I was late in my bill month, so fair enough service got cut off. It cut at 1am while I was working on something, tried to pay the bill through the app on my phone, didn't work. After going round in loops on the automated phone service, it hung up on me when it said it would take the payment.
I got through everything the first go but because I took 3 seconds to get the expiry date on my card, it just cancelled and hung up. Never thought it'd be so much hassle to pay a company.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and broadband.

Have had intermittent problems due to a line fault since April 2018, could not work from home, or use broadband for domestic purposes. Despite raising the fault at the beginning of April, upgrading to superfast 2 and Vodafones promises to fix it or get fast internet speeds, the broadband speed and stability got worse down to 2 megabits/second download!.

It took Vodafone 4 months to send an OpenReach engineer to fix the line who stated that this should have been fixed sooner, and now I don't have any working internal phone lines.

Despite all of Vodafones nice customer service representatives and their promises to fix the fault, I have had to endure 4 months of terrible internet with 2 Megabit download speeds and disconnections every 2 to 40 minutes. My experience has been an absolute nightmare, and Vodafone would not let me cancel for breach of contract and wanted to charge me for the remaining months. This is in contravention of their own contract terms for poor service.

I am now referring this case to the Communications Ombudsman and will seek compensation and damages.

Suffice to say, Vodafone is the worst provider of broadband I have ever had in 15 years.

One of the worst broadband ever. Line get disconnected every single day 2 to 3 time. Need to connect every time it disconnected. Contact customer service many times but not resolve. Keep telling me to same thing over and over again. Asked them to cancel it but they are greedy culprit would not do it. I am not paying them single penny and will take action against them.

The issue is we have spent 2 month without our previous landline number with the time still growing.
we had original stated that we would need to have our old number from virgin media( originally from talk talk and bt before that)this was before we had the internet and landline installed.
This first request seemed to have done nothing in the way of them doing anything as we had to call virgin media for the request and virgin had not seen a request from Vodafone.
Then we called Vodafone a further 3 time before success we had a date of when would receive our old number. the Day comes and still nothing no old number.
there is a waiting time of 2 weeks between each call meaning that we are now far out from the 30 day cancellation but if they had said we can't get numbers from Virgin Media we would have never moved to them.

If you want okay broadband (alot slower than advertised) for a month then this is the broadband provider for you.
After a month they forget to provide you internet and then you have to call them at least 10 times on a wild goose chase trying to figure out what is wrong. Then after 2 weeks you give up and switch to another provider, as they still don't know why you magically stopped having internet.
Or you could save yourself this hassle and just use any other broadband company who will provide you reliable internet for the whole 12 month contract.

Overall lower than expected speed, repeated lags, drop in speed and connectivity are very common, but typically comes back online in under 10 mins.. however God Bless your soul should you have a problem.. the customer service experience is horrible. I recently had a nightmare trying to get the broadband fixed on a working day. The whole thing goes down right in the middle of a busy day packed with conference calls.. try to reach customer service in the middle of conference calls and it’s the Spanish Inquisition on security, asking for pins and passwords and security questions I set up 12-18 months back, when I am trying to juggle my time between important calls.. WHY ON EARTH WOULD I BE INTERESTED IN FIXING SOMEONE ELSES BROADBAND.. I completely understand the security concern if I was trying to change something on the account all I was asking was to fix the connection, which they would see was down on their system.. Finally I had to follow up in the evening get put on hold for over 65 mins and finally get through a kind customer service executive who knew his stuff and had common sense... I don’t blame the customer service execs that are probably getting the raw end of the deal.. it’s the management of the company.. “the fish stinks from that head”..

anyway I have decided to switch.. hopefully the new provider “plus net” do a better job.. Plusnet’s customer service and communication have impressed me so far..

Very poor customer service. Fibre broadband lag or drops or even disconnects for a while. Havent recieved service for 2 months and they could not fix the issue. Told them i would like to cancel and the advisor said either i pay £156 to leave the contract or the down time i had and paid those bills they will not refund. They just found a way to make money out of me. I would not recommend vodafone broadband. Rather go to talktalk, BT or plusnet.

Vodafone is an absolute disgrace to society and practically false advertise their speeds which they offer and have bad support processes in place.

There support team is absolutely shocking as tickets are closed without clarification from the end customer that the issue has been resolved.

