I have only put one star because there is no option for 0 star otherwise I have had enough of Vofafone. The worst is the home broadband utter rubbish. Dont even try because even the staff do not know what they are doing. Its just a long storry that I wont even bother sharing. All I can say is stay away from Vodafone to have a peace of mind.

AVOIDD!!!The worst services ever!! The worst customers services. Even Talk talk are far more better!
I would give less then one start if possible after such bad experience with them. I made a contract for home broadband after using them services for many years for my mobile. They made the contract lying and saying they will provide the best services ever and even a consistent present. The present was just a lie as after 4 mouths didn't received anything. Anyway ...they lie to me again about the live day for the internet keep postpone that. Finally the start internet arrived and waiting for the green router light witch even after 3 mouths and a half failed to come. I spent daily hours and hours with them on the phone all off them promise to fix it. I asked them to cancel in those 30 days but they keep lying assuring me I will finally have internet 3 mouths like this....after so much waiting my sister who lives at the same address as me, tired of waiting made new contract on her name with different provider. I didn't know at that time that one contract cancel automatically the previous one because of just one phone line assigned per house. Suddenly Vodafone remembered about me and sent me a 218£ bill for cancelling the contract. Paying 218£ for nothing as THEY FAILED to provide them services and ignore my calls (for 3 MOUNTHS) for witch the contract was signed. I start calling them again daily each of the UNTRAINED customers services employees kept me on the phone for 2-3 hours saying they can not wave the extra charges. I made numerous complaints every time they promising special team will contact me as priority ,2 weeks still waiting. PLEASE try to avoid them 'services' AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!!

Like previous review said this company is completely a joke. If anyone would like to switch to Vodafone, my answer is No No No! I wouldn't give one star if I could! I switched to their full fibre expecting fast broadband, instead internet constantly drop off not even can stream any Amazon video, called numerous times always fobbed off by technical support team, reset from my end or their end, never actually solve the problems, this is supposed to be full fibre! Vodafone it's a shambles!

Terrible customer service. Router never arrived but they still charged me. Customer service don’t seem to understand there is a problem with their process and just keep trying to reorder the router, which keeps just not being delivered. It’s been a month and they still haven’t fixed the issue. DO NOT BUY VODAFONE BROADBAND!!!

Vodafone guaranteed 10.8 Mbs upfront in writing, initially all went well with installation etc. After a couple of weeks the internet speed started to cause spooling and drop out, speeds of 7.8 Mbs according to Vodafone but Oopla showed 7 Mbs. Router and incoming box was changed and all okay for a couple of weeks and a repeat of previous problem, Vodafone agreed speed had dropped off to 6.4 Mbs but watching TV and tele-conferencing, not together caused spooling and connection loss. Complained and was given the normal checks and they agreed that the rate had fallen to below the 6.4 and was at 5.8 Mbs, Oopla shows 4.8 Mbs. Final outcome more spooling, line down more often but Vodafone has given a whopping 15% discount on monthly charge and basically said live with it or go to another provider. Problem no Virgin in the area and Openreach will be backup so nothing will change. Speed at box is 21 Mbs so telegraph line is degrading quality to circa 5 Mbs (75%), so money being taken for service provided and maintenance but the latter not being done as distance from box to router calls should provide circa 15 Mbs. Vodafone is not in control of Openreach and therefore supplies rubbish Broadband.

