Have been with TalkTalk for a number of years now and can honestly say I have been pleased with their service. We live in an old property in a country setting some 5/6 miles from the nearest telephone exchange. We recently had a problem with drop out. TalkTalk sent out an engineer after a very helpful discussion with tech support, who very patiently tried to sort out any problems at our end. The engineer left us with a clean service and a speed of 8.5. No charge from TalkTalk. What did emerge from the visit was the number of devices in use at our home - 19! How many of us add and add modern technology without any thought to how these are used. We have now arranged to have fibre installed, which apart from an increased speed, should enable us to increase our devices up to 38. I can easily see us getting up there when the family turn up in any number!

I appear to have made a terrible mistake moving to TALKTALK!
I moved to TALKTALK in June 2014. Although I was with AOL, my provider was BT, it was slow (4mb/s) but reliable, with few disconnections from 2005. I was persuaded to change to TT because the combined cost of phone and broadband was cheaper than BT, although, since TT had taken over AOL internet, it also seemed sensible to be with that supplier.
I started to have intermittent internet problems about 3 weeks after I started with TT. I phoned the company and was asked a number of questions about my setup. I explained that only the modem and ISP have changed. Naturally, I went along with the questions and after they completed their tests, each time, my internet came back on. After a time it would go back off, usually in the morning, although my computer showed I was still connected to TT. I would phone the free landline number 08704441820, again after an unusual conversation with someone from Delhi, the internet light would appear on my modem, without any interaction from me, and I would be back online. Over a number of phone calls it became obvious that it was the provider that was causing the problem and not my set up. How would it be possible to regain internet connection when I had done nothing? I must assume this will continue until the end of my contract.

So, unless you wish to waste time, money and effort with a useless company, stay away from TALKTALK.

Have had to have the router replaced 3 times in 24 months due to faults. Technical help are no help, sending you on circular routes of the same advise - top tip, ask for an engineer visit, they will never offer one.

When trying to disconnect, they have hung up on me 4 times in total, and lied about the amount of notice required (is it 30 days or 7?).

No better on their Twitter, if you make it clear you want to leave, just ignore your tweets. If this is how private industry behaves, give me nationalised industries any day of the week.

Sadly they seem to use the same non-UK based call centres as BT. The staff are clearly following a script and have very little technical knowledge and no idea of customer service. I spent over an hour repeating myself and getting more and more frustrated. The customer loyalty team where UK based and much more knowledgeable and trained in dealing with customers and so much more helpful. I had exactly the same experience with BT. I will be moving to another provider as soon as my contract ends.

Talk Talk is the worse company that I have ever been with, the internet connection is nearly inexistent and so bad that I have to switch my phone to 3G! I pay money for no reason at all and I couldn't cancel my contract unless I payed a huge sum which was very annoying. 'Lowest price broadband company' you get what you pay for as it is cheap!

    I LOATH TALKTALK!

