Worst broadband provider we have ever dealt with. The speed we get is 1.1mb/s even though with the package we are contracted too states on their website and on comparison websites we should be getting 55-70mb/s. Not only that but the frequent connection dropouts and customer service issues when reporting said issues is beyond human comprehension. If anyone in the east midlands and probably further afield is even considering using Vodafone broadband then I would seek help with your cognitive functioning. I have gotten so fed up with it that I am actually reviewing something which I never do. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF LIFE ITSELF DO NOT GET VODAFONE BROADBAND.

the absolute worst broadband I've ever had. Switched from Sky as was promised super fast broadband up to 40mb and never below 38mb - I never get this speed! They're supposed to refund you for every day that you dont get the speed you pay for and they make every excuse not to pay you and blame you for the speed? I live in a small flat and my son gets a better connection connecting to our neighbours in the next block of flats rather than our wifi box which is less than 5 metres from his room! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

They were initially scheduled to set up my broadband on Friday, between 13:00 and 18:00. However, the engineer contacted me and offered to do the installation today, considering Monday is a bank holiday. Later, I received a text notifying me that they rescheduled my appointment for the following Friday, over a week away.

It's logical that if they couldn't fulfill their commitment on Friday, they should prioritize the first available slot on the next working day. The decision to move my appointment a week later is perplexing. Despite calling them more than 20 times and explaining the situation, it seems they are not comprehending my concerns. They appear unwilling to take responsibility, failing to recognize the significance of internet connectivity for people working from home.

Regrettably, I've encountered similar issues with Vodafone in the Netherlands. It's frustrating to have trusted them again in the UK, only to face similar disappointment. I certainly wouldn't recommend their services, not even to my adversaries.

Placed the order around 2 months ago but still service is not been activated, keep moving forward the activation date and giving excuses.
One of the customer service advisor says, if you have another mobile contact with us, I can give you data to use hotspot. For getting the mobile data, need to buy another contract from them, so clever they are. Another adviser managed to give mobile data but not enough, run out in few days. Would not recommend Vodafone to anyone, not really serious to solve the problem, not having broadband over a month. Avoid them.

I swapped from Plusnet whom i had no issues with for 3 years, so i know the line and services to my property are fine. I swapped to the same speed fibre package. Since moving, i've had no end of blackouts, dropouts, buffering, slow speeds etc.
They've just put the price up by 14.4% which is unjustifiable and just a money grabbing greedy exercise. I hope the board lose their jobs for such a scandalous greedy practice. Lost a customer for life that's for sure.

Signed up to Vodafone's 38Mbps service because of the cheaper price compared to sky my previous supplier. The changeover was smooth with no problems but the speeds of the Internet was pathetic at peak times down to 1.5 Mbps which makes it useless. This happened every day at peak times. My connection, like a lot of other VF users was being throttled to death. The useless speed guarantee only applies to the line sync speed and NOT the throughput speed!! Thats like having a farrari in rush hour traffic, pointless with no recompense.

Absolutely disgraceful. Go live date was missed and it took hours of phone calls and aggravation to get the internet live, including an Openreach engineer turning up at my door unannounced. Once this had been completed and the internet went live, it was incredibly slow despite speeds of at times 71.0 mbps and sometimes varying down to 2 mbps. This meant streaming and downloading via Sky Q was impossible. Whatever I did this was the same. I think this was a mixture of poor service from the exchange and the router being if shocking quality. Devices would disconnect and sometimes not be able to find an internet connection. Keep your sanity and stay with your current broadband provider, as cancelling was a hassle! I am now back with BT and receiving consistent speeds of 70 mbps and all of my devices are working perfectly. Going with Vodafone meant that I had to change my landline number and faced connection problems with BT.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - This is the first ever negative review I have left for a product, as I felt so strongly that others should avoid.

Broadband so slow it buffers. Just realised I am being charged £35.81 a month instead of the contract amount of 23.00 can't get through to customer service, and can't access my account. Apparently my email, phone number, and password are not recognised. Absolutely disgusted, if I could give a zero I would!!

