    Worst company ever. I found out by chance they owe me a refund since 2017 (of course, because why would they make is easy and refund automatically?) and I can't get them to refund it to me without calling expensive numbers to talk to someone. I've been told thay would call me back but never did. Meanwhile they keep my money!!! CROOKS!!!

    Talktalk is the worst provider yet. 2 weeks now I have had no Internet. Called the customer services to report and after being on hold for 2 hrs the manager hang up on me. No one has since got in touch and to believe I am paying for a service so mediocre and belittling. They should be taken out of business, and to think I still am paying for the contract that is ridiculous. They refuse to let me out the contract when they cant provide me with the agreement of the contract. No one should have to face this. Everyone should speak out get them gone.

    Talk Talk is an utter disgrace. We have had no internet for 3 weeks now. we have been in contact with 5 different people, we have had 3 new routers sent, none work. and then now we have been told that our service has been stopped 2 weeks ago for NO REASON, even though we spoke to someone else today and they did not tell us this. They have stopped our contract for no reason and they are now saying they can't restart it for another 8 days, but they are happily taking our money even though we apparently have no service with them, even they don't understand why our service has been stopped and are looking into it?. It has been the most frustrating experience ever, i am appalled.

    Absolute joke of a company.
    I have been with Talk Talk for years now. My first contract with them seemed to be a good value for the money and I was happy with this. Once my contract came to an end, my bill doubled in price. I would have been happy with this if the service provided was actually decent, but their internet connection was pathetic, so much so that I couldn’t even connect to it when upstairs in my small home.
    I decided to switch broadband providers and began the unnecessarily long process of cancelling TalkTalk.

    After googling their cancellation process, all seemed pretty straightforward as I was not in a contract with them. I was WRONG.
    I first rang in May to do this and was unimpressed when I was told I would have to wait 30days for it to go through and therefore would have to pay an extra month- not what is suggested online.
    I let them know I was unhappy about this and was told I’d be contacted on a given day at a given time.
    I waited for their call but they failed to stick by their own date and times and unfortunately I missed them.
    I was then contacted about my complaint regarding the cancellation but I had no interest in following through as I just wanted to get out.

    Fast forward a few months and my TalkTalk account is still active and bills are piling up?? I rang again to sort this out and was on call for nearly 2hrs and spoke to 3 separate individuals.

    The first member of staff listened to my issues and reviewed my account, telling me she could see that I hadn’t been actively using their service for so many months and that these bills would be removed which I was very appreciative of.
    Next member of staff was to cancel my account (again.) he put this through fairly easy and from this I was aware that I had to pay 2 bills for both times I’ve tried to cancel. I wasn’t 100% with this but just wanted to be done.
    3rd member of staff then informed me that my outstanding bill was just over £200.

    I was not happy at all with this. To be passed from one person to the next and be told different things when all I wanted to do was cancel my account.
    They are so unclear with how it works and it would seem that your outcome depends on which customer service rep you speak to as they all are using different rules.

    The single worst customer service and broadband service I have ever received.

    After complaining profusely about the strength of signal around a fairly small one bedroom apartment and several visits from engineers I was advised that for better service to upgrade to the Faster Fibre option as I had been getting drop outs consistently, and very very low speeds - 0.5 - 1gb/s. We argued hard and felt we were well deserving of a contract break due to the lack of agreed service. We were offered a new deal! Fast fibre broadband with speeds of ATLEAST 32.5 gb/s and here I am posting this review at 5gb/s. After complaining yet again I am stuck in the process of many engineer visits and arguments but I will, with every ounce of spirit I have be rid of this menace to my work and gaming life alike, please heed my advice go with Virgin.

    Absolutely appalling download speeds. Even worse at peak times.
    Unintelligible tech support, technicians try to help but are based in India and I've yet to talk to anyone I could understand.
    Charged for BT Engineer.When faults have been intermittent. Could not and have not ever recommended Talk Talk. No option but to switch.

