    Talktalk is the worst broadband i dont recomend them to anyone, they dont tell you when your contract is up and they put the charges up we started off paying 17 pound then ended up paying £30+ we tried to cancel twice and they tried to stop that from happening by saying both times we have to wait 30 days to cancel (60 altogether)

    Worse ever service ive ever had …. terrible if i could score -10 i would…. 3 days of been transfer , lied to and put on hold …. how many times ive lost count !!! this is by far the worst broadband company on the planet …. i need internet for medical reasons which ive stressed on countless occasions and nothing … just lie of lie …. this is a way of keeping you hanging on … “ i just transfer you to the correct department “ 5 times today … we both stressed and had enough.. Its been the worse time ever ive dealt wit any service provider …. after over 3 hours we was getting no where and we both was on 2 phones speaking at same time to cancel!!! in the end i said no more transferring … no more details you have had them a hundred times already enough is enough we cancelled … we then contacted our bank explained the trouble and cancelled the Direct Debit … i wouldnt wish this on anyone …. our first couple of weeks in our new dream home by the sea has been ruined by Talk Talk BEWARE

    Horrible company for months now been having problems with the wifi when i can get through to them the test they run are useless as its a problem with the hub itself when say that to them they dont listen and carry out thier perfetic test rang them today explained the problem and they just hung up. Not a happy customer and i will be slating talk talk where ever i can.

    Word company ever keep saying we don't owe them money then keep ringing for money for a mobile I've never had of them they are a joke don't touch this company you will regret it I'm on point of taking them to court had enough now

    Dont touch this company just go sraight to sky did not get the service we required so went to sky now isued with 475 pound bill for breaking my contract or they will send balifs in total farce if you want trouble go to them my advice leave well alone

    [indian] call centre is atrocious. Incapable of understanding the most basic information [such as that i am not at the place where the line fault is at this moment] yet spouting telecom-jargon that i can't understand!! Rigid following of their 'script' means pauses long enough to suspect they've gone away to brew a cup of tea... roaund a nd round you go....

    Well what can I say, talk talk are rubbish! we are paying for a faster internet service and it's taken me 3 minutes to even load this page to complain! we've only had this service for 2 weeks I've a right mind to change back to BT - Avoid don't waste your money!!

    This company is the worst. There customer services is the worst i have ever dealt with. They are patronising unhelpful and do not listen they will talk over you as though they are just reading from a script. Television never works or is slow and never loads. Internets not too bad but not as quick as virgin or sky at all. I would avoid this company spend a bit more because although tqlk talk is cheap you pay for what you get a cheap service

    AWFUL!This company is by far the worst I have ever dealt within my whole company I have ever dealt with.Not a single good word to say about them - the cowboys of the internet industry. From terrible intermittent connections and speeds - absolutely no chance of online gaming - to the unbelievably bad customer service - "I'll send an inginier(?) who says you have moisture on your contacts!!!" - to automatically re-issuing your contract without ANY WARNING and charging £260 to opt out of their pathetic service! avoid this company - every one in our town now knows this! TALKTALK ARE BAD ON EVERY COUNT!

    I'm 65, and without a doubt I can say this is BY far the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life! The custom support is nothing short of useless. I would NOT recommend TalkTalk to anyone!

    I wouldn't even give them one star. Shocking. I ordered talktalk through the comparison site- seemed like a good deal and a girl from work said they weren't too bad. Had a installation date for in 2 weeks time. The day before the installaton date a man called me and basically told me noone was coming out the next day- i had taken the day off work! i was then told that there was a problem with my line and that BT openreach would have to fix it before it could be up and running. I was outraged that i wasnt contacted and spoke to someone from the complaints team- they gave me a better deal and said a manager would call me back that day- no surprise no call. This was a friday- i tried to use the online chat to find out my start date but he never called me back and was useless. I waited till monday and when i phoned them they said no i was Wrong and that someone would be calling me a week later! I told them this wasn't good enough and all i wanted was my start date.I patiently waited for the call the following week. I then recieved the call and the guy told me i would be waiting 4 more days to get another call as they would now be forwarding my details to openreach???????? They kept telling me that it was a problem with openreach and that there's nothing they could do about it it was their issue to fix first. i said ok i will wait for the next call and i better have my installaton date. It was coming up to a month of waiting now. I was so fed up so i booked a installaion date online with sky. I then phoned talktalk back and told them i wanted to cancel with them as I'd had enough and already a month had gone by and i was still waiting with no start date. They pleaded not for me to go and said that if the other company installs it before they did then i could call back and cancel with talktalk. They then sent me notifications saying my start date would be 2 days after my date with sky(which was the following week). Sky had already sent me the modem and confirmed my address and time with me. What a surprise it was when the sky man came and installed it- no issue with my line- it was installed. I was so happy when i made the call to tell talktalk they are a joke and nothing more than a waste of my time!!