I have never came cross such a horrible service in my life. I absolutely regret being with talktalk. I don't have words to explain my frustration right now but I am really very angry and irritated. I am not usually very unpleasant and unfriendly as a person but these guys made me shake with anger. So, Where do I start,
On 4/5 June,my house mate made a complaint about the internet (Before I did ring them loads of times but they managed to sweet-talk me). He almost managed to prove his point about horrible speed and asked the consultant on phone to transfer the call to disconnection department. And that's it, phone got CUT! Then on 29 June I again called them and explained everything and they said they are very sorry for the service and they want one last chance to make amends. They said they will send an engineer to have a look. I being very naive, fell into the nonsense. The engineer was available only after 11 days so I asked them to confirm the booking for 10 July. On 10 July, as expected (Now), no one turned up, no engineer nothing. So I called them again today on 08 number. I was angry and irritated already but I thought I should give them one more chance to explain. I was talking to the manager who asked me to do loads of things with modem and laptop like 'switch this on' and 'un-wire this' and that. Finally he asked me to open this site on browser to check the speed of my interent and you guys will be shocked to know that I was getting 0.55 mbps speed!!! I am suppose to get 9.5-12 mbps and I was getting 0.55 (I still can't believe it) anyway he obviously understood my frustration and said let me make notes of your case and transfer you to the cancellation department and guess what?? The call got disconnected again!!! No no no... now I lost it, I lost it completely and I called them again and almost shouted at them to connect me to the disconnection department. Now at that department which was suppose to be called as some 'Costumer retention department (Biggest irony ever!)'Some guy was talking in very indifferent tone as if he gives a damn about customers. I was super angry and was shouting and shaking on phone and he was like 'we can cancel your contract but you will have to pay 45 pounds.' Trust me when I say this, I couldn't believe my ears, 43 POUNDS!!!! What for???? but he kept on going on and on and on and I was so fade-up that I told him to cancel the bloody thing and put me out of my pain. I also told him that I will think that I did some charity because talktalk is so pathetic that it needs some charity to improve. Its like a diseased service. Now that is my story. So if you want to go for talktalk. go ahead but remember they are diseased company and will give you only pain and disappointment.

This experience also made me think. Why should we put up this crap? Why should we give our hard earned money to such companies? Is there no way I can get justice? Is there no way I can get compensation? I was getting 0.55 mbps and was paying for 9.5 mbps for 6 months. We all see there is some injustice, then what do I do? Because I don't believe in getting mad, I believe in getting even. and I want to get EVEN!

Please help if anyone can. and please lets not just write these bad experiences, lets do something about it!!

Broadband connection was fine howeve there customer service team in India is without doubt the worst I have ever came across.

I called to in May giving the required notice of 1 month as I was leaving the property in June. To my surprise I then received a bill on 10th July trying to charge me for the following the month.

Calling through the call centre is a horrid experience. They claimed I had never called to cancel , basically calling me a liar , and that the only record they have of me calling is in April (I had never called them in April , or infact at all prior to May).

After being passed to 4 separate people and having to repeat the issue AND customer details every single time it was finally cancelled. This took approximately 2 hours.

They claim the account is now cancelled and no further charges will be applied. I am not holding out much hope that this is infact the case......

Seriously stick with Virgin/Sky/BT. Its not worth the hassle.

Terrible customer service but always seem to end up renewing contract as they do great deals. Just recently taken their TV package with them but was not told that their you view box completely takes over the signal from the TV and that you are unable to watch TV unless the you view box is on. (After spending 4 hours on three different TVs trying to figure out what has happened to TV signal). Was looking forward to having extra channels but not paying through the nose. So now have useless box to store as use regular TV more than anything else (energy saving) and don't have extra channels. Dissapointed to say the least.

    The Worst broadband company ever!
I regret the day i Took a contract with them!
The internet is poor, not reliable at all and it just dissapears all the time.
For first 5months all was fine except the slow speed, but then the internet dissapeared every single day.
I called them every single day and complained and all they did was making never ending excuses, each time different!
I agreed to get an engineer sent to my Home and he came he didnt check or explain nothing, just changed the router and left!
And after I received bill of £50 for the engineer visit!
    That is absurd!
Worst thing is,i still have issues with the broadband and i absolutely don't agree with paying 50quid for one dodgy engineer who didn't do nothing!
This company is stealing big time!
    Can't wait to finish contract!
Actually i consider of cancelling after this!
    NIGHTMARE!

Rubish, worst company I have ever dealed with. They don't have a slightest clue about customer service. Every time you call them, they lie out of their underpants, saying - Madam, it will be resolved in 48 hours. In fact it is not and other lies are created, even blaming concurents and saying that others are not better then they are.DON'T go there, it will be your worst enemy.

I'm regret that there're no more options of the ratings. What I want to say is the rating of TalkTalk far below one stat. I used to be a customer of the company for more than 2 years. I don't want to say more words about the inferior services and the nightmare of the broadband which offered by TalkTalk. I just hope anybody who are seeing the reviews here to avoid the company. Do not waist your money and time to experience the worst broadband service.

