    The actual broadband was good. The problem came when we tried to transfer the contract to a new property. I’ve spent about 8 hours on the phone to them over the last week. You get passed around from one customer services person to another, being told they a different department needs to deal with the issue. They say they will call you back and never do.
    They cut off my internet 3 weeks before they said they would, leaving me with no internet when I work from home. Then they said it would take another week to reconnect us. It’s an absolute joke.
    Finally managed to get a refund after making a complaint, but then they locked me out of my account before I could retrieve the refund.

    Customer service is appalling.
    You wait for 30+ minutes to speak to an advisor and then they cut you off. They know your number, and email but they do not bother to get in touch.

    I've just happily paid talk talk 90pound to put me out of my misery and let me cancel my broadband and new view package (on the phone for 2 hours), After yet again another week without being able to use my phone or broadband and being told I would need to pay for an engineer to come to my house to carry out checks.
    This company is a joke it is never there problem was with sky for 2years before I changed and not one problem have now rejoined and they have also given me 90 pounds in high street vouchers, I wouldn't recommend talk talk to anybody just pay the extra pound a month and take your business to a company that wants it

    Security !! is my problem. In order to have a TalkTalk account I needed a "my account". The system at TT required me to do the normal password ID check. It would not work, after speaking to 12 people in the Philippines and spending a total of 3hr 28m on the phone, over 13 days. I was asked to clear cookies, history, different search engines, fix my windows 10, clear cache. stand on head, move my computer upstairs, I nearly gave up ! Then on the last call the my account was made to work, by giving the girl in the Philippines my choice of password, she keyed it in, at her end, I then received an email saying "congratulations you have changed your password". I then entered my em and password and I was into the system "my account" and it worked. THE Philippines HAS MY PASSWORD !!! I could nut create it. THIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE TO REPORT IT. I COULD NOT ACCESS ANYONE IN THE UK TO TELL. NO POINT OF TELLING THE PHILIPPINES ABOUT THIS ISSUE.

    Several weeks without broadband or landline, completely useless, have also tried blocking another provider from taking over. Have taken up with ombudsman and will also be taking them to court over non service whilst still charging me. Avoid

    started using talk talk,everthing fine for 6 months,then drop out after drop out ,they used every excuse from its your router to your filter needs changing,and even blamed a high amount of electricity in the air,I could see how that might effect wireless signals but I am cabled,internet finally stayed on after taking 2 weeks to sort out but dropped from 9mb to below 3mb this cannot handle my pc and a tablet at the same time,cant even run itv hub without constant buffering will be looking at bt tomorrow

    They don't even warrant the one star. I have had no Broadband for 6 weeks and have been to every team there is made complaints have incident numbers etc nothing has been fixed and Talk Talk are saying I cannot cancel - they seem to forget that NOT providing a Service is actually contravening the Terms and Conditions of the Contract. The whole service is shockingly bad

    To be fair broadband speed was excellent. However I was no fault evicted from my property and they charged me over 140 pounds to cancel. They 4ang me two days later and an aggressive sales agent said he could remove the fee but only if I set up again at a new address. Would not take no for an answer. I am disgusted and even though my broadband was top notch the diabolical treatment of me and my wife has left me adamant I will never use them again. Advice to anyone thinking of using talktalk? Don't do it.....

    I have been with Talktalk nearly 2 years. I have never been given the speed I was promised. I have an intermittent issue for the last few months where the line drops out for anywhere between 2 minutes and 1 hour.
    Over 2 months later, 4 engineer visits later and approximately 20 hours spent on the phone later it has actually got worse following the last engineer visit. I have also only just found out they have added £2 to my bill from this month going forward to include for call divert on my landline and I don't even use it and was NOT notified of this extra charge in any letters. I bet this will be a surprise for many customer. Also I requested a copy of all the engineer reports and talktalk have refused to give them to me. I will be taking my issue up with CISAS as my internet is still dropping out.

