I can sum it all up in one word: Dreadful!

Reliability is awful. We are having many regular service outages, whcih remain unresolved. They like to send new filters, fobbing their customers off when it is the infrastructure that is creaking.

Their customer service is shambolic with long queuing times. I have been in queues for 54 minutes and longer at times - all the while accruing telephone charges.

Broadband speed currently runs at 5 mbps and they are still not acceting fault. I am sure they will send me another filter.

Stay well away is all I can say. They do not deserve your business. I wil go back to BT. As infrastucture owners they at least give you preferential treatment over any other comanies they rent their lines to.

Extremely Frustrating! I switched over from EE to Sky a couple of weeks ago, and already I'm looking to jump ship and use another provider! First of all EE was alright, It wasn't the fastest in the world (around 4-5 mbps) but it was very very reliable, it never failed me, so after a year with them, I decided to go to Sky - bad move! the speeds is good enough, around 12 mbps, but the signal drops several times a day and this has been EVERY DAY since I've joined! This weekend its been like every 15-20 mins which is ridiculous. For a multi-million pound company, I really do expect better!

RUBBISH. Chats never available, useless customer service. If you have a problem, they just tell you to contact someone else, or to contact them another time. I should have had my broadband installed 11 days ago but I'm still without wifi at least for ten days. 0/10 would not recommend.

It is the worstttttttttt service I have ever had. The internet sucks, the servicemen screwed up my wires very badly and costumer service made me wait 1.5 hours just to hang up on me and not call me back. The instant messenger service is useless- waited two days for response and then got told to talk to phone reps! Worse ever!!

If I could give less stars I would. Entirely unhappy with sky as a provider! Misinformation when calling specifically to outline length of payment, only to be charged £52.20 in excess, when tried to resolve this, was hung up on, passed around departments and employees only to reach a dead end after 90 minute conversations in total (including both times I called after being hung up on). DO NOT JOIN SKY. Pulling out of all contracts with them; this cancelled broadband and line rental along with the family broadband, line rental and sky box (which we have had for years).

Awful. I agreed to an upgrade after trying to cancel. Nothing was as agreed. No Sky Q ultra HD no HD at all. No replacement dish. Cost would have gone up by £20 a month a few weeks into an 18 month contract. Would not honour the agreement pay termination fees with BT. PRINT all account information every time you look as it changes all the time even cutting you off form the account so they can change it. Hours of my life wasted trying to sort things out. Account now show as being charged £10 a month out of contract fees + £3 for Mcfree (never asked for it or used it ) even though TV is no longer in contract and I have no longer got Sky broadband (which was cancelled within the cooling off period). The sky Q box provided got so hot it was very pain full to touch so turned it off as a fire risk. The Sky broadband hub could not even reach a printer 8ft (no other hub has this problem) away in clear line of site and only has 2 ethernet ports. Wireless data transfer is so slow it was like going back to the 90s it would have taken days to download a game I have high speed fibre so not the line. They agreed refunds when no service is available, deduct the amount agreed then add it back on. Promise to call back and never do, useless and rude. The only option left to me at this point is contact a solicitor.

Pathetic speed and reliability. They say its because we are using wifi but the that is the whole point of a wireless device surely. It looses connection when we are sitting in front of the hub and you have no chance in the other rooms.

I am surprised why I didn't got the monthly message with the amount of the bill... I guess because the price went to triple! This is the reason I am leaving not only broadband, but phone and TV too. Everyone should know how sky does!

Worst customer service, they increased the price for more than 25% and won’t cancel my services after calling in many times. They restricted my account and now can’t get connected to customer services. They record all the calls they can see clearly I requested to cancel my services after that increased the prices they agreed months later I’m still getting bills, had to call again and again and finally restricted my account without cancelling it, are they stupid? They’re just thieves wth, never seen a company like this they just want to rob people. Somebody need to stop SKY Services and sue them for millions of pounds they are thieves.

Truly truly hopeless. Customer service is an absolute joke, and "broadband" speed lucky if it's over 0.2mb. A year I put up with unusable Internet.

Router you get supplied is not good, also using out date components. Take your money elsewhere.

Sky Broadband Everyday Lite has been fantastic! I moved to Sky from TalkTalk a few weeks ago. At TalkTalk the reliability was terrible. But at sky the speed is good enough but reliability is excellent. I was looking for broadband that wouldn't disconnect when I'm playing online video games, and sky were
perfect for me. I'm glad the reliability is good and I can make do with the speed.

