Worst broadband service provider I've ever had. Slow, disconnections, terrible included router, poor customer service.

Also very high hidden charges for calls. Also billed for a plan I never asked for with no refund.

Been with these a long time. Now they are total garbage! Customer service give me the run round, I dont understand what the people in customer service are saying, they seem to be based in a different country and they are certainly out to pull the wool over my eyes regarding not informing me that my contract date is soon to expire, so they charge me double on my latest bill. I have been hung up on twice in two days trying to sort it out. The do not seem customer orientated, Its about profit and bottom line not customer satisfaction. In recent months I have read talktalk have had big problems with security. Plus they are most probably paying Simon Cowell and the other three judges on the X Factor way too much so that's is one reason they now feel they have to fleece existing customers. Well they can X Factor off!!!

Avoid Talk Talk don't buy broadband from them.
Ive bought a broadband that should start working on 13 November. Today is 19 November at is still not working. I`ve lost 6 hours spent on phone and chat - no resuls. Service is completly useless and do not help at all. (Be ready to transfering to around 5 different people and book 45min to chat with nothing).
I had to cancel this service and they sent me a bill to pay - for what? Im asking. Is not even started working...
Now I have to wait 14 days for new broadband. Summarizing thanks to Talk Talk I have to wait arounn full one month for a Internet connection. Never buy anything from them becouse they will send you useless broadband and you will have to buy broadban from other supllyer at the end. Wast of time - nobody can refund your personal time but they don care about it.

    AWFUL SERVICE! STAY CLEAR!

Awful company. Firstly we have been with them for 4 years, moved home 8 months ago and they started a new 18 months contract without telling us that we only just found out about. Secondly, since moving our broadband constantly dropping out 6 months ago. Made a complaint and it was briefly sort out. 5 weeks ago it started happening again to the point we could not use it. Made a complaint again and they told us that we can cancel our contract without paying a fee, but we have to give them 28 days to solve the issue first. I agreed even though we did let them know 6 months ago it wasn't working. Arranged for another provider to take over 4 days after TalkTalk release us from our contract. Just got a bill for £300+ for ending the contract early. Called them and they said there was never any complaint logged and deny the fact I have had no less that 14 calls in the past 28 days from them trying to troubleshoot the issue. I have all the calls recored. But the advisors have been very rude and completely useless. Total of 7.5 hours on the phone to them since this began. Am complaining to the Ombudsman .

    AWFUL SERVICE! STAY CLEAR!

A terrible company to deal with. Moved into a new property and went with talk talk, took over a month to get an installation it went two weeks over switch on date. Once installed have had slow speeds, conection just dropping out, have complained various times and keep getting fobbed off. The use call centres in India and they have no idea what they are talking about and it takes ages to get a complaint resolved.

    Poor Customer Service
    They dont call you back
They promise stuff and then dont keep the promise
Offer credits and then dont give you them
Broadband is of poor quality, drops out etc.

My complaint has been on going for 4 months.

Speaking on behalf of a client who will be leaving Talktalk tomorrow due to them failing to repair her broadband which has been offline for over 2 months and also lied on more than one occasion, also failed to book technician's on 4 occasions, and wanted to check inside the property more than once even though OpenReach confirmed the problem was at the exchange or Talktalk itself and not in the home...NO MORE....NEVER AGAIN...

Also talktalk business beware: you are using outdated and insecure email servers (less secure than regular talktalk accounts)

Also personal details are being leaked to 3rd party companies to scam customers (I have actual evidence to support this).

TALKTALK NEEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN NOW!

Appalling company. Utilities are generally a pain to deal with...but TalkTalk manage to lower the bar by a mile!
    Customer Service - hellish
    Quality of connection - terrible
Website - designed to hide info and fail to deliver basic functions

I am now paying them good money to simply leave me alone.
For anyone thinking about using Talktalk...don't. Whatever their special offer rate is..or marketing claims. It is simply not worth it.

We were with Tesco broadband, but we 'sold' to TalkTalk. Our monthly bill went from £20 to £30 in 3 months, while the internet became nigh-on unusable - the last download speedtest recorded just 0.26 Mbs! Now with BT and have 150x that speed for no more money.