    Probably the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Can't change ownership without sending a form through the post. For a company that are supposed to be dealing with technology the fact that they need you to send forms via the postal service is shocking. It's 2022 I managed to buy a house through digital means and I can't even change broadband ownership without sending forms carrier pigeon is ridiculous. 0 stars

    Absolute waste of time and money. Customer service advisors are infuriating and you can barely understand them. They keep you on the phone for ages saying the same thing. Broadband drops out all the time and basically it's a totally rubbish service!

    The WORST service I have ever experienced ever. Although I have rated 1 star for speed and reliability of broadband, we never actually got to experience it because after waiting two weeks after the agreed go live date, there was a problem with TalkTalk and we were looking at a month of being without Wifi. If there had been an option to rate 0 stars I would have done. I Cancelled my account with TalkTalk, and was assured no charges were incurred, to which I replied that was obvious as we hadn't actually received any kind of service to pay for. The man on the phone seemed to think they were doing me a favour by not charging us anything for cancellation. This made the whole ordeal even more outrageous when I consider the phone bill and my time spent being on the phone for an hour at a time, being passed person to person just for the right to be able to cancel a service which cannot even be considered a service. If anything I genuinely feel they should reimburse me for the stress and anger they have caused me. It turns out they conveniently did not process my cancellation, so next month, after having moved smoothly to Virgin Media where we had internet set up within a day, I looked through my bank statement and had been charged 22 pounds from TT. I called them, subsequently spent an hour being transferred, the line (conveniently) cutting whenever the automatic system registered I was complaining, and the lady telling me it would take a week to disconnect and be cancelled. I also had been told (the first time I cancelled) that I should ignore absolutely ALL following correspondence from TT. Yet I opened a letter from them after realising I had been charged my Direct Debit, and there was a returns bag, stating I must return the router or else I would incur a charge if not done in time. I suppose this would have had to be paid if I had not complained about it in time. I cannot believe the level of cynical profiteering and general sneakiness of their part. Please please save yourself the time, energy and peace of mind and go with a more honest, competent and reputable company because Talk Talk are the epitome of the polar opposite of those descriptions.

    ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! over 2 hours on the phone, 4 different operators and most of the time on hold. I ONLY WANTED TO CANCEL THE RUBBISH CONNECTION! they wouldn’t have it, told different things with each operator! WASTE OF MONEY, RUDE!!!*** do not go with them!

    Unfortunately I have to give one star!!
    Absolutely horrendous. Internet hasn't worked since it was fitted. Two one hour sessions with on line engineers still not resolved it. Went through to customer services to cancel service as goods not for fit for purpose and was told I have to go without broadband working for 28 days as proof of not working in order to get out of contract!!
    Very poor customer services; completely scripted. Hung on for 20 minutes before being dealt with and got moved from pillar to post! Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. My pet hamster could provide better customer service- and he's been dead for two years (RIP Hammy!)

    Absolute Rubbish.
    Broadband often slow and gets stuck (we are on the new fast broadband supposedly) and no one can do anything about it.
    Customer Service takes ages to pick up phone, takes about 5 minutes to go trough security questions (and keep on asking them every time they pass the call to someone else). Problems don’t get solved.
    Now I have been told that it will take up to two months to obtain a copy of a bill from just over a year ago and I have been kept on the phone for 40 minutes for it.

    Promised a shopping voucher upon joining. It never arrived. Their response - they posted it and so it's my bad luck. Numerous issues with the service. Really glad to finally be leaving.

    A terrible awful service. Have had no internet for 48 h. Had to Chase for progress (none) guy on the phone following a script rather than helpful. No idea if/when anyone is addressing issue. Losing money as depend on internet access . Need ro investigate another provider.

    If you are thinking of going with TalkTalk - I'll give you one word of advice:DON'T.