    If I could give TalkTalk a 0 I would. do not use them.
    1. They lied- said they install ariels and to get the TV
    2. Called back to schedule the ariel after our TV arrived, claimed they didn't say that and I was stuck with the TV
    3. finally got to return the TV package
    4. sent us the wrong size bag to return items
    5. it support hung up on me when asking about how to set up mini starter kit since no helpful links on their own website
    6. said they didn't charge for the TV until it was plugged in- 60 pounds later... I was charged
    7. given late fees since their bank messed up on direct deposit
    8. internet drops constantly
    9. calls drop constantly
    10. whatever you do pick another company.

    just had talk talk broadband fitted phoned them up to ask date and how much was going to come out my bank direct debit my package was 18 pound a month wat to hell these robbing cunts took 89 pound out my bank i went crazy stopped my direct debit that is theft told my bank what they have done woman at bank said she going to stop the payment luckely i went in the bank the day they had withdrawn it disgusting company how many more people they doing that to they cannot get away with that please read this and beware do not go with this company

    TalkTalk's new-look mail is not fit for purpose. Yet again I'm frequently unable to log on and when I finally get on to the page, loading is so slow as to be useless. I've tried to access the trash section repeatedly (to uncheck an inadvertent deletion) and the trash box refuses to appear. When I try to send an email I invariably lose the connection. I've been very patient with this company (helpline is rubbish), but enough is enough and I'm going to switch to another provider - surely nobody else can be as bad!

    Absolutely shocking customer services. I have been without WiFi for TWO MONTHS. at first I was told nothing temporary could be put in place, then after a month they said they have requested a temporary line, I have now been told I can't have it! I have lost my job because of this and have paid over £100 so far in bolt ons. I'm told I can't be compensated until the service is fixed, but they can't fix it, so I cant cancel my contract! DO NOT USE TALKTALK

    Suddenly no internet for a week, called Talktalk, they did send engineer who changed router 2 days ago, a few hours after he left internet not working again, been calling talktalk every day this week and every time have to go through same process, security, then go though whole lots of thing to test everything EVERY SINGLE CALL, even though had been testing everything every single day and still no internet and talktalk claims system is working fine there is no fault, then WHY I DON'T have internet and my router, which is plugged in master socket they installed, is flashing red? They claiming socket is fine too, they want to send new router which will arrive in 3-5 working days even though they replaced my router for new 2 days ago and they have to replace it again? WHY? It is not router! They haven't got a clue what is going on!!!! Appaling service! Avoid!

    I was with talktalk until I had the chance to jump ship without paying early exit fees. So once I arranged for a new service provider to take over, i received a bill from talktalk with £185 early settlement charges. Upon speaking to customer services I was advised that if I call them on Christmas Eve to have the charges reversed. And two managers also confirmed this. A threat of lodging a complaint to OFCOM went in my favour and I received an email within 30 minutes of the phone call reversing the charges

    The next issue was having the credit balance on my account refunded. Firstly it wasn't refunded for 5 weeks until I contact them again, and when they did refund it. The process took 10 days and they rounded it down to the nearest whole pound. I'm now in the process of having the amount refunded but this time it's been rounded up in an attempt to stop me lodging a complaint. Apparently the reason it was rounded down was because a supervisor wasn't available at the time to round the the amount up to the nearest pound. Since when does anyone refund more than the amount you're due?

    The reason I left was because the internet router that was supplied has poor coverage. My house has plasterboard walls. the new providers router copes perfectly

    We had problems from pretty much the start with the broadband, hours during the day where it wouldn't connect. As soon as covid happened and we were working from home we were lenient with how awful the internet was as we assumed the usage across the UK would have gone up. But after several months of it getting worse we contacted the customer service for help. 2 months of 'tests', spending hours speaking to the CS team and getting no where. Promised 4 times that a manager would call us back to discuss the awful service (both from the broadband and the CS service) but a manager never called. Every time I called back, it took about an hour of back and forth, useless chat to get to the end point which was always 'a manager will call you back'. But they never did. The service is disgusting, do not go with TalkTalk. You get pulled into a contract and then that's it that is all they care about. The broadband is awful and they don't look after you at all. DO NOT GO WITH TALKTALK! I have wasted 8+ hours talking to their team and it resulted in nothing.