    Awful. Broadband spped is pitiful - can you believe a upload speed of 300 Kb/s ( yes, I do mean Kilobits ) and download of anywhare between 4 Mb/s and 10 Mb/s ?
    Customer services is based in India and some personnel are impossible to understand. They send text messages saying that they will ring at specific time slots and then they don't call.
    Absolutely APPALLING. I can't wait for my contract to end so I get some other provider.

    wow.. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.. where to begin?
    1) Wifi doesnt work. never has
    2)Internet worst ive ever had( worse than a dongle!)ps3 online - no chance, online poker -no chance ( once disconnected with me having AAAA and 2 people all in for an amount of money which would pay the whole service 2 years over.)
    3)no ethernet cable will work with the router other than the crummy 2ft one provided.
    4)they add things to your bill youve never asked for ( charged me 7.50 calls boost i didnt ask for and have never used the phone once in 3 months? madness)
    5)when you complain to customer service about the extra charges they decided you need to pay. they say what you want to hear and then charge you again anyway( happened this months bill too)
    6)when your direct debit doesnt work when youve agreed a 18.45 a month package, left 20 in the bank and it isnt covered coz theyve added 7.50 to your bill against your will they also charge you 10 fee.
    Absolute con artists, amazed how they are still in business. ill end as i started AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

    Not really had a problem with talk talk - just signed up for another 12mths with 6 months 1/2 price.
    Phone line was rubbish at first but they got an engineer here within a week (BT subcontractor) who arranged BT to fit new cable from pole - broadband has been fine since getting 14meg so adequate for my use. Will maybe upgrade to fibre when becomes available in my area. Was a virgin customer for many many years at previous address but wanted to pay less - you soon get up to £40+ per month with virgin or sky and this is too much for us - so talk talk has been a good substitute. I have a NOW box for the odd time I want to watch my team on Sky Sports (obviously better to not be using laptop/tablet at same time as streaming tv sports with a low download speed).
    So all in all satisfied.
    I think a lot of people's problems come with maybe bad overhead phone lines/connections so ask for a proper line check before installing BT/TalkTalk or even SKY BB.

    If Talk Talk was the last Broadband company on earth I wouldn't use them.

    Simply appalling on all counts! I really don't have one good thing to say about them. Anyone stupid enough to get involved with them.....I wish you luck, because you'll need it. I have never dealt with such a disgusting company ever!!

    Honestly disgusted, I first took out a contract with them and I asked the advisor plenty of times that the price will remain the same and he said yes, after 4 months down the line they started taking out more money then they had agreed on and when I rang up they said sorry and returned it. Another few months down the line the increased the price of my contract and said “you agreed to the terms and conditions which were the price could increase” and when I told them what happened a few months ago they said no it’s impossible. Over the 2 years I’ve been having some good service from the internet but most of the time it was really bad and I wasn’t much bothered as I wasn’t at home. These past few months I’ve been at home and the internet was really bad, I’ve been ringing up and sometimes they would cut of my calls and sometimes they would start doing same checks over and over again and say it will be okay now, if it doesn’t just ring us back. Few hours pass and I get same problems and I ring again and completely same process. Now my wifi has completely gone of and won’t come back on and I ring them up telling them it’s not coming on and I really need the wifi and the advisor says “the technician will get back to you within 3 working days which doesn’t include Saturday and Sunday”. Like what an absolute joke, really unreliable, untrustworthy, really bad communication with customer service and do absolutely nothing to help. The advisor said the best way for my internet to work is if I buy something which is £20 more for a month and that will help my faster become faster. That is just ridiculous, my wifis not working and they want me to pay more and most likely get the same problems as my other family members decided to take their advice and it didn’t help them 1 bit. If anybody is considering getting talktalk I would recommend you to definitely not to as you will keep having problems and it will really frustrate you like they have with me. I even told the advisor that the internet keeps playing up and it’s really frustrating as I willl be trying to work and it just goes of and stops working and it causes a big risk for my job. Another thing which is really frustrating is when your finally free and trying to relax and watch a movie or play video games the wifi will just go of or it will not work. I will never be using talktalk again and I recommend anyone else not to. My neighbours use virgin media and they have about 8 devices connected and whilst my wifi wasn’t here, I asked them for theirs and they gave me their password so for a few weeks my household was using my neighbours wifi which was a total of nearly 18 devices connected to it and not once did any of us have any problem. My neighbours were paying a couple of pounds extra but believe me it saved them the hassle and frustration I’ve been through with talktalk and that’s the company I will be going to now. Your welcome talktalk, you just lost another customer.

