    Yesterday I phoned Talktalk's so called "help line" and felt that the person could not have been much less helpful. I phoned to ask them to restore my connection to the internet, but they seemed to me to be repeating the same questions that they had asked before time and time again. After well over an hour of this and me being asked to switch the wi fi on and off several times, they said that I needed to resolve the issue with my equipment providers. At this point I asked to be put through to someone else to make a complaint, which was refused. However, after some further discussion the operator agreed to trying something else to resolve the problem , which in the event worked and I am thankfully now reconnected to the internet. I get completely frustrated with Talktalk as I feel they are always trying to blame my equipment, which I know is kept up to date. Avoid.

    When my landline and broadband went off, it was extremely difficult and expensive to contact talktalk by mobile. It took a week and a great deal of money to get it fixed. The advisers were polite, but very slow, and reluctant to book an engineer, which was all that was required (a fault not in the house had to be dealt with). I would avoid using them again if at all possible.

    I requested a cancellation of the service since I was moving houses and they did not provide service on the new one. 2 months after I still receiving bills because they file the request cancellation 2 weeks after I requested and they have an up to 30 days disconnection delay that, of course, they exhausted. So I'm paying for 2 months of service that I have never used plus the cancellation fees.

    TalkTalk are total rubbish here. Download speed of 13.81MBPS. Upload registering at 0.27. In fact this is optimistic. I was getting about 1 Megabyte per minute (yes, per minute! 0.02MBPS and taking hours to upload a modest video.

    One to avoid. Impossible to get hold of during the lockdown (no chat, no phone support, nothing). Staff when you can get hold of them, are friendly enough but cannot help you; ever. They overbill, promise to reimburse and never do. My connection on fibre was dropping out all the time due to REIN issues (admittedly not much TalkTalk can do about it; but Openreach could not help either). So I nneded to go back to an ADSL connection which was hopelessly slow (1Mbps download, non existent upload; i.e. no use if you need to work from home or do anything more than send plain text e-mails). Apparently (according to Openreach mesaurements at the socket) the line delivers 10Mbps but the router blocks most of that to get through. TalkTalk is unable to help; so I must leave.

    I have had no internet connection for 3 weeks, due to a neighbour’s electrician damaging our cable. When I first rang I was told this was a regional problem, so would not be able to book an appointment. Once the regional problem (that was not affecting me) was resolved, I was told I would be visited by an electrician in 24-72 hours. After 4 days I rang again and was told I would have an appointment the following day. On the day of this appointment when nobody arrived, I called again to be told I would have an appointment in 4 days - again nobody arrived. I called again to be told my appointment has been rearranged for 5 days later. Both myself and my flat mate work full time from home and have had to spend a lot of money to hotspot from mobile phones, Talktalk said they could not provide us with any sort of temporary hotspot. Talktalk have been incredibly unhelpful and unable to provide any sort of service to resolve our issue. We will be expecting refunds for our lack of connection despite paying our bills, and plan to change provider. Avoid signing up with them.

    Hi I have talktalk broadband I'm not satisfied with it at all it always disconnect and when ever I call them they promise to solve the problem but nothing has changed and I'm tired of all this game I really don't know why I am playing them I want talktalk to stop my contract Please thanks.

    My 18 month contract ends February 2021 and all I could ever get was a maximum of 2.1 Mbps download speed .... Upload speed 1 Mbps...

    I'm letting it ride...
    Talking to the customer service team on many occasions did not go down too well.....all they do is send out engineers... (Plusnet)....and give you another router...with the promise of a speed increase....

    I could go on.....

    Trust me........
    .....Do not....

    .............DO....NOT...... Go with talktalk.


    You will regret it.

    I was miss sold my contract, under the understanding that I was getting up to 11 Mbps...

    Anyway I'll leave it to who ever reads this to take this as a friendly warning....

    Very disappointed with talk talk of late . Wrong or missing equipment sent for upgrade left us without Internet for almost a week. Now for a second time we have no Internet. Never known anything like it . Am sure I will still be charged full price though despite not being provided with a full service . How does this happen ?? Its 2020 not 1999! On dial up . Ridiculous for such a large company . Will never recommend them.

    Absolutely disappointed, with the service. The internet would be if correct speed for few weeks and the connection drops and the speed is so slow that you can't even load talk talk.help website. Customer service wants to upsell their products

    Service gets 1 star only because I cannot select 0.
    Because they were using my old email address - after I told them not to - TalkTalk failed to request my DD payments (blaming me when my account shows the DD as set up) then cut off my DD without a text or letter to tell me the situation. Logged all of this with their 'service team' who were obviously powerless to do anything. I then emailed my complaint to the email address given to me by them for this purpose. Not only do they not respond to such emails, they send a standard response asking for me to contact the service team. What? Round and round and round we go. I'm stumped now.

