I have been with Talk Talk for about a year now and although the customer service is good the speed can be slow at times, however I am about to upgrade to Pro soon so fingers crossed.

I signed up to TalkTalk on 30 Dec 2009 and am still waiting to be connected (it's now 22 May).
I have had nothing but problems from them and have to say that the best customer service I get is when I call the cancellations department.
First they failed to inform the BT engineer checking my line was live to install a new socket (my original socket is attached to a front door where there are no sockets and a very hot storage heater).
This then led to a delay as the engineer had to come back out to install it. Since then I've had numerous excuses about there being issues with the connection and nobody seems to know why.
I'm so fed up of waiting now that if come Tuesday (25 May), the latest date they said it will all go live, I'm going to cancel and will happily go somewhere else even if it means paying more for a better service.

I only gave a 2 star rating for customer service as i have never had much luck with them. I would encourage any one to use the forum as it is much better.

Talk talk are an absolute joke. Signed up 6 wks ago. Still have no internet. Everytime i phone up i get someone who cant speak english. I get put through 20 times. Then to tell me il be waitin another 21 days. Theyve added 70 pound installation charge on my bill and 30 pound conection fee, they never told me about this when i signed up. They are a bunch of con artists and im taking legal action.

I wish i had never changed from Orange, only went with Talk Talk as i have my phone and line rental with them and have had no issues with this. What a waste of time the Broadband is. I can never stay connected for more than a few minutes. If i try to download anything it seems to take forever and cannot use the broadband as wireless any more due to the amount of disconnects i am having. I am currently connected via the cable with defeats the purpose of having a laptop with WIRELESS broadband. I have contacted tech help numerous times to be told different things each time and still no resolution. I am currently looking for another more reliable supplier due to this. I would not recommend Talk Talk broadband to anyone.

Tiscali were never very bright on customer service but TalkTalk are the worst I've experienced. They moved my Direct Debit date, then decided (of their own accord) not to take the next DD. They then rang me a few days after not collecting the DD to get me to upgrade my package, sent me an email to congratulate me on upgrading, then, moments later, disconnected my service for non-payment..! I've spent most of today being pushed in circles only to discover TalkTalk don't have a customer service department (that I could talk talk to) but I that could try writing to a PO Box number. Added to that my broadband is 5mb under advertised speed and since Tiscali was taken over by TalkTalk I find need to reboot my router every couple of hours. Well, I've enough. I'll pay the extra for a provider who cares. PS: I found out today that if I cancel my account (the one they cut me off on), I'll have to pay over £380) being 17 months contract value). I've suggested they get their legal team ready for a trip to my local county court. Unhappy? I can't describe how unhappy. Use PlusNet, BT, Virgin, Sky, anyone but this bunch.

Rubbish in every way - I regret the day I joined Talk Talk.
I am constantly having to go through the diagnose and repair function. I feel this is all I have done today. Really just fed up with the service provided.

I have been with Talk Talk for 6 months and in that time we have lost the phone and broadband twice for several hours.
The broadband speed is very slow most of the time and we loose the broadband several times a day.
Talk Talk have said several times when I have complained that these are minor faults and as such theywill not investigate the problems or rectify them as it is against thier policy to do so. They also suggest it might be the old BT phonelines which has nothing to do with them but that I can have these replaced for a huge fee.
So much for thier adverts saying they care about thier customers and will move heaven and earth to give them the best connections and service in the world.

I get fantastic speeds day and night, roughly around 15Mb. The service is great and I use the forums rather than the phone if I need something. It gets done a lot faster. The price is extremely good value, and includes everything I need. I don't have any disconnections or cut outs, its always stable and there if I need it. Absolutely no problems.

Still waiting for broadband to 'go live' 2 months after first contacting Talk Talk, & I live in Essex, not the outer hebrides.
After the customary 20 minute wait, a muffled voice in customer service tells me its due to a 'technical fault'.
The one star rating is to demonstrate I hadn't just forgotten to enter a rating.