    Well you can't be satisfied with the Internet if you don't have any. We moved six weeks ago. "there's a problem with the phone line, Weil pass if on", they said (3 times). Haven't heard a thing. Promised me they would sort it out, and apologizeed, adding that they don't expect their customers to receive this type of service. Admittedly it's raised a bit of a bad attitude in me, as I wait, and wait, and wait, an email, letter even, they know where I live right? Very very poor service!

    Avoid at all costs!!! Been with talk talk a while always had problems since the start internet always dropping but this past month has been the worst ever.... no internet access since the 13th of March it is now the 12th of April engineer sent out he couldn’t fix it so I’ve cancelled my contract phoned up several times since the 13th March and all customer services do is ‘please bare with me while I run some tests okay’ NO it’s not okay stop reading from your script the past 30 tests done every time I phoned up didn’t fix my internet so why do they think another test would!!!! Sent two new routers out as I was told mine had a fault still no internet after two new boxes and an engineer attending saying my internet wasn’t activated at the exchange phoned talk talk apparently everything at the exchange is fine so I’ve just requested to cancel as you can free of charge if your internet isn’t fixed within 28 days from the day you open a complaint.... I don’t know how they dare put on tv award winning broadband.... it’s not award winning at all you have to actually receive an internet connection for it to be award winning.... avoid talk talk at all costs absolute rubbish service provider who fill you full of crap.......

    I joined talktalk and they where the worst company I have been with had to spoke to some one on the phone and later found that I had to contracts for the same address when I complained they ask me for£78pounds for to start a new contract which I already had then a friend of mine told me to join ee and after leaving talktalk they kept sending me a bill for the router ,since joining ee I have never had a problem with them and there prices when you take a contact they will give you a discount and found them to be the best I get the internet and my landline for £38 pound with discount £28 month

    Very poor service! ! Had no internet for 5 days , they tell me I had to wait in between 8 +1 yesterday so I did No one turned up I phoned them they then said between 1 and 6 no one came -- I took full day off so it cost me £150 + for loss of earnings - imphoned today their offered me £6 yes £6 !! Small claims court here I come

    I took a out an internet service with talk talk and found out after being with them 2 months I had 2 contacts with them ,and after talking to one of the team about the bad service I was getting the sent me an email saying that after I had spoken to someone at talk talk I owed them £85 pounds, this is the worst company I have ever been with and when I left for another company called ee they talk talk ask me to pay them for the router I sent back they kept this up for a least 2 years till finally I wrote a letter to there head office and then they sent me a letter saying I owed them nothing all I had when I was with talk talk was problem after problem ,since I signed up with ee I have never had any problems with them and I get the internet and landline like every one else at a reduced rate which never go ups avoid talk talk at all cost there worst company I have ever been with

    The worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with! I'm on the phone for at least 50 mins every time I need to speak to them, "Let me put you on hold while my system loads!' They must use an old Zx Spectrum! The customer service staff have no idea what the last member of staff discussed with you and so you are forever going over the same thing! They booked an engineer, phoned to confirm, told me I'd be charged and then didn't turn up. I then spoke to customer services, who made me check that the router was turned on, booked another engineer (who did turn up) to be told that the router was switched on but the internet isn't working. Another engineer was then booked as the first engineer said he needed to log the fault (telling me that it might be him coming back anyway). Spoke to a manager who offered me as compensation the same price that I was already paying!! He then booked another engineer and guess what...he never turned up and when I phoned to ask why, another agent told me that it wasn't booked in the first place!!! So...I have finally manage to cancel! I will never use them again.

