    Very Slow and a Very Unreliable Connection gets achieved through Talk Talk. Though their prices are not too bad they certainly don`t compensate for the companys poor performance and lack of speed !

    I was a happy Talktalk customer in North Cumbria. Now an extremely unhappy customer in South Cumbria. 2 weeks into a new contract my broadband constantly cuts out and download speeds vary enormously. (Talktalk do not have their own equipment in my local exchange so my contract is far more expensive too.) I am sick of the time wasted, without results, having to deal with unhelpful and poorly trained staff in call centres abroad. As my internet is intermitant they simply can't resolve my problem - it's not on their list of procedures to follow! The staff always blame my equipment and answer pointed questions with "I have to follow company procedure!" There is no option to speak to anyone in the UK I feel fobbed off with excuses. I am writing this review sat on the floor, by my front door with the Ethernet cable plugged into my laptop and an estimated 10 minutes before I get cut off again - this has nothing to do with the Talktalk router or the package! Am totally disgusted with them as a company - fat profits through exploitation of cheap labour with no benefits to the customer! Stay away from them.

    When i joined i was told my estimated speed was 7.3Meg.speed test`s indicate about 6.5Meg.
    Only ever use the members forum if i have problems as they are first class.

    Other reviews more or less say it all. TalkTalk do not deliver the goods in terms of a reliable and quality service and constant disconnections/dropouts are frustrating, particularly when my daughter is downloading her lecture material from University. The telephone is disrupted occasionally, but not often, and this is really the most reliable part of the package. My speed is hardly ever more than 2.8M, thoguh on off peak it soars to 8.5M on occasions. This unpredictability makes it more frustrating. Customer service? Forget it. By the time they answer the phone, the problem is usually resolved, and the staff are hopeless when you do manage to get through...We are looking around now for something better...Trouble is, there are now horror stories for every ISP...Wish I lived abroad, where service and quality are far higher and the service cheaper. UK Rip-off

    Had been with TalkTalk for phone & Tiscali for B/B for several years with no problems.Then in June,switched to a total package with Tiscali, phone & B/B for £28/month.
    First invoice was for £45.80 & when I queried the amount they cut off my broadband , cancelled my account. Would'nt or could'nt restore my B/B service.Spent around 8 hrs on the phone to their centres trying to get service back..useless.
    Wrote to their top management complaining. NO reply at all. Dont touch TalkTalk with a barge pole. Would never recommend them even to my worst enemy.

    for a start i wouldn't give talktalk one star i would give them none they are the worse ISP i have ever come across slow speed,no connection,poor customer service and worse of all stealing money and lying

    When i joined i was told i would get about 7.4Meg,i get between 6 and 7Meg.
    Customer services is poor, but the members forum is first class.

    Overall, happy with our telephone and broadband price. But living in a village we STILL don't have the broadband speeds that most people who don't live in rural areas have as a norm. !! Would really love it if something could be done to improve our broadband speeds, and soon. :)

    they offered me the essentials package as contract was nearing end.Advisor told me I would have all the same deals as before but with a few extras, so I agread to another 18months contract.When I got info through post I did not have anything like as good a deal as before and the cost had gone up by£4 month.When I complained to customer services I was told I had agread to the contract on the phone so if I didn,t like it I could cancel contract for £13.00 a month x18months.I would warn talktalk customers that if they get a phone call from advisor to renew contract don,t agree over the phone.ask for detail in post before you agree to renew.Hope this might save you the hassle I am having.