I've been with talk talk for many years. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. We did have a lot of problems with the broadband reliability, but we changed our router and have had no problems since, so it must have been a problem with the router. I have spoken with customer services on quite a few occasions. I find them rather tedious to talk to, but nonetheless helpful. The customer services staff are in India, and so the communication can be a bit more difficult, and they are obviously taught to keep repeating back your request, which is a bit annoying. They are usually quite good at talking you through any problems and are quite helpful I have found. There are high number of bad reviews on this site, and it makes me wonder if it is mostly those with problems that bother to leave a review unfortunately. I don't think it gives you a good feel for what the company is really like, because like I say, I have many dealings for many years and have had pretty good service.

Change your direct debts tell u one price n take a lot more! Customer services wouldn't even bother! A £22.90 a mth package has left me in 400 debt all because customer service didn't understand me asking to set a a direct debt up"! So now app I owe 3 mths which is 165! Yes 165 that's on a 22.90 package not got a levels in mths but by my adding up should only be 68.70 ! I explained I had rung serval times to set direct debt up and they'll have records as all calls are recorded for training. Nobody on customer service speaks or understands English .this isn't my fault !I have arranged to pay 30 a mth off the bill off 165, plus 24.90 for the package.Been told unless I pay the bill off they will be no service! So I said I want to cancel the 2 year contract as they miss sold me it in first place.can do that but I have to pay 369.48! So either way I get a massive bill n they'll be cutting my package. Fuming isn't the word! I have put a complaint in to talk talk. Am also writing to the ombudsman.

Horrible Horrible Horrible company!! Stay as far away from them as possible!! using their phone and broadband service and suddenly everything just stopped working. No warning of work in the area or anything like that.

logged a fault issue and was told I will be updated within 48 hrs. They updated saying due to vandalism on one of their cables, there was a fault with the exchange. A day later they got my phone line working. only trouble is they had given me a different telephone number. However, they still sent me a txt saying the problem is now fixed. 5 days had passed at this stage!

contacted them again to tell them i still couldn't get on the internet and my line had been changed. They then raised another 'ticket' with the openreach engineers and was told I had to wait for an update. 3 days later still no update. Contacted them again, then was told that the engineers couldn't find anything wrong, so they were re-issuing the ticket. Got a txt saying an engineer will be dispatched to the property. I would knw the time of the visit in 48 hrs. This is now 10 days.

As sooon as the line is fixed, I am cancelling my service with them!!

BTW, this is happening right in the middle of the world cup. I watch TV online and do basically everything online. A complete headache!!!

Their customer service is piss poor. They are more interested in arguing with you than solving your problem. A bunch of complete and utter incompetent twats!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

I just got set up with TalkTalk on the 30th of June. Since the set up I haven't been able to access wireless internet. The connection seems to be working with an ether cable, but not the wifi connection. I have spent two days dealing with their technical department in India, and they even acknowledge that there is a fault with the modem. Rather than saying they will send me a new faultless modem, they suggested to send over an engineer to fix the problem and charge me 50 Pounds for it.

I have never heard or encountered this kind of practice before. Is it legally allowed to charge new customers for a faulty product on delivery? Is TalkTalk not supposed to send me a new modem to fix the problem or send somebody over free of cost? Can I legally get out of this 12 month contract, which just started two days ago? The worst part is that I had to wait one month before the proper engineer came by, and now I can’t use the modem they sent me.

For now, just steer clear. Good download speed most of the time, but I have to frequently reboot to get the connection back and recently the upload speed has been consistantly diabolical. Upload speed never used to be this bad it used to be 0.60meg which is fine, but right now with the same 4meg download speed the upload speed seems to be stuck on a pathetic 0.05meg - I might as well be on dialup..! Despite calling customer service several times over the last month the issue is still not resolved. The customer service team are based mostly in India, and to be fair they are really nice and do their best to help, but at the end of the day they can only do so much with their hands tied behind their back by those above. AVOID.

