    !! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! I have had the worst experience of customer care in my life from these people , the broadband never worked the TVC box quality was from the 80s , when I tried to call to resolve these issues , I was met by long long phone calls ,some that ended with “we see no problem it must be your device”, because yeah all 15 devices connected to the internet went down at the same time, they are thick , don’t know what they are doing and even when I went to leave it took 2 hours on the phone and they tried to charge me £160 for the pleasure of running as far away from them as I could!! Again AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!

    If I could choose to have minus stars, I would. Don't waste you money with this utterly horrendous company. The broadband doesn't work half the time and when you contact the firm (eventually) they pass you around not knowing what to say to You. The customer service is horrific. DO NOT USE!!!!!!

    My internet went down last Friday night (5 days ago). The best option I could find was to contact TalkTalk’s messaging service, but this was only open until 10pm. So they replied in the morning around 8am. For the next 5 hours they went through a diagnostics process and everything about this service is bad. Here are some examples; 1) They cannot switch to live conversations. Everything has to be done via texts, which makes more complex diagnostic procedures almost impossible, 2) They cannot receive pictures. Surely this would really help? 3) The customer does not keep the same service operator throughout the process - you are switched around. This leads to complexity, long delays and frustrations. Anyway, after 5 hours it was determined that the router was at fault. I expected an urgent resolution from a company valued at £1.5 billion with nearly 2,500 employees and 4 million customers. Especially when my heating, my alarm security system, my television services and my general web service runs off the internet. Surely there would be same-day delivery with onsite help from a business this size? Sadly, no. The process does everything it can to avoid onsite assistance. And the router was ordered for normal delivery. As of now - 5 days later - it still hasn’t arrived and I still have no internet. TalkTalk is blaming the Bank Holiday. Unfortunately I have to travel abroad today and my home will be left without internet making it impossible for me to operate my alarm and my heating remotely. This is shockingly poor and demonstrates why the Daily Telegraph recently reported that TalkTalk has the worst service of all broadband providers.

    Worst ever service.Broadband keeps dropping.Complained in Aug 2017.was promised it would be resolved,was not,my mobile data cost doubled,spike to talktalk again,sent an engineer down, no improvement,spoke to talktalk again, nothing happened,finally told them I want to cancel my contract they said I would have to pay to come out in contract. Rubbish is every sense of the word.

    I struggled for many years with BT Customer Service but the broadband service itself was very good. I was persuaded by Talk Talk to switch on the basis of a much higher speed only to find that they failed to meet any of their promises. They have made endless promises to solve the issues and at times down right lied and their customer service is even worse than BT but masked in a veneer of caring for the customer. What is even more incredible is that I needed an exterior socket moved and they informed me they are only allowed to open one call at
    a time for a consumer with Openreach who appear to actually do any of the work. It is without any doubt the best example of style of substance and the worst customer experience I have had with any supplier and still the broadband speed falls far below the minimum speed they promised me. BT may have its issues but if I could I would go back tomorrow.

    Only been a customer for 2 hours. Having trouble connecting to router via ethernet cable. Contacted 'technical support' and now I am cancelling my contract. With out doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with, useless.

    Horrendous company to deal with. Have had issues with all services for months yet cannot get to speak to anyone in the UK for assistance. Going round and round in circles with staff from the Philippines who have appalling grasp of English language. Have written to the CEO in Southampton on advice of Ofcom. She's ignored my letter which demonstrates the utter contempt shown towards customers who pay her, probably extortionate, wage. My elderly father was made ill recently also trying to deal with them on a separate issue. Talk talk don't care less so avoid at all costs getting involved with them.

    Would advise to avoid. They delayed my installation date by over 18 days for broadband and TV (which is another week after the broadband). Support channels not helpful at all. Everyone trying to pass you on to different people so you end up repeating yourself constantly. Final someone answers you who you cant understand and when ask to explain they still don't. Even more of a kick in the teeth they state that their customers get more - that's a promise when you login. Seen none of that.

    No broadband for 4 months, charged for every month. Charged for a missed engineer visit when we had stated that we wouldn't be home. Customer service teams were a joke, hung up on us three times in one evening. So dissapointed

    This is Talktalk: they call you to tell you you've cancelled your direct debit. When you query this with your bank, they tell you that in fact Talktalk have set you up with TWO direct debits. So you cancel one. But it's too late - Talktalk have already taken two lots if money from your account and then also had the audacity to charge you a cancellation fee for cancelling the extra debit they set up!! Then they deny it all and say the bank must have set up two people with my account details. The bank do not, and cannot, set up a direct debit for you - they told me Talktalk did it, but without my permission.

    You can't complain to Talktalk as they don't understand and don't care. When I had technical difficulties, the person who picked up did not understand the word engineer. Literally.

    IT IS THE WORST OF THE WORST !!! Never seen something like that , internet not working for 6 months in a row and they still ask some time to figure it out .. they are a joke!! they are charging you every month for not getting any service , seriously a Consumer Body should step in as they are scamming consumers. I will bring them to the court.

