The worse service ever! I spent 45 min answering the same questions to different customers advisers! Looks like they want you to spend as much as possible time on the phone paying 0870 number. So annoying!
I was waiting for the broadbend delivery for two weeks! But they just rejected my order without letting me know!
Never again!

staff are rude and talk over you after asking a question the Internet hasnt worked for the whole 6 years we have had it, I'm sick of ringing to be spoken to like I'm an idiot they don't have a clue what they are talking about as you get told one thing by one person and another thing by another person, absolutely useless company and now they want to put up the bill for something that doesn't even work properly absolutely waste of time

Waste of space if you use their email service. Very disappointing and frustrating. Often down for upgrading, often impossible to log in to emails or freezes or drops out. My advice, avoid like the plague!!!

I have it with TALKTALK. I try to play my ps4 pro, but the internet turns of and on, all the time.I try to play some ROBLOX if I'm board and it can't even load it. They charged £65, for a guy who came out for a couple of minutes plus the bill it costs £101. Awful. I'm changing provider, to something else. The speed for downloads are awful as games take weeks to download. It says super router but the older white box was fine.

Pathetic level of service. They dont have a clue what Openreach tells stories about fixing thing. This is prime example of what happens when the company have no boots on the ground and have no knowledge of how things work and simply piggyback on someone else's infrastructure and knowhow to earn money.

My average download speed with talk talk is 0.5 Mbs. After more than one month and hours spend on the phone with their terrible customer service they still didn't manage to resolve the problem. I had to cancel the contract and they wanted to charge me!

I'd read some poor reviews of Talk Talk's customer service, but it seemed that the majority of these issues were a few years ago so decided to take up their service, sadly I was wrong.
After looking at some broadband and TV packages, I was pushed through to the TalkTalk sales portal and given a number to call. After discussing the package I'd chosen with the sales staff and importantly reiterated the channel selection for confirmation, I made my purchase. Two weeks later approximately, the service was set up only for me to discover a number of the channels I'd ordered were not available. After a call to customer service I was told these channels were not on the plan I had and would require me to pay more to upgrade, they also told me that as this was a third party site they had no control over what was put up. A comment I rebuked by informing him I was pushed through to the TalkTalk website and had verbalised this with one of the Talk Talk sales team (not a very customer centric method of dealing with the complaint). I was deeply disatisfied with this answer and asked to make a formal complaint and was assured of being called from the CEO's office (really?) within 5 working days. After day 6, I called back and was told in no uncertain terms that the offer would not be given as discussed. End of discussion. At this point I decided to cancel my service with them immediately.
My only recommendation is to be crystal clear if purchasing by phone as mis selling is still present in the market place, and other than a complaint to Ofcom, you have little immediate recourse outside of your initial 14 day cooling off period. There is plenty of content online, so please educate yourself before taking out a plan. Poor form Talk Talk

I wouldnt recommend this internet to prisons for the criminals. Absolutely shocking. Will be looking to switch next month. DO NOT GET THIS INTERNET!!!

Awful service, unfortunately I am a customer with Talk Talk and in a contract with them for the next 17 months. The customer did seem to have improved a couple of years ago after several years of awful customer service now it seems to have got back that way. My broadband recently cut out on me, was fixed after 3 days so for 3 days I didn't have access to broadband when I work from home so I had to travel into the office every day which cost me time and money then when I claimed for compensation they offered me £3.50 which was a complete insult. Terrible service, wouldn't renew with them again, should have learnt from the first time but because of a good Sky Sports they got me back, but not falling for that trick again

I have been with talk talk for only 2 months and in that time i have been on to them about there broadband service which is basically none existent i have had 2 talk talk engineers out and a BT engineer too, 1 of each within 7 days of each other and still no broadband, when i phoned up again they did all the line test as per usual and then told me they were going to send out yet another engineer which would be charged at £50 if they found a fault with the wiring that they supplied. yes i did connect it myself but lets face it, its not rocket science but even so, i know that it is a connection problem with their router as i can plug a sky router in to the socket and i get perfect connection but this means i'm unable to watch the entertainments package that i'm paying for too.
How can a company that is meant to be so big and good, be so rubbish.
#If you ask to speak to someone from the CEO of the company you get told that they can not put you through or give a contact No which is a load of crock in my eyes.
I will be taking legal action against talk talk for services not received and looking for compensation for this plus loss of earnings

This has to be the worst provider I have ever used. The customer service is terrible and extremely slow. Don't expect to resolve any issue quickly! The router is poor. In my case does not allow home working via vpn, fairly standard requirement these days! Service is too slow. I had an installation issue that took 3 days to resolve. The technical team have little to no information. After 3 days of having the service I tried to cancel and am being charged £140 due to ending my contract early (because I am 1 day over the 20 day order period from when I originally placed the order). They make no allowance for installation delays, getting the engineer out and connecting you up to your go-live day, so beware!

