This company is absolutely unbelievable, took over when my old provider went out of business made mistakes. Customer service advisor are either not trained or a bit dim. Had to ring every month for o check why they keep charging me more than my plan when I haven't gone over my data or used my phone. fed up and only been with then 3 months. I won't be renewing in 18 months. Rubbish companythey should stick to delivering letters.

    Absolutely appalling!
By far the worst broadband I have ever experienced (or even heard of).
I can get up to half a megabit on a good day but in the evenings the speed drops to 20 kilobits, if it works at all.
Don't be fooled by deals that sound good - post office broadband isn't worth having.
    You have been warned!!!!

    Utterly useless!!!
The claimed "UK based call centres" cannot speak English.
The "Post Office" is just a virtual company using their name to generate an income. They are in the final death throws of their name having made one abysmal decision after another for decades. They sell their name to be used by other utterly incompetent organisations. This include things like banking which is actually The Bank of Ireland.
I have spent several hours on the phone and the internet trying to buy their broadband package and failed. Absolutely nothing works!
The web site is useless and tells me once I have saved my information details and return to place the order that as I have an "account", which I don't, I cannot re-enter the information and I need to log on using an Email address and password which most certainly do not exist. The idiot third world helpdesk, not only cannot understand anything that is said to them, but insist that I have entered up information on the web application that I most certainly have not entered.
Complete and utter dysfunctional rubbish that prevents me from even signing up.
Thank goodness I spotted the reviews on this web site.
From my own research, if you want a low speed service that is managed properly, you will need to spend several pounds more per month to get a better "help desk".
A "business" really can't get much worse than this!
It's obvious from recent reviews that the "Post Office" broadband, or at least the real broadband company behind the name, have recently "done a deal" for even cheaper "help desk" staff behind the scenes in order to prop up the profit margin.
Sadly most other companies have followed the same behaviour. This includes Virgin who can now cut off an essential service to a business for five days without any ability to address the problem by their off shore "help desk" for five days. Another automated price rise means they want £34/month for the service!
Hence my looking for a better supplier.
It obviously is not the "Post Office"!

Worst company I've ever had to deal with in 26 years.
Rock bottom customer service, after nearly 6 months I still have not received my welcome pack, despite requesting it 9 times, also have the spelling of my name wrong, no bills get sent to me - all I get told is that I can view them online and if I read my ( non existent welcome pack/contract) it tells me how to do so on there. As a result, I've had my service cut off once due to an unpaid bill - paid immediately as soon as I received a nasty threatening letter - it seems they do know my address after all!!!! So why no welcome pack or contract????? I don't even know the terms and conditions of my deal as they continually fail to send it to me.
I've had my line fixed twice now as it didn't work, and now after having been cut off and restarted again it runs at an unusable slow speed, told to wait three days to wait for it to catch up! A catalogue of mistakes and utter uselessness from the post office - and their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Stay well away from this useless uncaring company as they are incapable of helping you or sorting out problems in any way - shame I can't give them minus marks actually as it would be minus 5 stars - they are honestly that bad!
Find a reliable, trustworthy company instead as the post office will not give you anything like what you ( quite rightly) expect. They are utter rubbish!!!!

Looked at the reviews here after I'd ordered and feared the worst, especially after a disastrous attempt to switch to Sky nearly 2 years ago. Actually it's worked out really well so far. I am saving nearly £150 per year and I am getting the same service. Went to bed one night with old provider, woke up next morning with the Post Office, plugged in and everything has been fine. 10Mbs is what I was getting and continue to get - it's all I need so I'm happy with that.

Cut my phone off because my bill was going to be more than usual ,not knowing I'd sold my business and was now
using this phone much more .Customer Services said it was
    their 'legal responsibility'???
Have now gone elsewhere after 13 years for ONE SIXTH
    of the cost !!!
Am now having problems with getting a final bill.
I would suggest all the result of having systems running
    a business rather than humans
As a communications business the Post Office Telecoms
typifies the modern desperate state of faceless business.
    Look elsewhere !!!

No stars. We were 'slammed' by this absolutely horrendous business. Basically they took over Fuel Broadband, didn't tell us and took double out of the bank account leaving us short. We were furious so waited an hour on the phone to speak to them got an apology offered a credit and a £21 plan, that they were emailing.... still nothing that was two months ago! Next bill was £38 quid! Bunch of absolute sharks... we emailed last week! No reply! Going to block them through the bank and report the thieving scumbags!! Absolutely shady. Is it even legal for money to be taken without knowledge that the POST OFFICE BROADBAND has taken money from the bank account with no authorisation?

The phone service is fine, but the broadband speed in the evenings is rubbish; a THIRD of a Mb if I'm lucky. Often the speed test times-out as the speed is so slow. It used to be better, but the Post Office blame a lot of users in the evenings and say they can't improve the speed. I will leave as soon as I can face changing my email address. Foolishly I set up a postoffice email address, which I now regret.
Don't use them if you want broadband that works.