    Absolutely shocking! I wish I could rate 0 stars because they're abysmal. Me and my partner signed up for talk talk with our first house. We recieved our router and an email saying we were live so my partner set up the wifi - no connection. We attempted to contact them and the only response we were given was that there were technical issues in our area- no "we will sort this out for you' or 'this will be resolved by...' so we decided to cancel our package WITHIN OUR COOLING OFF PERIOD. Yet they are demanding money for a bill from us when we recieved no wifi, our tv packages are not set up, we cancelled in our cooling off period and the customer service was tragic! Absolutely disgusting! Would not recommend. Money will be better spent elsewhere.

    Took up the offer earlier last month - free Amazon Prime and broadband fibre for £25.50 per month. Oh they were quick to send out the equipment and the set up was pretty straight forward. Then..........once they have got you tied in........it all then goes wrong.... My broadband is either not working, has poor upload/download speeds averaging at 8 to 12 mb and I have spent hours on the technical webchat. Totally useless. Two engineer appointments booked, waited in on both days between 0800-1300 and no one turned up! Then they have the cheek to send texts to say the engineer has been!!!! Incredulous!!! If you want to introduce stress and wasted time into your life Talk Talk are the company to go to. Terrible - don't be conned by the special offer. I still have no broadband with TalkTalk, ANOTHER third engineer slot is booked for 1st October (let's hope it is third time lucky!). If you want to throw money and time down the drain.......you know where to go to! TalkTalk are treating customers with such disdain, disregard and lack of care - again don't be conned..............

    If I could give less I would. So after signing up for and paying for TalkTalk’s WiFi they managed to set up a direct debit... that’s it! The day of my “go live” date no engineer turned up and I hadn’t received either my welcome pack or the router I was supposed to have gotten days before. The explanation was that the engineer required extra parts and they would call me the next day to let me know what was happening. They did not but when I called them I was told that they had cancelled the account because it had timed out because they had failed to order the engineer the parts they needed on time. Meaning I would have to place a new order with them (at my own expense) which would take another 14 working days. No offer of any form of compensation and although I was told that they “understand” I only got an apology for the inconvenience not their gross ineptitude. After speaking to them over the phone and asking to be transferred to a manager I was instead passed to another rep 3 times before eventually being transferred to a manager who offered precisely nothing but promised that if I took out another order with them they’d monitor it to make sure they didn’t screw up again and that they’d get the sales team to call me in 10-15 minutes as he couldn’t transfer me directly. 45 minutes later I took out a contract with BT as I still hadn’t heard back and had my problems sorted in less than 12 hours. If TalkTalk ever bother to get in touch with me again I’ll give them an ear full but I suspect they value their customers so poorly they won’t even try!

    Broadband on and off, was told by their tech that the wiring in the house needed replaced if we want the speed guarantee'd! Changed to BT and nothing needed changed and great speed so won't be returning

    I ordered Talk Talk 27th Aug after checking they could provide services in my area after I moved. They gave me a go live date of 11th Sept so I booked the time off work as I can't work from home without the broadband.
    Its now 14th Sept I have contacted Talk Talk 5/6 times since the 11th. I got cut off from the chat online then I just keep getting contradicting stories from everyone on the phone. One told me there was an issue, another told me I was still going to receive the equipment Fri (11th even though the phone call was after 5pm) and it never showed and I never went live. 2 others I have contacted 1 told me the issue was being resolved by openreach on Friday to go live today (Mon) STILL NOTHING. So called again and have been told that its going to take 2 days for Openreach to sort there bit then ill get my equipment Wednesday.

    Not once did I get any communication that there was an issue by phone or email, i've had to keep calling them after none of there stories actually come to light.

    I've been promised call backs and don't get anyone call me, i've been told ill get a text but don't get one. Its absolutely shocking service. Passed from pillar to post, being misinformed from EVERY customer service representative/order representative I have spoken to.

    All you get is "sorry we'll update the system" every single time.

    Its so frustrating!!!! Its like one person don't know what the other is doing.

    There's no customer service, there's no correspondence from them.

    If I don't get sorted by Wednesday I will cancel! I would rather pay more expensive and get any sort of level of service then none whatsoever like I have been getting!