Never help or honour contract. My upload speed was as low as 0.75. How many days I was on phone for hours then cut off. They told me I had to pay for engineer. It was ok just reset etc. after several months of this I left and complained. Found out by new supplier it was a faulty router so down to them. Talktalk offered £5 only joke. See this going to Court Now.

Firstly, technical help is non-existent. You have to post any problems on the 'Talktalk Community Forum' and hope somebody out there can help. The router arrived with minimal set-up help and after set-up kept swiching off after a while after being idle. Little did I know it has a default standby mode of 1hr 59 mins, I only discovered this by googling it, I had to go into the advanced router settings to alter it.Then came the nightmare if creating a Talktalk email account - back to the Talktalk community for assistance. I set up all the incoming/outgoing server settings, ports, security settings etc for both POP and IMAP accounts but all to no avail. I spent days trying but I gave up eventually and created an outlook.com account in minutes!
The single positive thing about this company is that the speed seems to be be constant - that is when I'm not re-setting the router. It's a 12 month contract and I am seriously thinking of buying myself out of this dreadful experience. I really regret having anything to do with Talktalk.

TalkTalk are without doubt the worst service provider that I have ever had the misfortune of being involved with. Their sales team will say anything to get your bank details, the service is intermittent and that is backed up by a team of liars in Preston UK, South Africa and wherever it is in Indian where they teach staff to be rude to customers.

I am now sick of their lies so I am leaving them but they are refusing to pay compensation for a fault that has been running for the past 3 months because they say they haven't resolved it yet - I have given up on calling them now because they put you on hold for hours then drop calls or even deliberately hang up on you (after telling you they'll hang up!).

    My advice? AVOID TALKTALK!!!!!

aggh TalkTalk customer service is SO SO BAD!! They cut off our old internet and took weeks to connect the new one. Then it didn't work. After repeated excruciating phonecalls they sent a BT engineer who said that the problem was the TalkTalk router and he'd tell them to send a new one. Which didn't come... cue more excruciating phonecalls with awful voice recognition, long waits, and staff in the Philippines following long winded, excessive thankful-for-your-wait, but useless scripts... The people in Preston I spoke to when I threatened to leave were very nice though - they must be very practised at talking to angry customers.

Talk talk cannot be even considered an Internet provider. Their service is appalling. The speed is ridiculous.
They told me that a download speed of 0,61 Mb/s is normal... and that if I wanted to improve the speed I should buy the fibre...
I will cancel the contract immediately

Never ever take out any Talk Talk package whatsoever. The most appallingly poor technical support I have ever experienced. I have total loss of service for TV, Broadband, & Phone Line. I operate my business from home, I have incurred hundreds of pounds of losses due to not bring able to be online. After 5 working days of being without any services Talk Talk are not able to tell me what the problem is, when it will be sorted, they won't let me cancel, they leave you days without any contact. I've never been so disgusted by a company. Please, please do not use them.

Unfortunately, in October 2013 I made a major mistake of changing my provider for broadband and telephone to TalkTalk, if you want to maintain a level of sanity, do not go anywhere near talktalk. They sell you one thing and charge you something else,Their customer service reps are completely incompetent, one of the most aweful service . Beware guys think million times before u get your service. i don't have internet in my house for about 18 days now. I have called then so many times but still the problem is there. I then had to wait two weeks for an engineers visit, who told me that the problem was caused by the signal being split going into the box, and that this was a common problem, and that I would need to get a signal booster because Talk Talk don't provide them. This possibility was never mentioned to me by Talk Talk.
RUBBISH Average speed 1.9MB, customer service really bad.Really rubbish service. Better to pay more expensive service but reliable.
This is the worst company I have every dealt with. I paid my bill including the phone line & broadband 1 year in advance on a discount rate & they are still charging my debit account a monthly charge for the broadband & I spoke to their customer service 10 times about this mistake but no response. As others have said on this forum, the customer service is absolutely appalling.