My aunty had an issue where she has forgotten the password and email address to her talk talk account as it was made so long ago, she answered all the other questions correctly only these two she forgot she could not pass security and they had no alternative options of resetting it until she finds these details they said. Complete joke every company has an alternative option and can use other security data questions to get into the account as all she wanted to do was cancel her broadband. The people on the phone were no help what so ever spoke to 5 different departments and go no where in the end decided to have a chat from their website live chat only reasonable person was Asanda who kindly explained that we should try to find these details on letters we recieved in the beggining when we set up which was (7 years ago) and then explained that if we cannot find it we can call a number to help us. She was very kind and great better than anyone on the phone. On the phone it feels like you repeat yourself or speak to robots. Rubbish company, rubbish service DO NOT RECOMMEND

Broadband didn’t work for the first 6 weeks which I never received the refund for after numerous times of trying to contact the very shabby customer support. Broadband often slow and not working. My bill went from £26 to £36 to £52 for the last few months over 2 years which is obscene. Would seriously recomend not getting involved with talktalk.

Absolutely disgusting Customer Service from both staff and Manager from Broadband department. I had just a very small issue which they kept on Lieing to me making me feel stupid and thinking am a fool. They made me wait more than 15 days to just get my internet line sorted and never got it sorted. They are never helpful and not genuine at all. You can here them sighing over the phone absolutely no care policy. I will never ever trust or get anymore further products and services from this organisation. Do Not ever fall for there deals. They only want sale they won't help you further

Have been having issues with internet not working or very poor internet speeds ever since joining TalkTalk. I average 3mbs in download speeds. Well below the guaranteed minimum speed. When speaking to customer technical services it is clear that they have no technical expertise and are just speaking off a transcript. They take you through some basic troubleshooting measures which I've already done. When you explain you've already done these issues they put you on hold and ignore or hang up. I complained about this to customer services based under their complaints code and it was clear the advisor who was dealing with me had not read my email but just the subject title and replied with the repeated list of common troubleshooting tips that the previous technical customer advisors had been telling me. When I replied with another email explaining that he clearly has not read my email he just replied that I should take broadband speeds issues with technical team. However, the technical is what I am having issues with and he would of understood this if he read my email. They just waste your time and take you through an endless loop. Complaints are not dealt with seriously in this company.

Despite a few of the reviews that I looked at for Talk Talk I decided to go with them anyway for the Simply Broadband connection with 1/2 price for 6months and a love to shop voucher.
It took Talk Talk 21 days to get round to giving us a connection. The line since has not worked and have been unable to do anything more than simply load google and most of the time the internet is simply not working at all.
after the customer service employees passing me round the office and getting me on my hands and knees to dismantle the hardware that was meant to have been installed correctly, they informed me that they would have to send out an engineer (that was origionally meant to come within 5 days, then 2 weeks, then a month and a half).
apart from having no internet, the voucher they promised in the package never turned up and after an hour of being on the phone to them found out that they had cancelled it a month ago (even though I had previously inquired into this and they told me nothing of the sort). They then offered me the money from the voucher off from my bill. Not only did this not happen but they then over charged me on 2 months worth of bills.
After being on hold for 30 minutes I decided to call another day. The service I received was beyond inadequate and then having to talk to an entire team of people who cannot understand me or I them made the icing on the cake for a overally disappointing experience.

Do not touch Talk Talk. I moved house in November, they tried to get an engineer out to connect me who couldmy do it. They arranged another visit for two weeks later, I took a day off work and waited for the engineer who never turned up, I then get a call from talk talk asking why I missed appointment. I told them I didn't, they then said the next date is two weeks time. All through the process I paying loads of money calling them with no one helping and many people putting the phone down on me. I finally get it fixed, I was going to officially complain but they make it such a task couldn't be bothered. Two mothers later I think it's all sorted I am charged for a miss callout which is £50. I call them to explain hoping they would have notes, told by a manger that there is nothing that they can do but will make a complaint in my behalf.

Absolute joke. The worst customer service I've ever received and if I leave them I would.

