    Worst company to join would highly recommend to avoid talk talk canceled my contract early would give 0 star as 1 star is too flattering they have zero communication skills broadband is so slow even though had fibre never went above 22mb with sky now and have 38mb so much better deals with sky or even virgin still waiting for compensation for 10 months of bad service so happy that I'm not with talk talk anymore

    Absolute shambles. This company is a joke. Takes you forever to get a connection with a adviser. Couple of times they just have up and put the phone down. Connection is slow! Just altogether a really awful service. Would not recommend to anyone. Oh and to top it off with all the issues, a multi million pound company could only offer £5 voucher against a bill. I mean really!

    renewed my contract for the fastest fibre a few months ago. have had absolutely no problems with talk talk. the service has been fast with an average 50mbps and no dropouts. only used their customer service when negotiating renewal and a week ago when orering the new wifi hub, everything was very efficient. would recommend them to any user.

    absolutely the worst service I have had from anyone or anything. unreliable billing, sudden unexpected charges and people in a call centre who cannot understand what I say. currently complaining and will undoubtedly take it to the ombudsman. utterly, utterly unpleasant and hopeless. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. others may look to be more expensive, but believe me, this company will take much, much more than their headline deals. in my case £184 more on top of an actual usuage bill of £18.20

    Never ever get in business with talk talk they team is very bad keep lay to customers and can't improve they service. We been promised around 9-10mb internet speed but what we get 3.4 mb that's a best normally around 1.7mb - 2.5mb ( my 3G internet is faster ), far last 6 months we been calling them, they can't even understand English ask me to slow down etc., very bad customer service never see in my life something like that. Also when we tell them we would like to cancel our contract they try to charge us £400 for service they can't even provide, they just keep blame BT, but we have nothing to do with BT we have contract with Talk Talk not BT. Also when we been on phone with them they say we send you new router out that's maybe improve internet speed after week waiting new router didn't turn up, we call them again spoke with manager, manager say sorry to hear that but we don't provide that kind of service, so how they expect customers to stay with them if they keep laying and don't do anything to improve they service.
    I am sorry to say but Talk Talk is nightmare to deal with all you can get is promises that's about it.

    SERIOUSLY, dont touch Talk Talk Broadband. They clealry train all there staff (mainly in India) to lie and say anything to get you off the phone. I have called over 20 times to get my broadband to work and they make up so many excuses and change the story so many times. They now refuse to send an engineer, even thou the last visit from the engineer said the fault is with Talk Talk. The staff are so rude especially the Indians and refuse to escalate my problems. SERIOUSLY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DONT TRY THEM, IT WILL END IN TEARS AND STRESS!!

    Just terrible. Broadband has been steadily getting worse to the point where it can't even run basic programmes like Netflix. Customer service is terrible - the staff are so unhelpful and sarcastic and seem to just make things up on the spot. Three engineers sent and still the problem hasn't been fixed - not surprising as (despite telling them there was no problem with the line) two of the engineers were line engineers who weren't qualified to check/fix the broadband.

    Switching to Virgin.

    I did not choose Talktalk. I am an ex-Virgin customer dropped because the area where my previous home was had only landline, not fibre and Virgin thought they don't want to support landline any more.
    So, the speed immediately dropped to half with Talktalk (from 16-18Mbps to 8-9Mbps) but at the end I was happy to see even 6Mbps download speed not mentioning the 50kbps upload "speed").
    When I moved home, Talktalk forced an 18 month contract, which, I think, was not fare. Struggling with the speed, I decided to upgrade to fibre optic despite the overpriced package. Again, I was forced to start another 18 month contract and received less than 20Mbs in good times, 10-15Mbs nowadays. The customer service promised at least 3 times that I was going to get a YouView box to be able to use my TV package, but nothing arrived.
    So, even if the internet works more or less, I am not a happy customer at all, and I would not choose Talktalk as I have not chosen them in the first place.

    The only reason I am not leaving this rubbish company is because I'm locked into a stupid contract. It provides poor internet poor customer service. I was told a new router would arrive within 3-4 days, it has now been 3-4 months. I don't have 2 hours to waste on incompetent customer service just for someone to tell me more lies.