I change from Sky to Vodafone as they promised me Super Speed Internet. The first two weeks it was like promise, then it kept dropping out and would not connect. Which is very annoying when watching Netflix. I’m now using a lot more Mobile phone data than home broadband. I spoke to customer service which was useless and was very difficult to understand. They said I can not cancel as it’s over 14 days, how convenient! Eventually they agreed they would send me out a engineer. Who did not turn up after spending the whole day in waiting. Very upsetting. And yes, I am still getting charged for piss poor internet. So people I’m warning you. Please please do not use Vodafone as your Home broadband!!

Broadband goes down every week! Very unreliable! Especially when it comes to working from home! Also, when we signed a contract, we were promised a tablet as a new customer. Never received it. Enquired four times, it was promised that it would be sent to us, but it was never received.
The worst broadband we have ever had!

I read lots of negative feedbacks and decided to ignore them and give Vodafone a try. Wish I would of done opposite. One months waiting for the installation and then 6 weeks waiting for Vodafone to fix intermittence broadband connection. No luck. Internet dropping out all the time, talking with theirs technical department on weekly basis and now I understood that they do not know how to fix this problem. They did replaced router ones but after that speed became even slower, 7 to 14mb/s out of promised 35 mb/s. this gives me reason to cancel broadband.

    Hi All,
I don't know why this company even exists. I changed provider and supposed my new provider Vodafone will start on 04/10/2018. Now that I am writing is Saturday 10/11/2018 yes November it's not a mistake and I still haven't got broadband. Useless customer service, useless managers full with lies and promises. I requested all my recorded conversations and notes from my file and no one reply me yet. The biggest joke was on Monday, they send me message that I have to pay £56.65 and when I called them for maybe 50th time so far they told me that the bill is from my mobile phone and the internet that they provide me hahahaha, by the way I haven't got mobile contract with Vodafone or any other company but they insist, they even inform me the mobile number

    Bloody useless company!
I moved and ordered BB 3 weeks before, only to find out by myself a few days before it was due to be activated, that they cancelled it due to "Technical issue"! Spent hours on chat to find out what happened, the person didn't know! Given the first month free if I sign up again, so AGAIN after a week of ordering, I check MYSELF to find out they cancelled it AGAIN without telling me!
Useless chat person took over 40mins to actually tell me the reason this time, it was because I couldn't bring my old number with me and they tried to blame Open reach for the cancelation! It was not OR responsibility to tell me the order was cancelled, ffs!
I never thought I would be one of these people writing bad reviews about a company, but after being pissed around by them and wasting over 4hrs of my time on chats and ordering, I am so pissed off!
Never again am I going to use them for anything, I am going to cancel my mobile with them too.

I cannot believe I was foolish enough to believe that this amateurish home broadband service provider could provide the same or better service than BT.. I regret the day I signed up for this diabolical service. With BT I was getting anything between 38 & 52 Mbps for the whole year. With Vodafone I receive anything between 40 and 0.42 Mbps ..... yes 0.42 Mbps! The majority of the time it is between 26 and 12 Mbps! At the time of writing this review it is constantly under 1 Mbps! When we started with Vodafone in Sept 2016 we were receiving 50 Mbps then, about a month later it reduced to anything between 38 and 20 Mbps. It has gradually reduced over the months (now March 2017) to its current speed of under 1 Mbps. I have contacted Vodafone technical support who are blaming my set-up at home for the diabolical speeds. If this was the case, how was it that I was receiving 50mbps for around a month when I first started the agreement and the 'set-up' I have now hasn't changed from the outset. Also, why was I, with BT, receiving between 38 and 52 Mbps with the same 'set-up'? Let's face it Vodafone, you are going back to the same attitude you had with your mobile phone customers in the 'noughties' i.e. You're are with us now.... tough! If you are thinking about joining Vodafone home broadband I really wouldn't bother if I were you.... go for another provider and pay for the line rental...... it will be with it in the long-run.

Why oh why did I leave Virgin? Was without Broadband for two weeks involving three visits to make the connection (a month after the original date promised). Achieved eventually, but it keeps cutting out, and I don't care what figures and data regarding speeds they may quote, I'll argue black's blue it's NOT as fast as Virgin. I reckon they're in breech of contract. Looking forward to being able to make my escape.