    I encountered 2 big issues with Talktalk.For the first one, they have withdrawn money on my bank account by error and I struggled for 3 months to have cash back. I called them and they promised me several times they will send me back cash back and finally didn't send me anything, it is just awful. The second issue is, no broadband at home for 2 months ! It stopped working without any reason. The customer service is a nightmare , I struggled for 2 months for the BT line to be fixed ! Moreover, I needed to call several times for several hours, what a waste of time and money ! Moreover, it appears the staff doesn't communicate sometimes or write down the customer issue, there is no follow-up so I've been obliged to repeat the story several times ! It is a company but how can it survive with such a lack of organization! I do not recommend !!

    I've never had such rubbish internet connection I can't believe I even thought bout signing up with talktalk the broadband speed is rubbish the customer service I've rubbish I've spoke to about 1 person that didn't have attuitude. I had broadband fitted 8 months ago in that 8 months I have only made 3 payments of 32 pound because there's not a day my internet works fully it's cuts of for a food 5-6 hours talktalk told me my broadband box was have technical work done to it so I wouldn't have to pay anything till April the 26th i had compo off them till next month. I've spoken to the manger today and all she kept saying is 'you haven't paid' and ' calls weren't recorded so there's no prove of anyone speaking to me or my partner about this problem'
    Moral of the story talktalk are RUBBISH!! Wouldn't waste another penny on them :)

    Was looking for a cheaper provider for our broadband and when we spoke to talktalk we got a deal £19 per month unlimited broadband, we spent ages on the phone setting up accounts and just when we thought we were good to go we get an Email saying our contract has been cancelled. We phoned up asking what was going on and after even longer on the phone they tell us there is nothing that can be donee daughter we are not compatible but only 2 days before we got a letter through saying our direct debit has been set up, so they happy to take your money but not give you the service, absolute waste of time and would not recommend

    Terrible. First of all, they compromised my account and bank details. I know this because I keep getting scam calls trying to steal my personal information - and they know my name, address and account number! TalkTalk's response was that no I couldn't leave my contract, and all they did was refer me to a free identify protection service which I couldn't use. Appalling.

    Next, as the quality, it sucks! Okay, download (I'm on fibre) is reasonable, about 20-30 MBPS down, but only about 1-3 up. Fine. But the worst of it is that it constantly drops everything offline if any of my devices start to upload. Dropbox, Google photos, OneDrive all have the same effect. Called TalkTalk and they're clueless. I'm know enough and networks to know that It's because the upload bandwidth is so small that it quickly saturates and blocks any other devices communication hence the disconnect. Moving to BT next week. If I were you, give these idiots a wide berth, they're hopeless.

    Absolute shambles ...appalling customer service from staff l could not understand,mis information, hopeless product knowledge, hanging on the phone for over one hour while they went away to discuss my problem.
    The only plus point was the engineer who called, he was a diamond.

    Talk Talk to force us to upgrade to a more expensive product have CAPPED our connection to 1 Mbps. Their tech confirmed it and speed test are no higher than 0.88 Mbps. I called them they said they could see it was capped but would call me back when they had when they had foxed it.IT IS A SCAM !!

    AVOID TALK TALK BROADBAND IF YOU WANT TO AVOID BEING RIPPED OFF IT HARDLY WORKS AND SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE.

    I get a broadband download speed of 1.4mbs do I need to say more !!!
    One broadband test says this is 90% slower than all the UK !!!
    Talktalk should do more.

    Simply put, this is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I have had SKY, BT and now Talk Talk broadband at my current house and only having issues now. Constant dropping of connection, every Sunday there are major connection issues, have been waiting for calls from the fault team since 12 March (now 2 April) and no one seems to give a dam about customers. I strongly advise anyone thinking of using these for broadband to think again. Yes they are cheap....but they don't provide the service they say they will. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a good service....stay clear and learn from the experiences of those on here!!

    I lost my email facility recently and contacted Talk talk by landline. The call was answered immediately and quickly upgraded to an operator called 'Precuious' who spent an hour patiently talking me (a complete technophobe) through the process. i can't fault the customer service.

    Speed his measured in Eons rather than mbps, all is well until things go wrong and then you find out the whole company call centre is based in India and no one is capable of understanding your problem!
    I spent 3 months getting my internet connection back with talk talk! in the end it was a very simple fix that BT spent 10 mins sorting, pay the money and go with the company that owns the network, you may save a few quid each year but when it goes tit's up you will spend ages getting anything sorted.

