Awful company. I have had to take 3 separate days unpaid time off work to wait for engineers who never showed. Apparently they were each cancelled but no one bothered to inform me. Thanks Talk Talk for nothing! Still don't have a working tel, broadband or tv for almost 1 month now. customer service has been disgusting.

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. For the fourth time in 4 weeks have been on the phone to them for nearly an hour each call. Tonight was 1 hour and 7 minutes. This was just to close the account.
The quote they give you , don't believe it. The cost will be at least double. When you try to close the account after giving them two months notice they then try to charge another months notice period. I spoke to a Vanessa one of the Managers she was helpful, after 50 mins, more or less on hold, I was getting quite frustrated and she was helpful. Nothing they could say would make me go back to Talk talk or ever recommend them. If you have plenty time to spare and like phone music and are happy to pay double the price that you were given, then this would be the Company for you. Virgin:- much cheaper, customer service much better, and they charge you what they say they will.

We called them that we are moving house and they automatically renew the package for our new house for 18 months! What I don't get is why we still have to pay so much money to cancel? They don't listen and resolve the problem but instead they had the gut to call us and tell us to stop with the complaints! This crazy service !.D lol this must be embarrassing for u lot to hear. #ShouldBeAshamed

I signed up TalkTalk at the beginning of December 2014, my first engineers appointment was cancelled so I had to wait almost 4 weeks to for the engineer to come to get my fibre optic broadband connected.
I signed up to the 38MB package and I have been lucky to get 6MB on a good day, most evening I get about 2MB - sometimes I cant even watch Netflix or BBCiPlayer because its so slow.
Ever since I signed in December my Broadband would cut out for hours and sometimes even days - I called up and complained and it took them 3 weeks to fix it - so I had no broadband for 3 weeks - upon fixing the problem I found out my landline hadnt been working since day one! Good thing I dont rely on my landline. And to rub salt in the wound they have sent me my bill for this month and I have to pay it or I will get charged/fined £10 - and I can only apply for compensation once the problem is fixed - they say the issue/fault is still on going.... still waiting...

At first things were going very well. Then my account got hacked which I personally had to deal with, then my mobile deal started being overcharged which took 3 customer advisors an hour to work out what 50% off £15 is. I signed up to fibre broadband (18month)with my landline going up £60 within that time and they trap you into a cycle of extra fees. learnt my lesson - don't trust these crooks

To anybody considering using Talk Talk, then my advice is DON'T. I was an AOL customer for many years which became a part of Talk Talk. After some time of unreliable internet access (unexpected drop-outs etc) I shopped around and found a new provider. Even the simple things like "How did you work out my final bill" could not be answered. I am still writing to them to get a refund (already agreed) 3 months on. The rating section of this review does not give a ZERO for customer service, but that is all I can say

6 months with them. Major speed and connectivity problems from the start. I've lost count of the number of times I have phoned them and been through the same telephone/remote troubleshooting process. 3 engineer visits as well but problem continues. I went through to cancellation but they convinced me to let them have another go at foxing. Last engineer visit of the three mentioned above was 11 days ago. I've heard nothing more. I therefore need to ring them again and go through the same me menu options and tedious question answering before I can get to speak to someone. I'm absolutely sick of receiving apologies and platitudes but no meaningful progress solving my problems. It is cheap but the old adage really does apply - you get what you pay for. If you can afford an extra few quid a month go elsewhere, anywhere - PLEASE DO NOT GO TO TALK TALK.

Talk Talk have been the worst provider for any service I have ever experienced, I will never use them again in any of my properties.
I specifically had call barring and was issued with a £100 bill for calls. when called them they said I called and asked the call baring to be removed. When asked for this proof none was given. tried to close account and complain and Talk Talk delayed for 1 year so not only was I overcharged I have had to pay for a years worth of service I have never used. unfortunately the Ombudsman is not really here for the end user and it would have been cheaper just to pay and cancel than try to fight the overcharge and now £300 later I still lost. what a disgusting company especially Lorraine Macleod who has just ignored any communication and who's job it is just to rip innocent people off. Stay away

If you are considering signing a contract with this company FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T!!!
We signed an 18 month contract with talk talk in 2013, for the first few months it was great, then the internet speed started to drop, getting to the point where we no longer had good enough speeds to watch catch up TV/Now TV both of which were services we were paying for.
After multiple phone calls and arguments with talktalk's less than helpful customer service representatives talktalk finally agreed to send out an engineer to see what the issue was, warning us that if the issue was found to be our fault we would have to pay £50 for the call out, we we're told the engineer would be with us a month later. After telling my partner this he said he wasn't waiting that long, cancel the contract and we'll get a new provider. Funnily enough when I called to cancel I was very quickly informed that they would send an engineer out within 4 days!! On his visit the engineer confirmed the issue was with the equipment provided by talktalk and reassured me that I would not be charged for this visit as the fault was not ours.
As you've probably already guessed they charged me for that visit therefore taking money out of my account without my knowledge or cencent putting me over drawn leaving me with a £60 bank chargers whilst it took them 10 days to return the money to me.
After another 7months of continued problems both with the internet connection and the customer service provided we gave up, I rang talktalk yesterday to tell them I wanted to cancel my contract as I wanted to sign up with another provider (I don't trust providers to do this as we have lost money before through a new provider saying they would cancel the current contract and not doing it.... thinking about it that was when we moved from Sky to talktalk so another cock up on talktalk's behalf) I was told that my contract runs out on April 28th so they would cancel our contract on the 29th so that we would not incur any charges, I asked what would happen with another provider taking over, they said that's not a problem they would call talktalk and take over the line and sort it out between themselves. I today got a phone call to be told I will be charged £20 as my new provider has asked to take over the line on the 9th April, after 20mins of pointing out to talktalk that the information they provided me was incorrect to which they have agreed, they are still however going to charge me for canceling my contract "early" despite the fact that only yesterday told me that I would not be charged and that the line change would be sorted between themselves and my new provider!!
Please take my experience on board if you are considering this company, they have literally stolen from me, and they are going to do it again, I will be going to CAB tomorrow and if needs be I will continue this further. Please do not put yourself at talktalk's mercy because they will make sure you regret ever making such a stupid decision.

    letter sent to talktalk:-

We had a fix term contract for 12months. This was arranged by you, whom unsolicited, contacted me to stay with your company after I had cancelled and left, due to cost increase. Your sales pitch was;-

''if we give you this fix term cost would you come back''

Several months into this agreement, you reneged on in, giving one month notice to increase the cost again. I immediately gave one months notice of termination by emails below, due to your breach of trust and agreement. Then followed this up with a second email on 02 December 2014. The service therefore was cancelled on the 18 December 2014.

You continue to send out bills for after that date, as if I had not cancelled the service. Further to add pain to the injury think I am going to acquiesce to some early termination clause!

Why are you acting in such an unprofessional manner?
