    AVOID SKY AT ALL COSTS!!

Firstly I would not give Sky any stars at all if possible, I think negative stars should be added in Sky's case. I'm currently moving and went to cancel sky finally the TV, Phone, Internet, everything. On getting through to an agent. He was English and surprisingly really easy and nice to talk to, unlike any other time I've ever had to contact them like the 3 weeks I had no Internet and nobody English speaking to explain the situation to (asked for a new router, I was surprised when a micro socket turned up in the post and not a camel). Only problem was after 6 years being with them paying for terrible Internet speeds, he managed to lower my bill to as little as £27 a month which is over half the price I'm paying now. Then yesterday making use of my 31 day cancelation time I started a download of 17gb. That was at 6pm. It is now 10am the following day and the download is on 10.5gb. My dial up Internet was faster than this. I get less than a mega bite of upload speed and 3.3mb of download speed, though I was told if I go unlimited I would get up to 30mb. Complete robbery. The website only offers numbers that charge you and make you wait in a que for 4 hours before you et through to anyone. There is no live chat across the Internet like a chat live window. I would rather eat Ghandi's sweaty sand covered flip flop than go with sky ever again.

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND ONCE YOUR A CUSTOMER IN A CONTRACT FOR 18 MONTHS, DO NOTHING FOR YOU! BUT IF YOUR A NEW CUSTOMER YOU CAN HAVE EVERYTHING AT HALF THE PRICE.

    BE CAREFUL ITS A TRAP!!.

My husband and I have decided to switch to Sky broadband and it has been an awful experience. Their customer service is appalling. We have changed the router, the filters, etc and still the broadband is not working. On the phone, their representatives only answer the questions as a robot. They keep saying to us that we have to wait 72 hours to have it fixed but nothing happens. They are dismissive and unprofessional. We profoundly regret in changing our broadband service.

Shocking company with poor customer support. Customer of 20 years and Sky can truly stick there service as enough is enough, constant bad attitudes of customer services, all recent sport / movies moved to ppv / pay extra channels leaving pure garbage on subscription channels and then further insult is constant yearly price increase. Well done Rupert Murdoch, your puppies have turn into stray mongrals

It's been an nightmare to be on Sky Broadband - my current download speed is 0.1 Mbit!
Horrible experience, it happens so often. It is not possible to work from home at all being on Sky Broadband. Avoid. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

Shocking customer service. Told different things every call, and contradictory. Changed to EE on 20th Nov. They said they will tell sky. They didn't. Due to a ' fibre' issue?? So I paid the 28th Nov bill, to be told, call on or after 19th Dec for a final bill email, and I will be refunded accordingly. Did that today.. to be told I have a £49 credit due to me. But I must pay a further bill on 28th Dec ?, to receive the credit? Bonkers !

I am incredibly disappointed with this service. I could not recommend it less. Firstly, the earliest instalment date was 2 weeks on from when I booked the wifi. This was frustrating but I accepted this and joined the queue. I would recommend a better service as this is very off-putting to customers.

Having waited for two weeks with no wifi, at some extra costs:
    - A man to sit in out flat for the day of the 23rd, as someone has to let the engineer in.
    - All three of us have had to extend our 3G packages on out phones bills
    - And one of us, who should be working from home, has had to pay to work elsewhere.

The engineer arrived on time, thank you. However, he was unable to fix the wifi - he did not complete his job. I was never rung by anyone, no one told me what was happening. They just left the flat. Since then I have had no communication other than three texts delaying the instalment by another 10 days.

There is still no wifi, one flatmate is still paying to work elsewhere, our phone bills are almost double what I should be paying, and we will have to pay for someone to fit in our flat yet again.

I would like someone to be in contact with me as soon as possible. This service is shocking. How are you going to compensate for this?

Please don't buy Sky. It has the worst customer service. For home change request, it has been 2 weeks and I have not got an update. I tried calling their customer service and waited for 1 hr in queue but they didn't answer. Any ways I can disconnect this stupid connection? The post office broadband provides much faster service than this service. They even increased my connection amount from 18 to 20 £ without informing and on asking told they no longer have the service. They even disconnected my contract and put a new contract for 18 months once again

The speed of Sky Broadband is slow and the service is unreliable. I lost my internet connection yesterday and was told it would take up to five working days to be fixed. So no broadband connection for the holiday season and the attitude of their stuff on the phone was horrible. I would never use Sky if I knew this before.

Our Sky internet is absolute crap.
It harks back to the days of dial up.
We have to reboot the router at least four or five times a day. It is so slow, we can not watch anything on Youtube. Our max download speed is 0.1mb. The whole deal is rubbish. I shall be going elsewhere when I get the time to switch. Sky? Don't give them the time of day.

Unless you have taken a magic potion to give you a much longer life and have had a metal plate put in your forehead for banging against wall then stay away from Sky. Have given up trying to find out why they cancelled our contract although they have admitted it wasn't us who actually cancelled it.