Reading these post which articulate everything I am feeling makes me feel slightly better. Broadband speeds next to nil. Over a month now and our fault incident has been CLOSED 3 times! Engineer visited the house and said internally all fine. And Open Reach would be out the following Tues/ Wed/Thurs....you guessed it, nope, called and after an hour of excuses, they admitted they had no idea why they didn't turn up. A week later another visit scheduled, even phoned me to confirm. NO SHOW......today phoned again to be told complaint closed down AGAIN. How can they get away with this? Next engineer visit scheduled for next Thursday. Avoid like the plague.

For many years I was a contented customer of Virgin Broadband. The service was quick and reliable with no problems re.outage etc.

Then Virgin shunted all their non-fibre customers to Talk Talk. Little to no warning and no opportunity for us to shop around and find another user.

Since the changeover I have had broadband for about 1 in every 4 days-if that. The signal is invariably non-existent. Calls to Talk Talk have resulted in platitudes but no action. The best I have had is that my router is "probably not a very good one".

Talk Talk are "sorry to hear" that I have no service. But it begins and ends there. I have had all the equipment tested, ditto the line. All working. So it is their service and their ability to provide one. 100%.

The most animated one of their agents has yet been was when I said I was going to another provider.

They then said that would be "in breach of contract"-although I have never entered into a contract with them. They added this would incur them charging me for doing same.

I am now paying for BT Fon so I can at least do some work and have some sort of service.

Meanwhile, for the umpteenth time, Talk Talk are "sorry to hear" that I have no service. But that is as far as it goes.

They are incompetent and their ability to deliver a service or attend to issues or faults is not so much non existent-they simply do not bother to address them in the first place.

    Avoid at all costs.

The most efficient department of Talk Talk is their cancellation service... What a waste of time! I paid for Talk Talk, they said you'll have internet within 7 days (no engineer required). I thought great, sounds good. They rang up a few days later, said I did need an engineer and the only appointment available was in 2 weeks on a day I couldn't do. They said they would ring back. Never did. Sent me a text with confirmation of the engineer appointment I couldn't make. I spent an hour on the phone waiting to speak to an operator to tell them about their mistake and my frustration. They said the next available appointment after that would be over 3 weeks. What a joke. They couldn't offer any solutions and had no info or help to give. Don't go with them, the awful reviews are for a reason. Their customer service is about as premium as a packet of Space Invaiders crisps.

The worst company I have ever dealt with & the worst provider I, or any of my family have ever used. The signal and reliability is terrible, they have never sent me a bill, contract pack, or even notified me of an increase. The customer service team, having spoken to several people, do NOT know what they are doing. They are an absolute shambles. Even asking me for the wrong details on my bank card and telling me I’m wrong when In fact I was correct. Multiple calls arranged with managers who NEVER call. The worst company I have ever dealt with.

I'm forced to give them one star. I would give negative stars if there were the option. This is not just the worst ISP that I have ever dealt with, this is the worst *company* that I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Let me begin my sorry tale of woe. I switched to TalkTalk in August 2015 (from Sky) because I was moving house and I wanted to try an ISP other than Sky (have had zero issues with Sky). After about 3 months, in October 2015, TalkTalk were hacked (apparently it wasn't even tough to do this) and TalkTalk's site was unusable for months after the hack, also everyone in my household started receiving scam calls (never happened before) of all varieties, so clearly, all of my personal data had gone for a toss. I moved house in November 2016 (after 15 months on my TalkTalk contract). I called TalkTalk and told them about the move: They offered me two options - Option 1) Leave them and pay for 2 months of internet and break fees Option 2) Stay with them and enter into a new contract for another 18 months at a higher rate than my existing rate. Not wanting to pay the massive break cost, I asked them to put me on the new contract. When I moved to my new residence, on the go-live date OpenReach set everything up and confirmed that all was done at their end but that TalkTalk had not switched on broadband at the exchange. I called TalkTalk and informed them and two more times I was forced to take half days off from work to get visits from OpenReach engineers who all confirmed that it was a TalkTalk fault. By now, I'd had enough. I called them and asked them to terminate my contract with no break fees because they had clearly not been able to give me an internet connection for an entire month and a half. They said ok and said they would not charge me. A few days later, I received an email for the final bill which included payment for 2 months of internet usage in advance, in the future (No clue how anyone could come up with this, I'm honestly not making this up, I have all the emails). I called them (each call takes not less than an hour and a half due to their customer service being the worst that I have encountered in my entire life) and made them agree to take all the charges off. I had to do this several times, with several different teams since they kept putting the charges back (and they hadn't even provided me with a single byte of data). I've been through hell and back with TalkTalk, I've moved back to Sky (who had my internet up and running instantly) and I decided to post this review here so that other people don't have to go through the agony that I went through with TalkTalk. Don't ever, ever, ever choose this ISP. By the way, in case you are unaware, the same year they got hacked, their CEO, Dido Harding awarded herself with a 2.12 million pound bonus (apart from her 550,000 base pay). Well, what can I say, she clearly deserves it!