You are told that the issue will be resolved within the next 3 days, which then turns into an 8 day and I still have no confidence in that they will resolve the issue as this issue has been going for over a month.

I would never recommend Vodafone as the customer is mislead all the time.

    Kind Regards

    Shane

Line slow and dropping. i.e. Was a ping of 14ms and speed of 60 meg. Now a ping of 30ms and a speed of 35meg
Used the vodaphone diagnostics tool which diagnosed a problem.
Received a phone call from an 'engineer'who said my problem would be solved by pugging directly into the bt socket faceplate.
Told him I'd done that three days ago.
He then replied my speed was not below the minimum contract so they would do nothing but to ring them if I was still having problems.
So they rang me because they knew there was a problem and because it wasn't an easy fix they will do nothing.

Have the fibre broadband which is just as slow as the bog standard talktalk broadband I had before. Speeds are painfully slow even with just 1 device connected. They've had an issue on the line that their engineers have been "fixing" since December. It Constantly cuts out and the signal strength is pathetic. I should have known their broadband would be as bad as their mobile network. I'll be leaving the moment my contract is up, take my advice don't waste your time or money.

I decided to have my broadband and landline through you as I already had my mobile with Vodafone.
First problem, I was not at home when the engineers turned up which was the wrong day, first of all !!!! Then the day, they were supposed to have come it was cancelled. They gave a new date. Unfortunately I could not be there due to work commitments so my mother was there instead for the engineers. When they arrived, she asked if they can put the router box in the hallway next to the phone line. She was told that this was not possible and that it would need to go in the front room. She called me and said and told me what they said I then said try my bedroom where there is a phone port but apparently that was no good either. So it was set up in the front room where there was no phone line.
When I got home, I found out that unfortunately the pole across the way did not have fibre-optic so it was unable to connect to the Internet !! Why this was not checked first was beyond me ?? So I had to wait about six weeks for someone to come out and put fibre-optic into the pole across the way.
The engineers came into the house again, but I was at work, so I never spoke to them they only spoke to my mother.
Finally, everything was up and running, so I thought !!!! I don’t tend to use the landline and it was only due to the fact that the doctors had been trying to contact me and a friend on the landline. That I realised it wasn’t working. I spoke to someone on live chat who told me that I needed to use the telephone ports on the back of the hub router and plug it into the telephone. The problem with this, I don’t have a telephone line to plug it into as the nearest one is in the hallway which is nowhere near the router ? I don’t have one in the front room that is why I asked for the router to be put in the hallway.
So now I have a landline, I can’t use. Which is absolutely ridiculous because the engineers would’ve obviously noticed this when installing the router. The person on live chat was useless and just kept repeating the same thing to me, even though I kept saying the same thing back that I can’t do that.
To say, I am frustrated, would be a total understatement.
Also, when you send a complaint by email you expect a response. Vodafone have chosen to ignore.

Absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs. Vodaphone are probably the worst ever broadband AND phone provider I have had the misfortune to encounter. I have been a customer with them for 16 years and have only stayed because of their extensive network coverage. To date I have had to virtually sue them for their appalling customer service. The Ombudsman found in my favour and I was awarded £1000! from Vodaphone. Mistakenly I took out their broadband thinking they had improved. They have not. The broadband is appalling, constantly drops out and half the time doesn't even work at all. In spite of raising yet another complaint I am unable to actually contact Olivia who is mean to be from the Directors Office and who claims to be handling my complaint. The reason being, that all of the customer service agents I speak to cant understand me, cant speak English and read literally from an autocue! In desperation today I tried to raise a complaint on live chat but no I was told that I now have to start a fresh complaint as the old one has expired!! So now I am stuck with 2 phones costing me £100 per month and broadband that is so useless we don't even bother trying to use it and have instead reverted to using our EE hub which is brilliant. I am now in the process of cancelling my broadband and raising yet another complaint with the Ombudsman because Vodaphone wont listen to me. If you are considering Vodaphone DONT!!!! they are frankly appalling!

I have had Vodafone broadband for six months now I was paying for up to 76 mps and on average I was getting between 5-10 at the most.
Every time you contact Vodafone the problem all they said is we will raise a ticket but enough was enough
I decided to cut my losses and pay the early termination fee it was the best £100 I have ever spent
I also cancelled my 2 mobile contracts
Just remember you only get what you pay for

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. As soon as your cooling off period expires the speed drops away. Customer services aren’t interested in sorting it out or giving good customer service. My plan was estimated as 60mbps, I am half a mile from exchange. Initially connected at 63mbps, which dropped to 58mbs during cooling off period. Now I am getting 48.9mbps. You can only claim money back if shown on app, which always conveniently either doesn’t record it, the claim button vanishes or the app crashes. Terrible company & terrible service

These bunch of idiots have just set up this broadband business without any damn clue.