    The customer service - before and after installation of the service - is really the worst possible. The web site is a nightmare to navigate, the web chat a very bad joke and calls to customer services end up in South Africa or India where the staff have very poor command of English and even less understanding of technical problems.

    Broadband speed is running at about 3MB instead of the 10-14 projected. Getting this attended to is ending up with my tearing my hair out.

    Cancelled my mobile contract as soon I could byt am still receiving bills even though TalkTalk confirmed weeks ago the account was closed. (And that was after no service on the mobile line for two weeks).

    To cap it all, even though this joke of an organisation whose systems are so bad that hackers strolled in and stole millions of mobile data records including mine which in turn meant I had to waste time ensuring my bank account was secure, have just sent through an email to say they are putting up prices. If there's an organisation in my opinion that thoroughly deserves to go bust it's TalkTalk.

    I have never ever experienced such a lack of customer care or professionalism. The whole Talk Talk experience is a joke. They were notified on 28 June of my home move and told connection would go live in my new place on 13 July. After 6 hours on the phone trying to communicate with staff that have no English language skills was enough. Talk Talk had arranged for a BT engineer to attend my property but did not bother to inform me of this visit. When questioned and asked what time the visit is booked for so that I can arrange time off I was told that they can't confirm this until 24 hours after my appointment - where is the logic in that ???

    Constantly refused to escalate the complaint to the UK - call centre is based in the Philippines. In the end I googled the CEO and contacted directly. A tiny bit of hope there, I have now cancelled Talk Talk with no cancellation charge and have since joined Sky who have dispatched the equipment to me already........complete contrast to Talk Talk.

    Talk Talk may be cheap but be warned no customer care whatsoever and even the UK staff confirm the set up is a shambles !!!

    Steer clear is my advise

    Over the last month (July 2021) my wifi has started just dropping out consistantly every 5 to 10 minutes. Some days it's on and off, other days its down for 10hours straight.

    When it is working it can now barely load a basic website.


    I'm losing out on work because I can't get anything done!!

    This hasn't been a problem previously. I've been with Talk Talk for 2 years (in 2 different flats) - This just started a month ago and has been consistantly terrible since.

    - if you manage to get hold of Customer service they just tell you to unplug everything then plug it back in.

    I'm paying for a service that I can't use. I literally just need to get onto the internet for work! I'm not running anything hightech or using multiplr devices and I'm the only person in the house.


    DON'T PICK TALK TALK IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE.

    I moved house on the Saturday after lockdown and I cannot thank Talk Talk enough for the great service provided. When I phoned up about moving, I got brilliant service, and was moved to a better and more suitable contract. Also, because of the way Talk Talkalk is connected, I could still watch all my recordings on my Talk Talk box before connection. I got a call from a connecting engineer and he talked me through the process of connection. Then Talk Talk checked my lines for speed, and transferred my phone number without any problems. Thank you Talk Talk for being there for me during the start of lockdown when it was very hard to get any services.

    This company is the biggest pile of **** anyone could ever have dont go with them !!!!they lye engenders came twice couldn't sort problem out both said it was ent in my house an than charged me 65 ponds for them to come out to my house!!!they just robbed me ....said they would ring back with in 3 days so I rang them spent 2 hours on phone getting nowhere an than said they are sending a letter an would take another 5 days to come...who the **** do they think they ?     I cannot believe that I was stupid enough to fall into the hands of this worse than useless bandit company.

    If you are, like me, a gullible idiot tempted to fall for the sleek marketing fronting a disgraceful shell of a company providing a terrible service, I have one word of advice:DON'T.

    The actual products (broadband, phone and mobile) are certainly the worst out there and their customer care and handling is beyond abysmal. I have made at least 10 calls to this company and every single one has been a completye and utter waste of time, with customer service people barely able to speak English, let alone competent to resolve the most simple of problems. I actually feel sorry for these call centre people because they obviously are having to rely on terrible admin systems.

    I ahve now got to the point where it is really silly to keep on phoning/emailing these people. So I am going to have to write an old fashioned LETTER to ensure my problems are dealt with. What an indictment on a 21st century telecomms company!

    I have had some pretty rotten experiences with utility companies in the past, as we all have I am sure, but nothing - nothing - compares to this bunch of charlatans. They really are the pits. For the first time in my life I hope that a company goes bust and those at the top thrown on the scrpa heap where they belong.