I recommend anyone to stay well clear of Talk Talk. Awful customer service and awful products. It took over 2 months to get a simple wifi issue out that was blatantly a router issue from day one, but took threats of the ombudsman and cancelling my contract for them to send me a new router which worked perfectly as soon as I plugged it in.

Their call centres are all overseas and if you have an issue that is not on the script of their 'tests' then you won't get it fixed.

    STAY WELL AWAY!

Just give this crowd a wide birth. They will set a deal with you by phone send you confirmation paper work that has nothing to do with the deal you made. Most of the staff are foreign and you will have trouble understanding them.I took out an 18 month contract included in the package was a tv box. This box will not scan for channels.I was told that if I paid by card on the 15 th of each month I would get a discount for the first 6 months. They have no knowledge of this deal and the box is still not working. The best speed I have managed with this lot is 6 on a good day with the wind behind me.I would see this as more of a "scam" than a service, will be off to the bank in the morning to cancel the lot.

Please follow the advice of others and steer well clear. These guys have absolutely no idea what they're doing. I now have 2 accounts set up with them, that I have not been able to cancel, because after being passed from pillar to post - "Sorry, they've put you through to the wrong department. We can't help you." - and spending over 2 hours to them on the phone, the only thing they've managed to achieve is to set up accounts so that they can take money from my bank account. I have no service whatsoever. Having taken holiday to make sure I was in for the engineer, between the delightfully precise times of 'between 1 - 6', they simply cancelled my engineer on the basis that my address was not registered with Royal Mail. At least my postman's a genius - he's been delivering mail for weeks, so he's obviously got some serious skills! No-one had the courtesy to let me know that no-one would be coming out. A new account was then set up to remedy the problem, but this according to the slaes person's colleague was the wrong thing to do. When I complained and said I needed this resolved, I was promised a call back the next day. One thing I can say for these guys...they're reliably useless. They didn't call. When I rang to complain, I was cut off before I got through to 'the right department'. I don't think they have one of these. All departments are based on ensuring imcompetency is prevalent. The final parting wonder of this bunch of charlatans...Closing question asked on my phone call re complaint. "Would you like to recommend us to friends or family?"

Don't think about the money like I did and change provider. Talk Talk admitedly are cheaper than BT but when it comes to issues they talk the talk but they don't walk the walk.
The first few months were good until we had fault problems. Now six weeks later we're no closer to sorting the problem. Endless rounds of calls, text messages that achieve nothing and no will from the company to resolve any issues. This includes when the fault has been escalated to the Chief Executive's Complaints Office (apparently based in India!). We are currently without broadband, and a very quiet phone line. Engineer appointments were made and never materialised. You will be expected to self-diagnose technical problems too. So don't go anywhere near Talk Talk. They're fine until there are problems and then you might as well as be contracting with Martians.

Our phone gave up again, it's always the on-street boxes with crumbling wiring. It took 3 hours of online chat, my husband running out of phone credit after 19 minutes of not being answered and using the neighbours' TT phone, which the robot said wasn't a TT phone. Lots of emails to Dido Harding, assurances something being done for the next two days, then a call from CEO's office from a Steven Macphail - appropriate name - who insisted the fault was in the house, despite my husband explaining why it couldn't be. Engineer called today and, hey presto, it's an external fault. Email from Macphail to say he'd had the report and it was a faulty router, which had been replaced!!!!! What? Had to call engineer who couldn't believe it - we heard him call the diagnosis in - so he had to call them again. I've sent lots of emails, asked for compensation and assurance that in future, the calls will be escalated immediately because it's always the BT wiring in one or other of the boxes. There have been 20 emails on this so far, I've set up a folder for them all. The online chat people - 6, because I kept getting kicked off - kept telling me to call a certain number; to which I replied 'how, I have no phone?' We are retired and rely on the home phone, I'm also disabled, which they know. What a useless shower they are.