    Attention!!
    Talk talk it's fraud company, grab money for really bad connection. Guaranteed is 35 mb but in the test have only 10 mb. If you try contact with service, you never get answer. Engineer should be come in 2-3 days but this is never happen. For my Scammers! Better switch for different broadband company.

    To be honest doesn't even deserve the 1 star. I find they add payments, I call to question about added fees and they invent stuff up to justify ta king the payment, for example I had a charge of 2 62 fast broad band from 11th -14th Feb (I unplugged my modem to avoid the charges) I call and they say it's not that it's because of payment change. Very unclear and very unprofessional. I had better service in malta with melita and belive me they are **** but you would think uk would have their **** together. Very poor not worth the hassel and definitely not worth them taking more money with no understandable explanation

    Lousy service. Can't download anything. 3hrs with tech dept last Wed nothing changed. 3hrs with same dept on Thurs nothing changed, said they would escalate it and send out engineer. Fri heard nothing so rang them, nothing about engineer or escalation. They said they would do some more checks and they booked me in for a call back today/Sunday between 4pm/6pm.its 6.30pm now still heard nothing. Never dealt with anyone so incompetent should not be allowed to run a so called company. Avoid like the plague.

    I wouldn’t even rate them a star! Worst customer service and management I’ve seen, I’m lucky I was still under the cooling off period so I didn’t have to pay a cancellation fee. So basically a week in with talktalk and I still have no internet access or landline connection every time I speak to them a different answer that openreach will come out to fix the problem etc. I went back to my old provider Vodafone and because I have a mobile sim contract with them they also have me 50gb of free data to use until they take over the line and the customer service is miles better then talktalk by cheap by twice always remember that in life.     Talk talk service was pretty appalling, the speed of the wifi was abysmal and the cancellation process was made as difficult as physically possible. Would not recommend there services to anyone and will certainly not be a returning customer.

    If I could I would give this company NO stars. Please, please, please read these reviews carefully and DO NOT choose Talk Talk. I placed my order on the 17th September after talking at length with a manager in sales about a fibre broadband engineer install. I placed my order online and selected my install date of Mon 6th October from various options on screen. Within 2 hours I received an email stating that the date for installation had been changed to the 13th October. On the 9th October I received the hardware from Talk Talk ready for the engineer visit. I arranged for my 72 year old ill father to sit in my property from 8am til 1pm to let the engineer in while I was at work. I would like to add that I received a text message from Talk Talk on Friday 10th October confirming the engineers appointment. Guess what?!!! The engineer never arrived. I phoned them up where a chap from India called Ken very kindly informed me that they have now changed the date of my installation to the 27th October. I told him to stick my order up his a**e and cancel it. Can you believe he then wanted me to confirm my details before he could transfer me to the cancellation time at which point I told him to get off the line and never phone me up again. I really couldn't rate this company's customer service any worse than, sorry but I can't write what I'm thnking on this page! They are the most inefficient company I have ever dealt with.

    All was going well until we got a new modem, that has to be reset at least twice per week as it keeps failing. A month ago my emails stopped coming, I called every day for an hour and on the 7th day was told that talktalk had switched from an old to a new platform but had forgot to tell anyone. Took me 17 days to transfer and trawl through what I needed to keep and bin out of 24'800 emails because I could not transfer from the old to new platforms, it also meant that I had to create a lot of new folders.
    Around that time I noticed when going in the members area of any website or when wanting to pay on line for something the page went grey and the message at the top of the page now says internet explorer can not display this page, this means I cant send parcels using people like my hermes or parcel to go because I cant pay and cant get through the selection pages. Cant even get to me ebay myebay page.
    Called talktalk every day for a month now and reported the problem again today, wish I had not because now my PC wont even go online. I am told tht the problem is that I have no internet conection and when I go in the icon bottom right of screen to see where my connection is its missing. Some Indian girl very hard to understand as she read her internet faults for dummies book whilst talking to me said she will report it, again, and it should be okay in 3 days time.
    I have been in contact with some CEO so I have emailed him again, I have so far been given 2 months free of bills, no good if you cant get on line except if you blag a laptop which I have done.
    TALKTALK, tech staff who know nothing, agents you cant understand or cut you off half way through doing something so its lets start again boys and call again.
    The worst company that I have ver dealt with and I am sure that I will now have to find a new provider.
    The current situation is costing me about £20 a day in extra postage unless I can borrow a laptop someplace to print off labels.
    What do talktalk say "I UNDERSTAND" well if you do understand talktalk then get it fixed you donkeys.