    My monthly charge was increased to %50+ and I decided to change providers Feb 27. 2023.I am way over the contract period. I found a new price of £22+ per month. Next day TT phoned from their Manchester office offering the same price but £100 compensation, upgrade to fastest speed and unlimited phone. I accepted as they control my email.
    14th March an engineer from Kelly Comms arrived and I let him in. This involved a 140 mile trip. He left after fixing the connection in the street box and said it would take 20 minutes to come on. After 90 minutes the phone and Internet didn't work. Back to my other address to use another phone and i phoned Manchester to report it not working both on phone and Internet. The operator said my new account had stuck and they would try to fix it. Two weeks later still not working. Called Manchester again and told they had cleared problems and it would now work. South African office called to check my phone number and correct the account details. The account is all correct. Every time I call, despite being on the account they insist on me reading my details and password etc.
    Two more weeks and still no phone line or Internet. Also the £100 compensation is not into my account but it's an American token system where I get a virtual £100 on my phone, but this doesn't work either because it won't accept the codes that they email.
    I decided to cancel 3rd April and Manchester can't do it so connects me to a man with an Indian accent. He can't cancel without taking all my details including the new account number three times and putting me on hold 3x over half an hour. In the end I told him that I would stop the DD and he then said I would have to contact them again to check the cancellation had gone through. This will take me beyond the 10 days they said I had to cancel without charges. They then sent an email threatening to take me to court if I didn't pay subsequent charges and this would affect my credit worthiness.
    After reading other reviews here, I am convinced that the customers are being given the run around in order to make maximum profit. Please report this to Ofcom.

    I cannot tell you enough how awful the recent experience ive had with talk talk has been. 
    The story is a long one but briefly I wasnt able to use the tv service as signal so bad...they couldnt EVER talk to me as systems are always down....they dont listen to what you say and ask the same questions..cancelled my service then restarted it without me saying...list goes on. Please save yourself the frustration and upset.
    UPDATE FOLLOWING REPLY FROM TALK TALK
    I did contact the tech team mon many occasions but the wifi just wasnt enough to run the tv service at same time as laptops and phones so it kept freezing. They could not change this.
    Recently I went online to change address for moving house and the system wasnt working so I was told to chat. I tried to do so 4 times but 3 times the system was down and twice I was promised a call back which never happened after phoning.
    I was moving so gave up and went with another provider. Tried to call and cancel but system down. Eventually got to chat and was told i didnt need to cancel as it was already cancelled as new tenants provider had contacted. Then recieved email saying welcome to talk talk in your new home...hadnt even asked for it. Messaged again system down. Then got letter saying goodbye and i have to pay 89 pound to get out of contract..which i disputed as Id tried to transfer service. Was told by new provider that my phone number wasnt even registered at my property so couldnt transfer it. Then after moving the new tennants cant connect as my service is still live! Tried to chat again today and guess what? Systems are down.
    Its just been awful...frustrating and upsetting when already trying to move house. Wouldnt mind so much if the wifi quality had been good to start with.. more detail now given thank you x

    Made the appointment and waiting in all day and never turned up. I called up and they said the whole thing had been cancelled and I’d need to book another appointment. The worst service in every way. Avoid

    No service attall for 6 days and finally fixed it and then tell me to inconvienience myself more n trace bills etc and send to them for compensation wasteing my time useless

    If there was a 0 star, that would be better - shocking customer service based from the Philippines, not getting the speeds we signed up for, constantly trying to charge me for an engineer, although the issue is theirs. DO NOT GO WITH TALKTALK!!!

    NEVER NEVER NEVER Go with TALKTALK ow my god, they are the worst company ever, their customer service is so so so so bad.

    Unless you fancy a trip to hell and back, don't go with TalkTalk.

    The worst broadband service I've ever had. I was only with BT because they were the only service provider in my area at the time. Unreliable when I had to use them, and then when I rang them to cancel it when I moved... they just didn't cancel it. They charged me for a service I thought was closed for 14 MONTHS and have refused to refund me because they "can't find a record of my call". Instead, they brow-beat me on the phone for 45 minutes bouncing me back and forth, putting me on hold/just leaving me on the line whilst they typed. They couldn't even immediately close my account, I have to wait an extra week to be free of them. Never use them unless there is no alternative, and even if you have to use them... record your calls.