Been with them since 2008 had 1 faulty router replaced within 3 days of reporting it. Since 2016 several problems with phone & Broadband connections caused by OpenReach. A phone call to POBroadband quickly & efficiently diagnosed faults, set repairs in motion and due to the number of occurrences gave a 1 month refund for inconvenience. Speed may not be fastest but adequate for me, Reliability seems to be down to OpenReach connection problems on telgraph poles and under the pavement not PObroadband. I have told OpenReach they have broken my connection before they left the pole but it still takes a call via POBroadband to get them to come back & fix it. Neighbours on BT service were equally frustrated by the number of faults and pay more for the service and had no refund.

Please please please do not go with this company unless you want a headache. Post office is good for posting and nothing else ! Honestly....the worst costumer service and the slowest broadband ever! The only reason I’m with them is because my provider Fuel gave up and sold out to the post office. I’ve inherited a nightmare. I currently have no broadband for a week now and all I get told is, they will reboot it, which they can’t seem to do. They’ll be quick to send the bill though I’m sure. Huff!

Terrible customer service. Waited over 1 hour still didn't get through to technical support. Yet when you want to pay the bill it's less then a minute to speak to a representative. I have had nothing but problems with my internet. Spent hours on the phone running though the same thing over and over. Never reply to emails. Honestly my advise would be DO NOT and I repeat DON'T NOT take out broadband with the post office. You will regret it.

Was transferred to a new provider. By my old one (fuel). The service now is dire. I tried to phone them on Friday 29th September. They kept cutting my calls off. I then tried on my mobile and got though. Was either transferred to another dept or they cut me off. After telling them I wanted to leave their service. I was told that I had successfully managed to stay with them. Said no I didn't want to stay with them. Was told I had to phone up again and cancel
I said am on phone now. And a lady called Shaz in the the special care team just laughed and hung up. I asked her previously is she could put me though to a manager? Was told there was no managers working there! Then the day after I got a thank you letter for staying. Dire, what is going on? Anyone else having issues with them?

Zero stars. Zero morality. I am a pensioner and full-time carer who left Fuel Broadband immediately on finding that PO Telecom was taking over and planning to double my basic charges of £20.30 per month, violating my Fuel Broadband contract which had fixed them until November. I had to change my phone number of over 40 years to escape from PO Telecoms. Despite doing this, PO Telecoms sent me a leaving bill for £42.77, presumably to cover the few days it took me to get out, and now have Rosie Peters of CREDITLINK ACCOUNT RECOVERY SOLUTIONS threatening me with “more severe actions to recover the amount outstanding” with “recovery costs … added to the balance significantly increasing the outstanding amount”. Shameful. I look forward to beating them in court.

After 8 weeks, 3 engineers, 26 phone calls and 9 hours talking to their help desk we still do not have a working telephone or internet connection. In all those phone calls I have not once spoken to the same person. They appear not to have the systems or processes to deal effectively with technical issues. I will have to give up next week and try another provider and suffer the extra delay.

I haven't had an internet connection since the beginning of September. I have phoned numerous times and are promised new routers, line tests, return calls and engineer visits which never happen. The staff couldn't care less and keep blaming me. I have had all the wiring from the front door to the router replaced so it isn't this. I am at my wits end so have emailed the CEO. I'm not holding my breath though. Steer clear of the Post Office and their services.

If you are thinking of taking out broadband with the Post Office, please think again. I don't often post reviews but given the appalling service I have received, I wanted to make sure others don't make the same mistake!
I moved house recently, so needed to transfer my broadband over to my new address. A simple task made difficult due to the archaic computer system that insists you phone up twice; once to cancel the contract and a second time to actually start a new contract at your new address. Apparently it can't cope with making more than one change to your account!
They insist on you taking out a new contract and in my case a more expensive one!
Once moved, I had to phone again to ensure things had all moved over. Unfortunately, there seemed to be some problems and I ended up phoning every day for a week to try and get it resolved and for my broadband to be moved. I sent countless emails their customer service with no reply, and nobody seemed to be able to actually tell me how much my new contract would cost.
Once I did have the service, it was dreadful. If you try and watch catch up TV the connection drops out, the internet is hit and miss and you have long periods of no service at all.
I contacted the customer service and was told that unless it dropped below 1.8mbps they did not log it as an issue. Also they recommended using the ethernet cable if I wanted to connect to the internet rather than wifi.
So, I am paying £23.00 per month for very little service. I can't watch catch up TV, the internet is almost unusable and the phone line crackles. If I terminate the contract I have to pay £250.
If I could give zero stars I would, because they don't even deserve one.