I moved to Talk Talk broadband in 2012. It was appalling. I had to reboot the router countless time a day and in the end put it on a timer to auto reboot it every hour.

I spoke to customer service countless times - they sent a new router but nothing improved.

When my contract was up and I spoke with them to cancel they told me that my problems were with my phone line and that no other provider would be able to give me a decent broadband connection.

I moved to Plusnet and have had no problems at all - speed is not as good as I could get, but it is reliable so I am happy. It is also pretty good value for money and their customer service representatives are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

This company needs to revamp its customer service!!!!!!

I used Talk Talk for just over five years, then due to re-development around my property, which was actually being knocked down for a new estate complex, I contacted Talk Talk to inform them that my property will be demolished and I was moving away to an area where Talk Talk was not available, therefore cancel my subscription. This was approximately a three months notice.

Then around 15 months later I received a statement/invoice for around £160 for using their broadband service at the property which by now did not exist (completely knocked down a few weeks after I left.

On various lengthy discussions direct with Talk Talk they were claiming I never cancelled the contract. Getting nowhere directly with their Customer Service Departmeny I got the CAB involved, and after asking for the recorded tape (with payment) of my original cancellation discussion they never contacted me again.

However, a few moths ago I received a debt collection letter asking to pay the debt on Talk Talk that had now increased t over £200…..

Firstly, what person would call a company informing that their property was being demolished and would want to continue with a subscription to a service they could not use???? And why does this company pass this onto a debt collection company when they have not even provided a thread of evidence that I never requested a cancellation when they first claimed they had my conversation recorded and never asked for the subscription to be cancelled and then at a later date claimed I never called them????

My advice too anyone dealing with this company to do it in writing and recorded delivery and not over the phone….

The talktalk service I have received over the past 4 months has been nothing short of a disaster. The customer service team will pass you from one incompetent staff to another, adopting the pass the buck method in an effort to ware down the less ardent of customers. The floor manager (who shall remain nameless for now) was literally laughing at me down the phone when I was asking her to deal with my complaint professionally. I'm trying to get my money back which they happily took from my account without informing me, £100 to be exact. The bill is for two engineers who came out to fix the problems with the talktalk broadband connection. They have credited me £50 as they have admitted that one of the fees for the engineer was bad practice. The second engineer I'm still contesting. They believe that I am liable to pay £50 as they feel (and I stress feel) that I breached the agreement that they read out off of a script.

The script says that if the engineer comes out and doesn't find a problem or that if he/she identifies a problem with equipment or wires then they will charge £50 for the call out. I have explained to several managers that the engineer identified a problem and that it wasn't with the equipment or the wires. The engineer identified the problem as an unstable connection and advised to monitor the problem over 3 days and if the problem still occurred to phone back for another engineer. After explaining this to the customer service team several times they ignored the new information and decided to laugh and put me on hold several times, I was even transferred to another manager who gave me the same treatment. I will continue to voice my opinion and relay facts on public forums until talktalk stop acting like a mobster organisation and start trading under professional conditions.

Never have I been treated like such scum in my life! DO NOT USE. LIARS, CON ARTISTS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!

Signed up to broadband, no problems. Got my youview box, speed a little slow but I am end of the line so accepted this. Still worked and things were fine. Contract is drawing to a close, I say I want to leave and go to BT fibre, they convince me to stay. Offer to match BT price and give an extra discount and a new box. We are convinced. Suddenly we have no internet and when I call them they say 'your a fibre customer now' but I haven't had the fibre router yet and why not... Cos I only agreed to the contract 45 minutes ago! They say I upgraded. I say I opted to open a new contract t end of original.

