Totally useless, just had an automated message on my mobile saying my bill was overdue, explained it was paid via my bank over the counter ten days ago and three days before its due date. Wanted me to photocopy the receipted bill and send it to them as proof of payment!
Not fit for purpose, connection is terrible I intend to contact offcom to see if I can get out of my 18 month contract, come back B T all is fore given!

Just want to thank the patient people who guided me through everything today. Found them so polite and helpful makes us sure we will not change our broadband provider. Please pass my heartfelt thanks on to them, they are much appreciated.

The broadband is awful. This weekend has been the worst ever. Every 10 minutes it's cutting out. I call them and it's "ok" for about a day but doesn't last. When you call all they do is a quick fix. I'm receiving 10MB and when you look at other providers that is nothing. This past week I've called 3 times. I can't wait until my contract ends in 6 weeks.
    Watchdog will be contacted.
If you buy anything cheap, it's usually rubbish and won't last. So spend a little more for a better service is my advice.

My PO broadband speeds were deplorable. Tests made using the PO recommended checker gave as low as 0.1. Totally useless. I stopped the bank standing order and found an alternative provider(Which using the same checker indicates 6 to 7) I have been harnessed by PO for money £272 +, threatened with bailiffs, had blazing rows. Finally they have withdrawn all outstanding charges. They now tell me that they have learned by their mistakes. Let us hope so for the next customer who is unfortunate, as PO states, to have an incompatible line.

We were with the post office for 6 months for internet and phone. The phone we had no issues with. We had to wait a month for connection due to the engineer not bothering to turn up and then being told that despite it not being our fault we would have to wait another 2 weeks for a new appointment. The internet has been awful since we were connected - constantly dropping out on occasion for a day at a time. I would not recommend them at all, we will not be returning to them and have since signed up with another provider who so far are proving much more reliable.

After complaining about horrible speeds and then realising I had the phone cable plugged into the wrong place, customer service helped me out and my broadband is just as fast as the broadband I had with Sky. I assume it varies by location but I get good speeds here.

This is on behalf of my mum. she has been with these people for quite a few years now. The broadband speed has been pitiful throughout. However there was a period last year (late sept. to Feb this year) that she had no internet at all. They claim their systems had been hacked and a fix had been sent out. Mum was in hospital during the time of the fix so it wasn't fixed. The bill arrived, she paid it except for the £26 broadband portion as she had had no service. She has a lifeline system in case she falls at home (she's 82), regardless, they cut off the phone because of the £26! She had also rung them and talked about it and someone was supposed to be looking into it. The more I read about them, it makes me wonder how a bunch of callous thugs like this are allowed to remain in business. Caring Britain eh?

When we joined about 4 years ago, they were very good for service and price although the speed was slow. Have been asking them to do something about the wretched service for over a year. They say there must be a fault somewhere in the physical line before it reaches our house, and I can only assume the potential expense of locating it is the reason they do not bother. The helpline people are generally snarky and aggressive and nobody will take our complaints seriously. Shortage of alternatives is the only reason we are still with them. Forced to take unwanted landline as in very rural area. Internet drps off from anout 3.30, and is often unuseable at peak times in the evening.

Unbelievable lows in respect of product and customer service. about 1.9mbps, may as well be dial up. Continually lie about giving you call backs to help sort out a solution. Mention cancel in contract and they immediately trot out that they meet OFCOM standards and as such there is nothing they can do. Clearly all agents are well briefed on this. Annoying thing is only under contract as moved house and remained brand loyal. Offered to put me on a fibre trial at more money to see if that helped. No guarantees offered though. I asked if this would start a new contract length, they said yes it would. So to attempt to get anywhere near a decent speed I have to pay more and gamble that it delivered, otherwise I am locked in longer to a more expensive white elephant.

Switched to Post Office Broadband in 2016, as a response to BT continually upping their prices. I think I've made a mistake. The broadband is about as slow as it can get without actually stopping completely. Customer service is reasonable, once they've answered the phone - which can take some time.