For the price of £49 monthly that I pay, I get sky tv, free calls on my landline, broadband, which is slower than my last provider, but for what I want to do on the internet, it is sufficient. after I have had it 18 months, the monthly payments go up to £59 which I can't grumble at, but may change if I can get the same for the same price I pay now.

Words fail me with this so called company - hours of time phoning emailing. They've ask me to perform the same line checks every time I call - guard engineers like they are sacred - what about the customers?? They text and call you saying they will assume you are ok if you don't get back to them...but leave no number to return the call and a return text bounces straight back!!! Indian call centre very polite but you may as well be talking to a plank of wood...no empathy for the customer or initiative to provide customer service whatsoever. Still waiting for the CEO to call me...won't hold breath...I'm off to Virgin!!!

Up until a month ago I couldn’t really complain about Talk Talk as a provider, however since then I have not had a good word to say about them. First of all we moved house and made Talk Talk aware of this and they confirmed they had chan he s our address. The internet worked out our new address for a day and then went down. We spent a few days talking to numerous people on there app and trying to call to get down to the problem and eagh time we talked to someone new they just repeated what the previous person said. Some even stopped conversations with us mid conversation and passed us on to someone else who then started from the beginning of t he troubleshooting process even though we told them what we had already tried. We finally arranged for a engineer to come out and fix the problem and we double checked they had the right address which they confirmed but guess what... when the time came the engineer went to the wrong address and couldn’t come to our new address due to policy reasons. He was furious too as he couldn’t get through to Talk Talk either to understand why he’d been sent to the wrong address. My partner is a teacher and during this pandemic has been trying to teach from home when she’s not in school emailing and contacting parents and children to help them with work. She has ran out of data on her phone twice and had to buy more just to help reply to questions asking for help from her students. She’s also had to make extra trips into her school to try get some work done which she couldn’t do at home due to no internet, adding to the health safety risk she’s already under teaching children of key workers. Talk has said on numerous occasions that there technical support team was going to call us and has never done so. They did call once to which we answered but they hung up within 3 seconds of us answering the call. We have changed provider because of this terrible service, as while they charge a cheap rate and the speed of the broadband is okay, there’s nothing worse than poor service when something goes wrong especially when they don’t even act like they care and considering the current climate which has put my partner and family at risk by having to make more trips outside when we should have been in lockdown limiting our time spent outside. Horrendous service I would not recommend going with Talk Talk just for the rubbish service. You’ve been warned, I’d much rather pay the extra couple pounds a month and go with someone more reliable. I don’t normally review products but felt like the bad service in this unprecedented time was unreasonable as at no pint we’re we kept updated about what was being down to resolve our problem.

I put my order in for talk talk buisness broadband November 2015. I was told that the line will be installed and your go live date will be in 2 weeks time, Talk Talk we're very reluctant to take my card details and set me up for a 12 month direct debit contract.
Since that time we have had 4 engineers from BT Openreach come out all not knowing what the previous engineer had come and done, why the other engineers could not complete the work.
Every time i phone up to see why this has happened and try submit a complaint to a manager I am told there is nothing that they can do more than me and they will be telling you the same thing. Once I phoned to complain I was told all managers are in a meeting and the call center oprative had no idea when the meeting would finish or when it had started.
A fresh line was to be installed. A sub pole was installed on the 20th of December 2015 by BT Openreach,a month and a half after placing my order. I have since been given 5 appointment dated since that time each one having to be cancelled and pushed back to a later date. Apparently talk talk have no idea why it has been pushed back and they cannot do anything about it.
Finally an engineer turned up and installed half the line on the 18th of January 2016. He then told me that a hoist would be needed to complet the job. I believe this is very poor planning on talk talk's part as they should have included this in the equipment needed for the job. The trees did not grow out over the Christmas period.
I was then given a date for the 27th of January where the work will be complete.
However I received a call today saying your new date for the completion of the work will be on the 4th of Febuary 2016. I asked why has the date been pushed back, but they have no idea for why this has happened neither do they have it on any of there records. I do have a text message and email from talk talk that the work will be completed on the 27th of January 2016.
I spoke today to someone from talk talk call center and the manager, both had a very impolite manner of speaking. I do not believe that a paying customer should be treated they way I have been treated over the last couple of months.
Talk talk advisors have also told me they do not have a direct number for BT Openreach, I can't imagine how that buisness relationship works? I have also been told today that "I can put you through to cancelation department if you do not want to carry on"
My buisness has seriously been affected by talk talks service. Broadband is a huge part of marketing in our buisness and we are not able to move foward.
I am not a very happy customer of talk talk and would not go with them again if I knew it would be like this. I hope someone from talk talk can read this, so no more of their customers are treated how I have been messed around.