Don't bother taking out broadband by post office in a word it is shocking. Changed to Po from plusnet last November from beginning my speed dropped to dial up equivalent and has never improved after many complaints etc jumping through hoops for po sending them speed checks there response was fault laid with my house! Bearing in mind with plusnet the internet worked fine I've not moved and not even brought any new devices this is the biggest load of Rubbish p ever heard. What the po long term goals are is beyond me as I and every other customer will leave at the end of my contract (they won't let u leave early even when they are not delivering what they promised! And will never use this firm again and of course I advise anyone never to use them. How this is good business sense is beyond me and I truely hope they end this part of there business soon as they do not have any ability to offer a broadband service

Have had service at 2 different houses now, with 2 different routers and multiple filters etc. Constantly resetting the routers because the connection has dropped. It can't be the line.
Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and probably ever will. They can only go through one step of a procedure every 24hrs and are utterly disinterested and unconcerned. Generally they mess you around on the phone for hours and finally say. Oh yes we see the problem, lots of faults on the line etc and it all works for a little while. Thats after blaming your hardware such as the filter to give themselves more time. It feels like they switch it to fibre or something for a bit to get you off the line? Anyway the service is a complete Joke and has been for years.
I'd be ashamed if I was the post office but I'm not - and they obviously couldn't care less. Hence I am taking the time to warn everybody else.
They even offered us the chance to get out of the contract and then changed their mind lol. And they also told my wife that we "HAD" to take out another 18 month contract when we changed houses. Thats the level of credibility we are talking about here.

Switch over from fuel with no warning and didn't find out until internet stopped working.
When they couldn't fix it after hours on the phone I was left with no internet for a week while they sent a new router.
Internet works but cuts out frequently, after a week of this I rang them again and was transferred to a number of departments until it was decided an upgrade would solve this and a new router would be sent in 3-5 working days.
I waited 10 days and made yet another call to be told that my new internet wouldn't be going live until another week and had to wait for my router until then...
Over a month of this, it would of been easier and faster to cancel and find a new internet provider.

I was switched to PO Broadband when Fuel gave up, costing me an extra £8 per month. When I asked another supplier if I could keep my number they could not find out. So I tried PO Customer Services and after waiting 30 mins was told that for email confirmation I would have to email the PO and wait a week, as they did not have access to email themselves! I was offered a cheaper deal if I would sign up for 18 months, but with service like that I do not want to.

So disappointed with post office broadband, changed from fule & was told nothing would change. I was misled, the speed of my broadband is now so slow, can't do the things I use to do before change. Takes so long to download things like Pay Pal before transaction is completed, time is up & it cuts out. Can't watch video clips, keeps on stopping & have to wait for it to restart, so just give up. Everything is running so slow, had many different broadband from various suppliers but never had one this bad. Was told when I complained at start of service it would pick up after few days, two months on still at snails pace.
I am stuck with this rubbish service for 18 months even though its been miss sold & not as promised. It in no way matches the broadband I received from fule, I would never advise anybody to have Post Office Broadband.

I was also a fuel broadband customer, When I was informed that I would be transferred to POBroadband at almost 2X the cost of fuel I arranged talk talk as a new supplier. I told fuel that I did not want to go toPObroadband. My TalkTalk service was activated on July 11th. Imagine my shock to discover that PO had direct debited £32+ on1st September. I have spent ££'s on phone calls, I can't use the free number. I have written to them. PO insist that thhey are providing me with the service, but Talk Talk is definitely connected on the only lline into my home. No they say I can't cancel except by calling, what??? and spend £££'s in a queue to cancel something I never asked for.
    bahhhhh, useless company ..

Totally Useless if you want to access bills etc having a Kindle Fire or basic windows mobile that does not support Adobe flash player. It is impossible to view your account, I have complained repeatedly but I am stuck with pobroadband for 18 months - I was with Fuel Broadband and was switched knowing none of PO's short comings. I am not prepared to pay extra for paper bills. It is their failure and I believe all customers should have equal access to their accounts, I am awaiting a response to my latest complaint.

Absolutely disgraceful.Appauling customer service.I was with the brilliant fuel band and never had a problem.since post office took them over my internet connection is off everyday,i have been passed to every department and spoke to everyone except the cleaner.I was told by one team member that they refuse to send out an engineer as its not that much of a problem. Its been going on for well over a month now and i still have not had the issue resolved. If i pay £142 they said they would send an engineer.DISGRACEFUL.sick and tired of being fobbed of by this company.Avoid at all costs.

I have written to the CEO Tim Parker re my appalling service. Waiting for a reply. How do I find the names of senior shareholders as I plan to inform them of the really, really awful service. Have contacted POBroadband 45 times in 12 months. Their apologies are absolutely worthless. Indeed they are insulting. Must have had over 100 apologies! One single kept promise would be welcome
