Do not go with this company. Above all else, the customer service is atrocious.
I phoned to find out when my contract was due to end and was told 17th March, but after that date it would continue on a month by month basis and I may be charged if I move house!!
What a cheek, when I have only signed up for a 12 month contract.

I was then transferred to another 'team' - sounded like a group of people chatting to each other loudly in a shack somewhere.
The advisor couldn't understand a single thing I said and just kept going silent - she didn't seem to have even a basic grasp of English.

This is not a company who have any morals whatsoever when it comes to the treatment of staff or their customers, clearly.

I would certainly not sign up with them again.

After 9 months of torture we are leaving Talk Talk. Do NOT sign up with them. Internet literally never worked the whole time. Phone didn't work for the first few months. They kept trying to charge us for things and then I would spend hours on the phone taking care of it. They say they will call back and don't. Do yourself a favour and sign up with anyone else!!

Cannot even rate this company, sadly have been with them for years! When i went with Talk Talk it was for broadband and telephone line, when fitted it tuyrned out that i cannot use my phone at the same time as my broadband due to terrible interference. I contacted Talk Talk only within a couple of days only to be told its not the broadband but my telephone line and that i would need to call an engineer out which would cost me!! Funny that everything was okay prior to having Talk Talk!! Also trying to get through to them was a complete nightmare. I cannot use the two together which i actually pay for. STAY AWAY from TALK TALK they are an awful company to deal with!!!!

Doesn't even deserve one star.. The internet is very very slow even though it says it is running normally. Customer service expect me to use a different source of internet to contact them back when the first place i got broadband was to connect to the internet because i didn't have any. they then tell me they can call me and i explained that i didn't have a home phone so they kept repeating the question and i gave them an alternative number and they said they can't contact me and that i have to contact them. So which is it? They are going to phone me or i have to phone them? Talk Talk is the worst broadband i have ever been with. They are also giving false information. i know for a fact that my line speed isn't what they are claiming it to be because it would be a lot quicker if it was. I cannot watch anything online, web pages will take a long time to load up or won't load at all.

DONT GO WITH TALK TALK NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE OFFER SOUNDS!

They make offers so that they can get people into buying their broadband deals yet it is no worth a single penny!

where do i start, saw an online offer for simply broadband free for 18 months and a £100 love2shop voucher if you swap from sky and keep your old number. only after i had submitted the order did i realise that they had given me a new number, so got in touch via online chat the same hour of the order. so a week before the service goes live stay the same new number, so again i contact them, no reply.
Today the service went live, well was meant to. No internet or landline, so my wife calls them. long story short she was on the phone for four hours spoke to 10 different people. despite being told that it was talktalks fault she was actually told that we where to blame. after 4 hours of pass the customer AND £45 of charges to her mobile bill ( as landline not connected) she got the account sorted EXCEPT that as there is new landline number we do not qualify for the voucher offer. SCAM DONT ON FALL FOR IT LIKE US.

AVOID!! AVOID !! AVOID !! If you are even contemplating talk talk for a cheaper deal dont you will pay more in every way !!! I was a Sky customer and they were great.I left because we needed to save money and Talk Talk came up the cheapest.Well what a bad move. I signed up for a set deal and after a month got a ridiculous bill stating that that deal was old and was on a new plan how can this be when i have the paper work. They would not honour it and set me up on a new plan which was better it was a little more but was told for 12 months instead of 18 so would be out earlier. I have had numerous issues with internet speed my remote going funny then the tv box not working (ps the tv box is rubbish if you want to pull you hair out all the time as its so slow and does what it want always fails recording and works two steps behind what you ask great !)I had a fault remote volume wouldn't work and it was 2 months old they said for a new one it would be £6 but i told them it was not my fault and i would send it to them to look at, after a long battle they said it would be free so along comes the next bill tad-ahh it was charged i called and furiously kicked off and they returned it.Then the tv box wasn't responding i was told if it was my fault it would be £120 but if it was there's it would be free they would be there on a day no specific time just 8 -6 and i have to be in if i wasn't in they would charge me £60. Guess what they came at 715 as we were having dinner and low and behold the box was broken !! So when i enquired about when i can cancel they said not for 14 months as i had signed up for a 18month contract. I was told one thing by the guy on the phone and given another deal when it came to light i didn't check the paper work as i thought the phone calls were recorded apparently they are not when your need to retrace your steps !!! They wont help on the phone and keep saying go to our website and log in to your account to change what you want always avoiding helping you.I even had technical help me once with the internet and they asked me to unplug my line to see if that was as fault when i was on the line ?!?!?! DONT use talk talk ever go with Virgin BT or Sky a little more or about even in my case but the customer service and professionalism is far better. Also i got a half price movie offer before Christmas and i they have a new one out now i tried to use it but because i have used that offer once they can not give it to me ever again only to new customers total bull (Movies channel is through internet and picture quality is grainy)!!!

When my contract ends i will leave and will never return and if you are

Talk talk have been unclear from the start about everything! I signed up with the prospect of a voucher(which was the only thing that made the package more attractive than other competitors at the time) then they said I wasn't eligible, then they ignored some emails (closing incident numbers without responding) and took ages to reply to others.
Their customer services people have always been polite but never seem to be able to readily see history so I've had to repeat myself over and over and never seem to get anywhere.

I'd read some poor reviews of Talk Talk's customer service, but it seemed that the majority of these issues were a few years ago so decided to take up their service, sadly I was wrong.
After looking at some broadband and TV packages, I was pushed through to the TalkTalk sales portal and given a number to call. After discussing the package I'd chosen with the sales staff and importantly reiterated the channel selection for confirmation, I made my purchase. Two weeks later approximately, the service was set up only for me to discover a number of the channels I'd ordered were not available. After a call to customer service I was told these channels were not on the plan I had and would require me to pay more to upgrade, they also told me that as this was a third party site they had no control over what was put up. A comment I rebuked by informing him I was pushed through to the TalkTalk website and had verbalised this with one of the Talk Talk sales team (not a very customer centric method of dealing with the complaint). I was deeply disatisfied with this answer and asked to make a formal complaint and was assured of being called from the CEO's office (really?) within 5 working days. After day 6, I called back and was told in no uncertain terms that the offer would not be given as discussed. End of discussion. At this point I decided to cancel my service with them immediately.
My only recommendation is to be crystal clear if purchasing by phone as mis selling is still present in the market place, and other than a complaint to Ofcom, you have little immediate recourse outside of your initial 14 day cooling off period. There is plenty of content online, so please educate yourself before taking out a plan. Poor form Talk Talk
