Really wanted virgin but it's not available in my area, so had to go with talk talk they offered fibre but it's more like dial up, now I'm looking to move house just so I can get away from talk talk, waste of money! Avoid! How can Virgin offer so much better internet and talk talk can't get no where near their speeds

Absolutely useless company with worst customer service ever. If you have no requests such as "I need to move home and I am moving into temporary accommodation so can't transfer my account" then perhaps they are fine, however the cancellation process has been beyond a joke. I have been overcharged, had promises made repeatedly that are never fulfilled and they continue to automatically contact me saying I owe them money - despite several verbal and written confirmations that there are no outstanding charges. Their customer services have no ability to actually solve any problems and they insist on doing everything over the phone so they have complete deniability. Avoid like the plague.

Problems from start to finish. I am now stuck with these muppets for 18 months. Abysmal service, overseas call-centres where people read blindly from a script and you waste hours of your life trying to get problems resolved. I wish I had never signed up - and certainly never will again.

We have been with Talk Talk for 18 months. Download speed of less than 1. Despite numerous calls to Customer Services, no difference. Our neighbours, on the same exchange, get a speed of 5-6 with BT. We left BT as Talk Talk was cheaper. Come October, we are going back to BT. The phrase 'cheap and nasty' springs to mind. Avoid Talk Talk unless you want an unreliable service with download speeds similar to a snail!

Simply the Worst Internet connection I've ever had, without even a slight exaggeration. Customer service for one is quite good and helpful, if you manage to get through to a live agent and make a strong enough complaint. My job depends on a stable Internet connection and it's been pretty much unusable for the most time. I haven't cancelled my contract yet simply because I expect to move house any time soon. Connection is intermittent at best. Whenever I've had more serious issues, they would be addressed and all will be fine for a week but the sevice will go back to the same intermittent unusable state within a week. I'm not sure what the reason is and if that is deliberate traffic dirversion but honestly it's simply the worst Internet connection I've had since 2004. It's not the speed that bothers me - it's the lack of stability and unreliability of the connection. Never go with these guys, no matter the price.

The staff seemingly have scripts that they follow and no matter what you as a customer say, you will get the scripted response. I wish I was partial to a nightly tipple when I ring them as they would certainly drive me to drink. I have been on the phone for hours, (no hyperbole) and still not resolved the issue even when it has been very simple, on any planet except planet talktalk, who would never ever admit they have got it wrong or do not know what to do. I am a pensioner on a fixed income, but would rather pay more for my service and leave talktalk behind as I cannot deal with the stress of dealing with the ineptitude of the company,

I would confirm the previous review. I have been a talktalk customer for 20 plus years and have always paid my bills on time and in full. January 2015, I was billed incorrectly and queried this by email 3 times and by phone 5 times. Totally dissatisfied with their inability to rectify my account I cancelled my direct debit to innitiate a response.I also sent a formal letter of complaint to their customer service department to which I received a reply on 16/4/15 stating that I would receive a final bill on 15/5/15. Today,25/4/15 I have received a letter from a Debt Collection Agency!! For £68 which includes £20 admin fee. Stay away from this inadequate company.

LOL! TT think that they're going to charge me £300 for cancelling my contract! I can't wait!! The Asian person I spoke to did her best, but didn't resolve the issues, for which I'm paying almost £40 a month. I have 2 words to say to TT and the 2nd word is off. How very shoddy. No service of any kind. I refuse to pay. Charlatans and Thieves at best. I want to go to BT - at least they are reliable. I was told by a BT rep that they had to accommodate the "opposition" to maintain the market. Isn't it a shame that there's only one Monopolies Commission? TT can try to sue me. I look forward to that. Is there enough of us out there, to take on TalkTalk? I'm 4' 11" and 7 stone, on a good day with the wind behind me. I can take them on my own, if you're all too scared.
