seeing the cheap prices they offer. They will definitely give you intolerable levels of hardship.

    Unfortunately I have trapped in an 18 months contract with Origin broadband+land line. I pay £29.99/Pcm for the maximum speed (76mb) but are experiencing internet disconnection frequently. The only way to ask for technical help is calling there service centre!!!
    Very poor customer & technical service!
    They keep you on hold for more than one hour to listen your claim!
    It takes a few weeks to send an engineer to solve the issue. They claim base on the contract they have 8 weeks time to resolve technical issues!!! So you have to appreciate if they resolve it earlier than 8 weeks!
    Their web site has no customer service at all. Just advertisement!!
    They have no parental control/child safe mode and don't think it is necessary for home users!!
    I don't recommend it at ALL.

    Service has been awful since swapping to Origin from BT to save money. Line rental's included but what I wanted was a reliable broadband service. I haven't had this at all. Downloads are at a snail's pace and worst is the connection fails at least 3 or 4 times an evening. Been through so many calls to their "support" with this so irritating voice at the other end whilst the calls have been on hold for ages. No change though. Reported it to OFCOM a month ago but they haven't come back to me. Don't waste your money on this scam company. I'm going to switch back to BT or move to Virgin now, even though I paid up front for a full year.

    I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH A COMPANY AS POOR AS THIS BEFORE.4 HOURS TO GET THROUGH BY PHONE. MY INTERNET KEEPS GOING DOWN. I SIGNED A CONTACT FOR 16.99 X 12 MONTHS FIRST PAYMENT WENT OUT ON 15TH JULY BY END OF JULY THEY TRIED TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT FOR AN ADDITION 40 THIS WAS NOT IN MY CONTACT AFTER TRYING TO DEAL WITH THIS FOR OVER 6 HOURS I GAVE IN RANG MY BANK EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS FRAUD AND MY BANK HAS STOPPED EM ACCESSING MY ACCOUNT.... PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS COMPANY WILL ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT AND TAKE WHAT EVER THERE LIKE PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN SIGNING UP AND GIVING YOUR BANK DETAILS OUT.     Just transferred to Origin broadband and line rental and getting through to customer service is a very, very long call with a frankly irritating hold messenger. The hold music is OK but as you wait a longtime it is on a loop. The second query was rectified regarding a debit made which should not have been but left feeling mildly aggrieved as on both occasions the situation could have been avoided with better communication from Origin thus negating the need to wait on hold for over 30 minutes.

    Customer service awful (don't follow up as promised, long waiting times on phone) fault unresolved for over 6 months and still can't get origin to fix it. Internal wifi connection drops out all the time wireless network communication problems i.e chromecast dropping off network as router dropps out. I get annoying emails every month asking to set up a direct debit, the email says to reply to it if you have any q's but its a no.reply email address. Thing is I dont need a direct debit because i paid up front for this awful service.

    I foolishly paid for 12months broadband in advance and the service received in the first month has been pathetic. Around 2mb download speed on good days and regularly no broadband at all. Previous provider was Fuelbroadband who supplied a regular 7-8mb download but they were taken over by Post Office and price doubled hence the move to Origin. What a mistake!!!I have telephoned and been on hold for ages. Technical advice and support is useless. So far no response to my emails requesting a refund.

    3 calls this morning on hold totalling 2.5 hours. Modem provided not getting wifi anywhere outside of room. No internet at all during bad weather. They are providing some wifi boosters but it took me all morning to get them out of them without being charged.

    I was on this site 12 days ago recounting my problems with this company I was prepared to overlook the aforementioned problems slow speed etc, with it being new maybe it needs to settle down ? not really sure what that means ? have things got better no.or worse no ,its still the same sent 2 emails last detailing problems etc.no replies .I am not alone it would seem reading this company reviews on this site I might try a different router ,could wire it ,could do lots of things but whatever I do its going to COST why are these companies allowed to provide us with shoddy service ? my opinion has been formed by reading accounts of lots of ISP providers some well known some not so well known it seems like a lottery getting a 5 star service ( if one exists) the speed checker device on this site I've used it several times speeds o 0.25 Mps (wow) ) I turn off router wait 5 minutes take test again 5.5 Mbs why ?anyway to-day Monday all is well ,still had no response to the aforementioned e mails will I ( will eckerslike )bye folks

    Do not use!!! Poor service throughout my experience they took over 6 weeks to install my internet connection. Additionally, now I have internet it drops connection every evening!!!

    If you try and call them for anything be aware at least a 20 minute wait and even they they are useless at helping you with anything or tell you the wrong information which has happened to me multiple times.

    Although they are cheap I strongly advise everyone to not use them!!!

    Absolutely shocking download speeds. Went in with a standard contract that I had running with Fuel Broadband and getting a modest 5 mbs down. These jokers can barely get to 1-2 mbs download. Terrible!

    Paid for a year upfront, don't even have the telephone connected so I knew I would have no extra charges... First month, lo and behold an extra charge! EVENTUALLY sorted and refunded (a month later), meanwhile every morning a reset is required, most days back from work... oh look a reset required! Told by their technical team, it's because I only have the basic line, yet I've had the same speed and specs for a year with Fuel Boradband with no issues at all (only reason I left was a big price hike) so I know that's untrue! My phone simply hates it and rarely connects if it has the option of 3G/4G, so I have to be careful with my usage there, streaming from Netflix is... well, ummm.... don't even try anything HD you won't have a chance, SD it kinda works eventually, just be prepared for all the buffering breaks. It's got so bad I've given up and written off the loss of the rest of the year and gone elsewhere (most expensive year ever for broadband, thanks Origin!)

    I joined yesterday. No broadband at all. I've been on hold to tech support for 1.5 hours so far. Worst service ever. Wish I had checked this site out first before switching. Now going to cancel. Are there any decent broadband suppliers out there.... What a way to spend a Saturday morning. Very frustrating.