    I moved to the new place and wanted to set up a broadband internet connection with them after seeing a good offer online. Have placed 3 orders for now of which 2 have been cancelled and the last one was "stuck". Customer service always takes hours to go through issues and no-one seems to be able to take responsibility. After shuffling between different departments and telling the customer service guys what to do I thought I managed to sort things out. After few days there's no improvement and I call them again. Looks like they're trying to hook people to their copper line connection by advertising a possibility of fiber optic and saying that you can immediately upgrade to fiber optic by setting up copper line at first. Comes out my house doesn't even have fiber optic lines installed and this will be only installed after there's enough demand from the whole apartment building... so much of immediate upgrade from copper to fiber optic.

    Please keep away if possible. I can't imagine resolving issues with them had I actually gone ahead with the installation!

    They promise you fast fibre speeds of 30+ mpbs....ha ha...be happy if you touch 10 mpbs download and 5 mpbs upload speed. The internet is erratic. Cuts off ever so often. Pathetic service.

    There products are ok, but compared to what you can get from BT and SKY for the same price they are awful. Broadband only works in one room of my house. Speed is ok.
    Customer service is absolutely shocking; they are rude, they outright lie (when I called to cancel, they said our systems are down call back at 9pm, I rang at 9, the machine said the close at 8!) They aren't knowledgeable about their own products, and sometimes they just hang up in the middle of a call. Absolute disgrace!

    Go live date was Friday the 2nd , after the unusual 7-10days waiting ?? WHY ( they obviously don't do anything constructive in this time )So today is the Monday the 5th...Still NO BRAODBAND / WIFI shocker!!!
    Many Many Many phone calls , different answers and yet still NO REAL answer as to why the WIFI is not working. Call centre should run for office as politicians.

    Cancelled my contract after the price was raised mid contract. Talktalk kept on billing me. Sent over 30 email complaints to them. Not one response other than the automatic answer saying they would respond to my complaint in 3 days. I now have a county court judgement for an address I have never lived at from them. It was only discovered when i was turned down for credit.I am in the process of having the judgement set aside. I will then be forced to sue them for the damage they have done to my finances and reputation. Disgusting behavior. Terrible service. AVOID!

    Let's start with the positive, by comparison to a lot of their rivals they are cheap - that is the ONLY positive point I can think of relating to Talk-Talk. On the other hand you could say you get what you pay for....

    Our broadband speed ranges from awful to totally unusable, often the broadband drops out totally and the only way to re-gain service is to re-set the router. Despite countless service calls and complaints to a number of extremely rude and aggressive customer service agents this has never been addressed, the only option they could offer was to upgrade to fiber which would then put their package cost on par with Virgin and Sky!

    We have experienced numerous service outages (both broadband and phone), which is a serious issue when working from home, and with two teenage children studying GCSE's who rely on internet connection for research and homework. Each and every time we report an issue Talk-Talk refuse to acknowledge the issue could be with their service, always blaming the phone line connection inside our house (the issue it has always been a problem at the local exchange, or with their service).

    I accept that things go wrong with technology from time to time, but my biggest issue by far with Talk-Talk is their contempt and utter lack of respect for their customers. All of their customer support agents are off-shore, so far the agents I have spoken with have a very poor command of the English language and work from a script - so the minute you have a question 'off script' they become quite disoriented and aggressive.

    They are also not willing to learn from past experiences, we have had the same issue three times in a month and each time the agent insisted on opening a new incident and walking through a very lengthy fault finding process which ultimately didn't tell them a thing! The fault was at the local BT exchange and required a BT engineer to perform some magic.

    Aside from their utter lack of customer service they have also tried to invoice me for BT engineers who have had to visit the distribution cabinets in the road to fix faults, when I refused to pay the invoice the agent threatened court action over the phone!

    Unless you like paying for an extremely slow, unreliable service backed up by an aggressive, rude and ill-informed overseas customer (no)service department I would steer well clear of this incredibly unprofessional company. There are so many other options available that unless Talk-Talk address these inherent issues I cannot see how they will survive long term.....