Never have I ever come across such appalling customer service in my life. I am over 70 and feel due to my age Talk Talk took advantage of this. If my daughter and son-in-law had not stepped in they were trying to bill me £186 when I was no longer with them and had not received any service from them for some time. An absolute disgrace

TalkTalk is literally the worst broadband. The internet continuously goes and yet I am still paying. I called in for them to come and fix it. When someone finally came (a month later whilst I am still paying) I was told they didn't know how to.
They need better customer service and they also need to make it better!

I got very slow broadband and insyantly drop off the line for last month.

I called TALKTALK customer services three times: twince two weeks ago and once today.

The service team members are hopeless: made good promises but did not do any better. I spent two hours with them passing three sets of people but no boday solved tbe problem.
I have been with it for last ten years and the router is the same age. I suggested to change a new router but they regused....
Very disappointed with today service and hope the top level management can see the message and improves its service.
Anyway, i will have to leave the company...

Support lie to you all the time to get you off the phone. Constantly passing you around in circles in different departments then say "try again in a week".

Route is rubbish as it keeps losing connection in the evenings. Just avoid.

Absolutely shocking product delivery and customer service I have ever received in my whole life!
Months of complaints and stress and never getting promised speeds. When I finally decided to move provider, they put me through hours of call centres all over the world with delay tactics and not allowing me to leave the contract without paying penalty fees.
The most unfair and fraudulent company.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH TALK TALK.

Awful speed, redtricts service as shoots up when you phone and drops again when end call! Overcharges by sneaking extra products onto your bill without informing you and refuses to give refunds! Do not use, as bad as bt and sky. Virgin much better!

Customer services are hopeless; staff appear to have little understanding of the English language. Broadband speed is far lower than expected and it drops 3-4 times per week. Will change to another provider as soon as my contract is up.

Please please don’t sign up with TalkTalk. They are unquestionably the worst broadband provider on the market. CustomerCare is a call centre in a third world country where the untrained call handlers just guess. Yep, that’s right. They guess. It’s now day 5 of our internet not working and we are still no nearer a solution. Apparently it’s because the phone exchange has developed a fault for their product only. No other homes on our road are affected. Just us because we are talktalk customers. When it is working it’s painfully slow with many breaks in coverage. Choose Anyone else, you’ll thank me.

Never ever take out any Talk Talk package whatsoever. The most appallingly poor technical support I have ever experienced. I have total loss of service for TV, Broadband, & Phone Line. I operate my business from home, I have incurred hundreds of pounds of losses due to not bring able to be online. After 5 working days of being without any services Talk Talk are not able to tell me what the problem is, when it will be sorted, they won't let me cancel, they leave you days without any contact. I've never been so disgusted by a company. Please, please do not use them.

My worst experience I have had in my life.
    1) Customer service totally incompetent.
    2) I paid for a fiber connection with a 60Mb / Sec speed, but in reality the download speed was 6 Mb / Sec (when I was lucky).
I told Talk Talk about this problem with over ten letters and hours on the phone with the customer service, nobody was interested in my case and nobody was able to solve the case.
I absolutely do NOT recommend this telephone company.
