8 days after my go live date still no broadband (thank goodness for tethering)still not got my own phone number just one they give me. I have never spent so much time and money (over £20 so far) on the phone in my life trying to sort it out. I have never spoke to so many people and passed from person to person and department to department its The biggest mistake Ive ever made since the dial up days. And now i was told this evening someone will contact me as they cant put me through to the person dealing with my case/problem and all this hassle to save £1.90p per month ...

Initally up to 6 Mb/s, but deteriorated since and recently as low as 0.3 Mb/s which is practically unusable. Costs less than BT but very much a case of 'you get what you pay for'

From the outset of my broadband order this has been a comedy of errors, why I ever decided to stick with it I don't know. Perhaps it was their degree of flexibility over the term time and the ability to leave after three months without incurring any termination fees as I was already a landline customer. The landline service was pretty good.
Communication from Post Office is simply diabolical. They simply don't have the decency or energy to follow it through. It took approx 6 weeks to get my home connected and in the end I decided against it. Not even was the router delivered on time.
Communication is their BIG downfall, no one knows who anyone is; they don't follow requests through, you have to chase it.
While the prices may seem attractive especially if you have their landline service, don't expect a sterling service with broadband connection if your experience any difficulties.
I cancelled the broadband service altogether and the landline will be going soon as well. They now wish to chase me for cancellation fees after all of the difficulties I have experienced.
Unfortunately their brand has been severely damaged as a result of this and I see Post Office as a wide range provider of different services. The small independent shop owners with post office counters will suffer even more because of comments of poor service from utilities like this. Best avoided if you can.

I have been with the post office several years and have had very little problems with them, until the last year. They have put the prices up, I tried to speak to customer services to speak to them about the cost, but a machine told me the call rate was so high I would be better to hang up because the chances are I would be cut-off. So I e-mailed them and asked them to call after 17.00, but they never they left a message to ask me to call back. I e-mailed again but no response. Over the Easter weekend we had no e-mail tried to phone again, same response. I am seriously considering looking for another provider but I have looked at the reviews for most providers and all of them have more negative then positive reviews. Are there any providers out there who are any good?

I cant comment on broadband speed or reliability as it was never fitted, they gave me 2dates never seen them or a modem. When I cancelled because they broke the contract they want cancelation fee, and threaten you with debt collectors, they are the most evil inefficient disgusting company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. And I will fight on keep away from it at all COST

AVOID! I cannot believe I am writing this! It took a week to get connected and now it is connected it's off more than its on! Customer services are pleasant when you call. But clearly reading through a tick off list! Several times now I have had to unscrew my connection box to try second plug! Engineer replaced faulty cable that was in my starter pack! Every day at least 6-7 times connection is lost. Sometimes for hours! It's a terrible service!

Months of horror. Turns out despite checking before hand that infact an IP stream was only available so after taking my money, which I am still trying to get back, I could only get 0.3 Mbps . Disorganised customer service, endless waiting, line going dead, complaints just in a circle of nothing and no conclusions. Can't complain enough.....dreadful from being to end and still out of pocket. Don't touch the post office, even my parents are out of pocket and very upset....worst company to deal with probably in this country

I have been without email since last Thursday afternoon. When I contacted customer service no-one seems to know anything or if they do they are not telling. Some of theoperators were quite rude. I am changing my operator.

I have stopped receiving emails for the last three and a half days to date. PO Broadband customer service said that it is due to maintenance and should be fixed within 24 hours. Some hope! They haven`t even informed their customers what had happened either via email or on their website. Absolutely abysmal service.

If you like to leave messages and no answers NO EMAILS FOR DAYS you would be better with a two cans and string because both give no answers. 4 days no emails and no answers they should have stayed with BT and not changed to talk talk I suppose cheaper is better.I suggest everyone contacts OFCOM do not speak to post office they are useless,if they told you what problem was you might have sympathy but you can not because they keep it a secret.Has someone attacked system.

Email has now been unavailable since Thursday 24th March. Customer support are useless and arrogant. Apparently customers will just have to wait until Tuesday after the Easter Holiday weekend to have it restored.
You can figure I am now in the process of switching ISP.

Avoid this provider at all costs. The speed is consistently slow, the company does not reply to correspondence or complaints and fails to resolve technical matters. It provides defective hardware. It takes money from your account without explanation and fails to repay.
We have now changed to a company that provides the promised speed and reliability, is always available on the phone and by email to answer any questions and all within the agreed price.
The PO has ignored the fact that we have closed our account and keeps on sending bills for service it has not provided and now has instructed debt collectors to harass us for money that it is not owed.
The PO customer care is non-existent and incapable of actualy speaking with customers in a reasonable, effective and curteous manner. It produces inaccurate bills and keeps on sending bills weeks after we had moved our account elsewhere. It provides defective routers and then asks you to pay for the defects.
In short this provider is nothing but hassle to deal with, it is unreliable and untrustworthy.
If you wnat to avoid troubles and want speedy relaible and inexpensive internet connection and courteous customer service do not go to the Post Office.