    The speed is variable, it moves from 39-52-24-5.5-2 mbps inside of 1 minute. A constant speed 2mbps+ is necessary to stream television. Constant buffering, freezing, cutting out, basically useless. The connection breaks regularly and at times can't be found again leaving me without an internet connection for 24 hours. When I call talktalk they are less rude than they used to be but they now do 'tests' (they are keen that you call them back on your mobile) then say the only option is for an engineer to come out to check their 'wiring' but that they will check my set up and that I must accept that a payment of £60 will be due if the problem is found to be inside the house. I know very little about this technology and will not agree to this as I cannot argue a case against their decision. The connection has come back mysteriously later or the next day. I travel to Europe with my laptop and have difficulties receiving emails into live mail. This I am advised is something to do with the blocks talktalk use. Hopeless, hopeless. Do not touch them.

    The worst one of all. Customer service is absent. The managers are having a laugh. I was overcharged by £80 for two months when they failed to cancel my contract. Response was "I can only apologise" and "Don't think you're paiying too much read at your bill breakdown not just the first page" this is two months after virgin took over. The manager was trying to say I pay good money for something I font use !!!! No comment

    Talk talk have been awful from day one internet drops out constantly, told them this and they offered me an upgrade if I paid, I thought i had already paid for an upgrade when I moved to fibre optic. Called then again today as oddly enough speed tracker doesn’t work, the call cut me off and sent me a message saying if they don’t respond instantly get on with your day... shocking! I called them again to be told I can have a paid for upgrade again, I’m sure the technical team are just sales people. Contract ends in June so looks like they have permission to take my money and give a rubbish service.

    to say my time with talk talk has been bad would be an understatement, month after month of snailband and month after month of phone calls to a team that while very polite ( to the point of inducing disbelief) are completely incompetent, how many tiames will my settings be "reset" with the promise of things improving only for the same ridiculously slow speeds or signal dropping. arggggghh!
    I have to advise STEER CLEAR OF TALK TALK, you have been warned.
    thankfully i am close to the end of the proverbial tunnel so i can leave after which myself nor any members of my family will ever go to this sham of an isp "provider"
    I get a stronger signal from my neighbours internet than my own which is completly ridiculous.

    The broadband provided by Talktalk has always be slow and the technical support you receive during your contract is poor to say the least. But once you try to change providers. The service will suddenly be come non-existence and they will try to blame whoever you are changing to , even though you are still under contract to them and paying for faster broadband. I would not recommend Talktalk to anyone

    You guys are lucky that I am giving you a '1' when you deserve zero. Why should I have to write to you via the postal system or even phone you when this is an issue regarding absolutely woeful internet access/speed. How ridiculous is the fact that I cannot use a simple email method considering I am paying a lot of money to have internet access via your company. It's a bit like being asked to send a message via carrier pigeon during the 2nd world war when phone, radio and morse code were the norm. Come on, do something.

    Can we not awaed zero stars.
    Trouble started even before connection date with the loss of the router. 3 enginneers, no wifi and 14days later i cancelled. But have to pay for 2 months for nothing.
    Then they add charges
    Allow yourself at least an hour per call. I added up the total phone time with a manager... 15.5 hours on the phone in 14 days.
    Must have spoken with over 25 different people and it isnvery difficult to understand anyone at thr company as the spoken English isnt good.
    Managers dont call back
    Please please join another company.
    The stress and hassle we had had has been immense.
    Disgraceful.