The only reason they get 1 star is because i couldn't give no stars. Talk talk broadband is pathetic, constant cut offs, slow speeds, and non existent customer service. Cheers talk talk

I'm on an 8Mb deal and get between 5 & 6Mb....when it works. The problem is the router constantly losing the internet connection. It can take up to half an hour to reconnect. Tried customer service many times and those friendly Asian robots go through all their a,b,c prompts and eventually get me to phone 'level B support' once they've authorised me to be able to speak to them. Level B try to sund more knowledgeable but I'm now almost a year into the deal with no improvement. I'm no longer trying and will be moving when the contract allows.

talktalk was absolutley fantastic until they bought and merged with tiscali. i had tiscali and switched because the speed was slow and they banned numerous websites from being accessed because they used java. i can only imagine what possessed them to purchase such a joke of a company because my internet speed dropped from 4.5 meg to 1.4 in a matter of days once the two companies were merged together. i also love the fact they send me emails trying to get me to upgrade to 24 meg broadband when there own speed internet test tells me the talk talk line in my area can only take speeds of upto 6 meg i think a swift move to virgins fiber optic will be on the cards when this contract expires.

Rating of "very poor" is not far enough down the list to describe Customer Service, "Dismal", "Pathetic", "evasive", "virtually impossible to contact", "full of Bulls...t". Speed rates as very poor because that is the speed they choose to deliver rather than rectify (after 6 weeks of trying) a line fault.

6Mbps down and 0.5Mbpa up average just about all the time. Line speed slow-downs or outages are extremely rare and brief. In terms of price to speed TalkTalk is still by far the best on the market. I've been with them for about 6 years now and their customer service has greatly improved and provides fast accurate responses should issues occur. To be honest I do not know how TalkTalk provides such a good service for the price!

After a long periopd of very frequent B/band failures & no real help from the normal cust. service a higher level of Network support got involved. An apparent Re-boot of the local exchange equipment produced an instant improvement....speed up from 1.5/1.8 to 2.4/2.6

Absolute rubbish from start to finish, i have TalkTalk phone line and call package and never had an issue with this so i decided to switch from Orange to TalkTalk for my broadband BIG MISTAKE. Sine starting the service approx 6 weeks ago i have had little or no connection, constant connection drops (every few seconds) meaning i cannot watch any tv via I player etc or download anything. So i am now on this great web site looking for another provider or possibly considering going back to Orange who were brill except a little on the high price side. Would recommend TalkTalk phone service to anyone would not recommend the broadband service at all. Very poor. Customer service for this is poor as well due to no-one putting notes on my account meaning everytime i call with the same fault they have no recored that i have already called 3 times already that night as i cant get connected to the internet.

Have been with TalkTalk for several years now. Only use TalkTalk because the broadband is free. It took over a year before I could get and stay on line for more than a few minutes before I lost connection. Talktalk had so many excuses why this was happening , I even moved my computer near to my doorway to prove that it was not the connection in my property that was causing the problems. I must say that for the past 6 months I can get on line most of the time. Having recently purchased a laptop I asked Talk Talk for a router so that I could use my laptop. That was on the 15th of September as yet after 5 phone calls the router has still not materialised. I have been given all sorts of excuses but still no Router. Because I can now use the broadband I believed that Talktalk had improved their service. Shows how wrong I am. I would never reccomend Talktalk to any of my friends , to be honest I do not hate anybody enough to reccomend them to Talk Talk either!!

Although 6MB is not bad I would have at times liked that little bit more around the 10MB the same as a friend of my is getting in Cambridge, when I use his computer mine seems to have stopped. Talk Talk for the price seem as good as any I have loooked at.

If an internet supplier says you should get up to 8gb speed then you should get otherwise it is a con to get you to sign up.Last march i changed from the Post Office because 9 times out of 10 i wasn't getting 1gb.They are still demanding i pay them £85 because they said i broke my contract by going to another supplier. Good old rip off Britian