Idiots can't even take over a running line to start the service, leaving us without any broadband for days.

An absolute regret and shame that we signed to them.

I've had this so called broadband connection for a couple of months. Daytimes are fine but in the evening it is terrible. It drops continuously. I've cancelled my DD and will be calling to cancel my service with them tomorrow. I don't have time to waste with trying to get it sorted. It's not fit for purpose!

I believe Vodafone UK are advertising a guaranteed broadband speed or money off. This is terms "the ultimate broadband guarantee". Just don't believe it for a minute.

The reality of the guarantee being based on Sync speed is of no use to man or beast.

Thy Sync speed gives no guarantee to actual broadband throughput.

So you can be happily syncing at 30Mbps / 7Mbps as I am but your throughput will vary from 30Mbps during the day to 3.5Mbps every evening (as mine does). This makes it
impossible to do anything at any decent speed.

Vodafone support (on phone which takes litrally hours to get through to) will take you round the houses trying to diagnose it but in reality they know they cannot delivera guaranteed throughput. If you do nail them down to not fixing the problem they blame Openreach for a "Red Cable Link Issue" (whatever that is, sounds like it's designed to scare customers off). If you push them further they will quote your contract "sync speeds" are being provided as per contract. This leaves you in the position of having extremely poor broadband speeds every evening but locked into an expensive contract.

BTW don't bother with online chat they onl having restricted access to your account and have very little skilled knowledge. They even gave me a ticket
reference number which wasn't even a ref number, it was my account number.

So all in all, pretty poor support around a service designed to stop you getting good speeds every evening (as in my case, fully documented with Vodafone support and now going through an OfCom process).

    Avoid at all costs.

The price is attractive but everything after that is very disappointing.
    - The speed is very low
    - The service drops out every few hours and when I contacted them they would always make me open the socket and then tell me that there is no problem
    - Call service team are very polite but lacks the right knowledge
I guess Vodafone have launched the service in a hurry and without adequate system and knowledge

Took up their Fibre76 offer which was the cheapest at the time from a more trusted provider.
Handover from BT went as planned and was up and running by 5pm of stated day, with speeds comparable to BT.

Since then connection has been reliable and consistent, save for some disruption during road resurfacing in the area.

Following BT work in the area, am not receiving a downstream speed of 72Mbit! (so looks like it's now fibre to the cabinet).

Only frustrations have been an inability to initiate a line check after basic verification (as I could with Virgin & BT), and a very basic modem with limited functionality (doesn't support IPv6 or more advanced DHCP/DNS setup).
Overall, considering cost, speed & reliability would happily recommend them for most.

    Stay. Away.

The absolute worst company I have ever given money to. Nothing but connection drops, outages and a crappy wi-fi hub that can't reach my devices in the next room.

On top of all that, useless customer service.

    Stay away.

We had BT fibre 72mb and it was great but expensive. We changed to Vodafone when contract ran out and it was biggest mistake ever. Absolutely rubbish in every respect. We averaged 60mb with BT and with Vodafone are averaging 12mb even though we are paying for 76mb now. We have had lots of calls to Vodafone and no matter how Much fiddling with setting, no improvement. We even spent £130 on new high class router which did some improvements.
We would rather pay to end contract with Vodafone and go back to BT.

What a hassle! Signed up on 2/1/18 in store. Advised earliest connection would be 18/1/18. Text and emails to confirm this. Stayed home 8am ‘til 1pm. No engineer. Called Vodafone to be told that Openreach had changed the date to 19th but not told them or me. Asked for an early appointment. Vodafone called at 8am to say engineer had started work and could be outside! Turned out to be a lie. He finally showed just after noon. So 2 whole mornings waiting in addition to waiting for the "signed for" router delivery. Was told it would activate at midnight. It didn’t. Called again. Apparently the router sent was not the router registered and that mattered. Told it would all be OK next day. It wasn’t. Apparently Vodafone employee had mistyped their own company web address, so router still not registered. Told to do a hard reset and wait for another hour. Finally it works! Speed as advertised but this is first day. I have never had so much hassle with any other broadband installation.

