Just awful. Every day it drops out for hours on end. I've had a few days in a row where it does not work at all. Every day I have to reboot it several times. Customer support was good. They reset it from their end, gave me a new router and even got BT to change the telephone wire. However it just never works properly. Avoid at all costs.

Hopelessly slow and intermittent. To cap it all when the router failed they refused to replace it as I was "out of contract".

Changed to Post Office Broadband in the end of October and really regret doing it. The connection is unreliable and almost everyday I have to restart the router. It's very slow also, PO promises between 2 and 4 Mb/s but it's very rare that I get a bandwidth greater than 1 Mb/s.
The support is a joke, it's very difficult to get through to someone, usually it takes more than 15 min before we get to an engineer and they are not prepared nor technically skilled for the job.
Very poor service overall and I really recommend to stay away from PO broadband.

Changed to post office a month ago since then I have experienced nothing but trouble with my internet speed I cannot do anything with it. I rang their helpline to no avail after about a 15 minute wait each time the person(s) that I spoke to hadn't got much idea first person I spoke to told me to dismantle my incoming telephone socket & if that didn't work go on the internet and do a speed check 3 times a day for the next week and forward it on to BT . The second person informed me that she would do a line test which I was informed it was ok then I was told she had increased the speed to a much higher setting so I did a line test and it was no different from the 2.5 I have been receiving all along,I was also informed that if an engineer had to attend there would be a charge of £140 of which I would have to pay if I wanted to resolve the problem. I think I was told this in order to stop me complaining too much . If anyone is thinking of changing to post office for their internet (DONT BOTHER ) I cannot believe I've got to endure this poor service for the next 18 months until my contract is finished.

Rubbish - unreliable connection - slow -
Routers which dont work
cannot connect to my email
Voicemail is unreliable
Hidden connection costs
The only reliable thing is they never fail to collect the money
I would not reccommend this service and I have the premium package!

Just been without a landline or internet for 16 days, all without explanation or adequate compensation. It took 13 days of recorded messages ("thank you for your patience") before we got through to a real person on the "customer care" line and an engineer was called.

We've been with the Post Office for over two years now and contrary to many other reviews, we haven't really had any problems (touch wood, I hope I'm not jinxing myself here!). We're in a small town. We regularly stream Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. on the TV or PC with no problems; downloads on the PC are fairly speedy; and my son plays hours of online gaming such as League of Legends generally with no problems. He has complained about unacceptable lag if he is in a game and we try to watch Netflix but otherwise no issues. We regularly have two laptops and a PC running at the same time, all watching YouTube or skyping etc. I've only given four stars for reliability because we have had the occasional short period (a few minutes up to 20 minutes) of either very slow running or total unavailability for no apparent reason, but this only happens 3 or 4 times a year and hasn't really been a problem. In general we are happy enough with it. I haven't had to deal with Customer Services but don't recall having any trouble getting it installed in the first place.

The worst broadband supplier I have ever had.
Customer service non existent they do not understand the meaning of service.
Broadband speed less than I used to receive in the 1990s on a dialup service.
Broadband reliability is a joke, There is no reliability. and it seems the Post Office could not careless about service or customers.
I have complained since the start of the service about the speed and power or lack of it of the wifi router supplied, no one bothered to contact me to resolve it, since then complained via resolver had a pathetic reply that they had problems affecting thousands of customers and they were in the process of getting things sorted but giving no idea of how and when, no apology no offer of compensation, The complaint was made via resolver on the 1st Dec 2016 and is still not sorted, In my opinion the Post Office is the most useless broadband supplier in the country.
The service is so poor I would not recommend the Post Office for anything.

Broadband has been slow from the outset but accepted this as we live some way from a town. it appears that other providers are much quicker, even in our area too.
Customer service is also very, very hazy with disinterested and aggressive call staff.

Do not go for Post Office Broadband - prices are put up as soon as you are in a contract the coverage is very very poor - go with BT and get a good service for the cost you will end up paying with the Post Office unfortunately I read the reviews after I entered into a contract which was a very stupid bad move.

Utterly disgraceful service. Nothing but problems since day one. the technichal helpling is a joke as the staff have little or no training. They constantly mess up bills and take more money then meant to. And to top it all off, the internet provider isnt actually Post Office at all it's Talk Talk. If they had been honest about this from the start I wouldn't have joined them.

Absolute rubbish! I've had 5weeks of intermittent service now and it's a joke! Sometimes I can stream movies and tv and then seconds later I cannot even open a Watsapp! I've made numerous calls and spoken to lots of useless staff who, quite frankly, don't care. Youre constantly put on hold and required to do stupid 'routine' tests EVERYTIME (Even told to 'turn it off and back on again' because clearly I wouldnt think of that!) Put on hold for 40 mins at least each time before you can speak to anyone and then they constantly threaten to charge you for callous fees. Thank goodness my contract expires in a months time because I will be cancelling and (attempting to) get back some of my losses... I had to increase my mobile data and stay at work late to enable my kids to use work computers to complete coursework etc. And as I have no landlines I had to call from my mobile! They are absolutely rubbish! I cannot recommend them enough-steering clear, that is!
Honestly! Just don't bother, unless you want to waste your life on hold and frustrated!