Slow speeds often under 0.90mbps, can't watch any video even tiny ones. Drops out several times a day. raised 5 tickets, each one says its been fixed but it hasn't. Not impressed, I will have to go back to plusnet as soon as i can escape, but took out 18month contract. When on phone to tech they seem very attentive and say they will call back but hey, they don't! poor - such a shame i had hoped they would surpass the giant BT but no, just cheaper..

Received this broadband and have had a long unsatisfactory journey with the post office. Started with not receiving our router until day 15(one day after the cooling off period had ended) then had a further wait before the router would even work. In the meantime we had received our first bill for a service and product we couldn't even use.
Following this within a week we had called them up complaining about how slow the broadband was. They suggest doing a speed test. Attempting to get the details to carry out the speed test was like pulling teeth. Then finally we are told we need a laptop and have to hardwire it in order to carry out the speed test. We have I phones. We don't need or require a laptop and so don't own one. What's more we genuinely don't know anyone who owns one. We were met with a bit of confusion here as to what we had to do next.
Following this we are met with the cold shoulder. We were hung up on twice when we attempted to tell them we wanted to leave the post office as the service was shoddy, unreliable and slow. The internet would switch of and on. The router would just do its own thing really. Then we are told that we would have to pay the full fee of over £200 in order to cancel our contract with them. We told them they hadn't delivered on their service and wouldn't be paying it. They have since contInued to follow on with their actions and have sent us letters asking for the full amount!!! They have got to be joking!!!!
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER HE POST OFFICE!! USELESS UNRELIABLE AND SNEAKY

Moved from BT as thought a better deal for unlimited broadband. Speed is very slow and I keep getting disconnected. Cannot access my account on line by my IPad as I do not have adobe flash player installed! Why do I need Adobe when all I want is to access my account and go paperless etc. Would not recommend and will change provider at end of contract

I got Post Office broadband in on 9th December, and as I write this review today on the 5th February I still don't receive a service. I have lost count of the number of times I have phoned up for assistance, only to be fobbed off. I have been told three times that an engineer would be sent out within 3 working days.... I'm still waiting! If anyone is thinking of signing up to this service,my advice would be DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER IT. Pathetic service and pathetic customer care, and that's me being kind.

The most awful broadband supplier ever. A month of speeds at 0.3Mbps, before they agreed to allow me to leave without charge. Still they are trying to send me a bill of £220 for early termination. I have paid for broadband for 4 months now and they refuse to refund the broadband charges I have paid. I now have approx 30Mbps with Origin Fibre for the same price (exactly the same telephone socket!)

I would highly recommend NOT using post office broadband, I am sick to death of the wifi going off every 10 minutes, it's slow, unreliable and I can honestly say it's the worst, absolutely appalling, I pay everything on time and I'm still having to cope with a rubbish broadband. I am a student and it is vital that I have good internet access with all of the assignments I have to do. I definitely will be going back to BT, it may be expensive but you get what you pay for!!

How I wish I had read these reviews before signing up in August last year! The broadband speed is appalling. I have phoned several times to complain, the latest being last week when I was advised to submit three speed tests per day for a week through their support website. I followed this to the letter, phoned today and was told none had been received! Was also informed would have to pay £140 if I wanted an engineer to come out to check. In five months I have rarely been able to watch anything through my android box.Terrible service. Avoid at all cost.

First off, Iv'e been with broadband for many years (Since 2009/8) Which, i will admit was easy going and no issues up until around 2014. The speed's is Horrible, and Should not be sell able in my opinion. I have given chance after chance. (My speed Fluctuates well below 1mbps and 0.09 Upload) Im disgusted at this service, Avoid this service And go to a better provider. The router also decided to stop working at random intervals. and has to be rebooted. Im going to be swicthing over to BT Infinity in the coming weeks to get away from all this. The only decent thing about PO Broadband is the fact that you may, if your lucky enough will get someone who can actually help and NOT waste your time! Also, if you go over your usage limit your speeds drop horrendously! I mean, they give you Horrible speeds when not capped, and they have the cheek top cap you lower, even though your already under 1mbps. Im absolutely done with this company! Avoid like the plague

The availability of Internet services is so limited it unbelievable. After suffering for nearly two years with limited services and no actions taken by the Post Office I can only say avoid the broadband it's worth paying a little more with another provider. Customer services have several stock phrases and rarely deviate from it. Do not consider this supplier.