Our whole entire contract with them the broadband has never given us what we should be getting. Contact center never answers the phones and then they do all they do is read a troubleshoot sheet or just disconnect you if they can't solve the issue. Having to phone them every month to to try and sort things out. Nothing gets sorted! Awful company, awful service. I recommend either BT or Virgin. Don't waste your time or your money here!

Sky were unable to provide a reliable service, we were paying for things we could never use as download speed less than 3mbps, we decided to cancel giving them the required months notice, and moved to another provider, they have persistently hounded us for payment as they said we hadn't cancelled all of the services, which we had, they made us offers, threats and new deals if we came back to them. Their customer service is shocking, you cannot contact them in any way if your account has been blocked as they did to ours without giving them your bank details, don't bother writing to their postal address they don't reply and will deny you having ever contacted them. This is truly an appalling company to deal with, they only got one star as it wouldn't let me give them the nothing they deserve.

2 weeks ago my wifi was not working, so I got a new broadband and still then the wifi has gotten worse.
I couldn't believe how disgusting it was so I tried it on a fresh new laptop, better than my old one.

The results were the same, it's just the wifi

    Totally useless-

Had an my account for a month, spent £42.40 total (one setup cost an one month of bills) had two engineers come over, spent four hours total on their phone line and got NOT A SINGLE BYTE OF INTERNET.

They just couldn't get it working. Apparently something to do with them needing to update the Sky hardware in my building but successive engineers inexplicably failing. Bearing in mind this is in a new build in Zone 1 London- you wouldn't think it difficult. Cancelling it was a whole fandango, and I need to wait months to (maybe, possibly, perhaps) get my money back.

    AVOID.

    HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED
I gave it a one star because there is no option to give less than one star. After we called customer service it helped for about one hour and after the speed changed back to its normal slow speed.Looks like SKY lies to people and makes it look like they are helping but actually they do nothing. Its a good way for making money but I dont think it will last very long.We will definately change SKY for a honest internet provider. We will 100% find something a LOT BETTER.

Absolutely Rubbish, continuous dropping of dsl connection. check to see if we could have fiber optic they said where we are, they are unable to provide it. We we're in London by way.

A lot of times it stops working completely, we sometimes get it up and running again. if not an engineer has to come.

I've recently got cctv and ring doorbell camera connected to this wi-fi as my parents are elderly here, it requires access to the internet at all times. When it goes down, we lose our security system.

I advice people, do not go with SKY broadband, there are other better providers out there. Seems we're may well be cancelling this service now.

We had sky broadband about 5 years ago and it was fine but we got a better deal with BT so we changed. It was pants so when the contract ran out we went back to sky but this time it was worse than BT. It's slow continual buffering, drops out , freezes and has to be reset. Don't bother. Worst of all when you call they are unhelpful.

Whenever we switched from virgin, sky has been sucking huge ones. Speed - i don't understand how in 2021 we are allowed to have 60Mbps. Provided router - useless piece of electronic waste. Constant broadband drops, throttles and just poor connectivity. Do yourself a favour and pass on Sky.

Really disappointed with Sky, thought because they were such a big name that they'd be semi confident but I'm pretty sure that the lies that they told me were sufficient to not be entirely legal.

I rang up for technical support after not being able to access an online deal. They told me that I was ineligible for the offer because a line wasn't present in the property (not true) and so I needed to go for a worse deal (not true) and I had to book an engineer to come round (not true).

I then had to switch my appointment and it took at least 30 minutes to arrange that, staff were polite but unhelpful and the automated conversations were very, very long. A week later and they cancelled my appointment because low and behold I didn't need a new line.

Someone arranged to call me back after work (and cancelled), we rearranged to call back before work (he missed the time and rang while I was working and so couldn't take the call) and then he went on holiday.

I spoke to someone else and he offered me a new and really great deal. Which he didn't deliver. He told me he had put in the switch request (a lie) and a couple of days later I got a confirmation for an engineer appointment that I didn't arrange.

I called back and was told that I definitely needed a new line (which I was annoyed about because they cancelled my old one and it takes two weeks to book an engineer and I would have to find cover/take time off work etc etc).

Spoke with someone else to confirm and they said they'd checked and I did need a new line (a lie).

I checked with Plusnet and actually I didn't. I called up Sky again and they confirmed I didn't.

This process took two and a half weeks and would have needed a further two weeks to actually come to fruition. They told me the calls I made were free (a lie again) and so I've wasted over three hours of time speaking to customer services, have not had wifi or landline for weeks and was genuinely worried that I'd given my card details to their employees as they seemed to make bookings that I hadn't agreed with them.

Very frustrating customer service (why don't you go online was a common suggestion- if I could I wouldn't be ringing in the first place), very slow and you never know what you've bought. Was really disappointed by the poor quality and I've now switched to Plusnet.