So many negative reviews on here!!
I joined 5 months ago and have had no problems. So many people don't understand how broadband works saying slow speeds etc! Its BT openreach who cap speeds, if you're on the talktalk technology you will have better speeds as it's new. same speeds as talktalk, sky, plusnet etc it's all the same network!
Customer service is good, could be better, it's cheap, reliable, and pleased with how much it costs me. Can't complain! :)

Shockingly slow "Premier Broadband". Used to get 4Mbps from BT, now getting 0.8Mbps from Post Office. It really limits what you can do. Customer service is non existent. Spent hours on the phone listening to their so called "music". Gave up in the end. No response to my emails either. I would strongly recommend one of the slightly more expensive options.

When I first began with PO a few yrs ago they were ok...a helpful Welsh customer service. This yr my internet has been off for 4 out of 12 months with no compensation. It takes TWO HOURS to get thro' to them by phone. They NEVER return calls. They ask you if you want to do a customer survey after the phone call. I always press YES, but there has never been a customer survey...I'm not surprised they don't want to hear the truth about their appalling service.

When you have a problem, no one to talk to....on 4th call land and 40 minutes later, as by magic, help at the end of the phone, problem solved in two minutes. I would like to give negative stars for customer service The tickets that you can raise on line to request call back are worthless, raised 2 but NO call back. I bet the CEO do not use Post Office for his/her broadband. Cannot wait for contact to finish, the bye, but who to??? Grumpy.,

Disaster!
I should have gone live a week ago before the the very cheap looking router they sent was faulty. Spent an hour on the phone and they agreed it must be the router. Send me another then I said. Nice, policy is near the to do anything on the good live day, even though they agreed ed that the router was at fault. So had another hour on the phone having the exact same conversation. Eventually they agreed to send another router but it could take 3 working days to arrive. Bear in mind that this is the post office!
After a week no router so another marathon phone call. I'm told that they aren't sending a router but an engineer has tried to call me. I have no missed calls! I eventually realise I'm getting nowhere and ask to speak to a manager. I'm cut off!
Been trying to reconnect for 1 hour and 14 mins. "We are sorry for keeping you waiting, we will answer your call as soon as possible". What a big mistake I have made!

I wish I'd never suggested this broadband provider to my partially disabled Mum. A nightmare from the beginning setting it up, and now we are into day 7 and she still has no broadband as they said that there is a BT outage problem affecting not just them, but other main broadband providers. I am going to negotiate trying to come out of the contract for her, all she needs it for is to send me an email and to do her food shopping. Very very poor experience, we are going to another provider.

Probably the worst decision I have made to switch providers to PO. Was totally fed up with BT especially after they hiked rates and couldn't/wouldn't enable fibre to our house after they advertised that our exchange (400 yards away) had been enabled. At least with BT I could stream Netflix which I can't with PO. Sometimes better the devil you know!

The worst decision ever to sign a contract with post office. Moved my flat and requested customer service to change my connection and they tolfd me that it will take atleast 6 months that was a complete joke and I have to pay £200 which I agreed to pay but they were short of staff to change my connection. Yesterday i paid £194 to recovery company. If you want to join post office internet please put some extra cash in your account to pay.

Switched to them about 3 weeks ago but unfortunately they have not managed to get broadband working. Currently only getting under 1mb and often not even that. Having to switch to another provider shortly. I must say customer service staff have been extremely helpful, patient and courteous at all times, unfortunately let down by the technology.

Shocking customer service!!!
Left me without internet for over 4 weeks in total(over a 3 months period) and still made me pay bill....without a sorry or compensation .
download speeds are dreadful.....it's quicker to light a fire in your back garden and send smoke signals instead.
. when you do phone them they will keep you on phone for nearly an hour every time.
Hold your heads in shame po... shocking customer service!

Nothing to worry about really, I changed back to Post Office after a couple of years with Talktalk, never had any major probs until this weekend, when, along with everyone else (or so it seems) intermittant router failure to connect with the system. I too have been cut off by them when trying to phone. I notice someone else managed to speak to them and was old it should be back to normal in 72 hours - hey ho !!

Feel Conned ! If I had known that Talktalk provide the Post Office with their internet service I never would have agreed to contract. Feel completely conned. Have filed a complaint but apparently the Post Office are within their rights not to make it apparent that they are in fact Talktalk ! Service staff really incompetent and rude and even told they couldn't help as I was contracted with Post Office. Ever feel you are going round in circles? Anyone out there considering PO broadband - don't do it!