    Honestly the worst company iv had to deal with. not one of the employees no more english than "welcome to talk talk". not being funny but if all i have to communicate is my voice... why the hell would you put someine on the other end of the line with veryVERY V E R Y limited english.

    above this the connection is almost nonexistantant, forever restarting the router to remove red lights (this is our 3rd router)

    phone line conveniently get cut when the customer service team cant understand what you want.

    absolutely shocking. they have made me so angry. Dont worry this company wont last long. look through the rest of the reviews here. they are infact...awful

    Hi. I am SO pissed off! I will give a bad review on talktalk wherever possible! Your staff are completely unprofessional and clearly do not understand the processes well enough to deliver successful customer service!
    I applied for a home move, now im not moving home anymore. I contacted talktalk and had the home move cancelled which i was told was successfully cancelled. I specifically told the woman that i DO NOT WANT MY INTERNET GOING OFF AT MY CURRENT ADDRESS because i am working from home and have children trying to access homeschooling! Yesterday my internet was disconnected regardless but my landline was still working. I contacted talktalk AGAIN and after nearly an hour of needlessly having to check the router etc i was told an engineer would have to replace my router, which i informed the woman AGAIN that it's not a physical problem with my router but a technical problem with my connectivity! She then transferred my call to someone else who finally explained that i had the "move" cancelled but not the "disconnection" which i understand now. I asked her to reconnect my Internet and she said it should be connected within 24hrs. Its now been over 24hrs and my landline is now disconnected!!!! I contacted talktalk once again, to which the lady now says my ENTIRE ACCOUNT has been deactivated! MY ENTIRE ******* ACCOUNT!! Now they have to come collect my landline and reissue an entire new everything! This is SO unacceptable and frustrating!! No one at talktalk knows what the hell is going on! Is there anyone anywhere on your staff list that could possibly tell me how to put my internet back on, please!

    Wireless is a waste of money, every single night I cannot even connect to the internet unless I wait about hour, and guess what, I'm writing this review from my 4G as my wi-fi don't work. DO NOT WASTE MONEY

    Contracted speed is 8Mb - and peformance is OK at >6Mb most of the time. However, most weekday evenings, speed drops, sometimes as low as 1Mb or less. Suspect Talk Talk have been greedy and oversubscribed their service. Customer services hopeless - they can never find my account, even though they installed a new line and provisioned the whole service from new. Overall service is OK, but I would prefer better speed in the evenings.

    I will keep this brief, upgraded 2yrs ago to fast broadband to improve speed and disconnection issues.
    Have continued to have problems,after a few months realised online chat is COMPLETELY useless, i used to phone after that but now this has changed to a text system.
    We have had over 18mths 3 brightspark engineers and 5 Open reach engineers, they have replaced internal sockets, 3 routers and changed the wiring from the distribution box to our premises.
    Disconnection issues have gone but speed still up and down like a fiddlers elbow.
    Have just been advised to upgrade to Fibre, yeah right they got no chance

    If you don't need any support then TT is for you. I don't and so I'm very happy with TT. I get a stable 36mb download and 9.5 upload. Of course I dumped the TT free router as it was rubbish. I have a Netgear D7000v2 its just replaced an N600. Always use Netgear stuff. Cheap reliable and that's all I need. Been a customer since 2010..upgraded to Fibre just as soon as it was available. Only get Internet and calls from TT never tried the TV package.

    The absolutely worst ISP out there. They will try every which way to manipulate you without providing any level of customer service or even internet service. We used them until the internet was dropping out every few hours. Tried the awful customer service centre based in God knows which country. They run off poorly constructed scripts to keep you on the phone for hours without offering a logical solution. All geared towards you getting frustrated and hanging up. Informed them that the old router needed to be replaced and basically they avoided any hardware change opting to change the configuration. Which didn't work nor was it any better. It takes at least 40/60 mins to get to a person and then they are devoid of any customer service training. Leaving them is much worse as they try every trick to either get you to stay or get you to hang up. Totally useless on every level. I've heard this from many people who have left them. Avoid like the plague. They are expensive and untrustworthy.

    Absolutely rubbish speed.i can hardly load Netflix or anything and it cuts out around 5 times a day and when I called the customer service and I told them the issue they told me "not my problem deal with it yoursef" there is no need for how disappointed I am with the company the broadband is way over priced for what I get from it. I'm discusted

    The worst nightmare of my life regarding broadband provider.15th january 2015 I have been scammed lots of money gone, the man new all my details including my security pass word, how did they get it? If not from a very secure and reliable way. After I reported to the bank to the police and to them (costumer service) I was told they would come back to me within 4 weeks, but! I am still waiting.I then cancelled the contract because I no longer felt safe with them, I now have to pay the contract breakage fee, because according to the law they did nothing wrong, and from £152.85 went up to £209.76, can someone tell me if this is with in the law of the land?

    Honestly don't know where to begin with this shocker of a company.
    I had talktalk at a property I was renting, and had no end of problems, my mother is with them too in a different part of the country but has the exact same problems. If it's not a lack of connection, it's a router issue, if it's not that, it will switch off for weeks on and off or work extremely slowly.
    The customer assistants are awful, but the managers I've spoken to and those in the CEO's office are genuinely helpful, but often "can't see" an issue their end, when there's evidently a problem if I can't load even the talktalk webpage.
    Could not recommend avoiding more, don't be suckered in by the cheap prices, it's really not worth the hassle at all!

    The worst broadband you can get. Don't get TALKTALK! SLOW INTERNET FOR SHORT RANGE. I CAN'T USE MY PHONE UPSTAIRS BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET!!!! IMPROVE YOUR INTERNET SPEED AND RANGE TALKTALK!!!