You 'sold' a package to us and said it was a cheaper price, only to find out it was more than what we were already paying, and then tied us in for a further 11 months, the internet speed is the biggest load of crap I've ever experienced, I would not go any where near these bunch of melons

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - in the middle of July I agreed to switch to Sky from BT as they were proposing a minimum broadband speed of 55 Mbps which was more than I was getting at BT (50Mbps-ish). I agreed to do so and agreed to sign for 18 months for a whole package that included TV, calls and Broadband.
I was told the activation day was 23 July - a date when I was already on my holiday. I called them and I was told I shouldn't worry, as the engineer will switch everything on his own so I won't even need to be in. I also told them I will only be back at the end of August. They told me OK, I should just allow some fluctuation of the speed in the first 10 days after I start using the internet.
When we came back and started using the broadband we noticed the speed is always between 44 and 49 Mbps, which is lower than the one we had at BT and much lower than the guaranteed 55 Mbps. I waited more than 2 weeks, but it did not get any better, so I decided to reach out to Sky. Almost a week passed and their Live chat was always busy, no matter when I tried to contact them. So I decided to contact them via FB message today... it is now 5 hours later, and the best their advisor was able to tell me on the chat is to take a picture of my telephone socket where my Sky Hub is connected to...
So I also called them via phone - that suddenly disconnected after 5 minutes when I explained my problem.
But I am feisty and now raging, so called them again. The advisor on the phone was very helpful.... but after 2 hours on the phone I was told that despite the fact that I am using online billing and I got all the notifications about the switch online, they sent me a paper letter via post stating the minimum speed they can guarantee is 40 Mbps (!) despite the 55 Mbps I can still see on my account and I only had 14 days after the date of my activation to raise a complaint...
So currently I am stuck with a terrible Sky Broadband and TV I am not even watching for 16+ more months, as unfortunately I am not able to do anything as - according to Sky - they have done EVERYTHING LEGALLY to provide the service to me and to INFORM me that they are not able to guarantee the minimum of 55 Mbps.
At the end of the phone call I was told they MIGHT be able to waive the minimum term on the BROADBAND - which I would be glad to accept, but as I told earlier, I bought a package consisting of 3 products...
So despite the fact I wanted to cancel Sky TV back in July I agreed to a minimum term for a package that was supposed to deliver a minimum broadband speed of 55 Mbps (average of 63 Mbps - according to their website) that I am not getting, but they are at least waiving the minimum term for one of the products, so I still have 16+ months to pay for the TV package that I am not watching.

All in all, only sign up with Sky and accept a minimum term if:
-you are able to actually test their services in the first 14 days of their service, otherwise you are stuck with a terrible service
-you are ready to read every word of their letters sent via post twice to make sure you are not getting much less for your money than you are supposed to
-you are happy with a guaranteed minimum of 40 Mbps instead of a (supposedly) guaranteed minimum of 55 Mbps (average of 63 Mbps - in your dreams!)
-you are happy to pay for a service you are NOT getting
-you are happy to pay for a whole package for the minimum term, regardless of the quality of their service
-you are happy to spend a whole day trying to reach them and find a solution for your problem
-you are happy to get a half-solution for your problem, which is supposedly the best they could offer as a compensation for their own lies.

Terrible Internet, have to turn phones off if you want to use Internet on iPads. Dreadful to pay so much money and not get anyone interested in improving the service. Typical download speed 0-2.4 and in this age of technology is unbelievable. Line constantly drops out. Someone should do something fast.

Just terrible. After peak time, it's actually like they deliberately give you the worst broadband, probably so you might consider going for an even faster package.

We have never got WiFi throughout our home and because of the inconsistent broadband, we actually tried to get hold of them. Ridiculously long wait times on phoning them (probably due to many people complaining) and when finally got through, they said they'd send someone to test it. They sent the wrong engineer. He arrived to fix the sky TV and we both hadn't got a clue why he was sent. So he said he'll let them know to send the right person. Never happened. So after a 20 minute wait on the phone to talk to someone about it, the automated system had sent me to the wrong service and all they could say is they could send me to the right one and I'll have to wait again. After the first wait I wasn't interested. We're now cancelling our sky broadband and going with someone else. Someone that we can actually talk to and doesn't have so many departments they can't control.

The joke of it all is that we've had sky TV for so long, we're meant to have platinum vip service. A few little offers but it means nothing when it comes to customer service.

very bad customer service, my Call divert has stopped working for nearly 3 weeks and i'm still waiting for them to resolve it and they keep fobbing me.
My call divert isn't working if someone trys to ring my landline which then diverts to my mobile it cuts off.
i have reported the issue to sky but unfortunately they never sorted the problem.
on sky help forum every body is complain about the same problem
so now i decided to move to another service provider.
