    Terrible, just terrible!!

The Talk Talk service in my opinion was absolutely terrible, I live with my mother and she took out a talk talk contract. First of all it took them ages to send out an engineer to connect us and therefore the so-called grace period where we could cancel "hassle-free" was no longer possible. Then for the weeks we were connected the speed was WELL below what should have been the minimum speed provided. They PROMISE no less than 5Mbs but we were rarely getting more than 2Mbs. Then when my mother had had enough of calling OVERSEAS operators - who didn't call back when they said they would and when they did, didn't know why they were calling (obviously hadn't checked their notes) may I add - she decided to cancel her contract and they said she would have to pay a cancellation charge unless she gave them 90 DAYS(!!!!) to sort it out. It was a standard connection (they didn't even have to put in a new line) So we would have had to put up with unto 90 days of terrible service. They then held our line hostage so we had to get a new line in for a deferent company to provide us with a service we should have got from them! Now we are stuck with having to pay a cancellation fee for terrible service and customer service.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT??"

I and my family would NEVER EVER recommend Talk Talk to a stranger let alone friends or family.

Absolutely appalling! If there is one thing I could pass on to anyone I have ever cared about it would be NEVER EVER SIGN UP TO TALKTALK!!! I have wasted so many hours of my life and gained so many grey hairs on my head trying to deal with their absolutely abysmal customer services. My broadband kept dropping out unexpectedly and after several hours of scripted phone calls to India all they would ever do is send an engineer who would replace the router time and time again! Eventually I progressed the complaint to the CEOs office where I was promised the earth to rectify the problem. Even they didn't deliver. Now in the process of taking my complaint through ISPAS as I have reached the end of my tether with them. Seriously wish I had just paid a few extra quid to go with Sky instead. They have made me ill with stress. It's seriously not worth it!

Customer service, engineer call out, no service, no end in sight, my rights? do i have any? I cannot believe I was stupid enough to go with this outfit. they must laugh when people sign up. I find it ridiculous that it takes so long to find a problem and sort it out. they lie whenever they speak and must be masters of avoidance! never again, never ever ever again.

0 Star, Broadband cuts out every 10 mins and the customer service is just as bad they keep you on the line for hours and then tell you they can no find any fault with the line, asked them to send a engineer out they said it will be a £50 charge.

I have been with TalkTalk for eight years with a phone and broadband package and overall found their service to be reliable. I am seeking to change to fibre now and have found their customer service absolutely appalling. I have endured two days of phone calls trying to sort this out. I have had to experience being left on hold , dropped calls, lack of consistent information and pricing clarity. I have had the worst customer experience ever.

Broadband is slow for me. Customer services in Manilla is terrible. They just don't understand. I upgraded to fibre optic and get exactly the same speeds I don't even think it is fibre optic!. I complained about 1mb download, a woman from manila says hang on(slight pause) try it now . It went straight to 6mb . I hung up, it went straight back down.
Keep well clear customer services are the worst ever when you eventually get through and then get them to understand your question.
If you game online forget these as well because their upload is pathetic.

Been with TalkTalk 10 years now. Had problems in first few months with broadband dropping, but has been fine since I changed to a Netgear wireless modem router. Customer service has been fine, and my one dealing with a "techie" was excellent. Cost and Service first class. Don't recognise the company the other poor reviews are referring to.

TalkTalk aren't even worthy of the 1 stars that I have given them. Their broadband probably has to the worst I've had in a really long time. I mean, why bother carrying on this awful network if you aren't going to provide the up to speed internet that we have asked for? I would give them an overall scoring of -2 stars and that's me being generous. Just appalling. Terrible network all together.

I never recieved my phone I was promised I had to supply my own. Talk Talk changed the date for the engineer to visit me and threatened to charge me if I wasn't home on that date. Engineer was 2 hours early. Also I have been charged for turning virus and kids safe setting. On the plus side I can say the modem is pin protected against hackers but the password is easy to hack in a matter of days. You need to change the password to something like "tA~lK14-TaLk.20" (without quotes) which would probably take a super computer 10 years to crack.