    I would give them 0 if could. If your broadband of phone line are important do not go with Talk Talk . I have mentioned that the phone line is important as call an emergency care line service .
    I was supposed to have new service in 15/06/2017 it is now the 19/06/2107 4 days without broadband or phone. Cannot get staff to deviate from script at all. Have been told from 16/06/2017 that an engineer is on his way . Last night I called they told me I need to book and engineer????
    Have never had feedback as promised not told it will take another 72 hours. Wish I had never signed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Been with Talk Talk now about 8 months. I will not be renewing my contract when its up. Internet speed has always been slow. I had no internet for 4 days, I couldn't get through to anyone over the weekend, just kept getting a message saying closed even though it was within opening hours. Had to take annual leave for engineers to come out. Open Reach came out and they were great, sorted the internet which took some 6 hours but they sorted the fault which was the line outside. I have just spoken to someone in complaints who refused to pass on my feedback regarding my complaint in that I wasn't happy with £20 knocking off my next bill. She didn't understand or appreciate 4 days without any TV or internet access along with having to take a day of leave. I also pointed out that I struggle to get internet in one of my bedrooms, signal isn't strong enough, she wasn't interested and quite frankly was rude so much so I told her to keep the £20.
    I will be going back to Virgin when I am able to.

    If I could have given 0, I would have, supposed to have WiFi fitted on the 14/11, had no contact to change the date whatsoever, after ring customer services more times than I can count, been told that its now not being set up until the 29/11, less than useful staff constantly being passed around from department to department and put on hold,cancelled my contract before it even began. Do not go with talktalk.

    Talk Talk are rubbish. Trying to speak to someone regarding problems is a waste of time as you cannot understand what they are saying and allways say any problem will be sorted out in 72hours but it never is.

    The saying quality not quantity sparks to mind with talk talk. Although their broadband and landline deals are stated to be as good as other providers but just cheaper is complete rubbish. Their WiFi signal is low and non-existent most of the time. Also when you try and call customer service for help you get no help but rather attitude and rude replies. I would rather pay a bit extra and have less of the hassle!

    Went with TalkTalk despite so many bad reviews on here and TalkTalk being one of the worst rated, so I wanted to leave a review of my experience thus far.
    We ordered our WiFi, the time before we could get booked in could of been better. I think it was 2 weeks. We had to have a line setup. It was meant to cost £85 but it was credited back to us so we got it for free. (Side note: we have 5 phones with EE but they ‘couldn’t’ give us a free line setup). Our go live date was up until midnight of the day in which it was installed and it started working right away. So far I’ve had maybe a 30 second episode of slightly slow internet but they said thats to be expected for the first 10 days. Engineer was polite and quick, they even call when they’re on their way to you, I’m unsure if this is something you need to request, but either way this is something they can do. Online Customer service are readily available and saves stupid phone calls where you have to wait 30 minutes to have a 5 minutes phone call.
    I think the issue here is that people usually only pop by and leave a review if they have a bad experience to warn others.

    This is the worst broadband I have ever had, the connection always drops when I'm streaming, gaming.. Yes it's cheap and there is a reason for that because it's crap!!! Sort it out!

    Honestly have spent years of my life on the phone trying to sort out broadband issues, raking up an £80 mobile bill as had no working phone line. Get less than 4mbp speed sometime not even 1mbp, always cutting out and crashing up to 5 times a day. They then said would send an engineer out but i would have to pay? Tried to cancel and was told I would have to pay a cancellation fee. Good job i know my rights and after explaining they quickly back tracked. Awful company and useless service. Feel for the people this company will have ripped off. Stay well away from them. You might think your getting a good deal but you will end up paying for nothing.

    Absolutely awful. Was told to be in for an engineer who never arrived. Turned out they'd sent all the wrong equipment. Call handler in India couldn't understand what I was saying and unable to deviate from their script so nothing got resolved. Locked in a contract but not receiving any service at all! When I tried to complain on the chat bot I was told they don't have a complaints team, they have a separate team for every other flipping thing! Totally incompetent company.left me stressed and upset. Would not recommend.