Overall talktalk promise high amazing speeds. Get it installed - disconnections everywhere, takes 10 hours to download 2GB. Disconnections from games. Wireless drops are a massive issue.
Definitely switching back to Virgin. May be more expensive, but at least they don't lie about the speeds.

I was lied too ~ inaccurate information
I spent 20 minutes online signing up to a 12 month contract only to be told on the order confirmation page once payment had been taken, that it was in-fact an 18 month contract instead. Fuming !!

Although TalkTalk is much cheaper than the other providers, it gets very annoying when my speed is as low as 4Mbps and highest speed is around 11 Mbps, but more often than not, it is down to the 4-6Mpbs.My connection also dips in and out daily.

I've been with TT for a lot of years now and find it good value. Once upgrading to medium fibre I get 36mbps download and 2meg upload. My only gripe really is I expected more than 2 meg upload but 36mbps is great for HD on the Youview box with no buffering. Emails also the odd time have problems retrieving but this doesn't occur all the time. Generally a very stable connection with a great range super router. Customer service is poor offshore but if you complain like I once did on their survey email they quickly get a UK office to call you who are ace and know their stuff.

Have had to have the router replaced 3 times in 24 months due to faults. Technical help are no help, sending you on circular routes of the same advise - top tip, ask for an engineer visit, they will never offer one.
When trying to disconnect, they have hung up on me 4 times in total, and lied about the amount of notice required (is it 30 days or 7?).
No better on their Twitter, if you make it clear you want to leave, just ignore your tweets. If this is how private industry behaves, give me nationalised industries any day of the week.

I signed up to TalkTalk on 30 Dec 2009 and am still waiting to be connected (it's now 22 May).
I have had nothing but problems from them and have to say that the best customer service I get is when I call the cancellations department.
First they failed to inform the BT engineer checking my line was live to install a new socket (my original socket is attached to a front door where there are no sockets and a very hot storage heater).
This then led to a delay as the engineer had to come back out to install it. Since then I've had numerous excuses about there being issues with the connection and nobody seems to know why.
I'm so fed up of waiting now that if come Tuesday (25 May), the latest date they said it will all go live, I'm going to cancel and will happily go somewhere else even if it means paying more for a better service.

I needed to save money so my hand was forced into signing up with TalkTalk. I thought 'fiber' meant I was getting fiber optic, but nope, TalkTalk are all about the archaic internet delivery via a phone line. This in turn means I have to sign into the various devices I have that use wi-fi connection regularly. I lose connection daily and have to switch the router on and off which doesn't always solve the issue. The slightest drop of rain wreaks havoc with the connection. The internet is so painfully slow at times that I give up altogether on whatever I'm doing that requires wi-fi. All in all I just keep thinking about the day I can switch my contract again.

Absolutely awful!!! Took out fibre, was told we would get a speed of between 39-40mbps, currently getting 19! I have just got off over a 2 hour phone call and was on hold for 40 minutes to be told the highest speed i can get is 31mbps. Have been called a liar by the agent so i sent proof of the speed i was told i would get to be told i never should have been told that there's nothing they can do. Avoid this company at all costs, should have gone to BT.

I arranged full fibre with BT via a switching site and went live 4/7/23. The Talktalk fttc and phone were disconnected on that date by Openreach. I expected BT and Talktalk to agree that date of handover and expected no charges from Talktalk from 4/7/23 under the code of practice / switching arrangements.
I checked in with Talktalk to ensure the cancellation of service had gone through and charges were not billed. This hadn’t happened. In short they want a further 30 days of charges despite knowing I’m Out of contract, disconnected with no phone line or broadband from them. Isn’t that fraud? Taking money for nothing. To add insult to injury if I don’t agree to pay for 30 days they won’t cancel a non existent service and would bill me indefinitely. Isn’t that gross fraud and corrupt and intimidation? Also if you cancel the direct debit they charge you extra and /or according to other posts are known to send bills to you. They are a disgrace and money grabbing, trying to ring out all they can from new and old customers.

Customer service is exceptionally bad.
They make it incredibly difficult to have a conversation with someone, whether that be by phone or chat. The chat is so slow to respond and the phone operators put you on hold for an age.
Leaving with an incredibly sour taste in the mouth and will never use Talk Talk again as a result.