It's good when it works, which is when I don't use it. Whether it's my download going from 33 to 2 in a minute and then back up it cannot remain steady. Upload, which at fibre should be more than 1.8(which is the highest it's ever been)is atrocious. If it remained at even 1 that'd be less than awful. So when it drops to 300kbs I kind of want talk talk to die. And then there is the customer service. Taking months to install the fibre and not even showing up or calling to say they weren't coming to 3 appointments. Trying to charge extra for awful service and being unhelpful makes me want to rush away to a professional provider

TalkTalk do not deserve any stars. I haven't even had my internet connected and I'm already leaving... Their customer service is shocking, they are absolutely useless. The engineer missed his appointment after I took a day off to be there, and after spending 3 hours on the phone to them, I was no further. I waited 5 days for a phone call despite then saying it would take 72 hours. If this is how they treat a prospective customer who only know how they treat their existing customers so I will dodge the bullet now before any more time and money is lost, I advise you all yo avoid TalkTalk!

What can I say about talk talk today. Just stay away and keep away.
My problem with the company started today at 11.43 am and has finished at 16.26 pm.
I have been refused information on my own account, I have asked for a complaint team and was told that this company doesn't have one ! I have been told I was being put through to the complaint team on two occassions then left on hold - (the complaint team which does not exist as the company stated they don't have one) I have had the phone put down on me twice, then at last at 16.07 pm been told that the £5.00 discount I have been given today is the company's final decision even though I have lost a days work trying to sort the account out.
The reason for my call in the first place this morning ? to enquire why this company had billed me for more money than was agreed on 05.03.2014 when they had confirmed a discount on my bill. Oh yes they suspended the account so no calls or internet could be used despite them trying to bill me for more than was due.
So all in all as you would gather, I am calling BT tomorrow to please ask them to take all my property accounts !!

Appalling! Offered free installation which isn't free they actually charge you for it and then say that the extra money stays in your talktalk account. If I then want my money back I then have to call to have them put it back into my bank account. Save the hassle and go else where!

Absolutely rubbish service. Was with O2 and switched, was worst thing I could have done. The internet keeps dropping out and when I contacted them they said it would be the same with all other providers, which I challenged. I asked when my contract ended and I got threatened with an early termination fee, that was just for asking! Roll on July when I think I'll move to BT

Been With TalkTalk for over a year now, constant problems with broadband speed. (Average speed of 6.88 Mb ) Complained many times had engineers out speed would go up to about 11Mb for a short time and them back to 6.88Mb.
Call TalkTalk again today and again they said that the fault was at my end and that they will need to send out an engineer out. I insisted to speak to a manager, as I wasn’t prepared to put up with this any more as I felt the problem was at their end. Got put through to a English speaking person. Where I was informed that the problem was at their end and that it was because of filter they have sorry cant remember what it was called. In a nutshell and in the managers words. He said that It is up the a manager if this filter is on or not . He said that he has removed the filter and asked me to check the speed; from 6,88Mb it went to 15.89Mb
All I can say is if you are having similar problem aske to speak to a manager.
It is what I suspected they are in control of the speed. TalkTalk have totally ripped me off for the past year and wasted my time.

Good when it works, but when it doesn't it's a nightmare.

Appalling customer service. It took 6 YEARS to get them to finally sort out a faulty line pair, with hours of phone frustration each time the service went down.

Finally dumped them after they failed to get openreach onsite for a fibre installation 8 times in a row and forced a 14 day wait between each attempt.

The replacement ISP was on the phone to openreach after their first failed visit and forced an engineer to be onsite the next morning. Ironically they use Talktalk wholesale to provide service, but the contrast between the helpdesks is like night and day.

(Yes, the faulty line and failures to show up is an Openreach issue, but a LLU ISP who lets a customer suffer repeated line faults over an extended period and tries to blame the consumer equipment instead of escalating the fault is arguably incompetent.)