I had Vodaphone at my last address and was paying for the top speed as my wife works from home so I was getting up to 76mps obviously I didn’t get that it was always around 54mps , I moved and took Vodafone with me , that was 18 months ago and I am still having problems, I have had several engineers out they have altered the box and eventually changed it and wired straight to post outside of house so it couldn’t be more direct , yet still having problems , I am lucky if I get 31-33 pms , even though I was told and have it in black and white that my minimum will be 41mps and max 67mps ,the excuse I get now is the network minimum is 31mps , so why are they allowed to tell you minimum 41 if. It’s 31 , I have tried and tried to get this resolved and all I get is a foreign person asking me the same scripted questions every time , I requested my complaints to be printed and sent to confirm all of my calls and when it came it was n3arly two inches thick so you can imagine how many times I have tried to resolve this and still after all of the promises and tried and tested solutions I am running out of patience, they now have the audacity to offer me a new 18 month contract to maintain my super fast2 deal with up to 67mps , and again I ask how can they advertise false promises and then all they give is a 15% discount on my monthly bill that amount to about £2.30 , I don’t want that I want what I am paying for but I keep hitting the same brick wall as always so , I wouldn’t have them again I am planning on switching as soon as my contract runs out very soon , DONT TOUCH THEM THEY TELL YOU SPEEDS THEY CANT POSSIBLY SUPPLY

They hiked the price by 18.9% 30 days after install, install took a week, home (voip) phone took nearly a year to start working correctly, wifi drops out continually. Router also has a physically loose wan port so broadband drops connection or cuts to half of what I am paying for. Had a bout a dozen interactions with the "help" desk all wanting your camera on, so basically an invasion of privacy and all they do is a factory reset on the router. After an engineer had visited and confirmed the router problem I have been dealing with the helpdesk for 2 weeks, who still refuse to believe the problem and want to reset the damn router again. I have just gave up, slower than my old telephone connection and router has worse features than my 5 yr old nowtv one. Add to that they wont give any details required for you to connect so cant even buy your own router to bypass this garbage.

Agreed to switch my broadband to Vodafone through u switch.... From plusnet. This was a huge mistake.
The engineer came yesterday to connect the fibre line and was unable to complete the work as it needs a 2 man team. He said they would be with me within 2 days. This was a lie by the engineer (his name was Darko).

I chased this up with Vodafone and the truth is this account will only be reviewed for action after a week.

So, I have no broadband for at least a week with no firm date of when the work will be completed.

I have a Son needing to revise for his gcse's so this is a major inconvenience.

Speaking to customer services is a waste of time, sure they say sorry but are unable to actually take any action.

    Do not use this provider.

Appalling service over two years. We had consistently intermittent service, five engineer visits, and the fault was never fixed. Vodafone could always see there was a problem with our service (despite the text from them after every visit saying they'd fixed it!) and after 2 years advised me a should find a new provider because they couldn't resolve the issue! To add insult to injury they would only give me 3 months compensation in the form of credit (for a service I couldn't get) because I 'hadn't complained frequently enough'

I can't even describe the Vodafone broadband it's awful you can use it only for 6 months and the bin it and look for a different provider as your speed from 70mbps drop to 1.7mbps and when you contact support your speed will go up to the right speed for a few minutes and the support team will say we test your speed and it's look alright then when you exit the chat your speed falls agan to 1mbps.

Finally never waste your time just do not even try it.

The most appalling service I have ever experienced. Spent over half an hour on the phone ordering. Received the router and waited ten days for the activation date. Date came and passed with no contact. Phoned Vodafone and was eventually told that contract had been cancelled without informing me. After initially being told this was because fibre was not available for my address several calls later I was eventually told all was due to their operator typing in my postcode incorrectly. My choice thereafter was to wait 72hrs for them to reinstate the order and then wait another 10-14days for the activation OR to register as a new customer spend 30-40mins on the phone giving all my details again and then still wait 10-14 day for activation. At this point it was easier to go with another company having wasted a total 4 hours on the phone.

I'm on the Superfast 2 broadband where i should get around 63mbps.. on good days I get 53/54. However the routers supplied is useless, I keep getting drop outs on all devices. VF have sent me 3 routers all have the same issue! Customer service is poor. My advice is stay away, its more hassle than savings or quality.

    DO NOT USE THEM!

Ordered a new broadband package. Day before internet was due to go live still no router so contact Vodafone. After an hour found out due to an error their side the order didn't go through so would have to start from scracth and have two more weeks no internet.