I have given Vodafone 1 star in each category as there was no option for 0 stars. Signed up with a guarantee of 50mb download on their 74mb package. On running regular speed tests i was getting less than 20. Complained and got no help. Broadband lost connection once every few days, the time that drew the last straw was a 24 hour loss of service where, after over an hour on the phone with an advisory, was told nobody could help me for another 48 hours. Cancelled within the first 30 days, told that they were still going to charge me, despite them not actually offering me what I paid for. Customer service and their online chat are useless, not to mention inaccurate - with an 11pm helpline that doesn't take calls after 9pm!

I have had internet problems for around 20 days. Receiving less then 1mg to no internet. I wish this was the first time it has happed however it is not.

I phoned up 16 days ago saying I have had less then 1mg and it wasn't usable. They said I should upgrade and I would get a promised speed of 38mg, so I did.

They said this would take 12 days. However in this time I went from less then 1mg to no internet what so ever. I contacted them by live chat on day 14 to say I had no internet.
They said it would be fixed in 48 hours.
    It wasn't, still no internet.

So I phoned up today, I've spent all day trying to resolve this. I spoke to a guy called Aslam, who kept promising to call be back. First he said he would call be back in 30min, he finally got back to me after one hour. Only to tell me the internet was faulty in my area and he could give my a promised speed of 10mg. Suppose that's better then nothing...

Then he said he would get back to be in 10min. I waited for over an hour to get no call back.

So I contacted Vodafone and spoke to a girl called Hannah. She states that an issue has never been raised. She states she has now done this and has given me some data so I can use my phone to provide internet. However it will take a further 2 days for it to be raised with tech.

I feel like I've wasted the best part of a month and used my days off only to be fobbed off by Vodafone with their empty promises.

If you want to join a company that will make constant promises they can't keep. Or if you want to spend most of your time trying to resolve issues with people who don't care. Then Vodafone is the one for you.

I set up a deal with Vodafone for two premises, soon after I signed up someone decided to use my postal address to move their SKY broadband instead of their new address they gave mine, very soon I got a cancellation notice from Vodaphone with HEFTY BILL this meant I lost my line and nearly my landline number, I had to pay extra to get my broadband back, since then I get charged for phone calls that should be free, the speed of broadband is useless my device is often locked out although fibre optic, when I wanted to check my usage and devices on my broadband I was given incorrect information from someone abroad who clearly did not understand me. not happy folks beware, I am looking for a better deal .

    Vodafone suck,
connection has always been ****, it continues drop and it stays down for several minutes and this continuously during the day and night.
They declare 75 mbps connection when it actually oscillates between 10 and 35, but for them only their bogus test is valid.

It was an absolutely abysmal experience from start to finish. And it is still not over because although I cancelled the account in September- which Vodafone accept-I am still being charged £25/month due to a 'system error'. Have lost count of the hours and hours spent trying to sort out problems ranging from dreadful signal strength to account being in wrong name, to tedious Transfer Of Ownership form filling and a 6 month process!! Honestly, I have never felt the need to record reviews before but this has definitely been the worst service experience of my life.

Don't get caught in their 24 month broadband contracts!

I initially joined Vodafone Broadband for their cheap prices and discount with a mobile contract. I also thought 24 months of cheap contract, why wouldn't i like that?

So the first install was a bit of a hassle; they didn't update me on the engineer coming round, rescheduled without telling me causing me to loose out on some paid annual leave. Once installed, they had some trouble activating and all in all, it took about 10 days to work once the router was installed. Not great but not too bad considering the trouble I have had with other companies. (just to note; I left their phone contract when I bought a new phone before the next part of this story)

The second installation was when I was moving house. I notified them two weeks before moving house (18th Feb) and they said they would be able to install it on the 4th March, and to take my current router to the new house and plug it in on the day of installation, then wait for the engineer to arrive between 8am-1pm. This was another waste of a day as I had no notification from vodafone or their engineer confiming the arrival. I called them at 1:30pm (bit eager but they were late, so i thought) and they said they would arrive between 2pm and 8pm.. So i waited till the end of the day and no one arrived.