    Only on 'essential' package, we first received 1024 kbps but now it has slowly decreased to 820 kbps. even help from engineer didn't help much......Very disappointing

    I am new customer almost 2 months but what is going on i dont understand. Signal dropping all days. When you complain they will check your connection withing 10 days. Basicaly thej just swich your broadband of for several hours a day. When you connected cannot get web help because in few minutes you are cutted again. Cant believe this is licenced provider. I cant run whole week without any issues. They cant provide what dthey promise. Totaly avoid and try good reviewed provider instead. I will keep paying up to 12months when contract finnish to avoid additional charges then i ll say bye bye stupid from talktalk

    There fibre optic is the worst internet I have ever used in my life. It constantly cuts out my videos will not load. When I play a game online it logs me out at least 15 times in 1 hour because the internet keeps cutting out. It won't run more than one device even thou they said up to 5! I can't run high quality content such as HD movies on netflixs. They said they would give me a no early cancelling fee. But they will still take my money from me for that month even thou the internet is very bad and they charged over £70 to sort and set up everything and I won't get that back. best mpbs 23 instead of 50 mbps and when I ran it before it gave me 8! what a joke of an internet save ur money don't go with this companies fibre o[tic the normal internet was better.

    Horrible Horrible Horrible company!! Stay as far away from them as possible!! using their phone and broadband service and suddenly everything just stopped working. No warning of work in the area or anything like that.

    logged a fault issue and was told I will be updated within 48 hrs. They updated saying due to vandalism on one of their cables, there was a fault with the exchange. A day later they got my phone line working. only trouble is they had given me a different telephone number. However, they still sent me a txt saying the problem is now fixed. 5 days had passed at this stage!

    contacted them again to tell them i still couldn't get on the internet and my line had been changed. They then raised another 'ticket' with the openreach engineers and was told I had to wait for an update. 3 days later still no update. Contacted them again, then was told that the engineers couldn't find anything wrong, so they were re-issuing the ticket. Got a txt saying an engineer will be dispatched to the property. I would knw the time of the visit in 48 hrs. This is now 10 days.

    As sooon as the line is fixed, I am cancelling my service with them!!

    BTW, this is happening right in the middle of the world cup. I watch TV online and do basically everything online. A complete headache!!!

    Their customer service is piss poor. They are more interested in arguing with you than solving your problem. A bunch of complete and utter incompetent twats!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

    they are just as bad when they were TISCALI. THE THREAT IS CALL FOR ENGINEER AND YOU END UP PAYING FOR SERVICE REPAIRS WHEN YOU KNOW IT NOT YOUR FAULT? your speed gets slowly worse, despite their statement they are improving local service

    Well I've had talk now for about 6 or 7 weeks now and I can honesty say they'd got be the worst broadband provider going, slow speed been in touch with them so many times about my problem still continues now, even had there engineer out and still not sorted, even he said they are a waste of time so that not good coming from someone who works for them and he said he could have his broadband for nothing but he's with virgin,I'm probably wasting my time writing this but you know, I would not recommend talk talk to anyone JOKE

    Don't pay anything if you want to leave talk talk if you have a contact order a new package then cancel with in the cooling off (14 days) period don't pay for broadband you'll never use.