Because BT perform maintenance for the PO, their website is often down and therefore you are unable to access your e-mail account - sometimes losing this service for a whole day!
The Post Office are antiquated and have useless, unknowledgable custmomer service operators.
I'm going elsewhere

I regret this decision so much, we joined with them 6 months ago, our router was delayed getting here then they set back our date for another 2 weeks despite me pleading that I am starting Uni and need internet, then for the price and hassle they offer the slowest internet it seems in the area and the router is so unreliable we have to reset it every other day.
We;re leaving now but then we have a huge cancellation fee to pay up on which I think is ridiculous

Can't add anything that hasn't already been said. AVOID at all costs! Absolutely dreadful, slow, non existent internet... only given service 2 stars as the staff were always polite and tried to be helpful, not that anything that was suggested made any difference. Kept telling me their tests showed we had an average speed of 4mg, well why the hell is it unusable then!! Have just tried to cancel contract but told would have to pay £200 to leave! I thought PlusNet were a little slow but how I wish I'd never moved. Look elsewhere, don't touch with a bargepole!!

Was with PO for phone line. When 12 month free offer came up for broadband I called them. They checked my area connection=great. Sent router (idiot proof) set it up. Online. Not had ANY issues with speed or connection. (have waited a couple of months, still not dropped in anyway) Only thing is password given is wrong for new email, cant access my account online. Called for new password, got in, then next couldnt. Havent been anle to access post office email since. However everything else is fine. I would say call them, no complaints here.

It is the worst! The absolute worst! I read the reviews and stupidly went ahead! It's hell! Unless you're sitting in the same room as the box, don't expect to watch a video. If you miss a bill, ONE bill for 1 week, they cut you off and when you phone and pay immediately, it takes 4 days to re-activate. Customer service is a shambolic joke! You could not pay me to take out this line again. I'd rather have a sumo wrestler sit on my face. It is hell! You will want to die. It is worse than the terrorists.

I was a customer for a number of years before switching to Virgin. We were unaware there was anything wrong until we started getting letters from debt collection agencies. The post office are unable to send us a final bill and have written the debt off except they haven't. Every 12 months it's a new debt collection agency and customer services are incapable of doing anything about it.

I moved from TalkTalk in December as there service was bad but the post office broadband is like having the old dial up system its so slow even simply things like loging into ebay is so slow it just buffers and buffers for minutes and it cuts off on a regular basis, the good new is I only have 17 months of this contract to run. please don,t be a fool like me and be attracted to their monthly broadband price, its not worth it for the loss of speed

Awful. Really, really awful. Moved to PO from BT at the end of September. I've been trying to get out of the contract ever since because as soon as we switched, our internet speed slowed down to less than 1 MBpS such that we could no longer watch iPlayer, or UTube, or really even surf the internet. We had perfect internet for 5 years before that with BT (with a normal internet service). To be fair, their customer service team tried to help find the problem, but they weren't very good at it. Their technical teams didn't have the know how of the BT technical teams when it came to trouble shooting technical problems, so nothing ever changed. PO has, I think, finally agreed to release me from my contract without penalty, and I will be going straight back to BT.

Switched from Sky. Saving £17.50 for the first 12 months. Then £10 a month after that. Internet was off for about an hour while it switched over. Getting 10mps instead of the 8mps with sky. No reliability problems.
Had a small problem with the phone line (no caller display). E-mailed customer services who were useless. Phone customer services who were very nice and professional. Problem was fixed in 24 hours and they rang me to check it had been sorted.
Would be 5 stars but the virus software caused my Windows 10 laptop to need to be restored to factory settings to get it working again.
Overall would not hesitate to recommend Post Office Broadband.

Genuinely surprised to read the reviews on here. Switched to Post Office from the BT monster ages ago and honestly had no problems at all. No speed issues, been totally reliable and good value. Customer service a bit slow to respond, but that's about it...

Against my better judgement, and having read numerous poor reviews I opted for post office broadband three months ago and I'm pleased I did. The service was connected on time, has not let me down at all, and my average download speed with three devices connected at the same time is 17 MB.
It's true to say that BT have recently replaced all the exchange boxes locally and this may of course be the reason that everything is running well, but as long as my broadband is working that's what matters to me.
I'm a high user of the internet and all times of the day and night and over the last three months post office broadband has not let me down. I can't comment on customer service as I've had no reason to phone them, but overall I'm pleased with my decision to take po broadband.