The next day, I got a "good bye" email from Vodafone. They had cancelled my contract. I spent a couple of hours on the phone asking what was happening with my internet and they blamed it on an internal error, so they then put in another order and told me it would now be installed on the 8th March. Not great but it could be worse.. I get that with Covid etc, things are a bit of a struggle. It gets to the 7th March and they call me to confirm the internet will be installed on the 16th March.. 16th?! Okay fine, so 16th it is. 15th March comes along and they cancelled my contract again! So that is 4 times it has been delayed now, (4th, 5th, 8th, 16th March). I called them again and spent ages being chucked around to different departments.. At this point I wanted to cancel and just go with someone else, but I am stuck in a contract with 14 months still to go, so that would cost nearly £300 to cancel. Yep, they've got me by the nads here. I just have to deal with whatever they throw at me. Anyway. I finally get through to someone and he gets my fustration and can see that my contract has been cancelled over and over and he believes that he has fixed it. He "guarentees" the install by the 26th March. Finally! Someone gets it and it's all fixed! I'll book another day off work so I can be in for it and finally get this sorted.

I got a message today from Vodafone confirming the internet will go active 8th April. Ha! We'll see..

So yeah.. Next time I get broadband, I'm going for a 12 month contract.

I have business broadband with them and I can tell you that they are the worse broadband team I have ever dealt with in my 10 years. I am just waiting for my contract to end in few months and I am out! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Absolutely appalling customer service from a recognised brand!

We scheduled an upgrade around 4 weeks ago with the new line and broadband to go live to 10th May. The date comes around we install the router and all the lights show but the internet is not working. We log on to the chat who say that it will be activated at midnight, which is ridiculous as we were told the changeover would not cause us any disruption.

Midnight comes - still no internet. I speak to the chat service again who say we need to wait 24-48hrs (this is a common phrase that Vodafone seem to use….) but they say it should be working in a couple of hours.

Couple of hours gone and I decide to call them instead. I get passed around a couple of times before I get to someone who explains that there is an issue with the line and they are checking with the tech team. It turns out that upgrade was put in incorrectly.

I get put through to the tech support who say that a new upgrade needs to be put in place and an engineer will need to come out - so puts me through to another gentleman who has no idea what is going on and thinks that I just want a new upgrade with no context. I ask him to put me back through to previous team.

On this call I am told that a new upgrade was not needed to be raised and in fact all they need to do is send an email to a team who will activate it in … you guessed it… 24-48hrs. With no way to fast track.

I work from home and this is disrupting my work, and it ridiculous in 2023 that you need to wait that long to get a service that should already be activated put in place.

I hope that through reading this complaint Vodafone will offer a way for me to fast track this.

For anybody considering Vodafone Broadband… don’t

Chaotic and disfunctional. As an existing Vodafone mobile customer I accepted an offer of their broadband service on 10 Jan with an installation date of the afternoon of 23 January.
I then received a text from Vodafone changing the time to the morning. I waited all morning and the engineer arrived in the afternoon as he had not been informed of the change in times. He was unable to complete the required work and left, warning me to contact Vodaphone to warn them that the broadband connection had not been made and that they must therefore not switch over my existing land-line number.
I was subsequently given a completion date of 18 February but in the meantime Vodafone assumed control of my landline despite being unable to connect it.
I then noticed that Vodafone had in fact started charging me for their supposed "service' since 10 January.
So to summarise: they have managed to make a complete mess of the actual installation, they have cut my business land-line and have charged me for their complete inadequacy. Oh, and the phone call this morning took 35 mins to connect with a further 55 mins to explain the situation and be kept of hold.
    AVOID - ******* useless.

Giving 1 star as there is no option for 0.This is a part time broadband business available intermittently during day and sguts shop everyday at 6 PM. After that have a good mobile data connection for internet. Technical support/chat is a joke. They might give me also a chance, if by chance I walk by their technical support building.

Worst customer Service. Broadband worked less than 24 hours before it went down. No one helped for 2 days so moved back to other provider. Shocking thing is, Vodafone billed me £30 for such a service. What a pathetic approach.

Terrible service, overpriced payment for unstable network.

I was with BT and unfortunately transferred to Vodafone whom invested only had issue with. Connection issues are constant. The customer service team are rude and unhelpful. They haven’t even taken over the line correctly and now cause an issue with the line and leaving me to pay two bills. BT have this far been fantastic sporting a full refund and Vodafone are not accepting the issues they’ve caused. I just want our at this point but it’s a huge fee to leave but I wouldn’t have noticed their error to leave within the 14 day cooling period as my bill is monthly so I’m stuck. Avoid avoid avoid