As the order didn't go through I wasn't entitled for compensation.

I have just placed and order with Sky now and it is was easy!

Engineers missed two appointments without letting me know. They threaten a £110 fee if I missed the appointment but offer less than the Ofcom scheme that they have signed up to.

On the second missed appointment (a 9am to 1pm slot), I contacted their team via Tobi at 12:30 and received a response at 12:54 telling me that the engineer was still going to arrive on time. I questioned that and ten minutes later was told that there might be a problem and that they might need to rearrange. They put me on to a manager who told me the engineer was still going to arrive and that I needed to wait for them. Within two hours somebody then told me that they knew 24 hours in advance that the engineer wasn't going to arrive.

They have consistently promised compensation but only once the service starts. However, after 9 months, I still do not have a start date.

I pointed out that if I had missed those two appointments, they would have charged me £220. It grates on me that they do not value my time as a customer. Their response was to offer me £10 credit. When I declined, they went up to £50 as a 'good will gesture'.

I don't feel that they have particularly tried to help in even identifying what the problem is, let alone helping to solve this. After all this time, they till have not told me what the problem is, despite insisting that ultrafast broadband is available in my area.

I have wasted hours and hours dealing with this company. My biggest mistake was trusting them twice. Please please please learn from this and don't trust them even once. They talk some good talk when you first go with them, but it's all downhill (or non-existent) once you've committed.

Vodafone are a terrible provider. They lied about the speeds I could obtain. They then claimed I had to wait 2 weeks for speeds to "settle down" to reach maximum, which took up the cooling off period. Then speeds were no better. Speeds have constantly fluctuated generally 50% lower than the promised speed. Additionally customer services claim that you can give notice until the contract ends, therefore the promised 18 month contract becomes 19. Yet another dishonest business practice. My recommendation would be to avoid at all costs and try to find an honest broadband provider

Don’t trust Vodafone + CityFibre on “gigafast” internet.

I switched from Virgin to Cityfibre due to assurances that it’s reliable from
trusted friends, and the promise of symmetrical upload and download speeds.

    This was a huge mistake.

Installation was supposed to be Monday 26th September. I cancelled Virgin that day and cut the cable so the engineers didn’t need to drill another hole in the wall. Then they said there was some sort of “gap” in the cabling further up the street to the cabinet, so it couldn’t be finished. No idea what the issue was, but whatever. It took Cityfibre until yesterday, Friday 7th October, to send an engineer out to blow the cable. I was promised that it would be arranged “within the next 10 days”, which seems mean “we’ll bother to call you to arrange the visit exactly 10 days from now, then the visit will be at some point after that”. That seemed to work, and the lights on the ONT are all green.

But the internet is STILL not connected. The Internet light on the router is flashing red indicating it cannot be authenticated at Vodafone’s end. It was doing this all day yesterday. I wasted an hour on the phone to be told “everything is done our end, it can go live any time until midnight” even though it was patently obvious it would not magically fix itself at 2 minutes to midnight.

Quelle surprise, it doesn’t work this morning either. I have wasted another hour on the phone to Vodafone, only to be told that it is something Cityfibre need to fix, and they may need an engineer visit. But they’re shut on weekends, so I need to wait until Monday

I have been 12 days without broadband, relying on the 4G backup dongle. I have had to waste HOURS on the phone to both Cityfibre and Vodafone to find out what’s going on. And now it will be 14 complete days without broadband, assuming they actually fix it on Monday, which is seeming increasingly unlikely. No doubt I’ll be waiting another 10 days from Monday for the Cityfibre engineers to bother looking at the appointment system and scheduling me in. I am not even convinced it’s Cityfibre’s issue here, as the connection test the guy did to the ONT yesterday worked, it’s just the Vodafone authentication that’s not working. It’s definitely not the cable or the router hardware, as I’ve tested my own router (with the correct PPPoE credentials I was provided by Vodafone) and other cables.