Anyway, 1 month on and still no you view box as random charges on my account.... They are refusing to give me the box as I had one on my precious contract! They have added numerous engineer charges for installing my fibre modem (which I don't need) and someone coming to fix the line.... How is that my fault? Plus they changed tr appointment twice but charged me both!!
I am pregnant and after my most recent call I felt so ill and weak I actually attended my maternity day centre for monitoring as my blood pressure was so high from all the BULLS@%T you ensure on the phone to INDIA!! I am london, I don't want to speak to someone in India who assures me my line is fine cos his computer says so but the man standing in my front garden looking at the green box is showing me the part that is wrongly connected!!

Just the WORST I have ever encountered! I can't wait to leave them. I would happily pay 3times the money to a company worth dealing with instead of these robbing bar stewards!

Signed up and went live with TalkTalk just over 2 weeks ago. So far I have spent more time on the phone to their customer service than I have had time on the internet due to their very unreliable broadband. The service just keeps dropping and Is just infuriating. They have sent an engineer round to sort it and he failed saying he would progress the fault up the chain.... so nearly another week to wait before they can get anyone else out to us.
An absolutely appalling company to deal with when you have a problem and absolutely the worst broadband provider (or non provider as the case may be) I have ever had the misfortune to sign up with. If you're thinking about signing up with TalkTalk do yourself a favour and save yourself a mountain of stress by choosing another provider. In the meantime, can anyone please tell me if I am entitled to cancel this and get a refund on the upfront payment I made.

Very Bad customer care service.this is what happens when you don't look after your call center which are running from India.I am trying to get my refund of £114 pound for the line rental which was paid upfront when I placed the order last year.My biggest mistake to choose for TalkTalk over sky.I am still chasing this call centre guys from India-Talk Talk to get my refund.it's been one year since I made payment online by card and my payment gone missing but my Bank advised me that Payment was made.I don't know it's been 1 yr and I am still sending fax for for getting my refund.these call centres are pathetic the service manager was talking to me like he is king from India and doen't care if my £100 pounds gone missing.there is no courtesy by customer service manager to feel the pain I am going through.he was even not telling his name name properly but I got this first name right,he tells me it's Viraj Subb so please be aware of TALK TALK.Stay clear from this company.it's worst.

STAY AWAY FROM TALK TALK!! Absolutely horrendous! You get what you ask for, CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP service. Never been so awfully treated by a company in my entire life. When I first bought my package, I was wrong charged over £100 more than I should have been for installation, which I still had to pay even though I rang up and made it clear it was their mistake. Then when the TV box was installed none of the channels would work, for days I had to speak to an incompetent and inexperienced telecom on the phone who simply told me to turn the TV on and off as he didn't have any idea what my problem was. My broadband was also extremely slow and went off a lot, even though I have always been in a prime spot for broadband coverage. After days of still not getting what I was paying for, I rang up and told them I wanted to cancel my contract with them, which resulted in me being put on hold for about 1 hour, switched over to about 10 different telecoms and still they would give me every excuse under the sun before cancelling my contract. I was very pleasant but obviously a bit frustrated as you would be by this time. I was rudely shouted and given abuse at multiply times and even sworn at once because I wanted to cancel my contract. They kept calling me 'lady' or 'woman' which I found very rude. I had never seen such poor service. He had to keep asking me to repeat myself because HE funnily couldn't understand me even though they were very hard to understand and I have a very clear accent as I used to work on a phone for a living. After about 2 hours on the phone he then pretended he couldn't hear me and put the phone down. I rang them back up and told them I would be going back to my old excellent and trusty provider, Virgin, with or without their help. Virgin, who may be more expensive but their customer service is impeccable; the telecoms are very competent and know exactly how to help you with any problem, no matter how small. They cannot do enough to help you and give you the best package you can get for your money. And their broadband and TV box sets are very reliable, unlike TALK TALKS. Talk Talk also charged me £200 for cancelling my contract even though it say I could cancel within 14 days for free and I had only had it for a few days, which I again had to pay. Please if you value your good health and sanity, do not go to Talk Talk. I PROMISE you, you will regret it.