    Avoid!!
Problems with the set up and then direct debit has failed repeatedly. I paid them by BACS as it as charity and they couldn't find the payment. I'm minded to try and cancel early. 0/10 for customer service. The people are trying their best with systems that are clearly not properly set up

    Try someone else!

Promised a minimum of 35Mbps, never acheived more than 21Mbps.
Complained several times, but wanted me to plug in laptop via ethernet cable and start computer in safe mode, 5 times a day. Sadly, I go to work so this is near on impossible.
Delay tactics to prevent the promised discount if the speed quoted is not acheived.
Dispite other reviews, I found it stable, but slow. 18 month contract that I saw out.
Half hour on phone waiting to speak to somebody in terminations department did not impress me either.
Changed to plusnet, same cost per month and speed is already downloading and above 50Mbps
My advice is avoid Vodafone Broadband

I haven't even started my broadband yet and I am already annoyed. They changed the install date, the day before it was meant to happen with no explanation, when I rang up to ask why, the guy just stuck me on hold to get rid of me.

Waiting for 2 new business broadband lines to be activated. Told to wait until after midnight but still nothing on either line. Zero ability to get support - spent over 1.5 hrs trying to call - automated Tobi is a piece of work. Vodafone have absolutely no interest in meeting their customers needs

Good customer service. Awful broadband though.

I’ve been with BT for 2 years on 72mb fibre and average 65mb. However, Vodafone had a great deal on so I swooped to them. Big mistake. I am now getting between 10-30mb. 4K doesn’t work very well with Netflix, even HD buffers sometimes.
If I am paying for a service I would expect to get the service not half a service. Not impressed so far.

Patchy speeds at times, terrible app that either won't connect or declares the system fully healthy. Terrible customer service line that makes it really hard to speak to a real person and keeps trying to send you to the website to FAQ's (before finally relenting and putting you through to India). The system "had a glitch" that means all customers leaving got sent an email saying "thanks for staying"..! Glad we've left...

Vodafone advertises ultimate guarantee speeds of 55MBps on Superfast 2; however, the reality is different where customers like me are only offered 42MBs - well below Vodafone's advertised rate. Be aware - there are also issues with it dropping out.

We've had VF broadband for a few years now and across 3 different addresses. They've been great.

When we move, they give us unlimited data on our mobiles until things are sorted, same when roadworks pulled all the cable from under the road and a BT engineer took 2 weeks to restore service. Mind you, we have our mobiles with them as well.

We need to split 2.4 and 5 out for a couple of older devices and in both our current house and the previous one, we've been talked through the steps by an engineer.

Our current place has a basement level which couldn't get the wifi signal so VF *paid for a powerline Wifi extender thingy* (£30) I bought from Currys.

I'll subtract a star for Customer service (painful automated system and slow to answer the phone sometimes), one for speed (though we are in the country now) and one for reliability (it's dropped a couple of times in the last week) but overall, I'm really happy and would recommend them.

I ordered broadband from them on 21st may which they promised that my services will be activate on on 4th of june and I will receive router within week after placing an order. Today is 6th of june and I am still waiting for router and my broadband service activated on 4th of june. Their bill payment started and I spoke to staff everyday from 2nd of june and everyone saying it will come next day and they wasted week. Today I spoke to paul which is english guy and he don't understand english. When I asked him to can I spoke to your supervisor or manager then he clearly refused and said to me that first I have to tell him reason which I already explained him before requesting to speak to manager. I thought from last week I was speaking every day with staff and they couldn't help, so I will raise issue to their superior people and they can help me out. But I am very disappointed with vodafone and it will be my first and last order.

Hi, For sometime I have been using Vodaphone and they were the best could find. However I have noticed their customer service has improved for better of late. A recent call for a new modem was serviced promptly. I then had an issue with the line dropping and had excellent customer service from a chap Called Mohamed. Thank you Mohamed and he fixed my issue while I was on the call. Promised to phone me tomorrow to check too. Well done on the improvement. Thank you

Despite seeing some bad reviews, I switched to vodafone fibre broadband and phone last week and the changeover happened on the date they specified. Although its early days, the connection has been 100% solid and I get speeds in excess of what Vodafone said I should expect. Absolutely no complaints up to now.