I have had no internet for a while now. I was late paying my bill. But it was paid in full on friday 13th january 2017. for the amount of £48.70. It was paid by visa so it was an instant payment. I have rang your VERY rude customer service twice. once on saturday 14th january and once on monday 16th january on saturday i was told it would be back on with in 36 hours. When i rang monday i was told i was still going to have to wait further. Most possibly until wednesday 18th january 2017. WHY do i have to wait 5 days to get resumed service? Most companies have it back on with in 24 hours. When my bill comes at the end of the billing month i want those 5 days payments refunded. I do not see why i should pay for almost a week of having no connection. This is not acceptable. Yes i was late with the bill as i had cash problems. But i still paid the bill as soon as i could and i think this is discusting service. I have had this problem before having to wait 3 days to get my service resumed. I made no complaints as i know i was late. That being said. I can not help if i have had cash flow problems. I HAVE ALWAYS sorted things as soon as i could and i want that to be recognised. I completeley understand the restriction and cut of service until a bill has been paid. That is common sence for a company. But i also believe as soon as your customers side of the bargain has been met. In which MINE HAS BEEN. they should be treat as well as any other customer. I could not help my circumstances. You may not understand that. Your probably a millionaire with no cash worries at all. But i am not. I am just an ordenary person in an expensive society trying to make the best of a bad financial situation. i need reconnecting the internet is mostly the only form of communication i get as i have MENTAL HEALTH issues which stop me from from going out and communicating. I have nervous breakdowns when im in public situations that i can not handle. Saying this. i still need to communicate or i would be compleatly alone. I do not appreciate this at all and i seriously want every day you have made me become a social leper by having no internet refunded off my bill total at the end of the month. your company is disrespectful and so is your call centre. This is not acceptable.

I don't know what's happened to the Post Office, but I certainly would recommend AGAINST choosing them in future. Initially, 2 years ago, I dealt with mostly good Call Centre staff, (excluding their insistence on paying by DD, which I refused, having already been paying by S/Order instead, perfectly efficiently).
Over the last 6m-1yr, my internet speed, accessibility and freezing has become progressively worse, to the extent that I have lost very important work, missed priority deadlines and been unable to access valid pages when necessary.
The latter response of their Call Centre has been "change the white 'adaptor' socket lead", "unscrew the wall socket and plug into the socket inside" (which also happens to reveal bare wires in doing this), "run the speed test websites yourself" (despite not having internet access), "borrow someone else's pc/laptop" and "if we have to send an Engineer out, it will cost you £140"! (This doesn't count the times they tell you to do the standard reboots, checking of leads, turning power off, unplugging and putting your pen in the hole in the back of the router... ). I have still been left with no access, have had to pay to visit local Internet Cafe, missed deadlines for online payments and applications, (NEVER received an apology,) nor received replies to numerous e-mail queries when fed up of calling "Support". Think they must have moved Call Centre overseas as nowadays there is a distinct lack of communication too! I shall now, reluctantly, have to seek phone and broadband elsewhere.

I have had post office home phone and broadband package for over a year now and I can honestly say I can't fault them.My installation was free and was sorted out very quickly with text message updates. The landline is great and I have chopped and changed my call package several times (via my on-line account) currrently I pay £4 extra a month to have free anytime overseas phone calls....amazingly good value!! The broadband router looked a tad flimsy and cheap when it arrived but astonishingly it has provided consistently reliable internet (we watch Netflix every night).....am I the ONLY satisfied customer on here?!!