So decided I needed broadband and contacted Sky mid February and signed up for their sky q broadband and television package. Satellite installed no problem ( although took two visits and had to cut down five trees in the back garden) but nonetheless resolved in a timely manner and up and running within three weeks. Broadband however has taken four engineer visits between sky and open reach, 11 weeks and over 10 calls sitting on hold to sky and still no broadband. The last engineer left saying the phone line is up and running four weeks ago, the line does exist as my sky id can be found when searching wifi connections. Sky are saying that they are waiting for a confirmation on open reach in order to activate my service after four weeks of calling and being told that my confirmation is stuck on the open reach system I asked what I need to do for someone to take my complaint seriously and they said all I can do is sit on the waiting list that I am already on. I asked if I can make a complaint to open reach directly which I was told I could but when you go on open reach website it simply tells you to contact your service provider. I cannot believe that there is no way that such a large company cannot resolve an issue so simple. Sky have now kindly taken to sending me a weekly automated text message for the past four weeks to inform me that there is a problem with my service and they are looking into it. There is no customer service interest they are happy to leave you to make phone calls and sit on hold to relay the whole story to their team, only to be passed to another department to retell the whole story again only then to tell you nothing can be done. I must have wasted in excess of seven hours sitting on the phone to sky over these issues. So I am now paying for a television package with only some functions working because not all the functions work without broadband. Totally fed up with the whole process and so disappointed that a company this renowned has no interest in resolving their customer issues.

First of all, I am greatly disappointed from the Sky service so far.

I bought an essential broadband package (it started with a cost of £19 a month and then they increased it to £24 for no reason). I was supposed to have an average download speed of 11 Mbps and an average upload speed of 0.8 Mb, which instead are 1.63 and 0.16 Mbps - incredibly slow. Just to give an idea of how slow it is, there is no way to watch a movie in HD.

I decided to upgrade my setup as a superfast fibre was available for £26/month - this with the idea that Sky connection is not good in my area. I will get the fibre activated in 10 days and let's see how it goes. Hopefully, the fibre will do what is written on the tin and will be location independent.

PS customer service and Sky policy are awful.

Had.nothing but trouble since sky bought 02 broadband. Totally unreliable. Poor speeds despite being on fibre optic. So fed up with sky that I am going to virgin media for it instead as they already do my tv. If sky dare to tell me that I'm in a contract with them, I will point out that they broke the contract with non existent service

Sadly there isnt a 'no star' rating, so Ive had to choose 1 star. Connection keeps dropping tho sky say its fine. It doesnt drop now and then, it drops regularly, dozens of times a day for as much as an hour at a time before you can get back on line. Joined 2/1/14 and as of today, we are STILL having issues. No connection for as much as 45/60 minutes at a time. Was with 02 for 6 or 7 years never an issue. Sky say they are waiting for the line to 'stableise'. They have had me plugging and unplugging things in and out. Sky are bloody useless. NO WAY would I recommend them. Its that bad, despite me currently having an offer of £15 for the YEAR (as a previous 02 customer) I am now off to Virgin and will gladly pay for it just to get the internet. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Dont waste your time and effort. Spend your money elsewhere, SKY are just totally and utterly diabolical. Cannot stress enough how useless they are. there arent sufficent words to describe their incompetance.

I really wish I could give SKY ZERO for everything. I will break down all the areas on here.
Overall Satisfaction 0…why! I could cry right now. For the last 2 weeks i have had connectivity of up to 2hrs per day. From last evening till now 12.29pm nothing works. No connection at all. I have missed my favourite tv programmes, can’t access my business emails, i have lost a lot of business in the past during Covid time due to loss of connectivity. I have made several calls, once they came out changed wiring …sorry don’t know what its called. TBH it was just as good as doing nothing. That was last year October, this year I have made more than 20calls, some not answered. They send me a booster months ago, didn’t change anything. When I called was told its a wrong one and the right one was going to be send by next day delivery. This was 2months ago, guess what…still waiting! I had one of the customer service man tell me to go to office to use broadband if I can’t get it in my house! I was gobsmacked. I am paying for a service and expect to receive that service. I am considering OMBUDSMAN right now as I have had more than 6yrs of

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have this rule book which is made to check mate customer and not really to help. Customer service chat is ALWAYS BUSY. the department should be renamed as CUSTOMER HARASSMENT department. INstalling dish is thr problem, but removing is yours, obviously thats a additional cost to you, but then HEY its CUSTOMERS PROBLEM.

BIG TIME DISPPOITMENT-IF ANYONE WATCHING, NEVER EVER GO FOR THIS SKY TV.