I asked Vodafone to just try resetting the PPPoE credentials, as based on other forum posts, this seems to be the solution. They flat out refused and said “the problem is with Cityfibre”. This would fix the issue within minutes, but they’re unwilling to even *try*. This constant buck passing and refusal of both sides to accept any responsibility is absolutely ridiculous.

Don’t bother upgrading to Cityfibre through Vodafone if you get a circular through your door promising fast speeds, it’s probably not going to work and they’re not going to expend any effort whatsoever trying to fix it promptly. When it does eventually connect, I’m fully not expecting to get remotely close to the advertised speeds.

    Just a bunch of thieves,
I bought an internet dongle on a monthly pay as you go.
As they asked to sign a direct debit, I knew they will play this up and will try to overcharge me. On the day I received my device (29/10/23), I called and explained I need this line just for one month and no more. The advisor told me I need to wait to first direct debit goes throw so I can call and cancel. On the day of direct debit which was 14 days after I received my device (13/11/23), I called to ask for cancelation and they said the earliest they can cancel is 13/12/23 and they wanted to charge me extra 14 days. After nearly 2 hours on the line, I managed to spoke with a manager (Mr Mohammed). He went through my conversation on 29/10/23 and approved to my line to be disconnected on 29/11/23. Today again I received a bill to pay the whole month plus £5 extra which I don’t know why. Using their online chat and explained to the advisor, all I heard was “we are sorry but you need to pay”.

Do not use this company as they find million ways to take your money.

From the moment I switched from BT, who were excellent, I ran into issues.

Firstly, the onboarding process - it took me repeated attempts to sign up and when I did my go live date was delayed - I didnt receive any compensation (as I should according to Ofcom).

Secondly, and most importantly, the speed and quality fo the connection deterioratd rapidly. Pages wouldnt load properly. Connection would drop out randomly. Speed rarely got above 5mbps (this is FIBRE!!!), no matter what th ridiculous app said.

I raised this issue dozens of times. Each time I had to restate eveything again, go through the same poitnless diagnostics. In the end an excellent engineer from Openreach solved some of the problem, but not all and the service degraded again. Baiscally Vodafone oversold their product, and have insufficent capacity and are employing sneaky traffic shaping.

Custoemr service was atrocious. We have blindly stumbled on for a year but I finally bit the bullet and decided to leave my contract early, at great cost to myself.

Keep well away from this bunch of utter clowns. I wouldnt recommend this atrocious service to my worst enemy.

I am now worried that due to Dynamic Line Management my line has been degraded and effectivley "poisoned" by the terrible service these guys provideed and I will never get the heady, amazing speeds provided by BT ever again. I was comfortably getting 52mbps with BT, now no provided will guarantee more than 20mbps and it is all because of vodafone. It'll probably need to be reset by openreach all over agaiin.

They are ****ing useless ****s and I would never use these utter ****s again.

Avoid like the plague. Mis-sold a contract they could not deliver, lost my landline number 4 times and had to have different ones, cut off my internet. Now after 3 MONTHS they have said they are unable to get me a landline number as they have used them all up. So no landline or internet for 3 months. Now have to go somewhere else!

Its hard to decide whats worse the customer service or the worst broadband imaginable. All their tech teams are based in India with customer complaints in Egypt who just dont understand the issues. Nothing is there fault, the hub is hopeless, the app when it works is hopeless and even when you send pictures of it not performing its still not their fault. Worst customer care team i've ever came across, nothing i've experienced is worse than vodafone