    I had talk talk for literally 2 days before cancelling the contract. Started with my ringing to ask simple questions when my first call was greeted with what could only be a bit of juicy gossip with the girl next to her. After I said hello? A couple of times she eventually hung up to continue her conversation. How rude of me?! Rang again. Got passed to the technical team, he was pleasant but after a hour long conversation I still had no answer as to why my internet had stopped working. Booked an engineer to come out to me. Fine. Next day, I realised my first payment was due to come out on the day the engineer was booked. (So far I had about 3 hours worth of internet connection) well I wasn't prepared to pay for my first month until I knew the engineer was actually going to solve the problem. So live chat and two calls later (after being hung up on yet again! And no questions answered!) I'm finally fed up. If this is how they treat new customers how are they going to treat me when I'm stuck in my contract?!? Cancelled within my 20days which wasn't easy btw, lots of conversations with sassy advisors talking to me like I'm an idiot, going round in circles and offering to put me through to the technically team to look at my issue...NO IVE DONE THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH YOUR ATTITUDE AND SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE! and reading these reviews I'm glad I have. They are literally a mess. I've have got nothing from them but a few hours worth of broadband, a router and hefty mobile bill. I can not comment on the quality of the broadband as the engineer may have fixed the problem but there is not excuse for disgusting and messy customer service these days, especially when they are many many other companies that offer the same deals or better. Do not waste your time or energy.

    What an absolute joke! Have recently joined and since joining have had no internet service. Eventually got an English speaking engineer to come out ad fix the line, but now I've been charged for the whole time I have had no service from them, to add to the issues I have rung to discuss a refund they said that they weren't going to refund all the days the service was not available, after a 32 mins phone call waiting to be put through to a manager (which never happened) I rang off and called again, to be told that I would need to call back as their systems were down - laughable! The advisors are rude, do not understand English and very few can speak good quality English to fully understand the problems their customer base are experiencing - no wonder they don't have a very good reputation, and worst of all they don't care either.

    yesterday I realized 850£ has taken from my bank account. I called to customer service and after 2 hours security questions they said we can not find you in our systems and you have to call us again for security question.
    absolutely play with costumer.
    last month also my 12 month contract with £19 monthly finished and I called them for notice to cancel it but they changed my contract to 18 month with £25.50 monthly.
    we have to have right to cancel this rubbish broadband

    I moved from BT to talk talk my go live date was the 28 November 2017. They rang me on the 29th saying there was a delay and it will be live on the 30th. I then had a phone call on the 1st of December saying they are having issues and it will be the 12th of December before my services go live. I will never ever use talk talk again. I've spent hours on the phone and days without internet. BT have matched the deal and I'd rather in future pay £18 extra a month to know I'm getting a good service from BT.

    this is by far the worst broadband company you will ever pay for. do not buy into it. its rarely even connected and as a year 11 student who needs to revise i cannot because the broadband is so inexplicably terrible i cannot even reach google to access things such as past papers, mark schemes etc... talktalk you suck, if i get bad grades i hope you know you contributed

    Where do I start! Been with sky for 10 years and never had a problem other than the price always sneaking up. Talk talk is by far the very very worst company I have ever had dealings with! I would never as long as I live recommend them!!!
    I phoned them and got offered a good fibre an tv package, 2days later they call saying I can’t have fibre I’ll have to go with basic broadband then when it goes active call us up and we will then change it to fibre and tv it takes less than 24 hrs to do the change! 2weeks I waited for it to happen. Hours an hours of phone calls to them and never got a straight answer also there is a strong language barrier to the point where you can’t understand a word they say! They sent engineers out and said if I wasn’t in I would have to pay £65 but then they don’t even turn up, so I lost a days work an money but apparently that’s not there problem. This isn’t half of it I could go on and on. Please Steer well clear of talk talk!!!

    Very poor service in all aspects, customer service is pathetic, rude operates who speak over customers and fail to listen to customer needs and expectations. Broadband speed is slow and unreliable. Our phone line wasn't working for over two weeks and talk talk have the cheek to refund us just £2 in compensation. Appalling company with suspect security systems. We will be cancelling our contact. I recommend you stay away from talk talk