Seemed like they were offering a good deal. Paid for my line rental up front. For some reason (I'll probably never find out in this lifetime), they could not port my existing number across so they cancelled the TV engineer's visit. All I got was a text saying the visit had been cancelled, no explanation. Then I had to do the thing that I dreaded most, call their customer services several times, probably about 20. Their customer service advisors are amazingly rude. As far as I'm concerned they have reached rock bottom & have started to dig. They must set themselves VERY low standards & consistently fail to achieve them. The upshot of this round of them TALK TALKing at me was that I would have to cancel the contract & set up a new one. They sent out a welcome pack that had the wrong price breakdown so guess what? I had to phone customer services again. Spoke to 2 people who hung up on me. Spoke to a third person (in India, I'm guessing) & then got put through to her supervisor in the Phillipines. Someone in India asking you to hold for 2 minutes equates to 20 UK minutes. The last phone call was over an hour & I've now been promised a refund for the line rental that I paid in advance. To tell you the truth, the whole experience has stressed me out beyond imagination, they literally have reduced me to tears. All I wanted to do was buy something off them, I was a potential customer & they have treated me insanely badly. Who knows what they treat their customers like, once you are lcked into a contract. STAY AWAY & go with a reputable provider who has UK based call centres.

They don't even deserve a star in any of these categories, the customer service is useless and no help what so ever, rude staff who don't know what they are chatting half the time. Meant to be getting at least 20mbps but instead we get between 1-3mbps at the best of times! don't even bother thinking to ever go with them, had to suffer a horrible 24 month contact with these thieving scumbags, never again!

Never ever get in business with talk talk they team is very bad keep lay to customers and can't improve they service. We been promised around 9-10mb internet speed but what we get 3.4 mb that's a best normally around 1.7mb - 2.5mb ( my 3G internet is faster ), far last 6 months we been calling them, they can't even understand English ask me to slow down etc., very bad customer service never see in my life something like that. Also when we tell them we would like to cancel our contract they try to charge us £400 for service they can't even provide, they just keep blame BT, but we have nothing to do with BT we have contract with Talk Talk not BT. Also when we been on phone with them they say we send you new router out that's maybe improve internet speed after week waiting new router didn't turn up, we call them again spoke with manager, manager say sorry to hear that but we don't provide that kind of service, so how they expect customers to stay with them if they keep laying and don't do anything to improve they service.
I am sorry to say but Talk Talk is nightmare to deal with all you can get is promises that's about it.

DON'T DO IT!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
I have recently moved house and upgraded my package where I recieved a quote for £31.65/month. The calls have been recorded and the package has been confirmed by the agent. After setting up everything the agreed package were not supplied. The agent gave my a missleading quoatition and I am very fustrated that after making the deal with TalkTalk I am not supplied with the agreed package. After talking with the Manager who was not able to help me I was considering to leave them forever as a customer, but even that i have given 30 days to change my mind they wanted to charge me £600. It is absolutely unacceptable what TalkTalk is doing and left me with no choice but to go to the ombudsman.
    Don't go for TalkTalk guys!!!!

OK if it works. When you have a problem, that's when your problems will really start. When you sign up, you get to talk with an efficient, English speaking person, presumably, in the UK. When you have an issue, you get to speak to people in a foreign land who may appear to have English as tenth language. An absolute nightmare, a cultural and language barrier and nothing will get resolved and you may well be charged for a useless engineer visit. Avoid like the plaque.

Recently changed my bank account. Talktalk got all the details in time for the monthly DD:
    - Failed to change their details
    - Failed to act on the DD refusal by my old bank
    - Failed to tell me my old bank had refused their DD request
    - Failed to tell me my account was in arrears
    - Failed to tell me they were cutting off my phone and internet

Then I called them - oh dear me. Possibly the WORST call centre experience ever! And they lied about me being able to escalate my complaint to the ombudsman.

Phone and internet are good when working but pray it never goes down or you need technical help.

[indian] call centre is atrocious. Incapable of understanding the most basic information [such as that i am not at the place where the line fault is at this moment] yet spouting telecom-jargon that i can't understand!! Rigid following of their 'script' means pauses long enough to suspect they've gone away to brew a cup of tea... roaund a nd round you go....

Absolutely awful company to deal with. customer Service will tell you endless lies to get you to sign a contract, then not deliver on any of the promises they made. They ignore complaints sent through to them, and lie over the phone.