I ordered vodaphone broadband several months ago. Routers have been delivered and promises about start dates made. Unfortunately the process has been beset by problems primarily due to poor communication inside vodaphone and terribly formulaic customer service. For example, they failed to realise that a different provider had an existing line that needed to be removed and they Incorrectly concluded that an engineer would not be needed. The process of coming to each of these conclusions was excruciating Partly because the customer service team and technical service teams do not communicate with each other properly. On a number of occasions the broadband was simply cancelled whilst we were in the process of trying to resolve some of these issues. At the same time the customer service assurance of callback is rarely met.
My advice: look at the reviews and customer service complaint of Vodafone first - you might be stuck in an endless cycle of customer service formulism like I am

Complete and utter GARRRRBBBOOOOOO. Hands down the WORST isp I have ever had the misfortune to have. Claim to be providing me with 27MB/s download speeds, when in reality they are barely capable of providing more than 300 Kb/s. Spoken to their customer support many times (who lack basic English skills) who give me the same response that they claim will fix their awful service but to no surprise, it doesn't. Constantly disconnecting, unable to hold a stable connection (when it does finally connect), unable to keep up with literally any other isp. Would NOT recommend Vodafone...they should have stuck to phones smh.

Total piece of garbage, internet keeps blacking out, sometimes it has 20 minute intervals of "internet, no internet", customer service takes 40 minutes to pick up the phone, and it won't even help. Never even think about purchasing from them...

The service I am receiving with Vodafone is abysmal.

The speeds we were guaranteed are 75mbps down.
Initially we got 60mbps down 16 up, but after a day, that dropped to 30mbps down 16mbps up, then after another day it dropped to 16 down 8 up, then to 8 down 4 up, then to 4 down, 2 up. The speeds we are currently getting are 1mbps down, 2mbps up over Ethernet and 2kbps down 32kbps up over WiFi.

Upon contacting customer service we were told that the issue is that Open Reach is limited to 15mbps which is absolutely a lie as we were getting 60mbps previously and 40mbps on BT less than 3 days prior.

While the broadband is more reliable than what we were getting with BT, where it would go down mid-day for seemingly no reason, I feel that giving it any more than 1 star for this would be giving Vodafone more credit than they deserve because of all other ways they suck.

    Utter garbage; Masters of incompetence.
I was supposed to go live on 7/10/2020 - was told initially that no engineers needed. Called tech support on 8/10/2020 - advised it was some routing issue and will be live by 13/10 and would send a sim card which could be charged with enough data to last until broadband is up and running.
I get the sim card on 12/10 so i call vodafone to get the data onto sim card as advised by that tech support advisor. I spoke with another advisor who now advised that i need to have engineer appointment (why wasn't i told previously) - apparently it is due to openreach (engineer) issue. Then she was unable to add any data to the sim card as it was apparently pay as you go sim!!!! so she said they would give me 1 month free mobile broadband (unlimited data). I was already on phone with this advisor for 3 hours and my family waiting for me to celebrate small birthday party (family of 5). SO she booked an engineer visit on 15/10/2020 am. I thought it is done and then she puts me through to another person for the mobile broadband and the first thing she says is that 'you know you have to pay for this'. My god, seriously, they do not even check anything before speaking with customers. in the end i decided not to go throught with the mobile broadband as i was tired after work and wanted to have some family time.
so i called the next day to the customer service again - who promised everything will be sorted on 15/10/2020 - also for 1 month free home broadband.
on 15/10/2020 - unfortunately as expected there was again no internet. so i called again after work - again another openreach issue was pointed out. they said another expert engineer was booked for 17/10/20. i was sick and tired of calling everyday. i just wasn't convinced with all this promises and asked her to have it sorted out by 16/10/20 or i will cancel the broadband.
on 16/10/2020 -as expected - of course nothing was sorted out. so i cancelled the broadband on the day.

    As of today on 20/10/20
    - not received any confirmation about the cancellation.
    - she also said she will send envelopes so that i could send back router and apple tv box - nothing received yet again
    - in fact an engineer turned up on 19/10 - had to send him away - he wasn't informed about the cancellation
    - so went to live chat on vodafone today - they said to contact them on phone as my internet was still not cancelled!!!!

seriously vodafone... hats of to the level of incompetence.....