Customer of 20 years and Sky can truly stick there service as enough is enough, constant bad attitudes of customer services, all recent sport / movies moved to ppv / pay extra channels leaving pure garbage on subscription channels and then further insult is constant yearly price increase. Absolutely dreadful - worse since we changed to Sky W. can you believe their 'new' router only has 2 ports? It is also designed to only accept their products when acting as a bridge! (Think I've got that right?) I had to have 2 poor guys spending 2 mornings trying to connect to it until this was discovered. A sheer disgrace. Our speed us awful, but, worst if all, it drops out constantly ad I can't get a connection 2 rooms away from the router! Not fit for the modern world. Go to another provider. I found this site whilst looking fir a more appropriate one.

This review is based on the 2 or 3years with Sky since it took over BE. Not being technically minded I had not tested for speed until towards end of last year when I found I was getting the abysmal download speed of 0.9Mbps as opposed to the minimum 7Mbps promised in their contract. Complaining to Sky, they put me through 3 rounds of "home testing" before referring to BT openreach - another 3 visits. After the final one, the improvement was marginal. BT engineer then raised the possibility Sky was capping my speed. We tried to get through to Sky - continuously engaged - no surprise there. BT advised me to wait a week to see if any improvement from its line repairs. There wasn't. I then rang Sky and passed on the engineer's comments about capping. I don't have a recording of the call but the Sky operative said he would check. Miraculously there was an improvement next day. Which suggests to me capping was the issue. Sky has continued to claim it was line noise. I don't believe them. (Previously when I called Sky they refused to put me through to a supervisor on grounds they would tell me no different. So much for service.) I complained to the comms ombudsman - don't waste your time. You don't get to see what they base a decision on, in this case it seemed to be taking Sky's word at face value. It claimed the matter was resolved without any action being necessary by Sky - which showed it did not even read the papers properly since problems remained for a week after BT finished before I raised the capping issue. Sky refused point blank to assist me in getting repair records from Openreach despite my understanding only the Broadband provider can do this (not members of the public). Nothing to do with the ombudsman complaint of course. But then neither would the ombudsman give a ruling as to who was entitled to approach Openreach - prejudiced towards Sky by default. So Sky breached its contract on speed for 2 or 3 years, tried to blame the problem on BT, did not read or answer letters properly, on the phone would not pass me to a manager, forcing me to go through the Ombudsman process ( a total waste of time - probably prejudiced towards providers on my experience) and then it turned out that all along the problem may have been to do with its own capping of speed. That's not something they publicise with their special offers. Although after this saga the speed has now improved, I wonder how long for? I am looking for a provider from which I can rely on a decent service, not hiding potential limitations like capping speed, with decent customer service when problems arise (their phone and on-line chat lines are continually engaged). Draw your own conclusions. If you are getting a decent service now, you better hope no problems arise. Avoid if you are looking for a new provider. Also don't waste your time with the Ombudsman - they take for ever, can't read papers properly, do not provide evidence from the other side. The basis of their decisions is hidden.
Their decisions are not reviewable i.e. they are beyond criticism - hence no doubt the poor quality of their staff. I wonder who pays for them?

Absolutely shocking, shocking service. Never had anything like that. First of all, they say that they give good speeds for my area yet my neighbours are only hitting 5 Mbps? If I were to only be so lucky. I have been checking my internet speeds consistently over the past few days. 1 Mbps. I started downloading a game last night at 7pm. 25 hours later and im 19% in. TERRIBLE. Also, it's worse value for money than professional football matches. Avoid Sky at all costs, people. Don't even bother giving yourself such a bad time. Never, ever again.

The whole thing failed completely as soon as it was connected (and just after Sky had terminated my account with BT) and *the most* passive aggressive customer services rep told me it'd be 4 days before the engineer - who had been working on the cabinet that morning - would be out to fix it. She even acted surprised when I asked if I'd be charged for the time they had left me without broadband.

It's a double whammy of sh*t British customer service stalwarts. They've dressed up a cutback in engineers as "engineer-free set up" which leaves you high and dry if there's any complications, and the customer service scripts are riddled with apologies while the actual underlying attitude and service level is far closer to contempt.

This broadband is utter rubbish... I would highly recommend you avoid sky like the plague! I'm on fibre optic but uet Ican't watch a 7 second you tube video... and at night the phone trips the house alarm and scares mhalf to death! I'm 12 and I know more aboit the product than the customer service personnel... to avoid all the issues that I have been through, pick differently!

Odd to be so dissatisfied with so many high markings, but Sky are so expensive, why shouldn't their broadband speed be good?

I am disappointed with Sky because they are massively more expensive than (say) BT Vision, and only after I had cancelled my contract did they offer a discount. In fact, before I left, they wanted me to pay £199 to replace a two year old box that had stopped working!

Not only that, but despite having two weeks left to run (two weeks I have paid for I might add) Sky have crippled my broadband speed, and disabled most of the functionality of my Sky+ box.

Nice touch Sky, especially after six years 'together'!

    Au revoir.