I honestly regret the day i joined with them. I have never dealt with a worse company in any field.

BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF. RUBBISH.

If a minus 5 start rating were available it would be too good for Talk Talk. My dealings with them over the past few months have been the most frustrating, stressful I have ever had. I have spent two an a half hours on the phone to their unprofessional, rude, customer service staff trying to get a MAC code. I recently wrote to their CEO at their Southampton headquarters and the response I got from a Carrie McGhie are a perfect example of everything that is wrong with this company. After detailing my complaint and supplying with them documented evidence of my three hours spent on the phone to them, they take no responsibility for any of their mistakes and say they will 'continue to look into it'. They even had the audacity to end their letter with details of how I could pay the remaining £17 on my account even though this was charged to my account after I had asked them to close it. I don't know how this company are allowed to continue to do business and provide such poor customer service over and over again. DO NOT USE TALK TALK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO HAVE TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME DEALING WITH SUCH A POOR COMPANY.

It's the very worst customer service I have ever faced. They are not even polite to talk to customer. If we take any issues to them, They don't even listen. They just talk about their latest offer whether we like it or not. Finally they will listen to our issues and ask us to call the customer service???. I don't know who these people are then. Even if we try again, it will go to the same process, they will forward to some other team.At the end no one will pick up and we will be on the line for whole day. I just finally gave up taking to them and I moved my connection from them to Sky who provides better service.

If anyone is thinking of going to TALK TALK because of their cheap offer, you will get what you pay for (Worst support from them).

I have Talk Talk as an email provider, by default. I started out as a Gateway customer, then that was taken over by Tiscali, which is now with Talk Talk.
I find their service for email appalling, compared to any othe email provider. Half of the time I cannot get into their site, either because it is busy or my log on details bounce back as not valid ( yet this is picked up automatically by my system). And even when it is accepted I often get timed out as their site does not open up, so I have to go back again through the log on details.
And quite often, it will not even let me open my inbox or let me open and read an email.
It such an unreliable and unacceptably slow service. I am only grateful I have other emails with providers that are far more robust or never have these problems. These problems are unique for Talk Talk.

Where to start!! Ihave had continuous problems with Talk Talk since a home move last August. Had to wait until the end of September for an engineer to come out to connect the line to be told I needed a new line put in. Waited weeks for another engineer to come out who said he couldnt't do it. Cost me a fortune using my pay as you go mobile and a dongle for internet connection. Complained direct to Talk Talk CEO and things started moving. Eventually got my new landline put in and finally broadband up and running!!! Broadband is absolutely hopeless and lose connection several times a day. A fault occurred on my landline before Christmas when I could not receive incoming calls. I reported it and had to wait until 25th January for an engineer to come out. This was a Talk Talk engineer not Open Reach and told me the fault was at the exchange and Open Reach would contact me within 72 hours to make an appointment to suit me!!! Surprise surprise no call so today phoned Talk Talk and was told the matter was being looked into and he would call me back within 24 hours!!!! What sort of company is this??? A bunch of cowboys. Customer Services are beyond words and thats if you can understand what they are saying!!! Wish to heavens I had never gone with Talk Talk and wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to them!! I do have to point out that I did receive free phone broadband and tv for three months but that was only after dealing with the CEO and ther way things are going will be contacting the CEO again!!!

I had been a loyal talk talk customer for a period of 8 months when I suddenly experienced complete loss of service of both internet and land line. Following this talk talk sent 5 engineers to the wrong address and were unable to repair the problem. This lasted for 4 weeks with talk talk confirming after every phone call that they would register the correct address.

According to talk talk the error has now become to "complex" and in order to be repaired and new solution of providing me with a new landline and contract has been reached. Due to the cancellation of the previous landline/contract I have now been charged the outstanding balance of the contract (I was told this would not occur) which comes to a total of £307.

I have also accrued a phone bill of £43 which I have not yet tried to recover due to the incapacity of talk talk to provide the most basic of service. The current outcome is that talk talk will keep the £307 as credit in order to pay all future bills in advance therefore not refunding me and leaving my bank account potentially overdrawn.

If you could please are this message and recommend people to avoid talk talk it would be very appreciated.