    Only joined them 3 weeks ago and all I can say is regret. The max speed of their fibre optic is 27 MB. There are times I have had no broadband, for hours in fact. Very disrupting. I will definitely not continue with them.

    If we could recieve any worse a service within the year we have been within them, i would be suprised. The broadband has never worked properly, and talktalk have blamed it on everything possible, but never admitted to it being a fault at their. A highly unreliable service, with terrible technical support. Spent a year trying to resolve constant connections issues. It is infuriating.

    Talktalk still fail to understand that providing broadband that is slow and unreliable, supported by a customer service centre based thousands of miles away, is a recipe for continual failure.

    Ready to join TalkTalk?...

    Then you ALSO need to ready for the following:

    Being lied to, repeatedly, by TT's staff members. Regardless of whether they're in the CEO's Office, or in one of TT's many outsourced cust. service centres in India, you WILL be lied to... quite often, in fact, so do be prepared for it.

    TT, in my experience, also have a nasty, and regular, habit of dipping their thieving mitts in to a customers' bank account and taking out monies that have no bearing whatsoever on... well, anything at all really! (a.k.a. outright theft).

    (TT's favourite practice, in order to facilitate aforesaid thievery, is to get you to agree to pay via Direct Debit so they can take out money whenever they feel like it).

    If you are a TT customer, and have agreed to this, you will quickly discover the wisdom behind this decision, particularly if you're someone who checks your bank statement frequently!).

    Oh, what else.. Well, there's so many things to tell you, but you know when I said that you will be lied to by TT? (very often). Well, the lying isn't just verbal, as it also extends to WRITTEN LYING, e.g. the service that you bought from them via their on-line advertising and other published or printed paperwork.

    Here's an example: You see their ad, saying that you'll get XYZ internet speed, and you end up getting just a tiny fraction of that speed.. and also with terrible quality to boot!

    I begrudge giving talktalk one star, as any rating above zero indicates at least some degree of satisfaction, and that is not the case in my own experience.

    I don't normally write reviews but in this instance felt the urge. When reading reviews I generally feel that unhappy people tend to write them rather than happy ones - "everything is fine so why write one"! But it's worth doing your research and reading some reviews.
    I've been with TT for a couple of years and everything has been fine until 3 month ago when my broadband speed plummeted. Since this time their customer service have been an absolute nightmare to deal with, numerous phone calls, engineer visits and empty promises and still a rubbish speed. To summarise; when everything is working they're OK, but if anything goes wrong - forget it. Avoid this company!!!!

    TALKTALK is the most deceitful companies in Britain. Stay away from TalkTalk if you don't want to be conned big time. It's been weeks since they conned me, then overcharged me and I sent an official email to complain. I also sent a "PM" on their facebook page as they requested and I'm still waiting for a resolution after more than a month. Shameless and unscrupulous company.

    My internet has not worked since April 2015. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't work for days. I have filed complaints on at least 15 separate occasions. Needless to say my internet is not working today and hasn't for the past week. I have resorted to tethering my internet from my phone. Not only has my issue not been resolved, but I was refused any sort of refund for services I have not received yet have been paying for. Worst of all, although apparently every call was logged, when I called they said that only ONE fault was logged, out of 15! I asked them to cancel my contract because I have no service, which they happily agreed to as long as I completely paid out the contract. Needless to say, I am utterly disgusted by TalkTalk and their customer service. If I could give them -10000000000000 stars I would. I am still paying for a service I don't have.

    You should be ashamed TalkTalk.

    After changing to talktalk from sky as they were cheaper I have had 7 months of poor service due to a fault on my line which of course effects the phone broadband and tv service. I called, emailed and wrote letters to get this sorted. It is finally fixed but this has not improved the broadband speed or tv reception and now I am still stuck in this contract for another 12 months. AVOID IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER BUT YOU DON'T EVEN GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