    Been with Talktalk for a year now and the worst service I've ever recieved.
    First of all, I did not get the speeds they 'guaranteed' despite living in an urban area.
    Then Internet kept dropping out randomly, i reported it, they said it was fixed but wasn't... 3 times! they eventually fix it after a couple months of the issue.
    Then they prematurely disconnect me causing me without any Internet for a week during a pandemic when I'm supposed to be working from home!
    I called back up to get this reconnected and said it would take 10-14 days, cannot do it any sooner.
    I asked to speak to a manager and was refused! Flat out refused! They even told me I was lying about what happened and they weren't in the wrong!
    Dismissive and flippant attitude from their customer service team, did not even try to keep to their promises at any point.
    I've left them now and won't ever be going back.
    Absolutely disgusting!
    Save yourself the hassle, go to ANYWHERE else!

    I would only recommend Talk Talk to those that have done me wrong. I've spoken to 17 people and have spent countless hours engaged in telephone calls and live chats, going round in circles, explaining the same thing over and over again. So frustrating that a company so bad is able to continue trading. I reported a broadband issue in March and it was fixed at the end of August. Sick of speaking to people uttering scripted answers and issuing empty apologies whilst expecting me to pay for it. I would urge anyone considering signing up to Talk Talk to think again - it won't end well.

    Connection drops daily and for hours at a time. Very unreliable.

    Their tech support is useless. Insist on going through home set up, which takes an hour or so, every time you speak to them even if you've done it an hour earlier with someone else.

    They do not resolve the problem when this inevitably does not work.

    Disconnecting is painful. TalkTalk attempts to coerce you into agreeing to additional terms at disconnection. They bill and charge a full month despite knowing your disconnection date - an strategy to keep hold of your money for longer.

    I tried to make a complaint about this. So far, their complaints department has simply ignored my complaint points - two replies from them so far with no attempt to respond even to defend their actions.

    Overall appalling. I've had 30-40% down time with no connection at all, and some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

    A couple of times a year some problem I think common to all providers. Last time a problem on Friday with broadband not working at all, brilliantly solved the next day on Saturday.Customer service contacted in chat.

    The worst network in the whole wide world! They have no respect for their customers. They have bad communication skills and can never sort out a problem. They charged me for a service which they never provided. They took money from my account for a service that went live for only 24 hours. They then cancelled my order and asked me to reapply for it! Total and utter incompetence at it's best!

    Please do not even consider this company for any type of service. Despite their broadband not being fit for purpose, this will be the least of your issues with them. Online services are not fit for purpose and customer support outsourced abroad. So avoid this company at all cost otherwise you will end up paying for an abysmally substandard service with no access to any form of communication in order to rectify this and no ability to cancel an unsatisfactory service. Piss poor company in every respect

    After being a member of TalkTalk for over 20 years and actually quite happy with their broadband service only to find out that they have been over charging me for years!

    Recently, an incident happened where the gardener accidentally cut our phone / WiFi line. One would have thought this was bad luck but in hindsight its a blessing since it has brought to light the awful customer services that TalkTalk has and how they don't actually look after their existing customers. Any reputable and good company would see their customers as an asset and work for their well-being but not TalkTalk - this company is just here to rip you off.

    I am actually loathed to giving any stars above - but without giving 1 stars I can't submit this form!

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

    WORST ever broadband supplier . Not even worth leaving a review . Have since switched to BT which is a MILLION times better and will NEVER go back to TALKTALK . They even SCREWED me for £75 for leaving them after 4 years , thanks for nout TALKTALK .

    I have had several episodes of having no broadband. On one occasion for six weeks.
    I have been on the phone for over an hour on many occasions trying to get through to customer services
    When there is an issue with them understanding what you are saying, they simply put down the phone.

    Awful from the start. Messed up my installation and actually cancelled it instead of changing the date leaving me without internet for months.
    Connection speed of only 3mb yesterday!!
    Ive paid got a kids boost tv package and havent recieved any working kids channels for 2 years. Also paying more than any of their advertised plans and getting hardly anything for it!
    Dont get TalkTalk! Worst choice i made for internet providers

    Worst broadband supplier I came across, avoid at all cost.
    Customer service is not existant.
    Still have problems to cancel with them, even that is not easy.
    Don't get into cheap, but very deep trap.
    This is a genuine review, don't even think of falling to that....
    Please avoid, go somewhere else

    Overall a very bad broadband. Every 5 - 30 minutes my internet stops working and spikes to 1000ms whilst I'm playing a game. It's very frustrating. It took me about 50 seconds to load this page because the internet is literal dog ****. Today I can't even play any games or load youtube without waiting 2 minutes. My ping is 200 - 1000ms.