I am currently again on hold to have the home broadband cancelled which I cancelled few days ago.

I ordered fast fibre in December 2022 and was told it would go live on 26th January 2023. Well, here I am 3 months and 1 day after finally getting the fibre connected to my property and it still hasn't gone live. Spoke to them this morning and they said they are just setting it up at their end and it would be live within an hour. Just spoke to them again and they to give them another 48 hours!!! Really disappointed

I originally had sky broadband 17mb and decided to give Vodafone a try due to their deal on he 38mb broadband with a free £200 gift. I received the router in the post and plugged it in and was told my activation date was the 7/9/17.

Towards the evening on 7/9/18 the service was still not active so I called Vodafone. After waiting an hour I got through and the Vodafone person said just wait until midnight. The next day 8/9/17 I called Vodafone again as the service still wasn't active. I waited again for an hour and got through to someone who said he would need me to reset the router by pressing down the reset button. I did this and then he said it'll work in 30 minutes. Obviously it didn't.

So I again called Vodafone and waited another hour on the phone before being connected. The lady said that I needed to download the Vodafone app on my phone and then id be able to set up the router via the app. She then proceeded to say 'is there anything else I can help you with' at which point I told her that she will need to stay on the phone whilst I download the app as it takes an hour to get through to someone and so far nobody seems to know what they're doing. I then downloaded and opened the app which of course didn't work with my router. The lady on the phone said she will just need to check something and put me on hold. She then came back and said that actually you can't activate the router via the app. So in other words she was about to fob me off again. She then proceeded to set up my router from her end. After she did this she told me my service will be live in 1 hour. So I then waited an hour, and guess what? obviously it didn't work.

So then I called back again and waited again for an hour and finally got through to someone who then actually did activate the broadband.

The broadband was initially fast. I had the 38mb package and was getting speeds of 33mb. Towards the evening the speeds dropped to between 1 and 2 mb. The homepage (which is google) also stopped loading and occasionally all internet services would just stop.

So I called Vodafone who told me to change the channel on the router. I did this and the same problems occurred. That was their only suggestion and they weren't sure what else to do.

My previous broadband was with sky ADSL 17mb and I got 17mb as their router is fantastic. The Vodafone router will just drop off and the worst thing is Vodafone do not allow you to connect your own router.

The only routers they accept to be connected to their broadband are open reach approved routers of which there is a very limited list of very specialist routers costing around £500 each.

Luckily you get a 30 day cooling off period so Ive now cancelled Vodafone. I don't know how I would have coped for 18 months with Vodafone broadband. More than likely I would have had to just pay the early termination charge (which would have been massive) just to get a working broadband service.

Do not touch Vodafone. They are voted the worst company for customer satisfaction for a reason. Ive now moved back to sky who answered my call in just 5 minutes as opposed to Vodafones 1 hour. I'll never make the mistake of moving to Vodafone for any of their services again.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH. I didn't think one company could be as bad as Currys Pc World, but Vodafone has topped it. I am under contract with them with mobile and broadband. Cannot wait to be free of them.
Switched from BT, stupidly. The speeds promised are absolute rubbish, which makes no sense because in my area VF are using BT lines.
We had an engineer come out, nothing, hours on calls to "tech support" nothing. I am at my wits end with this company. AVOID.

Never managed to get signed up. Only wanted broadband and not the rest of Vodafone's added on package. Went through the whole process and I was informed that I did not pass the Credit checks? (which were perfectly fine). They were offering a really good cashback deal at the time and I feel they were avoiding my custom so that they could avoid the cashback.Went else where.

Dysfunctional and appalling internet. We pay for 60+ MBpS but we're currently getting 6!

There are also frequent periods where the internet goes down and is unavailable.

We got in touch with customer services but their advice was to take the faceplate off the socket and investigate it ourselves, which we didn't want to do. And then stopped bothering to reply to us.