    I've been with talktalk for many years and have now given up. I do not have the time or energy to switch providers but enough is enough. The customer service is awful to say the least, the staff are so rude and are unable to speak English properly !
    They are not good value for money and over charge on many things. I started by paying £15 a month and now pay £35, wouldn't mind if the internet was fast but it is appallingly slow !
    Cannot wait till May when my contract finishes, I will be moving to a different and better provider.
    Good riddance to a bad company ! TalkTalk is the worst company ever !

    Really slow. I had to order a new router and it took them so long just to give it or even tell me whats wrong. Don't recommend to anyone it is terrible!

    We switched to talk talk from BT after we were told lies from the sales rep, her manager and the guy who set up our account. As a result we were charge early termination fees from BT (£141) when we were assured we wouldn't. I called Talk Talk several times and each time it took ages for someone to answer. Each time they were apologetic but said that someone would call me back but no one ever did. Today it's installation day. The engineer simply did not turn up. We have no Internet and I'm working from home so you can imagine the nightmare. We're tried to contact them via the chat but got absolutely nowhere. Now trying to call but still waiting 45 min later! I used to be with Talk Talk years ago and it was a good company. They became horrendous and dishonest since. Do believe the bad reviews or you'll be like me : sorry and with no broadband.

    Speed has always been slow, can never get a good connection for things such as FaceTime. Past two days the router has been dropping off almost every minute. Called customer service and after them having us unplug everything and plug back in. Was told we had to go 3 days with no internet as no engineers would be available. No offer of compensation or anything, just a “well tough” kind of response. Very disappointing, seems like they don’t really care for customers to be honest.

    I’ve been with talk talk for years but will NOT be renewing when my current contract expires in November ... why?

    Simply because I found my last bill had an increase charge of £4 for “tv services” ? . Had to spend ages getting through to customer services to find out about the extra charges I knew nothing about. It turns out I was informed by email (more than likely it went in my junk folder therefore not read by me) about the £4 monthly charge for extra tv services I did not want or request ! Yes i was told I’d received an email about the charge and I opted out of receiving the new “tv services” BUT my complaint, and why I will be dumping talk talk is because the email should have had the option to opt in for the new @services” rather than just opting me in mandatorily requiring me to pay an extra £4 per month for something I didn’t ask for or want !

    Very naughty talk talk, I’m guessing from the chat I’ve seen online that you will be losing many thousands of customers because of your underhand tactics to charge customers more for extra “services” we do not want or need .... and I will be one of them !!!!

    Been trying to cancel Talk Talk for weeks, not even in a contract and we've been told unable to cancel and will still be paying as you have to cancel online and my father doesn't even have internet and doesn't go online. Can't do anything by ringing them up, disgusting service, just go around in circles. He has stopped his direct debit and wants a final bill but we have been trying to get them to understand this for weeks. Horrible for older people who want to do things via phone, appalling service.

    i am still so angry about the talk talk customer service and its been 3weeks later, i joined talk talk before i moved to my new adress on the 25th of april, and was told the line would be active 1st of may and an enginner would come to install everything to cut story short, its 19th of may today and i still ahvent got the serrvice have spoke to over 20 customer advisors and have had no response. i have paid first bill for nothing.

    Awful broadband service providers. It has taken me almost 3 months if chasing them up to resolve broadband slow speed issue only to find they’ve know since June I can’t get the speeds quoted even with the extra boost. Apparently my time (calculated at approx 20 hours) is worth nothing yet the ‘resolution’ only happened due to MY persistence in. Chasing them up. Buy a barge pole you’ll need one ...

    I really do wish I could give minus stars.
    I had been without broadband for 2 months, I have failed my university course, because Talk Talk could not get the service back. They told me I would get compensation for the very poor service I have had, I phone them tonight and spend over 2 hours on the phone, getting switched to different departments, and they then go and tell me they can not pay me any compensation directly, because I have not paid the bill out standing. I am not being funny, but I am not paying for something that is not working!, I have recorded all of the phone calls, and even videod my services not working, there for I am getting in touch with my solicitor to take things further!, £15000 worth of debt because I have failed my course, because this incompetant company could not fix my issue! 2 engineers coming out, useless, and a router sent out, didnt work! The company is a shambles, the customer service is shocking, and the services?, well they are terrible, I am now with BT, and I could not be happier