    Literally every 5 - 10 minutes my internet has a problem. The wifi stops working and whilst I'm playing a game my ping spikes to 1000ms for about 10 minutes which is frustrating. Today, I can't even play a game because I'm always lagging 200 - 1000ms. X

    I am so feed up with this company. I have been customer for more than three years and they still act on the same way than the first day,so witch I thought that could be just some mistakes from this internet provider company it is actually rutinary behaviours to confuse people and sell their products.

    Yesterday, I spend more than two hours in a chat conversation explaining my current issue witch is that I depend on the installation of my broadband and also a upgrade of it otherwise I will lose my job to witch they did not respond accord at all to the gravity of the situation,the person at the other side of the chat would agree with my certain term for the new contract and then on the moment of closing the contract he will change everything trying to make me start a new contract of 18 month and not considering at all the need of an immediate service a need, witch on my opinion it's a clear intent of confusing the customers and trying to scam them. After realising this I would ask the person to put me through a supervisor several times but he didn't want to do it answering back with questions of another nature, once I got hold of the supervisor and after talking with him for a while He give exactly the same treat and at the end this person stop answering for 15 minutes waiting for the time they close the chat. I consider my self lucky to have a minimum of English to realised what they were trying to do but I can imagine foreings as I am or people of the third age buying for all this and when it happened we are completely powerless as the big companies like this one's will never lose against the people that contract their services.

    Worst UK Internet provider by far. When we moved, they cut off our internet 4 days before we had scheduled it in a phone call. They owe us £50 but only (eventually) refunded £17, after infuriating and pointless phone calls and chats.

    One of the worst company's ever. There customers service is disgusting and non existent. There service is poor and there where constant drops in connections and various other issues. When our contract finally ended we moved to a fabulous new provider (there are many to choose from these days) however talk talk didnt end our contract and have now sent bailiffs after us for £40. If you want a life full ofnhassel and crap join talk talk broadband!

    The Worst ever network.My contract ended on May 7th and I requested via talk talk chat team to cancel my contract by April itself,but itnot cancelled.Then they said its my fault as I didn't call customer care.It was a joke that their customer bcoz their customer care was not opened.Is it my fault???Then they sent me bill of £34. I paid and said to cancel.They cancelled it and sent me another bill of £30(am not using talk talk from April2nd,but still bills coming because of their irresponsibility)as final bill and the mail says I need to renew my service to fix the bill. what a joke on this earth. They are looters. My experience with their network was very bad. not at all I get a good service throughout the year and am still paying even though am not using it. The worsssst customer service and company ever..

    Please stay away from TALKTALK. I have used broadband internet in several country but TALKTALK is the worst company I have ever dealt with.Very very slow Broadband. They charged me for several reason. Be aware 1 mouths before your contract end cancel your account otherwise you still need to pay them.

    Worsted company I have ever dealt with. Emails to them BOUNCE. They will not talk to me over telephone. They have my name and send emails to someone else. I have auctioned small claims court writ. I cancelled our account on 20th march. They still say they have not received anything from me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

    Very Slow Broadband 1-3mgb/s with frequent drop out points. Initial view from Talk Talk was it was BTOpenreach despite the fact the phone line was working - then shipped out a new router. 5 weeks and fault still not resolved. Interestingly Vodafone 4G hotspot gives up to 25mgb/s .... save yourself the hassle go to the solution...

    We have been with TalkTalk for over 8 years, in 2 properties. I can say that the contracted speeds are nearly always maintained and their service is excellent.
    The only problems we have is that (1) the Customer Service staff on the phone seems like they cannot deviate from their contact script and quite often English must not be their first language. However, over the years I have found that the best way to contact them is through the on-line chat. It gives both sides time to think what needs to be communicated without getting heated. (2) We live on the sea front and the Openreach distribution point gets the very strong winds and rain which have been known to disrupt the service.
    I lost the Internet completely at the beginning of July 2020 and an Openreach Engineer was round two days after reporting the fault (on the Friday). He said that the fault was in the overhead phone line and would be back the next Monday to replace the line. He couldn't do it there and then as it was a two man job. The phone line was replaced with minimum mess and disruption.
    Well done TalkTalk and Openreach.

    The worst experience I have ever hd with a broadband supplier. I stupidly opted for an 18 month contract with the quality of internet connection and poor speeds meaning I spent hours trying to get out of the contract with TalkTalk representatives constantly finding excuses not to honour my contracts minimum speeds (not to mention I seemed to be hung up on frequently prompting the call process having to restart)
    Eventually I gave up on the whole process and just lived with poor quality internet but even after my contract they made cancelling exceedingly difficult with having to call on specific days and go through a gauntlet of different people just to escape their ineptitude.

    I absolutely would never recommend this service and it needs completely rebuilt.
